...Home Sweet Home?...
Aurdel watched the console, carefully. Things were not going as planned. Though if he were to be honest, his 'plan' hadn't exactly been built upon the most ideal of circumstances. Just recently he'd left Reach in a somewhat damaged but still travel capable Frigate. The only odd thing that occurred the moment that he'd begun his journey was related to the slipspace drive, and that when the ship entered slipspace it was by no means in a traditional manner. In fact it was nothing like he'd ever seen before. The typical method of slipspace travel for the UNSC always seemed like it was punching a hole through space, allowing a ship to enter into another dimension. This was much different. It was more like space had folded towards his ship and surrounded him, then unfolded allowing him to travel to a different location. Though all that being said, he didn't think that he was able to control where he was going. If he remembered correctly about what he was told, he wouldn't be going to Earth. Or, at least, not his Earth. It was all very complicated but still all out of his control. There was very little that he could do, except prepare for when the ship exited slipspace. Alarms sounded. From here he was able to see that the slipspace engine was being overworked. Even though it appeared physically that he'd only traveled the usual distance between Reach and Earth, the actual traveled distance appeared to be nearly tens times as large.
The shielding of the drive had begun to crack, so he shut it down. It was a dangerous move given that the ship was still in slipspace, but it was the possible chance of death via rapid exit or by having his molecules scattered across several dimensions. The blue light that surrounded the ship soon began to falter and fall apart as it became obvious that the ship was exiting slipspace, the superstructure of the ship beginning to flex under the pressure of the ending portal. There were breaches in some of the sections, certain hallways collapsing inward as a result of previous damage and the current force acting on them. As the ship exited slipspace he stepped up from the Captain's chair and put his boots on the ground, firmly magnetically locking them to the floor. Dropping out of slipspace had caused an immense amount of whiplash, and had he not been standing up as opposed to sitting down he would have been thrown through his chair and across the room. When the ship settled and simply floated in space he deactivated his magboots and walked over to the holotable, opening a projection of the stars at his current location. When compared to what he knew it was essentially confirmed that he was in the Sol system, though with minor differences. All the planets were here, but there were many minor differences. Mars was the red planet that it used to be before it was colonized, an image he'd only seen in history books. Beautiful in a way, but anxiety inducing in another. With further inspection he found that none of the stations he knew to orbit it were there either. With no further recourse he attempted to restart the drive, but to no avail.
Upon travelling to the reactor room and examining the drive he found that the shielding on the device was cracked severely, and that if he did somehow manage to get the drive to jump then it likely would not have ended well for him. All he could do now was use the ship's fusion drives to travel through normal space. He inspected the rest of the ship. Weapon systems, life support, vehicle bays and hangers were the important sections of the ship. Fortunately, they were all intact, He also made sure to take stock of all that supplies that were aboard the ship. The armory was only about half equipped, with most of the standard issue assault rifles and magnums missing alongside high explosive weapons. The MAC gun was still in working order and had a full load of ammunition, though he was unsure if the ship's reactor would be able to charge it. Two thirds of the archer pods remained, half of the point defense gun blocks were still in working order with ammunition and three of the twelve coil guns still vehicles there were a dozen Warthogs, four Scorpions, a group of six Mongooses, two Falcons, three Hornets and three Pelicans. There was also a pair of Longswords and both had all of their ammunition, but only one was functional. If the Covenant managed to find him now he gave himself slim to no odds of surviving a battle. Right now his only choice was to travel to Earth trying to gather more gear and equipment, though repairing the drive was on the top of his priorities.
He went back to the Captain's chair and directed the ship away from Mars, bringing it about to face Earth. It looked almost the same as it did in his world, though different in a few ways. Just like Mars, many of the stations that he knew to circle the planet were not there. There were no orbital defense platforms, space elevators, orbital shipyards and very few communication satellites. The planet itself however appeared to be much cleaner, with much less light pollution coming from the areas that were currently experiencing night. Even the Sahara seemed to be a little bit more green than he remembered it, but it was something that he would have to look in later if he had the chance. The ships engines roared to sped up and as the Frigate edged closer and closer towards the planet.
When he landed the ship he was going to have to find a way to hide it from the rest of the world. If news were to come out that a strange man in a strange vessel came from space, revealing that aliens were real and threatened to destroy humanity, mass panic would almost certainly ensue. But then again, there weren't many places for him to hide it. If he left it on a place such as the moon then it was sure to be spotted by some astrologist who happened to be observing the natural satellite. If left in orbit of the Earth, it was bound to be spotted and reported much quicker than the previous idea. The two options were the best that he could think of given his situation, with the only others being to either scuttle the ship or land it in some place on Earth. Unwilling to lose his way back home, landing it would be his only recourse. Reasonably it would have to be some place that most would not dare venture into, such as Death Valley in California. But if a national government became involved, then there was no guarantee that natural barriers could keep them from sending in an investigatory team.
That was when he had the only idea that he thought would properly work, he was going to land the ship into the ocean. Or rather, he was going to let it crash into the ocean. The ship would easily be misidentified at a meteor entering the atmosphere, and if it were to crash into the ocean then survey teams would label it to be too much of a hassle to attempt to investigate and ignore it for other finds. Ideally, he would have to crash it into the Pacific Ocean. Given the youthful appearance of the Earth, it was safe to assume that it was roughly in the twenty-first century. If he were to land anywhere near the USA, the only thing he would end up doing is getting into a shootout with hundreds of federal agents and the army. Canada would be more friendly to him, but they didn't have the resources he needed. If he landed in Asia he would have to avoid China, as they would have a response just as bad if not worse than the US response. So as far as he could tell, his best choices were Korea and Japan. He prepared the descent course for the ship.
For lack of better phrasing, the situation had gone to absolute hell. After setting the course and putting on the autopilot for the ship, Aurdel had gone to gather the supplies he would need when he was on the ground. That meant guns, ammo, grenades, flares, camo netting, medical supplies, etcetera. But almost as if the ship was completely aware of his situation and knew that he was trying to get off the ship with his life intact, it decided things had to screw up. One of the main fusion drives on the port side of the ship blew out, pluming with fire, smoke and plasma. He had to sprint back to the bridge to correct the ships angle, narrowly avoiding going into a nosedive that would have caused the ship to be destroyed upon impact. To ensure that it didn't happen again he shut off the main fusion drives, letting gravity alone handle it with some minor assistance from the ships systems.
But after that he quickly ran off, making his way to the hangar via a maintenance shaft that he jumped down. Because of the sudden change that had occurred the ship had gone closer to the planet earlier than he'd wanted it to. He slammed his fist onto a button and the hangar doors of the ship opened up, fire being visible outside of it as the ship began entering atmosphere. Aurdel sprinted to the Pelican he had set up, quickly switching on the engines and shutting the rear door behind him. He throttled up the engines, scraping the landing gear as he angled the transport towards the opening and flew out. The rear engines clipped the side of the ship as it dropped out, causing it to spin out of control and into a freefall. He fought with the controls to bring the Pelican back into a proper angle, alarms sounding regarding immense g-force and the engines catching fire. After nearly five minutes he managed to get them under control, breathing a sigh of relief. But like a last ditch effort to screw him over, the rear engines exploded. It completely threw him off course. All he could do now was use the chemical boosters to try and crash this thing without dying in the process.
"It's going to be alright Kota…" Midoriya stood firm in front of the young boy, staring down the tall, leering Villain. He could feel One For All surging throughout his body as he became resolute in what he had to do. "I'm going to save you!" Midoriya stood his ground and waited for the Villain to act.
But the Villain just scoffed, "You're going to save him? Ha! You kids really do act like you're budding Heroes and what not, you spout off about crap like justice whenever you show up and how you won't back down in the face of a Villain. It's real cliche if you ask me." Twinges of flesh seemed to extend out from under the cloak the man wore, traveling the length of his arm before seemingly combing with it through the skin. Was this his quirk…? "But your name is Midoriya right, you wouldn't believe how high you are on our kill list!" The man threw off his cloak, leaving his upper body only covered by a tank top. Those same growths covered his other arm and seemed to amplify it in size. If he had to guess what they were, they were muscle fibers and seemed to be perfectly in the Villains control. "I'm going to enjoy tormenting you, show me some blood!" Midoriya prepared himself as the Villain came charging at him, he was going to have to gauge this guy's strength if he was going to beat him. One For All Full Cowling!
Midoriya jumped to the side using One For All, the Villain blew past him and planted his fist straight into the stone wall behind him. The stone cracked. When he removed his fist, there was a hole with the same shape of his fist in it. "You're fast kid, that's good. It'll make it all the better to play with you." The muscle fibers on his arms visibly increased as he spoke, "By the way, would you happen to know who Katsuki Bakugo is? I've got a job to do here, and it involves him. So if you know where he is you might as well tell me before I get to killing you." Kacchan? What did these Villains want with Kacchan?! Midoriya dodged again as the Villain came at him, the man left another imprint in the wall. "I'll take that as no then, okay? I don't really much care about all this cloak and dagger stuff really anyway, it's too boring for my taste. I just want a good fight!" This time he wasn't able to dodge the man's attack. The Villain launched forward and kicked him in the gut, slamming him back into the stone wall. This guy was fast, not just strong. From what he had seen from the man so far, it was the result of the man's quirks increasing the muscle fibers on his legs. He looked back, Kota was still was frozen in place, most likely out of fear and some other emotion. But he couldn't let that bother him. No matter what, he had to save Kota! "Didn't you say you were going to save him?! Doesn't look like you're doing a very good job at it! What do you say kid?" With a deriding look the man turned to Kota, who was still frozen where he stood with tears in his eyes.
"You're not going to lay a hand on him!" Midoriya shouted as he launched up from where he stood, One For All…! He feigned a direct blow towards the man, resulting in him leaving a hole in the ground where Midoriya would have been. In actuality he leaped off to the side and used the wall like a backboard, propelling himself off of it and launching towards the Villain. "Detroit Smash!" Midoriya slammed his foot into the Villain's chest, not aiming for his head as it could easily cause whiplash and either paralyze or kill the man.
"You're going to save him with weak power like that?" His eyes widened as the Villain spoke unfazed, with a smirk on his face. "It'll take a lot more than that to stop me." He grabbed him by the leg, Midoriya couldn't break free and was thrown back into the stone wall. The Villain followed up with a strong punch, further pushing him into it and causing severe pain to his back. He couldn't win this fight by holding back, not if he wanted to save Kota! "Come on kid, where's that drive?!"
"Shut up!" He came out swinging from where he was against the wall. One For All, one hundred percent! He raised his right fist and drove it into the Villain's abdomen, sending him flying back from where he was holding Midoriya. The muscle fibers produced by the man's quirk broke apart from his arms and legs due to the sheer force of the attack, splintering and retracting back into his body. Midoriya was out of breath, it really didn't help that right before the Villain attack they had been doing exhaustive and intense physical training. It wasn't something that he could change now though. His focus had to be on getting Kota back to the camp safely and informing of the Villain he defeated.
Standing back up a little shakily, he offered a hand to Kota who still appeared to be frozen with fear. "Let's get back to camp, it's not too far from… here…" Midoriya soon realized why Kota was staring past him and turned around. No way…
"That was a strong one, but you sure did telegraph it. Not bad Midoriya, I have to give you props for that." How could the man still stand? He'd used one hundred percent! This was the same power that All Might had! "You're not playing, so I won't either. I'm putting in my serious eye." The Villain took out the false eye from the side of his face that was scarred, replacing it with a more intimidating one. What was he supposed to do? It was practically certain that if he tried to run away with Kota and find they would both be run down. And if he told Kota to run away and warn , the Villain would simply overpower him in order to kill Kota and then subsequently kill him.
"Why does the League want Kacchan?! What do you plan to do with him?!"
"As if I'd tell you," the Villain scoffed, "So ready or not, here I come." The muscle fibers dramatically increased on the man's arms and legs. Midoriya picked up Kota with his unbroken arm, leaping away from the attack. This one was much faster and much stronger, leaving what was practically a miniature crater where he impacted on the ground. He was telling the truth, he had been just playing with him.. Making a game out of killing them...
A hail of rocks filled the air, threatening to shred him and Kota. Rather than see it as an obstacle, he would use it to his advantage.. "Delaware Smash!" He curled back one of his fingers, then let it lose. The massive current of air blew the projectiles back towards the Villain, it was enough to give him a few seconds to think. The man bulked up his muscles again, using them to slap away the rock and send them flying off into the forest where they split many trees in half.
"Now that's not playing fair kid! I thought we were going to have a brawl!" The Villain launched himself up from the ground and into the air where Midoriya was, swinging his now massive arms. The only way he could describe it was like he was a living, breathing and talking mass of pure muscle, one with a sadistic personality. He curled back another finger, using another Delaware Smash to hit the man specifically this time. But rather than blow him back a distance like he'd wanted, it'd only sent him back a short distance while blowing through a chunk of the bulked up muscles. Midoriya landed back on the ground, putting Kota down. There was no way to outmaneuver him now, nor outrun or out range him. The man was bigger, faster and stronger than he was. All Midoriya could do was delay him. That's what I like kid, put you money where your mouth is!"
"Kota, stand back. But not too far. Seven feet should do, I don't want him chasing after you." Midoriya gripped his fist, "I'll keep him back. When he gets me, I want to run as quickly and as close to the camp as you can get. Don't look back."
"What do you mean when he gets you?!" Kota exclaimed, panicked. "Your punch didn't do anything to him! Our best chance is to run!"
Midoriya remembered where he'd come from, all that he'd worked towards. 'A Hero can always break out of a tough spot, no matter the Villain!' That's right, "Because that's what a Hero does. They don't stop until people are saved and the Villain is defeated, even if it means sacrificing themselves!"
"Man kid, you really are great!" There was a sadistic smile on his face as he came at him.
"One hundred percent Detroit Smash!" Using all the strength that he could muster he brought up his broken arm, putting one hundred percent One For All into his blow. It smashed against the wall of muscle in front of him, damaging both it and himself in the process.
"That's good kid, but it's not nearly as strong as before!" Midoriya grit his teeth as energy coursed through his veins, spiking in the air around him. His resolve grew and he kept pushing against him.
"Shut up!" He shouted to the man's face.
"SHOW ME YOUR BLOOD KID!" The man shouted back at him, pushing him further and further back. He could feel his feet sinking into the ground as it cracked beneath him, he was on the verge of letting go. That was when something completely unexpected happened. The man pummeling him into the ground released the force against him. "Who the hell are you?! Get off of me!" The Villain suddenly spun away, swinging his arms towards where his head would be. Midoriya used the chance to step back and go over towards Kota, standing in front of him in case what was happening would stop. The Villain was suddenly thrown hard into the ground. Another man in what looked like a green suit of armor stood above him, a boot planted on the Villain's chest. The man stomped hard and repeatedly, punching through the layers of muscle fiber and causing them to retract. "I SAID GET OFF OF ME!" The Villain shouted and grabbed the leg of the man, trying to throw him to the side. But in mid air the seemed to fire off rocket boosters, adjusting his position in the air. He shot back towards the Villain who was trying to stand up, grabbing him by the shoulders. In an impressive show of strength he lifted the Villain into the air and spun him around, before driving him headfirst into the ground. With a clenched fist the man punched the Villain hard, with enough strength that they seemed to lose consciousness. The muscle quirk dissipated, leaving only the Villain who'd been controlling it laying on the ground.
Midoriya became defensive as the man who'd just taken down the Villain turned to him, Midoriya held his unbroken arm in front of Kota. "Who are you? Why did you help us? Are you with the League of Villains?"
"Calm down kid, I'm not going to hurt you. As for your questions I can't exactly tell you who I am, but I will tell you that I saw a much larger man attacking two kids so I decided to step in. And I don't know who the League of Villains is, so obviously I'm not a part of them." Midoriya couldn't see the man's face, it was obscured by his helmet. That fact alone made it hard for him to believe what he was saying and decide if he was truly being genuine.
"I don't really know if I can trust you, even if you did help us against that Villain…"
"Look, if it'll help you I'll even drop my weapons just to show you that I have no intention to hurt you or him." Weapons? He hadn't seen any weapons. The man suddenly pulled out several handguns, dropping them onto the floor. He also unslung a semi automatic rifle, along with several grenades and a knife from a pouch. Why was this guy carrying so much firepower?! Midoriya had to think this through logically. The Villain had told him that the League of Villains had a kill list, and that Midoriya was one of the people on that list. If this guy was with the League it wouldn't make sense for him to stop him from being killed, nor would it make sense to put down his weapons just to get his trust. With all that in fact, Midoriya would just have to go with the assumption that this man was trustworthy.
"Okay, alright. Our camp is under attack by a group known as the League of Villains. For some reason, they're trying to kidnap one of the students and kill at least me. I don't know why. But everyone is scattered and I need to get Kota back to camp, so he'll be safe. Can you help us?"
"Villains? Are there Heroes too?"
"There are Heroes as well. Two teachers and four others that the school brought in. I-"
"So that's what's different here, you people have superpowers…"
"Huh? What are you talking about? Do you mean quirks?"
"I don't know what you mean by quirks, but sure. It's something I can talk about later anyways. Right now if the goal is to get you all to safety, then that is exactly what we're going to do.."
"Okay!" The man picked back up his weapons as Midoriya led the way, running back to camp with Kota on his back.
...Heroes and Spartans...
Aurdel ran alongside the boy, slowing his pace in order to make sure that he'd didn't outrun him and somehow get lost. He didn't need to take off his helmet to realize that something was burning and that, as a result, there was a large amount of smoke, meaning that his motion tracker wouldn't be as effective as soon as he got into it. At one point they had to even charge through a relatively small cloud of the smoke, it being almost pitch black. That was when he ran into one of the first Heroes he'd see in this world. " !" The boy he was following called out to an adult man that they ran into. He was wearing black clothes, along with what appeared to be long white clothes surrounding his neck and head like a scarf.
"Midoriya, get back!" The man shouted, throwing out the cloth and in his direction. Aurdel's reaction speed was quick enough to grab the cloth and cut it short.
"Wait! He's not a Villain! He helped me defeat one of the Villains!" The boy quickly explained, and the man suddenly stopped.
"He did what?" The man looked at him with suspicion."Where did you come from? No signals have been able to get out about the Villain attack."
"I didn't get any signals, I just ended up here"
"Just ended up here…? How could you...?"
" , I need you to take care of Kota. I need to go find Mandalay and tell her something, I found out why the Villains are here." Midoriya seemed anxious to go and do as he said, but was stopped by his teacher.
"In that case, I need you to go tell her something too." After relaying the message the four of them split up. Aizawa ran with Kota back to the camp with Kota on his, Aurdel ran with Midoriya to search for Mandalay. As they ran Aurdel opened the trauma kit hardcase on his right leg,
"I just wanna ask, who is this Mandalay?" He pulled out a syringe, filling it with a painkiller. Aurdel figures that given the condition of his arms, he'd probably broken one and was working through adrenaline alone and could very well collapse at any time. He also prepared a salve of medigel, slathering it onto a cloth so it would be easier to apply.
"She's one of the Pussycats, the Heroes that are fighting off the Villains right now, she has a quirk that lets her telepathically communicate with people."
"Useful. How many Heroes are with her?"
"Tiger and Pixiebob are fighting alongside her right now, but there's another Hero named Ragdoll too."
"Then where is she?" He motioned for Midoriya to come closer, and he did. "Here, this will stave off the pain for a little and at least do some basic healing for your arm." He willingly took the injection and salve, the latter of which being quick to start working.
"She's at the midpoint of the test of courage we were doing, I'm not sure if she encountered any Villains."
"More likely than not she has," Aurdel put away the medical gear. Mere moments later they found their Heroes, two of them fighting what he could only assume to be Villains. The Heroes were dressed in what appeared to be cat outfits, with paws and everything. The Villains were more diversely dressed, with someone carrying a giant magnet and what appeared to be a walking and talking lizard. Honestly, he'd seen worse.
"Mandalay, I have a message from !" The woman in red stopped a moment to listen, but refocused back into the fight against the lizard. "He's telling Class A and B to fight back, he will deal with the repercussions!"
The woman looked unsure, then seemed to accept the message. A voice sounded in his head and presumably everyone else's in the area. "Everyone! Your teacher Eraserhead has given you permission to use your quirks and fight back against the Villains!" In the meantime as the message was being sent out, he and Midoriya joined in on the fight. Aurdel came crashing against the person wielding the large magnet, coming to face to face with them and looking them dead in the eyes. As they grappled over the large metal item, he gave a hard headbutt with his helmet and caused them to stumble back in shock. The glasses on their face shattered and cuts above the eyes formed from the prongs on his helmet. It gave him the chance to seize the magnet and use it to knock them down, slamming them to the ground. Midoriya meanwhile went to help Mandalay against the lizard, crashing into the mass of weapons it used as a sword. It was made up of various blades, knives and various other sharp metal objects, but when the boy crashed into it with his boots it snapped like twigs. Granted his legs were now covered in cuts, but he'd disarmed the Villain. Afterwards he and Mandalay simultaneously attacked him from multiple directions. With repeated strikes from both of them it became evident that the Villain was at a disadvantage and quickly went down. "I don't know who your friend is Midoriya, but he sure came at a great time to help."
"There's one other message we have to relay!" Midoriya said, trying to get it out of mouth as quickly as he could. "The Villains are after Kacchan!" Both the Villains and Heroes seemed stunned from revelation, but the message went out.
"Shigaraki was right, this kid has to die!" The one who'd had the giant magnet said, reaching out in vain to grab at Midoriya.
"You're not killing anyone, Villain," the Hero named Tiger proudly said, keeping a foot on his chest. Midoriya soon ran off in another direction, not waiting for the Heroes to say anything. Aurdel had no choice except to follow him.
"You really should get back to camp, your injuries are rather severe. I can go and look for your friend myself while you get medically attended to."
"No way, if thought you're a Villain then so will Kacchan, and he won't listen to you or accept help regardless."
"Fair enough then," they kept running, before he stopped. There was a loud rolling noise coming from on the trail ahead of him.
"What's that-?" Midoriya didn't have enough time to finish his sentence, Aurdel pulled him away. Where they were just standing a large black mass slammed into the ground, leaving a hole.. "Tokoyami!" Upon taking a closer look at the mass, he found that at the top of it a boy with a bird shaped head was engulfed by it. He was straining himself, probably trying to control it. Aurdel through Midoriya into the brush and quickly followed him as it attacked once again.
"Midoriya? Who is this you're with?" Aurdel turned his head, probably another student. This one looked relatively human aside from extra appendages growing from his arms.
"Shoji, what happened to Tokoyami?""
"We were hiding when we got attacked by a Villain, one with blades coming from his mouth that could change direction and morphs in weird ways. I pushed Tokoyami out of the way of the attack, but the Villain got one of my arms." The student showed the bloody stump, "It's fine, it'll regrow. I told Tokoyami that too but it still was too much for him and Dark Shadow went on a rampage. It's attacking anything it hears or sees. He's trying to control it, but so far it hasn't worked."
"Does it have a weakness?" Aurdel asked, mulling over what he had with him.
"A weakness? It gets timid when faced with light, but I don't think that's a good idea right now." Midoriya said, gears clearly turning in his head. "Hey, uh… What should I call you?"
"Aurdel."
"Okay… Aurdel. If we bring Tokoyami towards Kacchan and Todoroki, they will be able to use their flames to calm down Dark Shadow."
"What about the Villain?" Shoji asked.
"We'll try to make sure that we encounter him before we get to them, that way Dark Shadow can take him down." This kid… He was way too good for a kid his age, the kind of kid that ONI would have loved to scoop up for an agent or one of their programs.
"You'll run the risk of him catching up to us while we try to find your friend, if we get caught and he's as powerful as it seems it'd have to turn to drastic measures. I'll take down the Villain when we encounter it, you just grab your friends and head back to camp while I deal with them." Aurdel pulled out a cylindrical object from a hardcase.
"What are you doing?!" Midoriya stammered o it, trying to keep quiet. Aurdel struck the cylinder and leaped out of the bush, grabbing attention of 'Dark Shadow.' It's first instinct was to try and attack him, but when it noticed the light coming from the flare in his hand it timidly began toback away. He knew for sure now that it would work, and activated the lights on the side of his helmet. Powerful beams covered the area and Dark Shadow, causing it to shrink back to what was probably a normal size and it to whimper. Once he was sure that it was safe he approached and held a hand out to the boy who'd been enveloped by it, he accepted the help up. "Thank you… For getting Dark Shadow under control. I tried my best but wasn't able to."
"Don't thank me yet, where did the Villain that attacked you go?" Aurdel turned down the lights so it wouldn't blind the student.
"There" Tokoyami pointed down the path, "Bakugo and Todoroki and down that way, I know now why given the message we received." He looked at the tops of the trees, columns of ice were visible from this far away. "We should find them quickly, before the Villains do."
"That's if they haven't already. Midoriya, is there anyone else in the forest?" Aurdel asked.
"Uraraka and As- Tsuyu came in after them, so they're most likely still in the woods on the trail. Though, I don't think they were in long enough to encounter Ragdoll. But if we can find Ragdoll then we can make sure that we can find everybody." Aurdel didn't know what would let her do that, but if the kid said it then he would have to believe it for now.
"Alright. Midoriya, you're coming with me to go get your friends away from that Villain. Shoji, Tokoyami, you're going to find those other students. Take this," he handed two flares to Shoji. "Remove the cap and strike hard twice away from yourself, you should know what to do from there." The boy nodded and the pair then ran off in the one direction, while Aurdel and Midoriya blazed down the other. Judging by the size and amount of ice increasing, they were in fact getting closer. Hanging up high in the air was a man completely enveloped in a straight jacket aside from his mouth, of which had blades hitting out and twisting at various points and angles. They were long, and had to be strong if they alone were holding the man up in the air.
The Villain looked to have a hard time speaking given the blades, but there was enough noise to make out. "Ah, more flesh to caress. So soft, so nice." Midoriya launched into the air, using the heel of his shoe to crash through the blades that were coming his way. They splintered like wood. Aurdel followed him into the air, using his Magnum to fire off two shots in the direction of the Villain. In order to avoid the gunfire the man had to lower his position retracting his blades to do so. And because Aurdel's equipment was tough, it gave him the chance he needed. With one hand holding his knife, the other took hold of one of the retracting blades and applied immense force. For the Villain it caused him to be dragged closer to the ground, for Aurdel it would launch him. He struck through the metal blades that came into his path, then used his fist to shatter the man's jaw. The teeth splintered apart as they retracted, cutting up his mouth and likely causing severe internal bleeding. He wouldn't die though, probably. Aurdel landed feet on the ground, making sure that the Villain was out cold when he landed just the same.
"Midoriya, who is this guy?" Todoroki asked, cautiously looking at Aurdel with flames on one side of his body and ice on the other.
"He's not a Villain Todoroki! He's been helping us around the camp to make sure everyone gets back safely." The boy lowered his guard after that, ceasing the ice and flames. Bakugo didn't seem to be any less angry with any of them though.
"We didn't need your damn help, I had it all under control! I bet you're the one that made everyone try to protect me in the first place anyways Deku!" The blonde haired boy jerked a thumb back towards himself, "I can protect myself, no matter what a weakling like you thinks!"
"It's good to see your spirits haven't been dampened Kacchan," Midoriya said, a little deflated. "We need to get back to the others. Shoji and Tokoyami are looking for Tsuyu and Uraraka, then we're going to look for Ragdoll."
"We passed her on our way through the forest," Todoroki commented, "But that was a while ago, and I'm sure that she would have come out by now to check on us."
"Then it's very likely that something or someone got to your teacher. But if she can find where all of the students are, then it would be a mistake not to-"
"Deku! There you are!" A girls voice shouted,
"Uraraka, Tsu, I'm glad you're both safe," the boy let out an exhale.
"A-ah! Don't get it wrong, it's not like I was looking for you specifically! I just knew that since Bakugo was the Villain target, that you'd be where the fight was!" She seemed way too quick to cover up her thoughts.
The second girl, one with much longer hair that was tied into a bow on her back, spoke, "We had run into a Villain when Shoji and Tokoyami found us, though I don't know what she was trying to do." She put a finger to her lip, then pointed to a wound on the other girls side, "For some reason she wanted our blood, and she took some of Uraraka's." Wanted their blood? This was all extremely strange. They wanted to kill some of the students, capture others and even take blood samples from others. Just what were they after? "But who is that?" Tsuyu pointed at Aurdel.
"He's a friend, he's been helping us."
"Here, let me clean the cut and cover it up. You don't want it to get infected." Uraraka was cautious at first but let him perform the first aid.
"Did either of you see Ragdoll?" Midoriya asked.
"No, we hadn't gotten to the halfway point when we were attacked so we never reached her." After cleaning the wound with a disinfectant he slathered it with medigel, then applied a medical cloth and wrapped it around the wound.
"In that case, there is no time like the present to go and find her."
"I think we have a bigger problem on our hands now!" Todoroki said, having been turned away from them as the conversation had gone on. Aurdel quickly turned, on the path there was standing a large green creature with an exposed brain and powers tools for arms. Next to him was a man in a yellow overcoat, a large top hat and with a mask on his face.
"Well what have we here? A band of students and someone who wasn't on the list." The man held a cane and tapped it on the ground, "I'll let you handle the legwork my friend," the moment the green creature began to move Aurdel unloaded the rest of his Magnum's magazine into it, putting several at center mass and the rest into its head. The creature reeled back from the attack, but soon back up straight. The bullets had made their mark, but didn't seem to do any lasting damage.
"I'm afraid your little peashooter won't do much to Nomu here," the man leaned on his cane, "After all, it can regenerate faster than you can hurt it." This man had just made two mistakes. First, he'd just assumed that Aurdel didn't have any fast way of putting out damage. Second, he'd insulted the M6D.
"I'll just try something else then," he tilted his head and pulled the MA5B off of his back, loading in a box drum shredder rounds. The shredder round was based off of a historically illegal round known as the hollow point. It wasn't so much deadly in its stopping power or penetration of targets, but rather the ability to cause lasting damage and cut down groups of soft targets. And on top of that? The MA5B had a God damn fast fire rate. Before the Nomu could react he squeezed the trigger, gutting the creature like a hot knife through butter. Blood and green flesh splattered everywhere as Aurdel worked his way up towards its head, making sure to completely obliterate its head as if it were a zombie. Very little of it was left when he was done, but the man who was with it hadn't chosen to do nothing. Instead, he seemed to practically disappear out of the view of his motion tracker. Aurdel rapidly scanned around, searching for him but to no avail.
"You're a bit of a nuisance," he heard those words suddenly from someone behind him, then had his vision go dark.
