Hello there Auther guy again! I hope you enjoyed the last chapter! This one is going to be rather gruesome due to well, Elsa. So if you get a bit squirmy around gore anf the such you have been warned! Still hope you can have a good time reading this :D

"What is it with you and running without a second thought Emilia? Come on just wait up for me we have plenty of time its still bright!"

Said a winded Subaru, they had been running for ten minutes by now and his legs felt like imploding. They finally stopped when they entered the slums. Subaru leaned over next to Emilia, hands on his knees as he breathed heavily completely out of breath. Emilia looked at Subaru with concern and a very small amount of guilt fiddling with her fingers.

"Are you okay Subaru? I'm sorry for making you run so much."

"Im, hang on, oh god I feel like throwing up. Alright okay, yeah I'm fine I just don't like running is all Emilia."

Said Subaru, Emilia didn't really believe him she still felt mild guilt for it. But nonetheless Subaru stood back up straight with a confident smile. Lifting up his hand with a thumbs up, but Emilia was just confused.

"Subaru why are you pointing at the sky?"

"Wait this world doesn't know what a thumbs up is?!"

"Thumbs up?"

"Uh, yeah it means "good" or "well done" it depends on the situation but it's a positive symbol."

Emilia felt just a smidge better, Subaru was truly an odd man. But their journey couldn't simply be put on a halt! So the two started walking around, looking at the buildings. They looked broken and ruined. Could you really even call this place home? There was always poor people but Subaru never expected it to be this bad.

"Emilia look over there, we should go ask that guy! Maybe he'll know where that orange haired girl went?"

Said Subaru as he walked over to the stranger, Emilia going after Subaru staying behind him. As they walked over to the stranger Subaru couldn't help but notice several people just standing around in alleyways or in In front of their houses just hanging about. The stranger looked at the two as they approached.

"Hello"

"Hello, we would like to ask you a question is that's fine with you."

"No problem bro, go ahead and ask."

"Thanks, have you seen an orange haired girl holding and insignia with a red ruby gem in the middle of it? Oh and she was also like super fast."

"Sounds like you're talking about Felt, she's probably at Rom's loot House by now."

The stranger gave them directions to Rom's loot house, the sky was still blue so they had lot's of time time to make it there. They smiled and waved goodbye to the stranger, or at least Subaru did. Emilia just kinda stayed behind him nervously, maybe it had to do with the whole "it's fine if you want to stay away from me since I'm a half elf" thing but who knows. He'll have to ask her that later.

After a good bit of walking they made it to Rom's loot house. The sky was beginning to turn orange now, but that didn't matter much they still had a lot of time. Subaru looked at Emilia with a small smile.

"Come on Emilia, I'm not going in there without you. You're the magic user after all! I just have my bare fists which wouldn't do much against any weapon sharper than a stick."

"I'm a spirit arts user to be specific Subaru. I'm not trying to sound mean but you really are clueless aren't you? Anyways come on Puck you heard Subaru."

Said Emilia as the two and one spirit got on top of the porch and Subaru knocked on the door. And also shouting "Heeellloooooo?". After about five seconds he heard an old man's voice on the other side.

"For a rat?"

"Errrrrr... What?"

"What would you use to kill a rat you dumbass?!"

"Rat poison...?"

"A whale?"

"I dunno what's with the trivia questions?"

The door just opened to a hulking behemoth of an old man. Subaru took a step back looking at the old man who looked angry. Subaru was going to say something before Emilia took a step In front of Subaru with a serious look.

"An orange haired girl named Felt stole something important to me, I would like to have it back. I do not wish to bring harm upon any of you people."

But before the old man could say anything Felt popped over and looked at the lady with a bit of shock.

"How did you find me? I thought I shook you off!"

Emilia held her hand out in front of felt, spreading out her palm. She still had a serious look on her face.

"I will say it again, I am not afraid to take action even though I don't wish to harm anyone."

"F-Fine I'm not dying over some stupid insignia but you'll have to deal with my client. Because I'm not gonna be the one to tell them."

"As you wish"

Subaru just kinda watched this whole ordeal play out, kinda like the old guy behind Felt. But all's well that ends well right? About ten minutes later they were all inside sitting at the table. The atmosphere around the four was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Puck and Emilia were staring down Felt, while Felt and old man Rom we're staring down Emilia and Puck. And Subaru just kinda awkwardly stared at the door. But then, someone knocked on the door and Felt slowly walked over and opened the door.

"I see, very well. It is unfortunate that I am unable to buy what I came for today but that is simply how life works."

Said the lady wearing rather promiscuous clothes. The way she talked, acted and looked at Subaru and the others just rubbed him the wrong way.

"But you see, my Boss gave me very specific orders.

Offer 10 holy coins If they refuse,

Offer 20 holy coins If they still refuse...

Kill them all and steal the insignia"

"SHIT"

Screamed Subaru as he grabbed Emilia by the shoulder and pulled her down with him onto the floor, Elsa's Knife swinging past them as they hit the hard floor. Subaru let out a small grunt when the did before gett up and pulling Emilia back up with him by the wrist once again, stepping back while doing so.

Rom grabbed his giant bat from under the counter and jumped over the counter, Felt doing the same as Subaru to avoid the attack from Elsa.

"Piss off you disgusting murderer! Get the hell away from my grand daughter you piece of shit!"

"She couldn't do her job right, she's just another worthless slum rat. It's better for her not to exist anymore wouldn't you think so too?"

She wasn't really asking, she's just being an asshole now. Rom swung to her side but she just jumped over it. Rom being a slow but heavy heater versus this lightning fast and heavy hitter wasn't gonna end well. They may have stolen something from Emilia but that doesn't men's they deserve to die!

"Emilia, cover me with your spirit magic whatever I'm gonna help!"

"Subaru no you shou-"

But it was already too late because Subaru had ran over to felt who was cowering in the corner watching this monster fighting her only family member.

"Felt, you need to run and get help. Otherwise we will die. Fast now!"

"You expect me to tuck my tail and run like a cowa-"

"Yes! tuck it tight and RUN!"

He said before noticing Elsa was staring him down while mid air as she had just dodged another of old man Rom's attacks, landing on his bat and taking out a knife and throwing it at Subaru. Why's she even after him in the first place he should be her last priority! But before the knife could hit Subaru it was shot down by a ice crystal. Subaru looked over at Emilia and Puck with a smile and a thumbs up.

"Well isn't this but a simple surprise? A fire magic spirit! I can't wait to see your glimmering guts!"

Said Elsa as old man Rom lifted his bat up and above his head, sending Elsa flying at a wall. Elsa of course having the soul of a cat landed on the wall and dropped to her feet before running at old man Rom, but again she was shot at by several ice crystals before Felt started running to the door and escaped through the door to find help.

Subaru watched as old man Rom and Elsa fought, Elsa hadn't even been hit once yet and old man Rom was loosing energy quickly, Puck and Emilia sent a barrage of ice crystal at her, and still non hit! What the hell is wrong with this lady?! Whatever, Subaru grabbed a sword from the wall and charged at the two, but before Subaru could even get a single hit in, Elsa had swung around another of old man Rom's attacks and had gotten behind him. Elsa stabbed her knife into the back of Rom's neck before getting an ice crystal to the face and being sent into a wall.

Old man Rom Fell to the ground, Subaru was panicking but the first thing he had to do was check if he was still alive. He ran over and held his hand by his wrist. Apparently this is how you check someone's pulse? Yeah it worked, thank god old man Rom is still alive. Is healing magic a thing in this world? Hopefully it is because otherwise old man Rom still wouldn't survive.

"Subaru!"

Huh? Subaru turned to his left to see Elsa charging at him. He rolled over old man Rom avoiding the attack, but his lower leg did get a cut. Subaru rolled over into a wall due to the pain holding his rapidly bleeding leg as he watched Puck and Emilia rain ice crystals at Elsa.

"Just give up and let me gut you! I'd love to continue but I need that insignia and I don't want my boss to get angry with me!"

"Yeah yeah we just need the insignia lady, it's ours not yours"

Said Puck as he shot ice crystals, none of them had hit yet. Elsa just kept being a little too far from them. but eventually her leg torso was shot into a wall, she got stuck onto the wall by ice.

"There we go, wasn't just shooting randomly you know"

Said Puck as Emilia held her hand in the direction of Elsa, as mana pulsed around her as a gigantic tube? Circular shape of ice shot at Elsa. Is she finally gonna die? It was a direct hit. Or at least that's what it looked like at first. Somehow Elsa had cut the ice off herself just in time and got out of the attack mostly unscathed. She was holding her stomach while on the ground.

"Aw man Emilia, I was really hoping that would hit! Oh well, you can handle the rest. but don't worry you can always call on me but I'm gonna rest for now."

"Alright puck"

Said Emilia as she watched Puck phase out of existence, Elsa had already started running back to Emilia to kill her. but she was tackled by Subaru, Subaru stabbing the sword he had from before deep through her stomach. But he was kicked off her, and when she got back up and pulled the sword out. She was somehow completely fine?! What the hell?!

Subaru was holding his stomach as he got back up and backed off from Elsa, who was dead set on making Subaru dead.

"Where the hell is Felt?! Don't tell me she just ran away, oh god what if she did?!"

Said Subaru worried before stepping to the side to avoid Elsa, Elsa just grabbing Subaru by the leg and knocking him onto the ground. Subaru tried to get up but he was stabbed in the leg, Subaru screamed like he had never screamed before. He dug his nails into the wooden floor as he tried to drag himself away from Elsa who just watched with a delightful smile. But Elsa in her blissful glee had almost forgotten about Emilia, she was shot in the back by another ice crystal. Subaru got up the knife still in his leg. He was in extreme pain but he needed to get out of the damned way or he'd be killed.

Elsa ran at Subaru, Subaru holding one of his hands up to shield his Face. And then pain. Thats all he felt in his right arm as he looked in terror falling down on the ground as he looked at his severed hand on the ground screaming even louder as he held his handless arm with his leftover hand. What the fuck is Emilia doing?! Why isn't she helping him?! God why was he the one chosen for this. he turned over on his stomach to find Emilia and see what she was doing, but between the tears and blood in his face the only thing he could see was a silver haired lady with a sharp knife stabbed right into their face.

No NO WHY?! HOW HOW WHY IS THIS EVEN HAPPING?! HOW DID SHE DIE?! SHE WAS ATTACKING HIM SHE WAS ATTACKING HIM NOT HER WHY?! WHY DID SHE KILL HER?!

Subaru watched as Elsa lopped off his other hand, Subaru continuing to scream in pain as he was covered in his own blood. He couldn't even see the sadistic look of pleasure on Elsa's face as he bled out. Elsa slicing him across the stomach, saying something too quiet for Subaru to hear over his own screams of pain. The only thought left in his head was simply,

Where was felt?

"HELP ME, HELP ME NO STOP STOP NO MY HANDS I CANT FEEL MY HANDS IT HURTS IT HURTS HELP"

Subaru fell to his knees, Breathing heavily as he stared at the stone ground his eyes wide and sweating heavily. He threw up, holding his stomach and looking at his hands as he screamed in terror and non existent pain. He continued screaming and threw up twice.

Subaru couldn't care less that he was in an alleyway, with Shortie, Lanky and Ugly looking at him in shock and horrer as he just rolled around like a real insane person.

"I came as soon as I heard! Is everything alright?!"

Said a heroic voice as a red haired stranger entered the alleyway, holding his still unseethed sword. Not like Subaru could care, he was in a realm of shock and pain. The red haired stranger looked at Subaru with horrer as Shortie, Lanky and Ugly ran. The red haried stranger got over next to him and crouched down grabbing his hands

"Sir, sir are you okay?"

Said the stranger frantically, the voice of someone else seemed to snap him out of it as Subaru looked at them, tears in his eyes as he had a look of pure terror on his face. Subaru sat up from the ground, looking at the fact that he had his hands still and the fact that he wasn't dead. He looked at the red haired stranger who had a face of guilt on his face.

"What.. What did those three do to you? Im so sorry I wasn't here to help you sooner."

"I'm... Alive?

Said Subaru in basically a whisper, looking at his hand which had extreme tremors. The red head looked in shock, what could those three have done to make him think he was dead?

"They didn't do anything to me. I'm fine, thank you for asking. Who, who are you? Im Subaru."

He said in a whisper still wide eyed as he watched Felt appear in the alleyway shouting "Out of the way! Out of the way!" again, where did she go to? Why didnt she get any help? It doesn't matter, he'll ask her later because right now she's staring at the stranger in sudden shock? That's odd, but they shook their head and continued jumping back onto the roof and running.

"That was odd. My name is Reinhard Van Astrea the sword saint."

Subaru got back up, his entire body was trembling as he supported himself with the wall behind him. And then he looked at the alleyway again and watched as Emilia entered, and the second Subaru saw her face he fell to his knees again and threw up in his hand. He couldn't get the image of her split in half head out of his own head.

Emilia was certainly going to take it the wrong way, but Subaru could explain later. If he could even muster up the courage to look at her face again that is. Emilia looked at Subaru holding back tears, people didn't like her, in fact most people either hated her or they were terrified of her. But this? This was by far her worst experience she had ever had, to make someone fall to their knees and throw up just because of her appearance, that was just cruel.

"The, that girl!" he pointed to the ceiling behind himself, wiping his dirty barf hand on the ground. "She, I know where she took your insignia! I, I want to help you! D-Don't, don't cry! Please!"

Said Subaru as he let his hand drop, he was breathing heavily. Reinhard was a sword saint huh? That must mean he's powerful. Oh god please let this happen. Subaru got back up on his two feet turning around and facing Reinhard, sorry Emilia but he still can't get that image out of his head.

Emilia meanwhile staring at Subaru, what just happened? Is he serious? But he threw up just at the sight of her face! Why is he being so nice and trying to help? This is so weird.

"He... Doesn't have any malice in him maybe you should take his offer?"

Said Puck looking at Subaru before phasing out of existence again.

"Reinhard, I know it's too much to ask for but please please help me with this. I can't do it by myself and Innocent lives will be wasted because of it. At the slums, go to old man Rom's loot House when the sky goes orange. Please!"

Said Subaru, bowing down to Reinhard and practically begging him to help him.

"Of course, today may be my off duty day but I can't risk the lives of others for my laziness. I'll be there Subaru, no need to beg."

"Thank you Reinhard. Thank you so much."

Subaru couldn't turn around, but he slowly stepped back until he was about a foot ahead of Emilia.

"I'm sorry that I barfed when I saw your face, I can't explain why or how I could ever barf at such a beautiful and cute face. I hope you can forgive me, but we need to get going. Come on!"

Said Subaru as he started walking in the direction of where he remembered he went with Emilia in his last life... Oh yeah, he died. So maybe this is like a game, a horrible terrifying and painful torture game.

He turned around to see if Emilia was following, luckily she was he was surprised she would still follow him after what he di- he stopped and held his mouth throwing up in his mouth but forcing it back down. He was not going to throw up In front of Emilia again.

They eventually made it back to the bridge from before Subaru stopped and sat back up on the railing of the bridge, sighing and looking at the ground. If he looked up he would see the super cute face of Emilia and remember.. "that"

"Subaru that is your name right?"

"Yes Emi- my name's Subaru yeah, did you hear it from Reinhard?"

"Mhm. Subaru, why do you want to help me? It's apparent that your mind isn't happy with you helping a half el-"

"No! That is not it! I don't care if you're a half elf you understand that? Just because you're a half elf doesn't mean you should be hated for it!"

Subaru felt something soft bump into him, it was Puck punching him like last time.

"Wha- What was that for?"

"I didn't punch you out of anger Subaru, in fact I did it for the opposite reason!"

Subaru looked up, Emilia must be crouching down again right? That means he can look at the bundle of joy again. But no, in fact, She was directly in front of him. Why the hell was she so close to his face?! Subaru's eyes went wide and he held both his stomach and his mouth again, twitching forwards as he threw up into the water. He made sure to turn to the water before doing it. All he could see when he looked at her face was what that murderer did to her.

"S-Subaru! I'm sorry I wasn't expecting you to look at me!"

Said Emilia worried as she watched Subaru turn the rest of his body around and basically empty what little was left in his stomach into the water.

"It's fine, you can't control it and neither can I. Say, what is your name?"

"My name? It's Emilia, and thank you for wanting to help me Subaru."

Said Emilia fiddling with her fingers again. Subaru stood back up straight and held his stomach, opening his bag and taking a bag of chips and opening it. He ate several fistfuls of chips, all the throwing up made him feel like he hadn't eaten for a day. He took some chips and held them behind himself.

"Take some Emilia, they taste really good. But don't eat all of them at the same time."

Said Subaru as Emilia grabbed the chips from his hands. Subaru's face going red from the contact. Emilia ate the chips, which tasted amazing to her as well. Subaru looked at the sky, the sky was turning orange. It's almost time..

Subaru and Emilia were siting on top of the roof of an old rotting building, Emilia was munching happily on some potato chips as the two sat next to eachother as they waited to see reinhard. They saw Reinhard in the far distance and Subaru waved to him. Reinhard surprisingly noticed from all the way over there. In about three minutes Reinhard was beneath the building the two were sitting on.

"Hey Reinhard! Come on up here we dont have much time! I'll tell you what to do!"

"Hi reinhard!" Said Emilia with a small wave as she continued mucnhing on potato chips.

Reinhard made it up to the ceiling and sat next to Subaru, looking at the loot house. What was the problem? Nothing really seemed amiss here.

"In a couple minutes, someone named Elsa Granhiert is going to enter that building. She's going to offer 20 holy coins for Emilia's insignia. After she gets her hands on the insignia she's going to kill both Rom and Felt. Once you see her, I need you to do whatever and arrest her or kill her. I was expecting you to get more help, are you sure you can handle this Reinhard?"

"I am the sword Saint Subaru, I can hanlde fighting the bowel huntress."

"bowel huntress?"

"That's what she's known as, because of her unique way of killing her victims."

"of co-"

Subaru was cut off by the presence of something horrifying right behind him.

"You are truly loved by the witch"

"SHIT"

Shouted Subaru again as he was kicked off the ceiling of the building, landing face first into the ground. What did she mean by loved by the witch? How did she know they were there? All Subaru knew was that he wasn't gonne stay conscious after hitting the ground.

"Subaru!"

said Emilia scared as she held her hand out at him, Reinhard standing up and looking at Elsa on the ground next to Subaru. Reinhard jumped down, holding a sword that he borrowed from another knight. He knew he wouldnt be able to seethe his sword for whatever Subaru needed him for.

The mana around the area was sucked into to the sword that was not compatible with Reinhard's power, it would shatter the second the attack was over.

"Elsa Granhiert, you will atone for your sins."

Said reinhard as a blue blinding light emitted from the unworthy sword, and with a single strike he sent elsa flying, collapsing Rom's loot House which was in her direction. Elsa hit a wall, said wall promptly gave in and fell onto Elsa. Reinhard's sword that he borrowed shattered a second after the attack. He sighed, guess he'll have to pay his fellow knight back.

Emilia gently lowered herself down and ran over to Subaru, holding his head to make sure he didnt have any major injuries.

"Tell me lady Emilia, what is your relationship with the boy?"

"We are acquaintances, I met him today in that alleyway with you. I do not know why he wants to help me but I am happy that he did, I will be taking him to the mansion with me."

"Emilia!"

Shouted Reinhard as he kicked upwards, hitting Elsa in the stomach who had somehow survived the attack and went to attack him. Elsa landed on the ceiling where the three had waited.

"Mark my words Emilia, I will return."

An angry Felt holding an insignia ran outside of the loot house slong with old man Rombehind her.

"What the hells the big idea destroying my granddad's loot houde like that?!"

"My insignia, can I have it back? Your client isnt coming to take it."

"Huh? It's you again?! Ugh, fine. But if you ever ruin another one of my deals I'll kill you!"

Said Felt as she handed the glowing insignia back to Emilia. Rainhard looked at Felt with shock as he grabbed her by the wrist.

"I may be able to overlook your crimes, but the crime that is unfolding in front of me cannot be ignored."

"Hey whats the big idea?! I gave the inisgnia back didn't I?!"

Said an angry Felt as Reinhard knocked her clean out with some divine protection I assume. He picked her up and looked at Emilia.

"I am sorry emilia but i must go, i wish you the best of luck. And Rom, you will be getting a notice very soon on the status of your granddaughter. Until then, I bid you farewell."

And ao there goes chapter 1! officially over! I put like four hours of effort into thos one and ankther hour of effort spell checking it so I hope you had fun reading it! I really had a lot of fun writing this one! 5k words, that's a whole fricking lot!
