and Apollon thank you? For your several very confusing reviews. I don't really understand what you mean by Emilia's death being too cruel. She got a knife sliced through her head and she died in an instant. Compared to having your stomach slit open and slowly dying while bleeding out and in extreme pain I'd say that Emilia got it off easy. With your concern of the story only needing to touch on the subject of the memories, I mean that's what happened. Subaru just gagged a little and the second time he was just happy that nothing happened. I don't really understand what you meant by literally everything else in the subject of Elsa memories so I can't do anything about that. Also don't worry I will be basing this story more off the framework but I'd like you to consider the fact that this is literally Re:Zero but different. It quite literally in the title. And I do show the thoughts of characters on occasion, it's not a major thing but it's there. Nonetheless, thank you for your review and your criticism.

It was morning once again, light was entering the room through the windows. Subaru was under a blanket as he slowly opened his eyes and closed them again, before opening them again and jumping out of bed with an energetic look. He walked over to wardrobe and took out his butler uniform, placing it on his bed before beginning to undress. It was the fourth day and Subaru had worked his ass off the entire time. He was trying his best to get rid of those chilling dead eyes of Rem. But it was harder than he had thought. Even when he had made her smile at least twelve times she still sometimes gave him dead cold glances.

It was almost as if she had two personalities. One that hated him with a burning passion for some unknown reason. And one that was a nice and caring person. It was sad almost, no matter what Subaru did he couldn't win over the cold heart of the blue haired maid. Done with taking off the rest of his clothes Subaru grabbed his work pants before there was a knock at the door.

"H-hang on!"

Putting on his work pants quickly he got one arm in before he heard the door opening, with dread he turned around getting the other arm in before buttoning up his suit and finally turning around to see who the hell was knocking on his door. Infront of him stood a silver haired half elf in a pink casual outfit. Subaru smiled, before realizing the fact that this girl had just knocked on his door, ignore his request to wait and entered his room. what if he was still naked?!

"Good morning Subar-"

"Emilia! What are you doing in my room?! I was changing!"

"Oh! S-sorry! I didn't know and I didn't hear because of the thick door, the walls here are very thick! I apologize deeply! I will now leave the room and let you continue...U-undressing.."

Her eyes were closed the entire time while she was apologizing profusely. She was looking down her face a deep red as she thought of the idea of he was still undressing while she entered the room. Ram had the sudden urge to puke for some odd reason, did she have food poisoning? Next to Emilia Subaru patted her shoulder, he had walked over to her while she had her eyes closed. He smiled as he spoke.

"No no, it's fine Emilia. Luckily I got dressed before you barged into my room. You can open your eyes now."

"Oh! A-alright! Good morning Subaru."

"Thanks, good morning to you as well. Is there a reason why you're here? Or did you just want to say good morning?"

"Well actually I am here to tell you something but that doesn't mean I don't want to just come by to say good morning! Roswaal is leaving on a business trip."

"Ah, well thank you Emilia. And it's fine if you don't have time to say good morning to me. I understand that you're going to be queen so you'll have to study and work hard."

"Well it's not for certain that I'll be queen but I thank you for your confidence."

"Well I have to go wash the baths now. I'll be done in about two hours. If you have time I can spend my break with you outside. I'm sure it'll be fun."

"Alright Subaru, goodbye!"

After leaving the room Subaru and Emilia both waved each other goodbye. Subaru closed the door to his room and headed over to the baths. As he made it to the bathroom Subaru rolled up his sleeves and grabbed a thing of soap and covered the floors in soap, before grabbing a broom and soaking it in water. He then began to scrub the floors and walls with demonic inspiration! This place stank to high hell so the faster he got done cleaning it the faster he could get out.

He was done with cleaning the floors and the walls. Grabbing a bucket Subaru filled the giant bath with about two buckets of water. It wasn't reply filling it but Subaru didn't need anymore water. Lowering himself into the bath he began cleaning the bath. And so finally after about an hour and a half Subaru was done cleaning the bath. He placed the broom and bucket back where he got them from and walked outside. Looking around Subaru didn't see Emilia. That's unfortunate, but it's to be expected she had to study on how to rule an entire kingdom.

Subaru simply sat down on the green grass soaking in the light from the sun. Finally he was able to have some nice relaxing peace. Subaru got back up on his feet, dusting off his clothes before beginning to do some radio calisthenics. Although the peace was good Subaru wanted to move his body without actually going anywhere.

"Victory!"

He shouted his arms outstretched towards the sky. Beatrice was watching him from her room, a small frown on her face as she watched a blue haired maid holding a wooden basket leave the mansion. Subaru sat back down on the grass again and sighed relieved. That was rather fun maybe it would've been more enjoyable to do with someone else. Hearing footsteps approaching him Subaru turned his heard towards the sound and saw Rem holding a wooden basket following the road towards the village.

"Where are you going Rem?"

"Rem is going to the village to get fruits and vegetables."

"Oh, so you're going to he village again." said Subaru before standing up and walking over to Rem "Mind if I come with you?"

"Yes."

"Oh come on! I'll help you buy the groceries!"

"Groceries?"

"Nothing, it's a word from my homeland it's unimportant. Just means things that are sold by vendors or from a shop. Still I'm coming, I've still got an hour or two left of my break."

"As you wish Subaru. Rem wishes that you do not slow Rem down."

"Hey don't think so badly of me! I'm a great butler. Anyways what are we buying?"

"Buy appas, Rem will buy everything else."

"What? Just appas?"

"Yes, you are utterly clueless. You don't know what any other fruits or vegetables look like or the names of them. Not like you can read in the first place."

"Wow, not only was that heartbreakingly honest but it was also super cold. Oh well, I'll just buy the appas. Can you give me the money? Oh and how many appas will we need?"

"Rem and Nee-sama will need twenty appas. Rem will give you the money once we arrive."

"Alright sounds nice. So how has your day been Rem?"

"Rem's day was better before she was forced to walk with you."

"Wow where did that come from? You're really mean Rem you know that?"

"Rem is not mean, Rem is only honest."

"That's the same thing!"

The two workers of the Mathers mansion bickered and gave each other petty insults as they made their way to the village. by the time they made it to the village Subaru's ego had been dug six feet under by the blue shovel known as Rem. The town was surprisingly full with people. Subaru grabbed the money and waved to Rem as she left to go buy whatever she needed. Walking around the town Subaru found a stand filled with appas. Subaru walked over and placed the money on the counter of the stall.

"I'd like to buy twenty appas."

The salesmen smiled and grabbed twenty appas. Subaru took out the plastic bag that he always kept on him. It's no extra storage like in games but he could still fit a good amount of things in it so it was a good idea to keep it on him. He pushed the appas off the counter and into the plastic bag.

"Thanks for the appas sir."

"No problem stranger, what's that weird thing you're holding?"

"Oh it's a plastic bag."

"Plastic?"

"You'll find out in a couple thousand years. Or well, the children of your children of your children of your children of your children times twenty will find out."

"Wha- What?"

Subaru left before he created a time paradox on his way to find out where the maid left off to he was interrupted by a group of kids who had been staring and pointing at him the entire time he was here. Even in the first time he came here they were trying to annoy him. He pretty sure one of them threw a rock at him.

"Hey mister! Why are your eyes so scary?"

"What? Oh I'm sorry if your scared of my eyes I can't do much about them."

"We're not scared of your ugly eyes mister!"

"What? Why is everyone so mean to me this week?! Even the kids!"

A couple minutes had passed and somehow Suabru had managed to win over the kids. Or well, they still insulted him but they liked him now. Rem was looking fot where that nasty eyed loser had ran off to. When she found him he was surrounded by children doing weird stretches and movements.

"Subaru, what is it that you are doing now?

"Its called radio calisthenics! It's something from my home land to get you powered up for the day! Join us c'mon it'll make you feel great! C'mon we're doing stretches first!"

Said Subaru with a smile as the kids cheered and did the stretches with him. Rem decided why not? And walked over next to Subaru and did the stretches with him. Subaru, the kids and Rem were done with the radio calisthenics. Subaru waves goodbye to the kids as he left. Surprisingly so did Rem as the two left Subaru noticed a dark blue haired girl run over to him holding him something. It was a puppy!

"Subaru! Don't tell the adults but I found this puppy by the barrier! Isn't she cute?"

"Very cute! But why shouldn't I tell the adults? And what barrier are you talking about?"

"Well the village is surrounded by a forest that is a breeding ground for mabeasts."

"Ah, well im shre they wouldn't be very mad about this lil gal."

Said Subaru as he pet the top of its head, the puppy was a meanie and bit his hand. Subaru recoiled in pain and held hos finger.

"That's what you get for annoyong her Subaru!"

"I was just petting her! Oh well, I have to go now kids. I'll be back next week!"

Said Subaru before leaving, Rem was just watching Subaru act childish before following him when he left.

"Hey Rem"

"Yes Subaru?"

"What exactly is a mabeast?"

"A mabeast is a demonic creature that can cast spells made by the witch. They're purpose is simply to kill and hurt other things."

"Thanks for the information Rem, but mind if I ask another question? Who is the witch?"

Rem glared at Subsru when he asked the question. How could he ask such a question when he is covered in the witches scent? Dies he think that Rem will be so easily tricked by his questions? Disgusting. But she decided to humor him.

"When people speak of the witch they are referring to Satella, the witch of envy. Who is responsible for killing six other witches snd destroying half of the world four hundred years ago. She is the worst of the worst. Rem wishes to continue from this topic."

"Of course, I'm sorry for bringing up the subject but ad you know I am utterly clueless about lugunica. And this entire world in general to be honest. So thank you for helping me out Rem. I like the nicer side to you."

Rem ignored Subsru as the two continued up the road. By the time they made it to the mansion it was evening.

"Nee-sama should be done with dinner by now, you can go get your food Subaru. Rem will attend to other duties."

"Oh alright, thanks for being nice today. After I'm done eating I'll help you out with work. I work here too after all."

"Rem wishes you did not."

"You're quick to ruin the mood aren't you? Oh well, I'll see you in a bit. What are you going to work on anyway?"

"Rem is going to wash the dishes and trim the bushes."

"I'll help with the dishes, I've got no idea how to trim a bush. I'd probably cut my entire hand off! But I'm off to eat see ya Rem."

"Goodbye Subaru."

Leaving Rem Subaru waved and walked down the hallways making his way to the kitchen. But as he walked once again he saw the silver haired half elf Emilia. Her hair seemed to glow in the dark halls of the mansion.

"Emilia! What're you doing out here so late?"

"Oh I was just putting back the dirty dishes in the kitchen. Ram made steamed potatoes."

"Oh, I hope they taste good. Anyways Emilia since you didn't have time to leave the mansion today how about we go somewhere cool tomorrow? The kids told me about some beautiful flower patch. We can hang out there."

"Sure thing Subaru, when are we going on this date?"

"Date? I mean yeah I guess it is a date. Oh and how about morning? It'll look real nice."

"Great! I'll meet you at your door in the morning!"

"Can't wait!"

" You can't wait?"

"Wow this place seriously is a new world. Oh well, it's another saying from my homeland. Just means I'm so excited for it that I don't want to wait."

"O-oh, I'm sorry that we couldn't do it now."

"No! No it's just a saying I'm fine with waiting don't worry! Anyways I'll see you in the morning goodnight Emilia."

"Goodnight Subaru"

The two smiled and waved goodbye to each other as they parted ways. Subaru walked over to the kitchen to meet an angry looking pink haired maid.

"You are late, like you always are you deadbeat scum. Your potatoes are cold, but they still taste delicious! They're my specialty."

"Woah where did the sudden insults come from? Oh well, and thank you for the food Ram. I'll just eat it here and clean the dishes once I'm done. You two have done a lot today, so I felt like it would be unfair to make you do the dishes."

"Finally something productive comes out from you Barusu."

"Ugh, I hate that nickname. Makes my name sound like an insult."

"Your true name is fsr worse than an insult Barusu."

"Wow, going straight for the heart huh? Oh well. I'll eat these potatoes now."

"Enjoy them Barusu, these are the best thing I can make."

"Yeah yeah, they're just potatoes. Then again Rem's cooking could probably put a tear to my eye from how tasty it is so your food might actually be good. I'll have to find out."

"Enjoy them Barusu."

Repeated Ram as she left the kitchen. She definitely also had some other work to do Subaru stood up, eating the potatoes. These potatoes actually were pretty darn good. Still nothing compared to Rem's cooking, but still amazing. Subaru finished the potatoes and placed the dirty dishes and utensils in a bucket. Grabbing a bar of soap and proceeding to clean the dishes. Using a towel to dry them off, after about thirty minutes he was done with all the dishes and utensils. Subaru was tired and sleepy.

He groggily made his way to his room his eyes barely being able to stay open. This was weird, why was he so damn tired? He felt like his entire body could collapse at any moment. He leaned against a wall as he limped towards his room, he couldn't feel his limbs and he could barely hear anything his eyes were basically stapled shut. He heard a muffled thud, he must've fallen down. Come on! You can't possibly be this tired it's pathetic! He tried to get himself back up or crawl but he just couldn't move his limbs. It was so dark. He couldn't see, he couldn't feel, his lungs stopped breathing and the only thing he could hear was static noise. And suddenly and abruptly, he regained all of his senses.

He felt a thick and warm blanket covering his body and he was laying on a comfortably soft bed. He smiled, someone must've taken him to his room. It must've been one of the maids, he'll thank them today. And also beg them not to tell anything about it to Roswaal.

"Rem Rem, it seems our guest is a deadbeat who doesn't have enough will to get out of bed."

"Nee-sama Nee-sama, it appears you are correct, truly Emilia made a mistake by taking him in."

What? What're they doing in his room?

"Hey! What's with you two insulting me again? And why are you calling me guest? I work with you two."

Said Subaru as he got up and looked at the two maids by the side of his bed, they're holding their hands again. Huh, weird.

"You are truly mistaken sir, we have never seen scum like you in our lives."

"What are you two talking about?"

Subaru grabbed the blanket which was covering his lower body. But as he did, he couldn't notice the fact that the cut he got from Rem nudging into him was gone. The bandages were gone and the wound was gone. Which could only mean... FUCK!!! How?! How the hell did this happen?! This is so unfair! How?! Why?! He worked so hard, everything he worked for every connection he made every impression he made gone! And worst of all he never got to hang out with Emilia, that really sucked! It must've had to do with him having the energy sucked out of him. He has to ask Beatrice about it.

"I'm sorry but I have something important to discuss with someone. Thank you for waking me up though. My name is Natsuki Subaru and it'll be my pleasure to work with you both after dinner with l

Lord Roswaal."

Announced Subaru as he walked past the two confused and bewildered maids. He walked through the mansion before finding an oddly suspicious door, he turned the handle and opened the door.

"You are lucky to find me on the first door, I suppose."

"Yeah yeah I know. My name is Natsuki Subaru and I need your help! And I will leave you alone immediately after do not worry!"

"Betty will humor your curiosity, I suppose."

"Great! Alright, so have you ever heard of someone dying in a way where they loose all their energy? Like they loose their senses and are extremely tired? Like the life is sucked out of them."

"You are referring to a curse, I suppose."

"A curse? Can you elaborate?"

"A curse is a spell used by shamans. But it is not good magic, in fact. The shaman needs to touch you to cast the spell, I suppose."

"Ah, thank you Betty. Is Rem by chance a shaman?"

"Rem is a magic user, but she is not a shaman."

"Ah, alright betty thank you. Unfortunately I can't allow you to suck my ana because I need to get to the dinner room and become a worker here. I'll come over here at night and then you can make sure im not a threat alright? Thanks bye!"

Subaru said as he exited the room, leaving a shocked and confused Beatrice.

"Truly an odd fellow, I suppose."

(Authors note, I'm just gonna skip the dinner scene until the request for your sake.)

"I want you to hire me as a butler!"

Said Subaru, remembering to say butler this time instead of maid. What a dummy Subaru was. Ram coughed and that was the que!

"My myyy subaru, seems like a waste of a wish doesn't it? But I will nooooot sit here and insult you for your choice. My dear Rem and Ram go fetch Subaru some work attire."

"Yes Roswaal Lord"

"Yes Roswaal Lord".

Said the maids simultaneously. Huh, well this is different from last time. Well its no major difference, probably just something insignificant ( its is insignificant ) Subaru followed the two maids to the changing rooms. Subaru looked through the clothes and determined, yes none of the clothes fit him.

"None of these fit me, except for the female clothes weirdly."

"Your shoulders aren't straight, your legs are short snd your eyes look nasty."

"Truly you have the appearance of a deadbeat."

"Hey that's not nice! I cant do anything about those last two!"

"Rem will be taking your measurements"

Said Rem as she then did take the measurements. Subaru had a bored look on his face as he stared at the blue haired maid, it was around now that she was gonna sniff him right? And as assumed Rem leaned in uncomfortably close to Subaru and sniffed him.

"Can you cut that out? You call me a deadbeat and proceed to sniff me. You're giving me mixed signals Rem."

Rem's face went slightly red from the sudden embarrassment of being called out by Subaru. She got back away from Subaru and continued taking his measurements for the next very awkward ten minutes.

"Rem is donde taking your measurements Subaru. Rem will begin sewing your clothes, in the meantime go meet up with nee-sama. She will teach you how to peel fruits and vegetables."

"Alright thank you Rem. I'll see you later."

Said Subaru as he left the room and made his way to the kitchen. In the kitchen he found the angry pink haired maid Ram.

"Hello Barusu, I will be assisting you in cooking today."

"Ugh, hate that nickname still. I know how to peel fruits and potatoes. No need to help me in that ordeal."

"Surprising, you looked like an utterly pathetic and clueless seatbelt to me."

"Wow you are mean no matter what I do huh?"

Said Subaru as he began peeling potatoes next to Ram. He was done with five potatoes before being interrupted by Ram insulting him once again. And so the two bickered and insulted each other for the next twenty minutes. The sisters were alike, but Ram was more mean.

"Hey Ram, why is it that your sister Rem doesn't like me? She keeps looking at me weird and she gives me cold and dead insults whenever I talk to her. She even sniffed me once!"

"Well, it is because of your hair. Rem cuts and polishes the Mathers mansion's hair inhabitants regularly. your hair is dirty and messy, so Rem is annoyed whenever she looks at you. Is it not correct Rem?"

"It is Nee-sama, Rem cannot bare to look at it."

"Well then, how about you cut my hair after I'm done with peeling potatoes?"

"Sure, Rem will make your hair look amazing Subaru."

"Thanks, hopefully."

So maybe he wasn't actually pissing her off? Although he was still suspicious of Rem but maybe he was thinking wrong of her. Subaru was done with peeling potatoes and was now following Rem once again through the halls until they made it to s room. Rem grabbed a pair of scissors and went to town on Subaru's hair.

"Woah be careful there! I know you don't like me but be less aggressive you might cut off one of my ears."

"As you wish Subaru."

She was done with cutting Subaru's hair, Subaru was looking in a mirror smiling gleefully. He was looking on fleek and his hair was great. Rem is great at everything!

"Man Rem you're great at everything! You can cook great, you clean great and you even cut hair great! How many times do you need to surprise me with your amazing talents you blue haired prodigy!"

"Thank you Subaru, but Nee-sama is always the better sister. I am inferior to Nee-sama in many ways."

"Well you're definitely not inferior to her in these ways that's for sure! Seriously you're doing great and you probably have been doing great for years. don't put yourself down, your food was great and this hair cut you have me was great!"

Said Subaru with a smile as he looked at the blue haired maid who had a red hued face. He patted her shoulder and left the room.

"Well we gotta work now Rem! I will go broom and wash clothes. I dunno what you have to do but good luck! Not like you'll need it since you're great at everything!"

Said Subaru with a smile and wave as he left to go broom the hallways. While he was booming the hallways he had once again stumbled into the silver haired half elf Emilia. Subaru smiled and spoke.

"Hey Emilia, how are you doing?"

"I'm g-great Subaru! I hope your work isn't too tiresome!"

"No it's doing great actually, so no need to worry. Anyways I can't talk for long but how about we hang out tomorrow? I know this place that looks beautiful. You'll simply love it!"

"I would r-really love to Subaru, but I can't because I'll be busy with work."

"No it's fine! Maybe another time though, but I'll see you later Emilia! I hope you have a great day!"

"Bye S-Subaru! I hope you have a great day t-too!"

The two smiled and waved goodbye as they parted waves. Three hours later Subaru was done with all his work and it was evening. So he explored the mansion a little before finding a suspicious door once again and opening it.

"Your luck never runs out, I suppose."

"Oh don't worry you'll never have to worry about me not being able to find you! I'm quite the lucky guesser. Anyways here ya god suck me dry of mana."

Said Subaru as he walked and grabbed her hand, Betty was a bit flustered at the abruptness of the situation but came back to her senses and mana sucked Subaru. Subaru fell to his knees and fell asleep, he needs to get used to this feeling doesn't he huh?

And we are done with this chapter as well! I'm sorry that we didn't do much of anything but then this chapter would be too long. I'm sorry that this one took so long but I lost motivation for a couple days so I apologize! But here's the question, do you guys want fewer but longer chapters or more but shorter chapters? That'll be all cya till next time!
