So here's a new story and yes I'm still rewriting some of my old stories. And the song I use here isn't the full song cause it didn't fit into this world and made no sense
But enjoy this story and tell me what you think of it
Jaune was in the library all by himself. Working on his history homework which was due tomorrow. As he was about to finish he heard Ruby and her team coming towards his table. He looked up to also see his team walking with them. Once there, they took their seats and started to work on their homework too. Jaune kept working till Nora turned to her leader "Hey Fearless leader, what have you been up to?" Jaune remained quiet. It's been awhile since he actually talked to his friends.
"Nothing much actually and you?" Jaune asked without even looking up from his work. "Me and Renny have been good, we went out with Neon and her partner Flynt. We went to the zoo and I had so much fun" Jaune kept writing and tried not to look up. "That's good Nora" he said, "Is everything alright Jaune?" Ruby asked concerning for her fellow leader. It's been awhile since they hanged out. She's been spending time with Penny and that cool girl from team BRNZ. "Yea, just trying to finish this assignment" just when he finished his work did he look up to see Emerald and Mercury walking towards them.
Jaune tried to leave but to his horror he saw his partner stand up and make her way to Mercury. His heart just kept sending this cold/painful feeling through his body when he saw their affectionate kiss. It's been four weeks since he lost his chance to finally confess his feelings towards her. All he needed was a little push and Ren was the one who did it. He told him that she had feelings for him since day one. But he was such a dense motherfucker to even noticed. He was chasing the wrong girl, he hated himself for that.
Jaune grabbed his things and stood up "Hey Vomit Boy, where you going. We just got here?" Yang asked. Of course she never noticed he was here and not with them when they got here. "Just finished my assignment and I need to take a shower before I go out to Vale" he said with a fake smile. Which nobody noticed and he walked passed his partner who was to focused on her boyfriend.
Inside JNPR room
Jaune was taking a long shower and once he finished he got out of the shower and looked at himself in the mirror. He turned around to see his two large scars on his back. Just where his wings were, he lost them when he was kidnapped by a group that hated Faunus. At first he hated them, he was the only member of his family that was born a Faunus. At first they thought his mother was having an affair but they took a DNA test. Some how I was still my father's son. Every time there was a party or gathering, he was made to hide his wings.
But his family loved them but his aunts and uncles didn't. His grandfather loved him with all his heart. But he was scared that I would taint the family legacy. He stopped thinking about his life for a second and changed into his clothes. Just as he walked out did he see Ren sitting on his bed. "hey Ren, waiting for Nora?" He asked confused, knowing that those two stick together almost the whole time. "No, I came alone to check on you" he calmly answered. Jaune just grabbed his wallet from his desk "Thanks Ren but I'm fine" he lied but he knew that Ren would notice anyway.
"Jaune-" Ren said but Nora busted through the door with Neon and her partner Flynt. "Hurry Renny, the movie will start soon!" She said loudly. Ren was about to say something but Jaune walked beside him and placed his hand on his shoulder "Go have fun Ren, that's a order from your leader" he said with that fake smile. At first Ren was going to deny but Nora grabbed him and pulled him towards the door "You heard fearless leader Renny" once she walked out the door. He waited five minutes till he too left, as he walking down the hall way he noticed someone who he stopped talking for a while. He passed Velvet and Coco, he used to hang out with Velvet but she started to give Cardin a chance.
The three of them would talk till Cardin made his move and asked Velvet to go out with him. He still doesn't know why she said yes, knowing that guy made her go through hell at the beginning of school. Ever since then she wouldn't have time to hang out with him. So he just walked passed them like any other day. Just as he was turning the corner did he noticed Velvet turning around to see him walking away. He never stopped, he just kept on moving forward to his Friday night plans.
Couple of minutes later down in Vale he walked through down town. He stopped in a public bathroom near this park. He went inside one of the bathroom stalls and pulled out a red wig long enough to make a small ponytail. After putting it on he pulled out glasses to add to his disguise. Once he was done he walked out and kept walking till he was in front of a old bar he used to get away from his problems.
He walked inside to notice only six people were there. Two people sitting at the bar and four at a table. He made his way to the bar and took a seat. The bartender saw him walk in and pulled out a bottle of whisky and a glass for him. "Thanks Tom, how's the kids?" Jaune asked with a small smile. Tom was pouring his drink into the glass "They're doing good actually, and let me guess" he finished and place the bottle aside and moved the glass towards Jaune who took it. "Still having girls problems?" Jaune looked surprised "How do you know?" Tom smirked. "Cuándo un hombre pone la cara imbécil es por una mujer" he said in a language that Jaune didn't understand "What?", "It means, when a man makes an idiot face it's because of a woman" he finished saying when the two guys near them laughed. Jaune blushed and looked away but he saw the guys from the group at the table laughing too but the girls glared at them.
"Maybe" Jaune said while drinking his drink "Want to talk about it?" Tom said but Jaune kept drinking. Tom took that as a no so he moved over to the other guys. Jaune was thinking about his problems before he heard the bell from the door which means someone came in. He heard the steps till they stopped right beside him. "Will you look at that" the stranger said before putting his hand on Jaune's shoulder. "If it isn't my old friend" Jaune recognized that voice from his past. "Hey Max" Jaune said with a little hint of joy "Violet" Max said while taking a seat next to him.
Max ordered whisky too and they remained quiet till Max opened his mouth. But Jaune beat him to it "No" he said without looking at him. "Come on Violet, just hear me out and I promise I will never bother you again" Max begged. Jaune looked at him and sighs and signal him to go on. Max smiled "I need you back Violet, we're close to bankruptcy and your the only person I could ask to help me out". Jaune finally looked at him and noticed the cheap suit he was wearing and the stained jacket.
"What happened?" He asked which made Max look down to his drink. "Josh happened" he said with venom in his voice "He took everything my company and" he looked sad "My wife". Jaune looked down and he was surprised to hear that. He knew his wife, such a nice lady. "I'm sorry to hear that" Jaune said "But I have a life now Max" Max looked up again and looked into Jaune's eyes. "No you don't Violet", "What do you mean?" Jaune asked which made Max take a shot of his drink. "I know about you coming here almost every night straight for three weeks Jaune" he whispered his name with a sad voice.
Jaune then looks away but Max grabbed his hand. "Come on Jau-Violet, I need you" Jaune then looked back "And I know, that you need me too". Jaune then pulled his hand away and acted like he didn't care but Max knew Jaune. And he knew he was about to crack so he called over the bartender. He whispered something into his ear which Tom looked surprised but he went over to the back. Jaune confused till he saw a group of guys come out and went to the small stage where they kept their instruments.
Max had this shit eating grin but once the band started to play "Right here, right now I put the offer out, I don't want to chase you down I know you see it". He sang which made everyone turned to their direction Jaune was surprised to hear him sing again. "You run with me. And I can cut you free. Out of the drudgery and walls you keep in" the two girls pulled out their scrolls and started to film them "So trade that typical for something colorful. And if it's crazy, live a little crazy" Max gave Jaune a funny face but then he changed back to normal.
"You can play it sensible, a king of conventional, or you can risk it all and see." Max stood up and walked behind him and placed his hands of his shoulders and moved his face to his right side. Near his ear "Don't you wanna get away from the same old part you gotta play 'Cause I got what you need " Max moved his head to his left side "So come with me and take the ride It'll take you to the other side 'Cause you can do like you do, or you can do like me. Stay in the cage, or you'll finally take the key"
Max then moved away from his ear "Oh, damn! Suddenly you're free to fly It'll take you to the other side" everyone was enjoying the show till they saw Jaune push Max's hands off his shoulders. Jaune stood up and looked into Max's eyes "Okay, my friend, you want to cut me in. Well I hate to tell you, but it just won't happen. So thanks, but no I think I'm good to go. Cause I quite enjoy the life you say I'm trapped in" Jaune sang with a smooth voice which got everyone shocked to hear. Mostly Tom who knew the kid the longest "Now I admire you, and that whole show you do. You're onto something, really it's something. But I'll have to leave that up to you" Jaune made his way around Max who kept that smile "Don't you know that I'm okay with this uptown part I get to play. Cause I got what I need and I don't want to take the ride" Jaune went to get his hoodie that was in the coat hanger "I don't need to see the other side" he sang that part low.
"So go and do like you do I'm good to do like me. Ain't in a cage, so I don't need to take the key. Oh, damn! Can't you see I'm doing fine I don't need to see the other side" Jaune grabbed his hoodie but what Max said next made him stop. "Now is this really how you like to spend your days?. Whiskey and misery, and classes" Max said serious which got Jaune to turn around with a serious expression. "If I were mixed up with you, I'd be the talk of the town. (A image of his uncles and aunts came to mind)Disgraced and disowned"
"But you would finally live a little, finally laugh a little" Max got close to him with his hand stretched out for him to grab. "Just let me give you the freedom to dream. And it'll wake you up and cure your aching. Take your walls and start 'em breaking" Max saw Jaune expression and knew he was winning him over. "Now that's a deal that seems worth taking. But I guess I'll leave that up to you" everyone in the bar even Tom and his band stop playing and looked at Jaune and kept saying "Take the deal". Jaune then smiled and grabbed Max's hand, everyone cheered which made Jaune and Max sing together "Don't you wanna get away to a whole new part you're gonna play. Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride. To the other side, So if you do like I do, So if you do like me. Forget the cage, 'cause we know how to make the key" they started to dance in sync which the girls couldn't stop squealing.
"Oh, damn! Suddenly we're free to fly. We're going to the other side, so if you do like I do(To the other side)So if you do like me (We're going to the other side). Cause if we do we're going to the other side" Jaune grabbed his hoodie and Max joined him towards the exit "We're going to the other side" they walked out leaving people smiling till Tom froze up "HEY, YOUR BILL!" Tom shouted to get Jaune and his friend to come back and pay their drinks.
