AN/:Hey People! This is the author talking here. Please leave your suggestions/reviews down below. This is my first fanfiction, so please don't be too harsh.
Just a Disclaimer: I don't own the Percy Jackson or Heroes of Olympus Series. Rick Riordan does. Without further ado, let's begin!(Oh, yeah. This takes place on Half-Blood Hill, 1 day from the present.)
If you don't know, my name is Percy Jackson. 6 other people(including my amazing girlfriend, Annabeth) and I have been traveling the world, trying to defeat Gaea, otherwise known as the world's biggest dirt face. We just defeated the monsters at Camp Half-Blood and were summoned to Olympus, itself! I know, pretty crazy right? Now there we were, the 7 with Reyna, Nico, and Coach Hedge, about to receive our gifts.
"JASON GRACE! PIPER MCLEAN! FRANK ZHANG! HAZEL LEVESQUE! LEO VALDEZ! ANNABETH CHASE! REYNA ARRELANO!(AN/: did I spell that correctly?) NICO DI ANGELO! COACH HEDGE! AND PERCY JACKSON!" yelled Zeus, "You have all done well, taking down Gaea, defeating many monsters, and closing the Doors of Death! And now, step up and you shall all become immortal! You may serve your first few years at either of the Camps or serve your godly parent. Percy Jackson! Since you have saved Olympus twice now, you may ask of anything in our power, and you will receive it along with your immortality. Step up, after you have decided!"
First, Jason and Piper came forward and received immortality. Jason became a minor god of thunder and Piper a minor goddess of love.
"Father, we both wish to stay at Camp Half-Blood and train other young heroes." Jason spoke.
"As you wish, my son and Piper. You will stay at Camp and train others." Next Hazel and Frank stepped up.
"Lord Zeus, we wish to become partially immortal like the Hunters and train others at Camp Jupiter." "Of course," boomed Zeus. Artemis came forward, raised her hands and spoke quickly in Greek. Silver light covered both of them and it suddenly vanished, leaving both Hazel and Frank smiling in its place. They stepped back as Reyna, Nico, and Leo came forward and asked for the same thing. Reyna asked to be sent to Camp Jupiter and Leo asked to work in Hephaestus's workshop. Nico became Hades's lieutenant, of course.
Coach Hedge came forward and said, "My lord, I only wish that I can have a club again, seeing as my own broke against that Shrimpzilla thing." Honestly? I was not expecting that. Hearing Coach Hedge ask for a club reminded me of Tyson and how he had asked for a "stick" as he called it. I wonder how he's doing? I thought to myself as Zeus, taken
aback, called for Hephaestus.
"Here you go, my satyr. It is a combination of wood, celestial bronze, and imperial gold. Use it well. I've also placed an enchantment so it cannot break again." said Hephaestus. Coach Hedge, looking like he just fell in love again, thanked Hephaestus and stepped back as Annabeth stepped up. What? I thought I thought we were going to do this together? Like Jason and Piper. Eh ,at least we're still together.
Annabeth spoke, "I wish to become immortal and serve at Camp Half-Blood." Looking concerned, Poseidon asked, "Are you, sure?" He knew that I was going to refuse. "Yes, I'm sure." She quickly replied. Zeus shrugged as a golden light surrounded my girlfriend. When the golden light disappeared, I gasped. She was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. She and I can finally - "PERCY JACKSON" Zeus's outburst shook me out of my daze. "HAVE YOU DECIDED ON YOUR WISH?"
"Actually, Lord Zeus, I've decided to stay mortal but ask for 2 favors from you." Everyone gasped. I guess no one refused immortality twice. I would like Hestia and Hades to each have a throne, as they are your brother and sister. I would also like to have a duplicate of Riptide, so I can dual-wield them."
"Very well." said Zeus, "They will have thrones on Olympus, and Hephaestus?" He snapped his fingers as Hephaestus stepped forward and took Riptide from my hands.
"I can have a duplicate of this as soon as the sun sets. Come to my forge in the morning." he stated, smiling slightly.
"Thank you, Lord Hephaestus."
"Very well, then." Zeus boomed. "Now that that is finished, Olympians, we must go back." Zeus and Hera both disappeared in a flash of lightning. Next Hermes, Hephaestus(who took Leo with him), Apollo, Artemis, Dionysus, Demeter, Ares(with a glare toward me, of course), Aphrodite, and finally, Athena. That left me with Hades, Hestia, and Poseidon, with my friends, still looking shocked from my decision. Hestia ran up to me and said,
"Thank you so much, Percy. If you ever need help, I'll always be on your side." "As will I, nephew." said Hades, looking a little shocked too, "I did not expect that from you."
"It was the right thing to do, so I did it."
"Thank you again." They both said in unison as they disappeared, leaving behind a weird mixture of smells, that smelled like marshmallows and dirt. That left me and my father.
"What can I say? Saying 'I'm proud of you' would be an understatement." my father smiled.
"Thank you, father."
"But really, I'm proud of you. My son is basically greater than all the other great heroes combined! Finally! Goodbye, son. Until next time." With that, he disappeared in a fine mist that smelled like the sea.
"So," I turned back to the people I call my friends. "How is immortality treating you guys?"
"Seriously?! That's what you say to us? You refused immortality again!" exclaimed Nico.
"Well, it was the right thing to do." I slightly whined.
"And Percy wins the most honorable person award in the world, 're making the rest of us look bad, Percy." teased Jason.
"Shut up, Jason." I shot back. "It's not my fault tha-"
I was about to finish when these two boys came along. One had blue eyes, like the water in the deep ocean, black hair, and looked to be 5'9". The other had blond hair with mischievous eyes, and looked to be around the same height as the first guy. They were running from half a dozen hellhounds and a dozen telkhines. Judging from their faces, they've been running for a while, they already had cuts and bruises.
"OH MY GODS!" yelled Annabeth. "WE'VE GOT TO SAVE THEM!" We ran to the pair. Jason and Piper quickly stabbed 4 of the hellhounds, Frank got the last two hellhounds. That left the telkhines who quickly charged at me. I slashed at all of them and they fell to dust in one swing.
"Thank you so much," they both panted, "We've been running for like 40 minutes."
"Percy, go get some nectar and ambrosia." Annabeth ordered with a hint of coldness. I frowned. Annabeth never spoke to me with such coldness. "NOW!" She yelled. I quickly turned and ran toward camp, thinking about how Annabeth has been so cold to me ever since our last battle on Half-Blood Hill. I quickly found Chiron and told him that there were 2 half-bloods who needed ambrosia. He gathered as much as he could hold and carried me back to where all of my friends were.
"Here, children." He said, with kindness. "Eat some of this." He passed some squares to the new campers as they told their story.
The blond guy said, "My name is Zack. Zack Thomas. My twin brother's name is Matt." I stiffened little, remembering Matt Sloan from all those years ago. "We're both 16." I stiffened even more, since they were past 13. "We used to live about 3 blocks away from Times Square. We were coming home from eating at a restaurant when these things just came at us. So we ran. My mom told us that our dad, who we thought was dead, was really alive and told us to come here. We kept on running, but my mother was wearing heels and they broke. She fell. So my mom told us to run here, that we would be safe a-a-an-and she was eaten." At this point a crowd was forming up and everyone's heads were down, some were even crying. I felt for the guys, they just lost their mom, like me in my first year, except their mom was really gone. "So we ran for it. And here we are." Chiron, who obviously felt sorry for them like everyone else, gave them some nectar to try and cheer them up. When suddenly…
