During their sleep, Mew began to feel a little cold, so she tried to cuddle Mark. After she felt that Mark wasn't around she opened her eyes and saw that he managed to sneak away from her during her sleep. ("Not again!")
Still drowsy, she sat up and rubbed her eyes. *Yawn* ("Mark, where could you have gone this time?") Mew flew around and heard the front door open. Mark came in from outside and was shivering. "Oh, it's colder than I expected… oh uhh, good morning Mew."
"Mark, what are you doing up so early? We're supposed to be sleeping!" Mark looks away sheepishly. "I'm sorry. I just wanted to wake myself up for today by going outside for fresh air." Mew flew over to Mark and licked his face. "It's alright, let's go back to sleep, it's five in the morning. Plus I'm cold, and I want a cuddle!"
"Yeah alright, coming!" Mew teleports both of them onto the couch. She yawns before laying down and snuggles against Mark's chest for warmth. "*sigh* Maybe Mew is right. I feel like I'm gonna need as much energy as possible for today."
Mark walks in the house and goes back to sleep. Mew cuddles him and drifts away too. "Psst! Hey Mark! Wake up!" Mark slowly opens his eyes to see Erin. "You acting like you don't enjoy the small treatment and there you are looking all comfy huh?"
"Don't start with me now Erin. I'm still tired." He says as he wakes Mew up. "Hey Mew, wake up. Today is the day." Mew grabs Mark and goes back to sleep. "Five more minutes."
"Don't 'five more minutes' me! Get up, or we can just train without you then." Mew forces herself awake. "Okay fine, fine." Mew returns Mark and Erin back to normal size. "Thanks. Alright, I'll be seeing you guys outside." Mark leaves the house through the backdoor.
Shiny, Mew and Erin walk out the house and meet Mark in the backyard. "Alright then, let's begin Mark's training." Erin looks over to Mew who is putting her hand up. "Ohh! I wanna be Mark's trainer! Please can I be his trainer!?"
"We did agree to that, so yeah. Alright then." Mew goes over to Mark and begins to train him. "Alright then, let's begin Mark."
"Okay, I'm ready." Mew levitates a few rocks and sends them in Mark's direction. "WOAH!" He swiftly dodges the incoming projectiles. "You're doing great!"
"Are… you… sure… this… is... how… to train?" Mark struggles to talk while training. "It's good to improve your physical form before you use any complex abilities. So your body can properly use its power."
"But I can already use my power! I just need to learn how to control it!" Mark fumbles and gets hit on the head with a rock. "OW!" Mark put his hand on his forehead when the rock hit and started to bleed. "Mark! Are you alright?"
Mark's eyes turn light blue for a moment as he angrily throws the rock back at Mew. Not expecting this, she dodges, only barely missing. "Woah! That was close."
Mark's eyes go back to their normal brown colour. "No! Keep your powers active!" Mew yells as she rushes towards him. Mark looks at Mew in confusion. "Huh?"
"Oh right, you can't remember. We're gonna need to fix that." Mew gets a wet tissue and wipes his buruse. "How are we gonna fix my mental state?" Mark says loudly to Mew and the others.
Erin then walks in and interrupts them. "What you need to do is to just use your powers normally, and get used to doing it. Mew, you need to train Mark in getting him to use moves."
"Uhh… me use moves?" Mew thinks for a second and jumps in the air. "Yes! That's right! Mark can use moves like us! Come on Mark." Erin smiles at Mews enthusiasm. "Come on Shiny, let's see how well Mew can train Mark."
"Alright! So, umm… training. Oh! Try this move!" Mew puts her paws together and creates a blue energy sphere. "Tada! Try to do this!"
"You want me to use Aura Sphere? Can I even do that?" Mew flies over and pats Mark's shoulder."Don't doubt yourself! Just give it a go."
"Okay." Mark puts his hands together, the same way Mew did and tries to summon an Aura Sphere. But nothing happened. "Maybe you should try harder?" She asked, unsure."Try to do what harder? I don't know what I'm even doing."
"Maybe I can help with that!" Mew and Mark both looked at Erin. "Huh? You got an idea what I'm doing wrong?"
"I might. I guess what Mew is trying to do is for you to use moves of a pokemon, when you're supposed to be using moves of a human."
"Okay, then how do I do that?" Mark asked
Maybe it's because you're thinking like a pokemon instead of thinking like a human." Mark gave Erin a confused look. "Think like a human? What do you mean by that?"
"You're trying to use Aura Sphere like Mew, instead of using your own move." Mark took a deep breath and exhaled. "Okay, okay. I should think like a human." He holds back his arm as he prepares to attack and creates a white sphere of energy in the palm of his hand before throwing it towards a boulder.
The energy sphere expanded rapidly, engulfing the boulder and an explosion followed suit. "I… I did it. I DID IT! Everyone, did you see that?!" Shiny and Erin proudly walked up to Mark. "Yeah! We did! Great job!" Mew looked at Mark in amazement. "Wow, what was that move Mark?"
"Uhh, I dunno. Didn't think that far ahead yet."
"Oh, I know! How about 'Aura Sphere'?" Everyone stares at Mew in silence. "What?"
"How about we think of a more original name then copying the name of an already existing pokemon move. How about 'White Sphere'?" Erin suggested.
Shiny disagreed. "No, it was kinda blue and not just white. How about 'Destroyer Explosion'?" Mew snickered at the name. "A little too grand for a simple energy blast, don't you think?"
"What's wrong with having a grand name, even if it's a basic attack?"
"Why don't we skip the naming and just continue with the training?" Mark crossed his arms while tapping his feet impatiently. Mew then had an idea. "How about you fight me?" But nobody seemed to like the idea. "Are you kidding? You'd murder me!"
Mew's ears flop downwards. "But… you're my friend. I wouldn't-"
"That's not what I meant. You're far too strong to be sparing with someone like me." Mew's ears then perked back up. "Nah, you'll be fine! I'll just hold back my full strength."
Erin then agreed with Mew. "That makes sense. All Mew has to do is fight you while lowering her power to where you're both considered equals" This made Mew smile at Erin.
"I really have to fight some mythical pokemon with my own bare hands? Sounds like a death wish to anyone, but I see your point. Guess I'll go along with the idea."
Mew came closer to Mark. "So… when would you like to start?"
"Now, obviously."
"Alright, now hit me"
"What, n-now?"
"Yes. Now, obviously" Mew smirks at Mark.
"Oh ha HA!" Mark throws a punch towards Mew's direction and completely misses. "Oh come on, is that all you got?" Mark responds to Mews' taunt by continuing to punch her. However, she dodges all attempts with barely any effort at all, and even yawns.
"Then dodge THIS!" Mark desperately tries to increase the speed and accuracy of his attacks, but fails to even land a single hit. Mark decides to then take a step back and fires the same energy blast he attempted before, but Mew just uses her psychic powers to play with the ball.
"Stop playing with me!" Mark charges towards Mew again with a fury of punches, but Mew just continues to avoid them while humming to herself.
Mark begins to show signs of fatigue and his attacks become slower and less accurate. *Pant, pant, pant* Despite his fatigue he keeps trying to hit Mew, while she happily dances around his fists while sticking her tongue at him.
Meanwhile, Shiny and Erin watch from afar. "Wow, that actually looks fun. Hey Lucario! What do you say we give sparing a go?" Lucario agrees to Erin's request and spars with him while Shiny finds a rock exposed to the sunlight and relaxes on it.
After a few hours of training Mark falls to the floor, struggling to breathe, while Mew triumphantly hovers above him. "Well that was fun, but not challenging in the slightest" *Giggles*. Mark responds just by looking at her, as she holds up one of the energy spheres she caught from him and crushed it, leaving nothing behind.
"Maybe it's time to take a little break. What do you say?" Mark didn't say anything, but even she knew it was time to take a break. She picked up Mark and carried him inside the house and sat him on the sofa. He was still hyperventilating, and this made Mew slightly concerned.
"You okay? You seem really out of breath. How about a drink of water?" Before letting Mark say anything, she went to the kitchen tap and levitated a ball of water towards Mark's mouth. "Drink up! You need to stay hydrated~"
Mark drank up all the water and sighed in relief. "You know, you need to learn how to stop when you're at your limit. Otherwise you're gonna end up like you are now."
"Isn't going until you can go any further the whole point of training?" Before Mew could answer Mark, Erin and Lucario came inside with Shiny. "Hey you two! How did your training go?"
"Wait, you both were training? Why?" Mark asked Erin. "Well it looked like so much fun, I decided to ask Lucario to spar with me. Isn't that right?"
"Luc-ario!"
"Anyways, how did your training go Mark?"
"Eh, I didn't feel like I made any sort of progress."
"Oh, don't be so pessimistic. It's only the first day, you shouldn't expect anything big yet." Erin goes over to the kitchen. "I'm gonna get something to drink, I'll be right back."
Mew waits for Erin to leave before talking to Mark. "Erin seems to have more stamina than you."
"Don't remind me. This is why we need to up my training."
"But he's right, you can't expect a result so soon." Lucario just stares at Mark and Mew talking to each other. "Anyways… I'm gonna go play with Shiny. Rest well." Mew flies off and leaves Mark and Lucario, who is just staring at him.
("What's up with this creep?")
"What do you want?" Mark finally broke the silence by asking Lucario. "Lu-car!" 'I don't like your aura one bit! Leave!' Lucario responded.
Mark spoke back with hints of hostility. "And what makes you think you get to order me around, you blue mut!" Lucario didn't take this lightly and began to threaten Mark by jumping on the sofa and grabbing his shirt, without knowing Erin came back. "Lucario!"
Lucario got startled and jumped away from Mark. "Lucari-" 'Erin, I was just-'
"What are you doing? Mark is a guest!"
"Lu-cario!" 'He's a threat! We can't trust him. He has a bad aura' Erin didn't listen and walked over to Mark. "Sorry about him, I don't know what he's saying."
"Well I do." Mark said.
"Y-You do?"
"Your pokemon is saying that he doesn't like my aura." Erin stopped him."Don't call him that, he's just trying to protect us!"
"Protect us from what? Me?"
"Yes!" Erin yelled.
Mark was confused. He didn't know what ticked off Erin so much. "Did I say something?" Erin shook his head... "No" and looks back at Lucario "I completely trust Lucario's ability to judge others. Having a bad aura… means that you're a bad person."
"What are you implying?" Mark said with a hint of anger.
