Interlude: Ragnarok Prophecy
The message in mind was that Ragnarok is inevitable, but its definition can vary from benign to apocalyptic, not that anyone really got the memo.
Ragnarok is inevitable
Ragnarok will come.
The end of one of the nine realms
Ragnarok will come
Brought by the firstborn daughter
Of an only true-born King
Raised a prince of the realm eternal
Brought forth by the king's wife
A daughter of a different realm
Yet before his queen is crowned
Or he himself sits on his throne
Of one realm out of nine
The daughter outstripping father's great power.
Another realm under her protection
A third be allied
A fourth ignored with no ill will.
A fifth her rightful home
The gilded realm
That closed its doors to her.
Ragnarok will come for sure
Nothing can stop it's coming
Brought by the most powerful
Of any in the universe
Ragnarok will be brought
By the true Mistress of Death
But Ragnarok may not end all
If it's bringer's will is seen
The will not to end a world
But to safekeep precious few.
Sixth realm will be a precious balance
Between sisterhood and enmity
For Queen of the natural realm
Will be near as strong as bringer's might
Seventh realm will aid the bringer
Unknowing to their effect
Providing that which will allow
Their allies' enemy.
Eighth realm will burn
With flames of fire's fiend
But kept safe, with no long-lasting harm.
Ninth realm will be unknowing
To the events that will occur
Ninth realm's ruler will
Twist words and ignore cause
Of what's to come
And what's to be
Unavoidable at all.
Ragnarok will come
Heralded by wings
That bring fire and ice both
Showing bringer to her way
Through ice and fire
And snowy days
Ragnarok will come.
And when Ragnarok be brought
One warning must be said
Beware the Lady Infinite
If you choose to side against
The woman who can choose herself
The beginning or the end.
For Ragnarok cannot be stopped
Ragnarok will come.
A/N: The MCU does not put the Ragnarok prophecy into words so I did, to fit both my story and canon. Hint, the only one Hela ever cared for in canon was Fenris, so this will make sense. Not that she was Lady Infinite, canonically. If anyone can guess who I mean, I will post tomorrow. The hint is in the name. Anyways, if you can guess what happens at the end of the story, I will post the whole thing within a day because I am immensely proud of my final plot twist. Nothing explodes and with this storyline and these characters that in itself is something to be proud of managing. There is only one more interlude after this, after part 23. Please review, because that will remind me to post more, and part 18 is one of my favorites, to write and reread. All three segments/chapters of it.
The subtitle for the first chapter of Part 18 is: Odin Allfather deals with the consequences of all the enemies he has. (ft. Lady Sif and Hogun). The only one I like better than this is the 3-segment part 25.
