It is green because that is the color of your magic, while your magic is stored in your soul it's also heavily infused into your blood that's why a magical like us rarely if at all gets sick."Harry explained how he made the gem with pride in his voice.
"The band is enchanted to automatically resize itself to maintain a snug fit, it's charmed unbreakable but breaking it should be almost impossible as is, the band has a mentally activated spell that will send an alert to me if you need my help at all. Which you will know how to do once the ring is on, lastly it is also charmed so only you can take the ring off. The gem itself is a magical focus to help you cast magic, our type of magic users need some kind of focus if you want to advance your magic beyond simple spells for daily use unless you are very powerful like I am." Harry finished explaining about the ring and got a slow sensual kiss in return.
Dawn handed Harry the box then held out her left hand for him, the message was clear to him she wanted him to claim her as his.
"Dawn if I put that ring on that finger then you will have to always cast magic with your left hand because that is the hand with a focus and I know you're right-handed. I just wanted you to know first before I put my ring on your finger." Hary informed Dawn and she didn't miss the emphasis when he said my ring, she felt a warmth fill her heart and heat grow between her legs when he said that.
Dawn thought for a moment then held her right hand up instead, she watched as Harry took the ring out of the box and then slipped the ring on her middle finger, Dawn watched as the ring flashed before shrinking down to fit her snugly. That is when the ring glowed brightly and she felt a rush of power going through her body for a few moments before it stopped and the bright glow went away. "What was that Harry?" Dawn asked, amazed.
"That was your magical core and a magical focus bonding. Now hold your hand palm up, think hard, and focus on a ball of light forming in your hand, you want that ball of light in your hand, you need it, will it to form, and then say 'Lumos' to cast the light making spell." Harry instructed and watched as Dawn formed a very bright ball of glowing white light floating in her hand, she was so excited she lost focus and the light went out.
"Good job dawn, the more you practice the easier it will get, and eventually you won't need to even say the spells just want them to happen." Harry explained to his girlfriend the basics of casting a spell.
"Dawn, before I start teaching you more, I can add a spell called a portkey which is a magical version of a preset site to site teleportation to the ring if you want. I know you can teleport on your own with one of your Vampire abilities so I didn't add it. You can freely teleport on and off the island if you want without my permission, me and Willow spend more time here than we do at her parent's house." Harry said to Dawn as he smiled at her.
"That's ok Harry I don't need it, I usually teleport when it's safe and no one is around to see me." Dawn replied to Harry.
"In that case let's get started on your next lesson, the spell is called the Notice-Me-Not Charm." Said Harry after kissing Dawn.
