Once upon a time, Lincoln was about 2 years old. During these impressionable years, his mother and father could hardly stay around the house due to having to work overtime so they could have enough money to feed six other mouths of their own. Because of this, Lincoln was never able to really form that much of a bond with them. He still very much loved them and still does years later, but they weren't that close to him. The one who truly felt like a mother to him was his oldest sister, Lori.
While the parents were gone, the task of taking care of little Linc was left to Lori since she was the most responsible. Despite her young age, Lori was an extremely good caretaker. She made sure Lincoln was fed, bathed, and put to sleep every day. She would even do other motherly things like read him bedtime stories, tickle his stomach, and play peek-a-boo with him. She would even feed him ice cream on days he was a "good boy". Lincoln loved Lori with all his heart.
The day Lincoln turned four, his parents were gone, both due to business trips. They felt absolutely horrible. They couldn't make it for their son's birthday but it couldn't be helped. But who was there was Lori and his four other older sisters. When Lincoln got up that morning, he wasn't really expecting a party so he had a pretty sour expression. He trudged out of bed and put on his daily clothes (which at this point was just an orange t-shirt and blue shorts) and took his bunny bun-bun with him. As little Lincoln trudged downstairs with bun-bun hugged to his tiny frame, he noticed a certain sweet smell coming from the kitchen.
"I tink they're having bweakfast." Lincoln said to himself. Lincoln surprisingly had a fairly wide vocabulary as a child. But he had problems saying or spelling most of the words correctly. Lincoln walked toward the kitchen, and what he saw when he entered was complete darkness.
"Hewo?" Lincoln called out.
All of a sudden the lights came back on and the five older sisters jumped out.
"SURPRISE!" All of the sisters shouted. "Happy Birthday Lincoln!"
Lincoln was utterly shocked at what he had witnessed at that moment. There were happy birthday decorations everywhere, a pile of presents neatly stacked in the corner, and a giant triple stack pancake with four candles on it.
"You guys did all of dis for me?" Little Lincoln asked.
"Of course bro!" Luna exclaimed.
"Like, yea!" Leni chirped in.
"Why not? It's SHERBERT DAY AFTER ALL! Hahahaha! Get it?" Luan jokes.
A collective groan could be heard through the kitchen.
"Everyone deserves to have a bday party every year, Linc!" Lynn added.
"Lincoln, it would LITERALLY be the worst thing ever to see you go through the whole day with no party!" Lori said.
As everyone said this, Lincoln was filled with excitement and appreciation for all of his wonderful sisters who went through such lengths to throw a party just for him.
"We really have to thank Lori for this though!" Luan said.
"Totes! If it wasn't for the money she made at her lemonade stand, we might not have had the money to get all this stuff!" Leni added.
"Speaking of which, didn't you start that stand so you could buy a cellphone sis?" Luna wondered.
"It's not even that big of a deal; I'd much rather see Lincoln have the best birthday ever than some piece of technology I'll use like two times a day." Lori replied.
As Lori said all this, tears began to well up in Lincoln's eye. He dropped bun-bun ,and ran over to Lori to hug her leg.
"Tank you so much, Lori!" Lincoln squeals.
"Awwwww!" Everyone said.
"Anything for my little bro!" Lori exclaimed.
"Let's get to eating! I'm hungry!" Lynn shouted.
"Not until Lincoln blows out his birthday candles!" Lori says.
Lori then raises Lincoln up to a seat next to the giant triple-stacked pancake.
The five sisters all sang "Happy Birthday" to Lincoln, and then they all collectively shouted "Make a wish!"
Lincoln thought to himself (I wish my big sistor Lori will wove me forevor and will nevor abandon me.) Lincoln blows out his candles and everyone claps for him.
Little did Lincoln know, that would turn out to be a pretty shit wish…
