Me and T'Challa quietly and quickly made our way to where Sexi told us Hunter was, and we found him sitting on a cliff-hill, watching over the city he used to live in. We both went around, and were sitting in the trees, watching him, when he said "I know you're here, T'Challa. Show yourself."
T'Challa dropped himself from the tree, and said "Hunter. Finally decided to show your face?" His voice was very angry, and judging from his heartbeat, he was very angry.
"Well, no. I came to show my mask, and give you and father some information, then leave, and let you deal with the mess that is coming your way." He said, and his voice turned slightly resentful towards the end.
"How do I know you're not one of the Council, here to trick me?" T'Challa growled. Ugh, brother squabbles turned mega.
"So you already know about them. I just came from them, and they're hellbent on taking Wakanda down, or up, from their perspective." Hunter said.
T'Challa pounced at him, but Hunter just stepped out of the way. T'Challa turned, looking like he wanted to kill Hunter, so I stepped in. I dropped down from my tree. "Stand down, T'Challa. Your meager brotherly hate for him has gone for long enough, and has no place in this."
"You aren't my king, I don't respond to you, nor must I follow your orders." T'Challa snarled out, but he still sheathed his claws.
"Oh, but it seems like you do have to follow his orders, whoever he is." Hunter said, still looking at T'Challa, who was fuming. Then Hunter turned to look at me, and when he saw me, he straightened up in surprise. "You.. You're... Spider-Son-Of-A-Bitch!"
"Spider-Man, but Spider-Son-Of-A-Bitch works too. I'm assuming you saw my altercation with Doom?"
"Of course I did! That went crazy, you know? OsCorp is speeding up their illegal human enhancements, and the dark web is exploding with bounties for you, and-"
"What was that you just said?" I asked.
"The dark web is exploding with bounties for you?" He said, confused as to why I asked him to repeat that.
"No, what you said about OsCorp."
"Oh! They're dealing with somebody called Big Man, who is said to be the new Kingpin of New York, since Manfredi and the Nine Families went down. Last I heard, they had a possible enhancement, and were bailing some Systevitch guy out of jail, to give him the enhancement."
"This day just hates me, right?" I complained. (I totally wasn't fanboying on the inside, no sir.) "Anyways, Systevitch later, for now, we take the Shadow Council out of the picture. Did you see both N'Jadakas?"
"Yeah, but the N'Jadaka that I never met before preferred Erik, and called himself Killmonger."
"What did the other call himself?"
"He doesn't have a moniker, as far as I know, but I saw this suit with blades like mine, and a deer like mask."
"Got it. N'Jadaka Sr. still in Atlantis?"
"Yeah, but there's some stuff here we need to clean up first."
"The names, right? You dropped the file at the treehouse, correct?"
"Yeah, how did you know!?"
"Don't you want to know." I chuckled to myself, then said "Shuri, Sexi, do you copy? Meet us at the treehouse, we'll make our way there, but stay hidden. Don't want anyone who follows us to attack you."
"Copy that." Shuri said. "Tell Hunter I said hello."
"Shuri sends you her hello." I said.
"You're dating Shuri!?" Where did that come from!? I heard giggling from Shuri and Sexi, but I ignored it. "How old are you? I'd totally give you the shovel talk, but I definitely can't beat you, so there's no point to it. I hope Okoye has given you the shovel talk, she might be able to beat you. And hello, Shuri" Hunter said, nostalgia and longing in his voice.
"Me and Shuri are not dating, what told you that!? And I am her age, but we're just friends. How old are you? With how you're talking, you're not more than nineteen, but not younger than seventeen."
"Karma, Spider-Son-Of-A-Bitch, you just called Shuri sexy, and you're trying to tell me you're not dating, or just friends? And I'm just seventeen, in between Shuri and T'Challa."
I heard more giggling on the comms. I facepalmed, and said "I'll just let Sexi explain it to you. Sexi, please connect him to our comms, and let's go to the treehouse."
Sexi connected Hunter to our comms, then said "Hello, Hunter, I am SEXI, which stands for Superior Engineered Xquisite Intelligence, and I am Spider-Son-Of-A-Bitch's daughter. Don't worry about my full name, I will tell you when Spidey reveals his identity to you."
"Nice to meet you, Sexi." Hunter said, then turned to me. "That explains a lot, but you're Shuri's age, that's crazy. Shuri, if you're there, then hello. What's up?"
"Hey, Hunter. It's so nice to hear your voice again. I'm good, how was traveling the world for you? Me and Okoye were going to go to New York to meet Spidey's family, but that has been pushed back with this Shadow Council thing." Shuri said.
"Y'all sure you're not dating, I mean the whole meeting each other's family and stuff, seeming kinda like you are." Hunter said, looking at me.
"Dude, Hunter, White Wolf, me and her aren't dating. We're like best friends, and she's my daughter's honorary aunt, therefore she's my honorary sister. Please, just stop."
"Ahh, got it. Sorry, I've probably got you cringing under that mask of you, judging from how scrunched your eye thingos are."
"Cringing is understating it. And yes, Shuri, before you ask, I made expressive eye lenses."
"Dude, that's cool! I was never able to make it with T'Challa or Dad's suit, no matter how hard I tried." Shuri said.
"Enough talking, y'all!" Hunter said, then he punched T'Challa in the stomach. T'Challa grunted in surprise, then lunged at Hunter, who dodged and jumped off the cliff-hill. T'Challa jumped after him, practically roaring at Hunter. "That's more like it!" Hunter said. "Catch me, catch me, if you can! I thought panthers were fast, or something! You couldn't get me if your life depended on it, T'Challa!"
I laughed slightly, and followed them, watching their antics from the sidelines. I heard a sound in my ear, then Shuri said "It's just me, you, and Sexi for the moment. Care to explain the plan while those two children do what they call fighting it out?"
"Just follow our collective location for now, and listen to the comms. I'm slightly worried, as T'Challa is more aggressive than he was in the show, but nothing is ever the same, so I doubt anything will go too wrong. If everything goes according to plan, you will come across M'Bokur, and you three will fight him. You guys need the bonding, without it, T'Challa won't trust Hunter. I won't step in, unless you really need the help, which you shouldn't. But good luck with the zip line." I said, then disconnected and continued watching from the sides.
It all went pretty similar to how it went in the show, with T'Challa and Hunter springing the trap, then T'Challa fighting for his life while Hunter watched from the sidelines, then the two of them nearly going at each other's necks again, but Shuri came and stopped them from fighting, then they went to the treehouse, which M'Bokur followed them to, and then they beat M'Bokur there, with the zip line. When they finished, I came down from where I was watching, and gave them a round of applause.
"You were just watching! We were fighting for our lives!" Both Hunter and T'Challa screamed at me, and I smirked.
"That's what you thought you were fighting for. And if you consider that fighting for your life, then we stand no chance against The Shadow Council. Let's go talk to your father, after I get one shot on the zip line." I got on the zip line, and slid down it, whacking M'Bokur, who was still at the end of the zip line. "Whack! I helped in the fight! Y'all happy now?"
They were all looking at me dumbly, then Shuri said "So that's why you mentioned the zipline! You knew we'd use it for our finishing move!"
"Took you long enough, Dudette." I turned to Hunter. "You got the drive?"
He displayed it in his hand. "Every single person loyal to the Council's name is recorded on this device." He threw it at me, and I threw it at T'Challa, who was looking at me, clearly confused.
I shrugged "I don't have drive entrances on my suit, it's a security hazard. Much safer to stick it into something else, and access the data from there. But if I had a drive entrance, I'd trust this drive."
T'Challa nodded, then stuck it into his drive entrance. I could see the data flow into his suit, and Sexi was showing me what he was seeing in my HUD. After it all got through, I said "Ok, we're done here. I'll take M'Bokur on my shoulder, and we all can head back to the palace." I looked at Hunter. "I trust you, with my life, and my family's life. But I'm not taking my mask off until we're secure in the palace. You probably stole from me once or twice, I wouldn't be surprised."
"Wait, are you Peter Parker?" He said, quietly.
"Ayy! Shuri, round of applause for my boi Hunter!" We all clapped for him, then I said "Spot on. What told you my name?"
"How about we wait till we're in the palace, spies may be listening." Hunter said.
"Perfect. Thanks for the consideration." I said.
"No problem, you already have a lot of enemies, and you just came on the field. I don't want to think of how bad it could get if your identity was revealed." Hunter said.
"That's the general idea, Hunter."
Sexi said "Tess has arrived in Wakanda, and is currently just arriving at the palace."
"Ok, hun. Give her your first hug."
"Ok, dad. Thanks."
"No problem, sunshine."
After a moment, Hunter asked "I assumed your daughter didn't have a physical form to hug someone with, considering her name."
"We originally came to Wakanda today, or yesterday, to give her a physical form, and we succeeded. She was yet to see my sister before now." I said.
"That's nice. Congrats on your daughter's birth, or evolution." Hunter said.
"Thanks. Now let's speed up, I want to see how them two interact with each other."
"You're the boss."
"No, he's not." T'Challa said, ticked off as usual.
"Actually, Tich, he kinda is." Shuri said, enjoying herself.
"Don't call me Tich!"
"Why, got a prob with it, Tich?" Hunter said, jumping on the bandwagon.
"Zanda used to call me that, it's irritating."
"What did you see in Zanda, anyways?" I asked.
"She was the princess of a neighboring country." T'Challa said.
"Ahh, don't know about that stuff too well, so I feel bad for you. Luckily I don't have that problem." I said.
"Of course you don't, Dude." Shuri said.
"Shuri... You say shit and you're dead. You already made me tell Okoye." I said.
"I did? When?"
"When you were in that cage of yours, you're lucky there weren't other Dora Milaje there."
"I honestly think it's you that's lucky."
"What're you two even talking about?" Hunter asked.
I slapped my hand onto Shuri's mouth before she could say shit, and said "Nothing." I looked at Shuri as we continued walking, with her trying to get my hand off, and failing miserably. "Right, Shuri? It's nothing?" She shook her head as aggressively as she could, what with my hand and all.
I groaned. "You and Tess got no purpose in life other than embarrassing me, right?"
She nodded her head.
"Go to hell." I said, then grabbed her and jumped high up in the air, with Shuri in one arm and M'Bokur in the other, and I webbed my way to the palace.
When we arrived at the palace, I let Shuri go, and she said "That was fucking crazy! Awesome! I never understood why you used your webs instead of your repulsors, but that, that just told me! You're making me web shooters after our meeting! I'm totally swinging my way to wherever I want to!"
This was a small problem, but at least she didn't start talking about my love interests to T'Challa and Hunter. "C'mon, let's go to the meeting room, Sexi, come as well, and bring Tess." I said.
Sexi responded "We're on our way, we should get there at the same time as you two, and T'Challa and Hunter should arrive in five minutes, and the meeting will not be in the King's study, it will be in the great hall. Oh, and dad, Aunt Tess spent her spare time learning Wakandan, so now she can speak as well as us."
Five minutes later, we were all assembled in the great hall, and under T'Chaka's orders, Okoye was there as well. As soon as all were gathered, T'Chaka said "You may proceed, Peter. But please, instead of doing what you did last time, give us an overview."
I started "Understood, your Highness. So to start, we look at the objective of the Council. They want world domination, because which villain doesn't, but they want to get it through the overthrowing of the strongest countries. It's typically believed that the strongest countries are USA and Russia, but in truth, the strongest are Attilan, Wakanda, and Atlantis.
"Objective taken, let's look at their origin. The Shadow Council is an organization that has existed in several different forms since Yemandi, the Wandering Queen." Every Wakandan in the room's eyes widened at that. "Yemandi was looking for an artifact by the name of Bashenga's Spear, which was said to have the location of Bashenga's Core, which was the magical core of the comet that landed on Wakanda. I know not how it came to have its magical properties, but when Bashenga and Bast found it, it already was magical. The history of the Core aside, let's focus on Yemandi. Yemandi found the Spear in a gladiator arena in current day Norway, it was meant to be the prize of the winning gladiator. Yemandi easily beat everyone else, but the only fighter she had difficulty with was Thor Odinson. On her way out, the queen was asked by an old woman if she would give her the spear in exchange for a large herd of sheep. Yemandi refused, then she started speaking to Thor, and they discovered a map leading to Bashenga's Core within the spear. Thor asked if he could accompany Yemandi on her voyage to find the Core, but she refused, and went on her boat, that like all Wakandan things, was ahead of its time, and was also a submarine, a plane, and only needed to be manned by one person, even though it was as large as one of Zheng He's boats. As she followed the map, she found out that Thor was holding onto the boat from the outside, and let him in. They arrived at the location, and then used the tip of the spear to open a compartment, that revealed the Core, in all its glory. At that moment, the old hag from before came out of nowhere, revealing herself to be a witch, then she reverted to her actual form, and revealed herself to be Morgan LeFay. She turned Thor into a frog, and left with the Core. After a few minutes, Yemandi escaped out of the hold Morgan placed her in, and then her and Thor-frog followed Morgan, leading them to a castle in Europe. Yemandi and Thor watched Morgan read some spell books on how to change the Core's properties, so as to ease her use of the Core. Yemandi sent Thor-frog to discreetly steal one of the spell books, which he did, and going through it, Yemandi discovered that to revert Thor to his original form, she had to kiss him, which she did. Then they waited for Morgan to cast the spell, as she would be at her weakest point then. When she finished casting the spell, the Core changed into a crown, and at that moment Thor and Yemandi charged. With some difficulty, they defeated Morgan. As Morgan left, she said something to the effect of Shadows will always follow. Since then, the castle has been occupied by the Zemo family, who are her descendants. Morgan herself is in another planet, or something of the sort, it's possible she is merely in her own pocket dimension. But her descendants, the Zemos, have always been members or leaders of the Shadow Council.
"Now, the last time the Shadow Council has been awakened, was during World War II, under the late Baron Heinrich Zemo. They had come into a partnership with HYDRA, and had come across the box that contained Yemandi's Crown, which is what the crown was named. But they needed the key, so they purposely let it leak that they had the box, and with it being a Wakandan artifact, Howard Stark sent Steve Rogers an Peggy Carter, my grandparents, to Wakanda, to inform T'Chanda, the late king of Wakanda, of this development. Together, the three of them just barely stopped Armageddon, as T'Chanda was forced to surrender the key, and they opened the box, to reveal the Crown. They had a disagreement as to who should wear the Crown, Zola, the HYDRA second in command, or Zemo, the leader of the Shadow Council. T'Chanda, Rogers, and Peggy were able to use that distraction to escape, but complications happened, and my grandmother's soul and mind were transported out of her body, and placed in some machines. After a slight disagreement, Rogers and T'Chanda agreed that Rogers would go after Zemo, who took the Crown and key, while T'Chanda would stay back, and undo the change done to Peggy Carter. Both missions were successful, and Rogers and Peggy promised to keep the actual happenings of the day under wraps, then they all went back to where they came from.
"Now, the lineup of the current Shadow Council. First up, is N'Jadaka Sr., was once the teacher of T'Challa, Hunter, and Shuri. He is a master planner, smart, knows how the royal family thinks, as he taught them. Can fight well, again, he knows the moves of the royal family, he taught them those moves. If I remember correctly, his suit has orange or reddish fur, and has stingers like Hunter's, and his mask gives him the likeness of a pronghorn's skeleton. Dangerous, don't engage alone, he could possibly kill you.
"Next up, N'Jadaka Jr., Erik Stevens, has no biological relations to N'Jadaka Sr. He served in Spec Ops, or SEAL, and was known as Killmonger because of his savagery in his kills. Has a want for revenge against the royal family, because his highness killed his father, and left the body for eight year old him to find, and cry over. He is T'Chaka's nephew, the father that he killed was his brother. Extremely dangerous, has so may kills you can't see through the teardrops, don't you dare engage alone.
"Third, Baron Helmut Zemo. Obviously is in the Council, he has good swordsmanship skills, and is smart, and cunning. Dangerous, keep watch for him, but anyone in this room can take him out. Don't get too cocky, and go easy on him, take him out on every first punch you can get on him.
"Fourth, Ulysses Klau. Arms dealer for life, only here for the money, doesn't have any true grudge against Wakanda, except that it's super hard for him to get the vibranium. Watch out for his arm, it has powers, but just whack him out, you'll be fine.
"Fifth, Tigershark. Atlantian, super powerful, annoying as fuck, looks like a Tiger shark that has two legs to walk on. Hunter," he looked at me in questioning, "Don't you dare engage him alone. You do, I'll fucking kill you. Shuri, make sure he doesn't engage him alone, I don't want to see him doing self sacrificial shit, that's my thing." Shuri nodded, understanding that Tigershark was the one who killed Hunter.
"Sixth, M'Bokur. Ex leader of Jabari, currently in the prison of the palace. Has a suit, but can be taken down easily. Not sure if Sexi can hack the suit, but either way, it works out, just punch him in the face, he'll be out for the count. Keep in mind, I'm telling you, in case he gets out.
"Seventh, Princess Zanda. She can copy the looks of any animate being, but not all of their powers, just the ones that apply to looks. For example, if she copied me, she would have all eight legs, but wouldn't be able to stick to surfaces, or shoot webs.
"Eighth, Kraven the hunter. Super dangerous guy. Raised in Russia, could possibly have a super soldier serum in his bloodstream. Lived in the Sahara, and while there, he basically became king of the animals there. Has lived in Savage Land and came out fine. Couple of scratches, yeah, but not more than that. And that place has got every single version of dangerous animals, you thought every animal in Australia was out to get you, wait till you go to Savage Land, and that place got dinosaurs on top of that. He has killed two White Tigers, who are totems like us, but get their powers the same way as Hunter, but they had an amulet.
"That should be all, there is another woman on the team, but she hasn't been created yet, for a fact. Sexi, where is Whitney Frost? She may be with AIM, or SHIELD. Those are the two organizations she has ever been affiliated with, other than the Council."
After a moment of searching, Sexi said "Whitney is currently with SHIELD, logged in as a possible romance of a Clint Barton, who is affiliated closely to Natasha Romanov, and I suppose you know all this, but making sure you know who you're speaking of." When I nodded, she said "Current location, Antarctica. Is there alone, for the excavation of a boat that was found under the ice. I'm currently looking at the boat, and it seems to be of a Wakandan make."
"Oh shit. That's the boat Yemandi used, I don't remember the name. If she gets into the boat, that means the birth of Madame Masque. But I can only delay her birth, her frustration against SHIELD will lead to her birth sooner or later. When is Clint's next visit to her?"
"He is currently headed to her place, and will be there in about an hour."
"Ok, now can you get the current position of Attilan?"
"Dad, where is Attilan, what is Attilan? You only mentioned it in passing, never explained it."
"Oh, sorry. Attilan is a floating country, I doubt SHIELD knows they exist, but it's possible. They contain Inhumans, a race of people that are the cross between humans and an alien race called the Kree, and when exposed to a specific crystal, they develop powers. T'Chanda gave one of the pieces of the key to them, and told them to never give it to anyone. The other piece is on the boat, and the last is in Wakanda. To get the one in Attilan, you have to go into the catacombs. There will be a door, it requires one with Wakandan royalty genetics, and an Inhuman to open the door together. The one on the boat is our first priority, me, Shuri, Okoye, and Sexi will go there. Sexi, take a moment to search through Wakanda for a vase that was made in T'Chanda's time, that has an electric current, or presence."
After a moment, she said "Found it. It's in the King's study, the one on the left wall."
I looked at T'Chaka. "You have to break the vase, and there you'll find one of the pieces." Then I turned to Shuri, Okoye, and Sexi. "We'll head out in half an hour, get ready, wear clothes for the cold."
"Copy that." All three of them said.
I looked around. "Meeting adjourned?"
"Meeting adjourned." T'Chaka confirmed.
We all gave a 'Wakanda forever' salute, then left the hall.
