A/N: Bored with nothing to do in my free time so I thought I should write something to keep myself busy, so here we go.
Hello. My name is Brandon and I will be telling you the story of my adventures in the Dragon Realms and how I got there in the first place. But first I will tell you a little bit about myself. I played through the Legend of Spyro series in my youth. I am an inquisitive, caring, and empathetic person who tries to be as supportive as possible. I have an interest in all subjects but I find history to be the most interesting; specifically, the history of ancient civilizations and why they were so successful. Because of my interest, I have gathered as many details as I could find on the most well-known ancient civilizations and the strategies used by their military from the internet, books, and other media. If it was a strategy used by the military of an ancient civilization, there's a good chance I have at least heard of it. It is also because of my interest and vast knowledge on the subject that I was able to help keep the realms out of Malefor's control like they were in the 3rd game.
I must have been maybe 15 or 16 when it all began, I was around 5 foot 11 at the time. I am of Native American descent, I have long black hair and blue eyes. I had an average build before arriving in the Dragon Realms, but training with the guardians would give me a more athletic build. My family had just moved into a new house and I had finished unpacking my stuff, so I decided I would explore the forest behind the house. I suppose now would be as good a time as any to mention that I have three main hobbies other than studying history: listening to and making music, exploring nature, and painting. I used to own a guitar, as well as painting supplies, but I lost both of those things when I was sent to the Dragon Realms. Luckily, I was able to keep one thing with me: my survival bag.
Anyways, I was walking through the woods to try and find some inspiration for a song or a painting and after about 30 minutes of walking, I came across a small stream. I decided that this would be a nice place to paint a picture and I was about to set up my equipment when I noticed that the stream led to a cave. Curiosity got the better of me and I decided to enter it. I kept going deeper and deeper to the point where I doubt I would have been able to find my way out if I turned back. I eventually came across a dead end. I was about to turn around when there was a bright flash of light similar to that of a flashbang. When my vision cleared there was a swirling vortex, light purple in color, in place of the dead end. I was amazed, confused, and mesmerized by this sight. I made the stupid decision to approach it and as if it sensed I was getting closer, it began to pull me in, the strength of the pull increasing the closer I got to it. I was so enthralled by the portal that I didn't even realize it was pulling me in until I was swept off my feet. I tried grasping at everything around me in an attempt to save myself. However, my efforts were in vain and I screamed as I was pulled into an entirely different dimension.
I don't know how long I was out. I was suffering from sleep paralysis, unable to move, speak, or open my eyes, but I could still hear. I couldn't hear well, mind you, but I could make out a few muffled voices. After a few minutes, I began to regain control over my muscles, eventually, I was able to hear clearly again.
"Well? What is it?"
"I have no idea, but it is the most interesting, fascinating, intriguing creature I have ever seen. It is without a doubt nothing of this world."
"Yes, yes, but as fascinating as this creature is, that doesn't tell us where it came from."
"Patience, Cyril. Perhaps it can answer some of our questions."
"Of course, forgive me, Ignitus."
Wait a minute. Cyril? Ignitus? What the hell?
A/N: Alright, prologue complete. I would like to thank user Idiocy01, he wrote his own TLoS fic in 2014 and finished it in December of 2020, his fanfic inspired me to write my own. And while it may have not been perfect (especially in the first few chapters), I think it was a damn good one.
