Angel's Light

Chapter 15

AN: Hello all it's been a while. Firstly I want to apologize for the long wait I actually had no idea that it had been so long since I posted. To be perfectly honest I haven't been that busy I just don't like spending too much time on the computer these days and I was actually kind of frustrated with other people's IP's for a while. Anyway that said I'll try to get this story back on track now. Also I had an idea for a My Hero Academia story but I think I'm going to let that one wait for a bit longer. That said here is the new chapter.

Start Now:

The Realm of Death was not a place that just anyone can enter into. It was not a realm of the dead and thus not an Underworld in any sense. It was instead the home of the multiversal entity known as Death. Unlike realms of the dead it was not a place of punishment, or a reward of paradise or any other such place and as such could not be considered dark, dreary, fiery or frigid. Instead the place was open and airy which made sense considering it sat atop of the peaks of three mountains connected by bridges and situated so high that clouds surrounded the place. Many would be surprised that the place was actually one large pagoda style temple, the towers made with white stone topped with green roofs and golden accents. Naruto walked the place in a way born from familiarity none stopped him though he nodded politely to many of them, though there were plenty of servants about there were also people related to the person he'd come to see, some related to him as well. Eventually he came to a pair of ornate wooden doors one of which was already open.

Stepping inside and closing the door behind him he was greeted to the sight of a woman with dark blonde hair and a pair of heterochromatic eyes, the right being yellow and the left being green. The eyes were the mark of her status as a biju specifically the Nibi no Bakeneko (Two Tailed Monster Cat). She wore an outfit that was dark blue almost black that consisted of jeans and a tank top. She had been seated behind a desk but had stood and rounded it by the time he'd closed the door.

"Hello brother." Spoke the woman almost purring as she approached before pulling him into a soft embrace planting a light kiss to the corner of his lips.

"Yugito I see your feeling affectionate today." Said Naruto lightly.

While not his actual blood sister, he'd known this woman Yugito Nii for nearly 9,000 years now. Furthermore the 2nd generation biju all referred to themselves as siblings simply due to the fact the originals were all siblings. Upon their transformation into Biju all those years ago Yugito had become not only the Nibi but also the personification of Death as such she oversaw death on a multiversal level and whenever a universe ended it was her job to put it to rest. While she also dealt with people it wasn't to the level that people thought as instead each pantheon had a God or Goddess of Death which acted as something of a manager for their specific region. These days she likened herself as something of a CEO only hers was the business of death.

"I'm in a good mood. Sonja is getting married." Said the woman smiling.

Sonja was the name of one of Yugito's daughters, though she was young only nearing her 5th century.

"Really, I'll have to congratulate her when I see her then."

"You better." Said Yugito as she broke away taking a couple steps back before she seemed to sober and her expression became neutral.

"I looked into that case like you wanted." Said the woman motioning him to take a seat before she did likewise, only on the edge of her desk.

"Judging by your face I'm guessing it's not a simple case like I thought." Said Naruto.

"Your right. Before she died Lily used a wiccan ritual powered by her life and magic to create a protective shield of sorts for Harry. If she is brought back in any way that protection would be stripped away." Explained Yugito.

"I see. What happened to her soul?" questioned Naruto.

"She was absorbed by the Potter Family Magic, similar to how the Family Magics of that world were created in the first place." Explained Yugito.

"I see. Harry will be saddened but at least his mother will always be with him." Said Naruto after a few moments.

"Normally that would be the end of it, but because it's you and it is for him I've come up with a workaround." Said Yugito getting him to raise an eyebrow.

Seeing this she held up her hand before what appeared to be a tablet appeared in a wisp of black smoke. She worked on it for only a few moments before handing it over to him. Accepting the devise Naruto read through the information quickly scrolling down every few seconds before he reached the end.

"What will happen to his protection if we go this route?" questioned Naruto

"It will remain as it is. Once again it's powered by her life and magic, we require neither."

"I'll see what I can do then. Most of this should be easily done but one of the objectives may take some doing." Said Naruto

"All that remains is payment then." Said Yugito.

"I take it you have something in mind aside from the usual." Said Naruto.

"I'd never accept sex with you as a payment for services, I get that for the asking. I've had six of your children after all. Granted they were under different Godly personas, but it counts." Said Yugito.

"So what did you have in mind then?"

"Takeda wishes to marry Michiru. You get to speak to Gaara and make it happen."

At this Naruto had to hold back a sigh. Yugito had just given him an easy task all things considered and most likely only because payment of some form was required. Both of those mentioned were his godchildren so he knew them both fairly well.

"Done." Said the man after a few moments.

"Good" was all she said before spreading her legs wide in invitation.

Harry couldn't help but smile as he began to make his way up the stairs towards the common room. It was now the end of September, specifically Saturday the 29, the day they would be holding the tryouts for the school's Quidditch team. The previous Saturday had been the ceremony where he had been awarded his Order of Merlin 1st class awards, becoming the first two-time award recipient in recent memory. Of course as if that wasn't enough the Queen had made a surprise appearance and awarded him with the George Cross before stating that he would be invested into the Order of the Garter in June. He'd thought he'd been prepared for the ceremony but had been pleasantly surprised when his dad and aunts appeared with his dad happily crowing about his son proving his might. Thankfully though Hogwarts was under time magic and by the time the regular week had passed the entire thing had blown over for the castle's residents.

Instead the attention of the students and many of the staff had been turned to all of the new clubs that were opened to join and all of the sports that were holding tryouts. The Quidditch tryouts for Gryffindor had seen quite the turnout and they now had a full reserve squad. Outside of that Fred and George had made it onto the schools Ice Hockey team and the Foxes had all made the school's girls football team. Hermione had surprised many when she made both the tennis and football teams for the school. Neville had joined the Herbology and golf clubs while Ron had made Gryffindor's Quidditch team as a reserve Keeper, had joined the Wizards Chess club and after a bit of convincing had made it onto Gryffindor's House football team as a Goalie. Ginny had made the Quidditch team as a reserve Chaser and Oliver Woods had made it onto the school's football team as a goalie.

As for Harry himself he hadn't tried to join anything extra and instead had opted to remain out of the spotlight. Multiple people had tried to get him to join other teams or clubs, but he'd reminded them all that his father was Thor, and he had no clue if he would develop super strength, speed or anything else. That had worked at least until McGonagall had found out and he'd ended up as the seeker for the school Quidditch team the same way he ended up on Gryffindor's, in confusion as somehow despite his arguments she'd had a counter until he'd admitted defeat to his dads Quiddich fanatic godmother. As such while he was going to the tryout it would be in a spectator capacity which he was personally fine with, after all the entirety of the Gryffindor Quidditch team would be trying to make the school team as well.

Shaking the thoughts away as he reached the ground floor he only barely managed to clear the stairwell into the main common room when a loud squeal cut through the place, which was not an uncommon sound recently. Tracking the sound to its origin revealed Parvati jumping in place holding Lavender in a hug. Moving up to the board at the front of the common room revealed why she was so happy; she'd made two teams. Her name was down for the school's tennis team for doubles with Padma and she had made the schools track team.

"Oi there you are, we've been waiting forever." Came Ron's voice

"Ron it's barely been five minutes." Said Neville.

Shaking his head he ignored Ron for the moment and moved over to congratulate Parvati who instantly latched onto him with a hug. He stiffened for a brief few moments at the contact, still not quite used to it but relaxed quickly enough to return the hug. Breaking the hug he took a step back and watched as she pulled Kellah into a hug as well still as giddy as when he first entered the room. Turning away from the girls he could see Ron nearly vibrating in place while Hermione and Neville were clearly exasperated. Nodding towards the door he could see relief come over the two of them as they stood up from their seats on a couch.

"Finally!" exclaimed Ron standing to his feet.

"How are you this excited for something you're not even trying out for?!" questioned Neville.

"It's Quidditch!" exclaimed Ron as if the answer was obvious.

Hermione ignored the whole thing and pushing passed the two boys linked her arm with Harry's and practically dragged him out. Of course he knew that Hermione didn't actually like Quidditch and most likely just wanted to get some space from Ron so allowed himself to be dragged on ahead. When they arrived at the pitch they could see not only was the filled packed but so were the stands as if the entire school had come just to watch the tryouts. It didn't take long for the small group to find some seats thanks in no small part to Hagrid who apparently always had seats available for Hermione, Ron and Neville for the games over the last two years. Taking his seat he couldn't help but begin to grin as the energy of the stands came over him and he found himself fully invested in the proceedings to see who his teammates would be.

Thor Odinson had an heir. It was news that had of course spread quickly not just on Earth but in all the realms that Asgard ruled or interacted with. It was surprising news and forced many to scramble to learn all they could about Asgard's newly found Prince. Their actions were not surprising as Asgardians unlike the Olympians were not an overly fertile race, or rather they were not known to have children with any person or creature that had caught their eye for more than a moment. There were many who were thankful as they remembered when Odin's firstborn had come along and how that had changed the man who until that point had been a warmonger worse than Ares. Many hoped that parenthood would have a similar calming influence over Thor and thus force the rather young god to mature.

There were others however whose opinions were nowhere near as benign. For instance in Britain there were many that did not take this news well. Harry Potter, The-Boy-Who-Lived had already been enough of a nuisance and after the stories of his first two years at Hogwarts had come out many were already wary. This was understandable as not many could claim to have accomplished the feats that the boy could boast, not the least of which was the slaying of a giant thousand-year-old basilisk especially at just 12 years old and with only a sword to boot. His vanquishing of the Dark Lord had always been viewed along the lines of accidental magic and spoke more on his potential power than ability. All of that had been accomplished while he was on his own and under the care of abusive relatives. Then in a rather Slytherin maneuver he'd rendered Lucious Malfoy useless by stripping away his power in the Wizengamont and cleared the way for the return of Sirius Black and thus the resurgence of the House of Black. At the same time he'd stripped the Potter votes from Dumbledore's control showing that he was not Dumbledore's boy as had been said. These moves had stunned the entire body and allowed Madam Bones to make the moves she made in the Wizengamont.

Following that Black had taken control of the Daily Prophet and its subsidiaries taking away their usual method of controlling the populous and how they thought. The reveal that he'd learned the Patronus Charm had spoken of his personal power and ability as many people couldn't produce a corporeal patronus even as adults. His inclusion into the Order of Merlin hadn't been all that surprising, though something they'd have blocked before.

"… undone in one summer what's took a decade to build!" came an exclamation from Corban Yaxley that forced him from his thoughts.

"We get it stop whining already." Came the voice of Roderick Rosier, older brother to the late Evan Rosier.

"I thought the point of this meeting was to determine a path forward, not cry about the losses of the summer." Came the voice of Thomas Avery.

"It is but those points needed to be covered in order to determine the way forward." Spoke Jacob Mulciber, the oldest one of them present and the last living Senior Circle Death Eater.

"It's clear we underestimated the Potter boy and he's not the blunt instrument that we were informed he was. We know he had no clue about his heritage prior to the end of his second year at Hogwarts. Despite this as soon as he knew of his heritage and what it entailed he made a move in the first opening he had." Continued the man.

"It's admirable really, I believe many of the current generation kids would not have been able to execute this so quickly and efficiently." Came the voice of Oswald Lee.

"The way he was brought up forced him to adapt his thinking to survive. Otherwise he'd have broken and ended up in Hufflepuff." Came the voice of Philip Wilkes.

"Nott, I'd like your take on the matter." Said Mulciber breaking him from his observation.

"The boy will require watching. We know his mother was no mudblood and the boy may have inherited the whitelighter powers that had been locked away from her. We know Thor was once James Potter but so far the boy has not shown any signs of an inheritance from the Asgardian connection. Unfortunately, we don't know how Asgardians come into their powers so that point is moot, as he may develop them soon or never develop them. We know he was meant to be in Slytherin but rejected the house for Gryffindor but was that cunning on his part or was someone already in his ear?

Regardless we know Loki is his uncle and depending on the relationship between the brothers he may play a hand at developing the boy's potential. He is also Heir to two of the Founders and the other two are now in the school as such the protections around the place will be at an all-time high. He is also the heir to Houses Black and Potter, which means if not now he will soon learn how to summon the Family Magic of both, which means two totems. We will need to assume all knowledge of him from before is useless and start again from the beginning." Said the man getting quite a few nods.

"Easier said than done, we also lost Severus over the summer." Said Yaxley

"Severus was a fool and allowed his grudge with the Marauders to compromise him when it came to Potter." Said Lee waving it off.

"Send word to your children to observe Potter and those he is friendly with. We want to know anything of interest about them all. They can consider it further training in information gathering." Said Wilkes

"That's Hogwarts handled then. Now let's discuss the Ministry and how we regain control there." Said Mulciber moving to the next subject.

Hogwarts Castle was just over 1,000 years old, created, supported, and maintained by magic. It sat on the convergence point of seven magical ley-lines which amongst other things allowed the castles resident House Elves to live without bonding to any witch or wizard but to the castle itself. It had been built by a young Loki as something of a statement to show just what one could accomplish with magic and gifted to his students who would become known as the Founders. It's method and purpose of creation had given birth to what was known as a genus loci (Spirit of Place) by the name of Kaci whose presence was usually seen by the moving staircases or the way places in the building were known to shift around. Despite the age of the castle Kaci was still quite young and due to the age of the majority of her residents was quite playful often taking a liking to mischief makers as long as no one was harmed. The Marauders had been some of her favorites as students and she had often given them a helpful hand and now that two of them had returned as Professors she was more than willing to help them out with their projects.

As such when the two men had been discussing a project to make use of the abandoned third floor corridor she had listened carefully and had quite readily worked with them. This would explain how within less than a day Hogwarts now had an entire corridor that played host to a number of auditoriums for movies. Minerva McGonagall as Headmistress was quite amused as Kaci relayed what the two professors had been up to and what she'd done to help them. This led to now where she stood in front of the entire school students and staff alike as well as a number of board members all of whom seemed quite intrigued by the current settings of the room.

"Good afternoon everyone." Spoke McGonagall her voice heard by all due to the amplification charm she'd applied.

As you all know this is a year of firsts for our school. For the first time we have students and staff who do not live in our isles attending with us and have also opened up our sports program. For those of you who have experienced Hogsmeade in the past you will find that it has been expanded as well. Another first for us is that we will now begin taking our students out beyond even Hogsmeade and out into the wider world. These trips will include places such as the Ministry of Magic, Silverberry Potions, Stonehenge and many more both magical and mundane. Another first will be our Home Weekends as thanks to the portal magics we now have access to you will now be able to spend one weekend a month at home if you so choose. Today however is another first for our school and not just due to the school team Quidditch tryouts. Thanks to the work of Professors Black and Lupin we will now also have Movie Weekends." Much to the surprise of many of those in attendance before she called for the named Professors.

As they appeared at the front of the room the two professors looked perfectly smug. This for once was a perfectly good reason to have such expressions as what they had accomplished was not only unheard of but thought to be impossible. Sirius of course took center stage as he'd always been the showman, though Remus could put on just as good of a show if needed.

"In the summer after our fifth year a group of us were invited on an outing and hosted by the late Lady Potter, then Lily Evans. In attendance that day were the two of us along with James Potter, Frank Longbottom, the future Lady Longbottom, Alice Drake, Marlene McKinnon and Pandora Gardiner, the future Lady Lovegood. The vast majority of us were purebloods and it was our first tine seeing Muggle London. It was a wonderful day and near the end we all returned to the Evans house Lily introduced us all to what was known as a Motion Picture or a movie. For many of us it was quite the experience to top off a wonderful day." Said Sirius only for Remus to pick up smoothly.

"Over the summer after reconnecting the two of us got to revisit that experience many times and upon deciding to return to Hogwarts as teachers we were both determined to share that experience with you all. With that in mind we will now show you all the movie that was shown to us all those years ago. This movie is based on a true story and have inspired many to take up the profession since. It is in the loving memory of our departed friends that we present to you Raiders of the Lost Ark."

From his position in his seat Harry smiled softly, he already knew the story and Raiders was actually the first movie he'd ever properly seen as the two Marauders had been insistent on that. Since that first time he'd only seen the movie one more time and that had been after his father reappeared. He'd watched it with his dad, Padfoot, Moony, the Longbottoms, Hermione and Luna. Beside him he could feel both Hermione and Luna settle in and looking to Luna's other side he could see Neville with a small smile on his face.

The first movie day had been a huge success with those students and teachers alike who'd never seen it raving about the film. Those who had seen it previously had also enjoyed the experience and come away with a new appreciation for it as such it was no surprise that having Movie Weekends were very much looked forward to. Of course the Headmistress had also made the event a privilege and something that could be taken away from a student as a punishment much like the Hogsmeade Weekends were. It was announced that there were also two more Movie Rooms in the hall as they would show films that were age appropriate and that not everyone liked the same things. That had been one that had presented something of a spanner when it was brought up that the movie ratings were out of date with the current times.

Eventually however the hype had faded away and they were back into the grind of their schooling. For Harry it was the first time he was actually enjoying being in school simply due to what he was learning. Before Hogwarts he'd never enjoyed school due to the influence of the Dursley's. When he first started Hogwarts he'd more enjoyed being away from the Dursley's than the schooling but that had changed this year with his vow to honor his parents and dedicate himself to his learning. It also helped that his instructors were more engaged and many of the distractions had been done away with. While he had always enjoyed Professor Flitwick as a teacher it was only now that he was coming to appreciate Charms, which had been one of his mothers' favorite subjects.

He was currently in the middle of his Advanced Magic class. Over the near year of time-compression he'd come to really enjoy the class, already he'd learned so much and there was still plenty to cover. Professor Green had started them off with the Mind Arts or Basic Psionics as she called it which started with Occlumency. It had been amusing to see that something that was considered hard by wizards was considered a basic skill. She had only gotten them started as that was a more personal skill and as such required daily work. Other than that they had also had a theoretical study of the different types of magic they started with Natural Magic which is the magic inherent in the Earth, then moved on to Traditional Magic which is what they used powered by the magical core. Next was Wiccan Magic which is what his aunts used but had a much stricter rules of usage. Next was Ancestral Magic such as the Family Magic of the Ancient and Noble Houses.

At the moment the class was focused on a more practical pursuit, the study of telekinesis. She had explained that all witches and wizards were capable of telekinesis and while it was considered basic it was a learned skill. It was different for someone who had it as an active power such as his Aunt Prue who it came easily to, and she was naturally more powerful with it as a result. It was different than telekinetic orbing which acted more like a summoning would, teleporting something from one point to another, this was one of the first things he'd figured out when Prue had begun teaching him over the summer. Pure telekinesis was the manipulation of physical space and was also much harder than the hybrid variant and was something that required constant focus on his part, though he was getting better and stronger with the ability with practice.

Looking around he could see several of his classmates had by now gotten the hang of it and had a number of rubber balls hovering around them. All of them had a bit of a breakthrough in an earlier class where Professor Green informed them they'd all had probably done it before but had considered it accidental magic and had subconsciously begun blocking it from themselves. Regardless it was a taxing ability on both minds and magic and as such most couldn't keep it up for long.

"Alright that enough for the day." Called the Professor resulting in a bunch of rubber balls dropping to the floor and bouncing away while the students slumped over.

"So this will be the last day that we'll be covering Mind Magic of any kind in this class. From this point both Occlumency and Telekinesis are things you'll have to work at on your own time. Like your physical muscles both your mind and magic will get stronger with use and time. By this point you all know the warning signs of pushing yourselves too hard so pace yourselves. As a bonus and a secret between us this is a form of magic you can even work on at home as it's not a wand magic just don't do it out in the open. I'll test you all in a month to see how far you've come; I expect all of you to be able to at least float a pair of light books around you. Dismissed."

The group of students were slow to begin moving which didn't surprise Harry simply due to how mentally exhausting the ability was in the beginning. It didn't tire him out as easily but that was only because he had a couple of extra months practice over his peers. At the same time he was kind of glad that this was an elective and not a mandatory class as he didn't even want to imagine what the junior death eaters would do with these abilities. Daphne had already told him that very few of her housemates had decided to take the class and of those who did none of them were from the known or suspected death eater families. As it was he was also happy that all of his friends were taking the class even among the other years as between Advanced Magic and Mystic Arts they'd have plenty of abilities the Death Eaters would be completely unaware of when they started stirring again.

"Harry!" came a call breaking him from his thoughts and causing him to look up to see Hermione, Ron, Zatanna and Neville surrounding him.

"Are you okay?" questioned Hermione

"I'm fine just thinking." Said the boy.

"More like you're brooding again. You need to take your mind off of that bloody prophecy." Said Ron causing everyone else to frown.

Professors Trelawney's very public prophecy had thrown something of a spanner in the workings of the castle and the minds of its occupants. Prior to that the woman had been considered a drunken fraud, but it had shown that she was a legitimate if minor Oracle though her prophecies came far and apart from each other. She was also a legitimate Seer though she had little control of the ability and had been taken for training by Professor Mordo. Her class had thus been taken over by another member of the Masters of Mystic Arts, this one a British woman named Milana Bennet, or Professor Bennett as they called her. Of course Sirius and Remus and sworn up a storm when they came to the realization that the prophecy that had led to his parent's deaths had obviously been given by Trelawney and Dumbledore had probably only hired her to keep her close and under his control.

"I'm not worried about that. The Elders have already looked into it and even if Tom is back up he's outside of even their reach." Said Harry after pushing t.

Of course that wasn't to say he wasn't still worried as Harry knew that the previous timeline hadn't seen snake-face revived for another year. That said he'd still acted, as he hadn't hesitated to summon the Resurrection Stone from the Gaunt Ring. While he hadn't been able to get the ring itself the Stone was his and had come to him in a flurry of orbs. The Stone was currently in his main Potter vault in Gringotts hidden amongst one of the many chests that held gems. The only person aside from himself who knew it was there was Sirius who had accompanied him.

"But the Death Eaters and the Junior's are still a threat regardless." Said Neville getting a nod from Harry.

"You don't think they'll make any moves this soon?" questioned Zatanna.

"Not overtly. But I do think they'll make some moves to either regain power or gain some measure of favor when he does emerge." Said Harry

"Well they won't move on the school, it's common knowledge that The Founder's Heirs are all in attendance now." Said Hermione

"That leaves the Ministry and the Wizengamont." Said Neville.

"Neither of which we can act on at this point, at least not any more than you have." Said Ron.

"You're right there. Politics is a slower game and one none of us are even near ready for. We'll have to leave that with Padfoot and Madam Longbottom to handle." Said Hermione.

"As for the Juniors they'll try to learn as much as they can while in the school. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about that but try not to show off too much of the abilities we pick up in our new classes." Said Neville getting nods all around.

"What about our core classes?" questioned Zatanna.

"Learn as much as you can, everyone shares those classes so it's moot trying to hide things they'll learn as well. Also I'll talk to McGonagall I had an idea, but I want to run it by Padfoot first before I approach her." Said Harry.

"Alright you lot, get a move on before you're late for your next class." Came the voice of Professor Green causing the group to jump having forgot all about her.

Not long later found the group walking up to the Transfiguration classroom just in time for the doors to open to allow the class to enter. Thanks to the time compression they'd had several months to get used to having a new teacher for the subject and in that time Sirius had really settled into his role as a teacher and had become one of the student's favorite teachers. Of course he was just as strict a teacher as McGonagall had been, but he was also more personal than she'd ever been, and he'd often told stories about things he'd done using transfiguration while in school. The class had also become easier for several people due to the increased control they had over their magic both with and without a wand. Because of this improved control many of the students found their grades shooting up and while Hermione was still the top student in the class the rankings were a lot closer than they had previously been.

The class itself seemed to fly by with the class trying to transfigure wooden goblets into dog statues. Transfiguration was all about a combination of power, control, concentration and imagination and with his magic free from the bindings and the fun he'd had over the summer he had power and imagination to spare. This had helped him rise to be one of the top ten students in the class for his year and he was constantly told the grade would improve over time with greater control. As such while most people settled for regular dogs Harry decided to have a bit of fun the end result being a statue of Huckleberry Hound complete with tie and top hat. Hermione upon seeing it began giggling which drew the attention of a few more people not the least of whom was Sirius who immediately started grinning upon seeing it.

"Not bad, you just need to get your colors right. The blue is too dark, the tie should be red, and the hat should have multiple colors. Still like the creativity, 5 points to Gryffindor." Said Sirius before moving on.

After class Harry stuck behind for a bit to run his idea by Sirius. It was something that had left his godfather stuck in shock for a small bit of time before he mirror called Remus and ran the idea by him. After Remus had gotten over his shock they'd engaged in a quick conversation where the two of them began to quickly bounce ideas off of each other to build on his original one. Eventually the duo had to stop but agreed they'd run it by McGonagall before trying to add more to it.

Shutting down the call and knowing that they were now about twenty minutes into their lunch hour they didn't bother walking and instead grabbing his godfathers arm Harry orbed them down to the Main Hall just outside of the doors to the Great Hall. As they entered the door the duo split with Sirius moving to the staff table while Harry moved to join his friends at the Gryffindor table. Unlike previous years where the houses stayed separate there was more integration now and Harry wasn't surprised to see a mix of all houses seated at all the tables. Apparently the only time students were required to sit at their house table was during formal feasts and on opening night. Any other time they were free to sit where they pleased. The Foster Twins had also joined his table as they had become fast friends with Astoria, Luna and Ginny.

He himself found himself seated between Hermione and Daphne with Neville across from him. Beside Neville were Zatanna and Hannah while Ron was with Susan and Tracy. As he sat he could see Hermione nearly vibrating in place while Daphne just raised a blonde eyebrow at him. Looking around the table and seeing the other looks directed his way Harry shook his head with a smile.

"He went for it. We're going to run it by Aunt Minnie after classes end today." Said Harry causing Hermione to relax and quite a few of them to smile.

"You realize of course that the Junior's equal only about 20% of the legacy Slytherins students correct." Said Daphne

"No, nor do I know the number in Ravenclaw." Said Harry.

"Just leave the Junior's to us Harry, we'll take care of the issue." Said Tracy.

"That simple?" questioned Susan in surprise

"Yes, we can handle the snake pit, we just need someone to help Zatanna with the eagles nest." Said Daphne.

"What about Padma, Cho and Penny." Said Neville.

"Good idea, especially Clearwater seeing how she is heiress Ravenclaw." Said Tracy

"The Nest doesn't work on politics." Said Luna from behind Harry causing him to jump in place.

"Did you have to be sneaky?" questioned Harry.

"Well it was rude to interrupt but they were going to make a mistake." Said Luna with a shrug.

"Mistake how?" questioned Tracy

"You assumed Ravenclaw was just as politically minded as Slytherin. In truth we are supposed to operate on logic, it's a heavy reliance on what is known fact and what can be interpreted by that." Said Luna

"So like how Hermione thought that anything in a book was considered true." Said Ron smirking at the girl who blushed.

"Yes. Ravenclaw is for the studious, those of high wit and the intellectually curious. Hermione is a combination of the first two and I'm the third." Explained the blonde girl

"I see, that really would be a different approach." Said Daphne frowning.

"I'll talk to Penny and Padma and see what they can do." Said Hermione getting nods all around.

"Was there anything else Luna?" questioned Harry.

"You promised us cookies." Said the girl with a pout causing Harry to chuckle

Reaching down he picked his backpack off of the floor and after rooting around a bit came up with a sealed paper bag which he handed to Luna before handing her four more getting a beaming smile from the girl who hugged him and kissed his cheek before skipping back to her seat.

"Why do they get cookies?" demanded Tracy

"They passed their history test the other day. None of them scored less than a B+." said Harry.

"You're spoiling them." Said Daphne

"Rewarding." Retorted Harry

"Either way at this point your basically playing big brother to all of them." Said Susan.

"What's wrong with that?" questioned Ron who much preferred Ginny seeing Harry in a brotherly fashion to how she used to be.

"Nothing, Daphne just doesn't want to compete with them." Said Zatanna smirking causing the Greengrass heiress to glare

Harry said nothing to that and instead put his head down paying more attention to his plate. He knew that Daphne wanted to be Lady Black and her dad had already sent a letter to Sirius to start betrothal negotiations. That had prompted the first real talk about his future marriage prospects between them, but nothing had been decided yet. He knew that he would need a betrothal contract in the future whether he married Daphne or anyone else as they were basically prenuptial agreements meant to protect the assets of both families if things didn't work out, even his mother had signed one according to his dad. The problem was he had multiple houses and if he didn't want his wife to be looked at as the next Molly Weasley he needed more than one wife. There was also once again his Asgardian heritage to take into consideration which would require conversations with not only his dad but his parents as well as they were the King and Queen of Asgard. In short betrothals were a lot more complicated for him so he was choosing to dodge all such conversations for the time being by concentrating on his food.

Loki was the Asgardian God of Mischief, in his youth prior to being granted this title he'd been a trickster often playing pranks on anyone at anytime that caught his attention often using his innate aptitude for magic in this endeavor which had helped to push its growth. Of course being both of Asgard and of Jotun decent he boasted super strength and durability along with an increased lifespan. Though he hadn't been counted in the top five of Asgard's warriors his rather newly regained memories of his time as Uchiha Sasuke would not allow him to remain as he was. As such he'd been pushing himself in his training in ways that others had never seen from him before and was now a rather regular face within the training grounds often seen sparring with the Lady Sif, the Warriors Three or even his sister Aldrif. He'd only had the one session with Thor, and they'd been banned from repeating it while on Asgard.

Unfortunately he'd been forced to place his training on hold as he was now forced to act as an ambassador in the alliance talks with Olympus. Along with him was Mimir Bolthornson known as 'The Far-Seeing', The All-Knowing and the All-Wise though most simply as Mimir the Asgardian God of Wisdom. He was considered amongst the wisest of all of the gods in any pantheon and as such was Odin's top advisor. He was also Odin's maternal uncle and had been in charge of Odin's education as a youth as well as that of Odin's children. He had once been a decapitated head, a result from the Aesir/Vanir War but that had been fixed by one of Midgard's former Sorcerer Supremes quite some time ago as payment for a debt to Odin. With his full body he was a tall man and stood over seven feet in height though he tended to slouch forward due to his age. His head was shaved bald allowing wrinkles to be seen with a pair of horns atop his head, a full beard and glowing golden eyes.

At the moment the two could be found inside of the Throne Room on Olympus surrounded by all of the Major Olympians which included the council members along with Hestia and Hades who were not members of the Olympian council. They had been in negotiations for weeks a process that had been expedited by the knowledge of growing threats on both ends. Thankfully with both Athena and Mimir working on it terms had been able to be made swiftly so that an alliance would be beneficial to both parties. There had been a few bumps in the road when Mimir showed his knowledge exceeded the Nine Realms of Asgard but it had shown his title of Smartest Man Alive was quite accurate.

There had also been more than a few dirty looks thrown at Zeus in that time but in the end everything seemed to be working out. Loki could currently be seen massaging the bridge of his nose as Mimir and Aphrodite had just worked together to con him into taking a bride of his own, that wouldn't happen for a few years yet as the girl was apparently not yet ready. Aphrodite hadn't even had the decency to give him her name only that she would be perfect for him, that at least had been a freebie on her part and not actually an integral part of the alliance.

"Since you are doing this for Prince Loki I suppose it is only fair that I return the favor." Said Mimir catching the rooms attention.

"I hear you all have been searching for The Lost Olympian." Said Mimir

"You know of them?" questioned Hera in surprise.

"Aye, I know him quite well. What I can say is you won't find him in this modern world of yours. He has been asleep for quite a while now." Said Mimir.

As he said this he traced a circle in the air before him causing what appeared to be a small portal of golden light to appear. Reaching his hand through the portal he withdrew it to reveal a duffle bag which he handed to Apollo.

"Before you can chase after him it would be wise for you to know his story. The mortals know it but we purposely hid it from the eyes of every god in every pantheon. However both the Norns and your Moirai have said he would be needed. As such I suggest that you all be present for these."

Accepting the bag Apollo took a moment to look inside of it before looking up with confused eyes.

"When you're ready to go come to Asgard and I will point you in the correct direction." Said Mimir looking pointedly at Artemis.

Saturday morning found Harry standing inside of the Chamber of Secrets along with the rest of his Mystic Arts class. Looking around he could see plenty of excited faces as this would be their first trip outside of the school. The previous week the NEWT level classes had taken the same trip and though they hadn't spoiled anything had all come back rather blown away. Looking to his right he could see Hermione practically vibrating in place as it was clear that she was quite eager for this experience. The dull grey robes they'd previously worn had recently been replaced by solid crimson robes of the same design.

"Good morning everyone." Came the voice of Professor Mordo as he appeared at the front of the room emerging from a swirling portal of energy.

After just over a year lessons under time compression they'd come to be used to their professors appearing in such a manner. Of course not everyone had made it this far in the class as several people had been removed early on. He had been surprised when Draco hadn't been one of them but these days the former Malfoy heir wasn't the same as he'd been the previous two years.

"Over the last year you all have done quite well in your training. So well in fact that we will now be moving on to the next stage of your training."

As he said this Professor Gordon began tracing a circle in the air before a large portal formed in front of them. Professor Wong was the first to step through it after which the students were ushered through followed by Professor Mordo with Professor Gordon last and closing the portal behind her. Stepping clear of the portal Harry found himself in a large foyer by the looks of it as when he turned he could see cars and people walking the streets, though none so much as even glanced in their direction.

"Welcome to the London Sanctum." Said Professor Mordo catching the attention of the room.

"As you all know the Masters of the Mystic Arts guard our world from threats outside of our dimension. To aid in that goal our founder the first Ancient One created the Sanctums. The Sanctums serve a number of purposes the most important of which is forming a barrier around the world that works to keep the residents of other dimensions from entering our own. As such the Sanctums are extremely well protected and to the outside world may as well not even exist." Said Professor Gordon

Following the Professor up the stairs the group of students soon found themselves on the third floor within what appeared to be a display room. All around the place were glass cases with items placed within them and even a few items and weapons that hung from the wall.

"What you see here are known as Relics, ancient magical artifacts that we have discovered and watched over. You will discover in time that some magic is too powerful to sustain so we imbue objects with it, allowing them to take the strain we cannot. All of them are quite powerful in their own rights and some even pre-date known human history. While they are usable you will discover that like wands they choose who they work with." Said Professor Gordon

As they were allowed to look around the room Harry found himself interested in quite a few of the objects. None of them called to him but he was still interested, he imagined it was similar to how people viewed things in museums. It was as they were approaching one case in particular that Hermione gasped. Inside the case rested what appeared to be an ornate gauntlet gleaming silver with gold highlights throughout with pointed claw-like fingertips. It looked to fit onto the right hand and covered everything from the hand up to the forearm with a red jewel embedded in the center of the hand and a blue one near the forearm area.

"It's called the Witchblade." Came the voice of Professor Mordo causing both of them to jump slightly.

"Why that name, I mean it's a gauntlet." Said Harry

"It's much more than that. It is amongst the oldest and most powerful artifacts we have. It is a sentient weapon wielded only by those it deems worthy. Its dormant form without a host is that of a gauntlet however it can become a partial or full body armor, it can also create weapons along with a host of other abilities." Said the Professor.

"Sounds a bit like your dads hammer." Said Ron as he made his way over with Neville.

"How powerful is this thing?" questioned Neville frowning.

"About as powerful as your father's hammer if a bit more adaptable."

"Hermione are you alright?" questioned Harry bringing the attention to the girl who was still staring at the gauntlet.

"I'm fine, it's just well its calling me. I can actually here its voice calling my name and asking me to put it on.

"Is that safe?' questioned Neville.

"Yes. From what we know a fair few of its previous bearers have stated it called them by name. I'm just surprised its willing to go to her so young" said the professor

"How many people have worn it?' questioned Harry

"I can't say the thing is older than our order. What I can say is that it appears throughout history worn by many prominent and some not so prominent people. Cleopatra, Anne Bonny, Joan of Arc and Morgan Le Fey have all worn it." Said Professor Mordo.

"Could that be why it's calling her, because of her being descended from Le Fey?" questioned Ron.

"It's possible. We do know that Morgan Le Fey was the most powerful of its bearers according to the last one." Said Mordo.

"What happened to the last person?" questioned Harry.

"The last bearer was in the 90's. She entrusted it to our care when she got pregnant." Said the Professor.

As he spoke the man placed his hand over the case orange light pouring out of his hand as a small magic circle formed from it. He twisted his hand a few times, like twisting a combination lock, before part of the display popped open in from of Hermione and the circle faded from view.

"Ms. Granger this is an immensely powerful artifact as such unlike most others who will have the option to drop our course you will be continuing on until I personally am satisfied with your level of ability. Am I understood."

"Yes sir." Said the girl.

Hermione was beaming at the news which none of her friends were honestly surprised about. Reaching into the case she withdrew the gauntlet and after a bit of nervous fidgeting placed it on her right hand. The gauntlet was clearly sized for an adult as it went much further than her forearm. However before anyone could even speak on this it began shifting first shrinking so that it fit her own arm becoming smaller and skinnier as a result. It had barely settled long enough for them to view it before it changed forms again only this time seemingly shrinking in on itself settling into the form of a bracelet with the large red jewel as the centerpiece.

"Okay that was freaky." Said Ron after a few moments.

"I trust that you all can keep this a secret." Said the Professor.

Harry blinked at that and looked around only just realizing they were the only ones in the room. That was weird as it wasn't like them to lose focus like that.

"I cast a subtle notice me not charm on the rest of the students for this area and silenced it so no one could hear us speak." Explained the Professor

Not long later found the group linking back up with the rest of their class as they continued their tour of the building. They were able to blend in as if they'd never been separated and no one was any wiser in that they hadn't been with them the entire time.

Once the kids were back with the rest of the class Professor Mordo split off once again. Withdrawing an object from his pocket and slipping it over a few fingers of his left hand he held up his right and rotated it a few times before a portal appeared in front of him which he quickly walked through allowing it to close behind him. When he appeared it was outside atop of the mountain he called home known as Kamar-Taj located in Kathmandu, Nepal. He was greeted to the sight of several trainees at work many of them adults though he passed through them without a word sparing only a nod to their instructor. He walked the halls with an ease born of familiarity before he found himself entering a large room that they used as a meditation chamber. In the center of the room he could see the current Head of the Order and as such the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Stephen Strange.

"Karl, welcome home." Stated the man motioning for him to join him.

"Stephen, I hope you haven't been using meditation as a substitute for sleep again." Said Mordo taking a place beside him.

"Just today, I was waiting for our meeting. Otherwise I'd have missed you." Said the man

"Very well, let's get started and you can rest."

"Fine. How is Hogwarts and your students?"

"Hogwarts is impressive and far more powerful than it has been recently. There were a number of issues with the wards that were recently corrected that have resulted in the place becoming incredibly powerful." Said Mordo.

"I thought as much. The Elders have no doubt added to those wards as well." Said Strange.

"They have indeed. Somehow they've made it so that no student can be killed on the grounds. Even decapitation wouldn't work." Said Mordo.

"Sounds like those rumors about Magic School were true then." Said Strange.

"Indeed. As for the students they are a surprising bunch. We have all the names we were looking for and as a bonus Draco Malfoy and Theodore Nott." Said Mordo.

"Excellent. With Nott and Malfoy under your care the odds of them becoming Death Eaters have been significantly lowered. Potter and his circle will need to be very well trained, when the Death Eaters move they'll be in the thick of it."

"I take it that's why you moved the Witchblade to the London Sanctum." Said Mordo.

"Indeed. As she is Ms. Granger has a phenomenal amount of potential just with her own internal magic. Giving her the Witchblade serves several purposes and will lead to its purification." Explained Strange.

"And that ring Ronald Weasley is wearing? I've only felt that kind of magic once before."

"It's the Amulet of Anubis, just in a different form. Mr. Weasley's personality left a lot to be desired that will help him find balance and make him a better person in the long run."

"Do you have anything else planned?" questioned Mordo.

"For Hogwarts, not for now. I have a few other more projects I need to handle." Said Strange causing Mordo to frown.

"What are you up to Stephen?" questioned the man.

"I'm still setting the board. The Avengers, Hogwarts, Asgard and Olympus are just parts you know this. As for the next phase..."

AN: That's it, chapter's done. Action will be coming soon I promise, I set this story up on the premise that Harry really only sees is first brush of trouble in October so that's why there hasn't been any action with him. The next chapter will have his first Quiddich game so you know what that means. Anyway for those of you who know about Witchblade it's going to be a little different due to Hermione's age and to fit into the MCU standard. Anyway thanks for reading and please review. Till next time, LATER.
