Prologue

December 31st, 2015

-Clock Tower,London-

Tohsaka Rin was in a dilemma. Twelve Years had passed since the Fifth Holy Grail War, and she had been living a happy married life along with her husband, Shirou Emiya, her sister Sakura, along with her own daughter, Ritsuka Emiya. She was the student of one of the last Magicians in the world and the oldest user of the second true magic, Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg. As someone known for crippling his students, Rin surviving under Zelretch's tutelage and coming back with both magic circuits and body fully functional earned her an enormous amount of respect. Her research toward the second true magic Kaleidoscope, the magic that allowed the user to peer into parallel worlds as well as interact with them, and reconstructing the jeweled sword of Zelretch was running along
smoothly. Life had been great for the last decade!

Well, up until now. With the growth of her ability to use Kaleidoscope, she gained the ability of clairvoyance, the version that could see into the future. And what she saw during her first use of clairvoyance, was a world of ashes. The entire scene was enveloped in flames, with not a single living thing or manmade structure in sight. The only things visible were sharp pointed structures reaching to the sky. Suddenly, eyes burst out of the side of the towers. They all turned, and stared at Rin.

The vision ended and Rin reflexively took a step back. She broke out in cold sweat on remembering what could only be described as a scene from a nightmare. And the one detail that worried her the most was this: the vision was only showing a scene from only at most a day into the future.

(Rin) "Goddammit!"

She muttered under her breath

(Rin)"How the hell did this happen?!"

She grabbed her bag, stuffed her research papers in, threw in the Jeweled sword copy on top, and proceeded to sprint out. She had to get home as soon as possible, and prepare for the worst.

-Emiya House-

It was the New Years in Japan, and the Emiya Household was rather noisy. Sakura and Shirou were both making food while the rest of the group of family and friends were waiting at the low table, chatting. Artoria Pendragon, better known as King Arthur despite being female rather than the male described in history, was playing around with a small red haired girl on one side of the table. This was Emiya Ritsuka, Shirou and Rin's daughter. Currently she is seven years old. As to how a historical figure was here, it was because King Arthur was what was known as a servant, a hero from the past who was summoned and contracted with a human, called a master, to fight to the death for the holy grail against other servants. However one thing led to another, and somehow almost every participant in the so-called Holy Grail War had ended up as friends, ending the fight without bloodshed, excluding a certain priest. And because of that the scene of many legendary figures could only be described as nonsensical.

Cu Chulainn, known as Ireland's child of light, Culann's hound and a legendary spearman wielding the cursed spear Gae Bolg was laughing while casually holding a can of beer. Sitting next to little Ritsuka was a beautiful purple haired bespectacled beauty reading a book. Who would have known that such a beautiful woman was the legendary monster of Greek mythology, known for being so ugly she could turn others to stone with a glance, Medusa. It should be noted that a heroic spirit could be summoned from different points of their lives, so this Medusa was from before she became known as the monster Medusa, and as such her appearance was that of a regular woman rather than her more famous monster counterpart. Behind Medusa stood a giant of a man, if you could even call someone so large a man. This was another legendary Greek figure, known for his strength: Heracles, or Hercules depending on which legend, summoned in an insane state. Somehow his master had done the, no pun intended, herculean feat of calming him down to the point that he was more like a near invincible guard dog than an insane berserker. And Lo and behold, his master, the 39 year old Ilya von Einzbern in all her mature glory, sat right next to Medusa. Or it would be if Ilya was not actually an artificial human, thus never aging, and having the appearance of a girl who was at most 13.

Shirou and Sakura announced that the food was ready, and everyone looked up expectedly. Suddenly, a loud slam echoed through the hallway, and a disgruntled Rin sprinted into the room.

(Ritsuka) " Mommy! Welcome back"

(Rin) " Hello Ritsuka! Everyone, we need to talk."

(Shirou) " Rin?! You said you wouldn't come back until tomorrow!"

(Rin) "Shirou this is urgent! We only have a couple minutes left and I need to hurry!"

(Rin) " Ilya, Sakura, I know this is sudden, but i need you to transplant both your magic circuits into Ritsuka. Shirou, take out Avalon and inplant it into her as well."

The urgency in her voice convinced the two women that something was terribly wrong. They both quickly placed their hands on little Ritsuka, who was happy to see her mother. All of a sudden, a pulse reverberated through her body, and she fell unconscious. Two glowing blue marks, the sign of the two mage's mage crests being transferred, appeared. Shirou stuck his hand on his chest, and out of his chest flew out a golden and blue scabbard. Avalon, the legendary scabbard of excalibur, Floated out. He then stuck it next to his daughter, where it disappeared into particles of light, flowing into his daughter's body. Rin grabbed the Jeweled sword from her bag, and sliced the air. A rift appeared from the place she sliced, and turning back she gave a hug to Ritsuka. She placed the bag along with the sword into an interdimensional pocket inside a locket, and hung it on Ritsuka's neck. Ritsuka opened her eyes a little and whispered for her mom.

(Ritsuka) " mommy…"

(Rin) " I'm sorry Ritsuka, I'm so sorry. All I can do right now is send you somewhere safe hopefully, and pray to whatever god still exists that we can meet again. "

She then pushed her into the rift and started crying as it closed. All the other servants stood dumbfounded at what had just transpired.

(Cu) " The hell just happened?"

Wiping the tears from her eyes, Rin replied,

(Rin) " The world is going to burn in a couple minutes. It's something I saw from the future. Had to save my daughter before it happened"

(Sakura) "What?! What's the Counter Force doing? It should be deploying a counter guardian to stop it!"

(Rin) "No idea. It's anyone's guess at this point"

(Heracles) " *growl*"

(Ilya) "but couldn't you have sent all of us through the portal?"

(Rin) " I can only sustain the rift for a few seconds. All we can do now is hope that she is safe."

Seconds after those words, the world started to burn, and within a few moments, no trace of humanity was left.

-Imaginary Number Space-

Ritsuka couldn't see anything. Or to put it more accurately, nothing was there to see. Darkness surrounded her, her body having the feeling of drifting aimlessly.

(Ritsuka) " Mommy?"

She called out.

(Ritsuka) "Daddy?"

She called out again.

(Ritsuka) "Aunt Artoria?"

She called out once more.

Again and again she called out every name she knew, but no one responded. Her eyes began to tear up, and she started crying. She cried and cried and cried, yet no response came. After some time she stopped, and fell asleep.

As she floated through this space, a light suddenly flashed next to her. As she woke up and rubbed her eyes, she glanced at the light, and saw...an enormous violet eye. The eye moved away, revealing the body of...something. The monster looked as if someone had decided to make a mockery of the female body, replacing its limbs and head with something straight out of a horror movie. Long silver hair flowed out of its scalp, and several horns sprouted out of the forehead. The mouth went until it's entire neck, and it's bright violet eyes had an x shaped pupil instead of regular circular ones. Two larger horns sprouted from it's shoulders, and it's arms were that of a beasts. Behind it tentacles could be seen, replacing what should have been its hind limbs. Anyone would have been deathly afraid of this abomination, but little Ritsuka strangely did not feel any fear. Ritsuka floated closer, and as she touched the monster's forehead, something blazed through her body.

Why

Why did you abandon me

I choose you over my husband

I nurtured and raised all of you

I loved all of you more than anything

I made all of you the reason for my existence

So why

WhywhywhywhywhywhywhyWhywhywhywhywhywhywhyWhywhywhywhywhywhywhyWhywhywhywhywhywhywhyWhywhywhywhywhywhywhyWhywhywhywhywhywhywhy

WHY DID ABANDON ME?!

Ritsuka screamed, the overwhelming amount of emotions burning into her mind. Tears poured out of her eyes, and when she opened them, gone were the orange colored irises. In their place, two glowing blue eyes replaced them. The monster opened its unnatural jaw, and… sung a lullaby. Ritsuka fell asleep once more, the emotions fading into the back of her mind. No dreams haunted her as she slept.

Ritsuka woke up with a jerk. The first thing she noticed was that the room she was in was not one she recognized. However, it seemed so familiar. As she looked to the side she saw something strange.

On the side was a photo of her, but not only her. Two unfamiliar older people stood behind her in the photo, with all of them smiling. Instinctively she identified the two as "mom" and "dad" which confused her because those two were clearly not her parents. However gradually, more and more memories seeped in, and her own name, yet not her own, appeared. Fujimaru Ritsuka, currently seven years old and from a completely non-magical family. She remembered doing things she had never done before, and she panicked. What were these memories? Something was wrong. Even at age seven she realized That. But being young meant less control of her emotions, and she began to tear up once more. A memory flashed into her mind. A scene of her father, Shirou Emiya using the only magecraft he knew. Apparently when she was just a toddler, him using it somehow calmed her down. Quietly she whispered,

(Ritsuka) "trace, on"

A small locket manifested in the air.

Indeed, while her father could only copy weapons and shields, she could copy anything as long as it was made by humans, or for humans, barring several exceptions. Inside the locket was a picture of her mom, dad, aunt Sakura, aunt Ilya, and all her friends.

She wrapped her hand around it, and reaching to her chest, found a necklace on her neck. A large red jewel was connected on a chain. Ritsuka had scene her mother using such jewels dozens of times, so she had a basic understanding on how to use it. She

Hello Ritsuka,

By the time you read this, you will be somewhere else. I doubt that we can see each other again, but know that I sent you away for your own safety. I have two things left to say. First, inside the jewel, all my research notes can be found, as well as the fundamentals for magecraft. Read it as you grow, because as a Tohsaka, you should keep up our mage legacy. But most of all, it is for your own safety. Second, live. Please don't worry about us, and do your best in this current life.

Love you,

Mom

Ritsuka couldn't process most of the message. Mostly because she couldn't read half of the message, which was a blunder on Rin's part, but she had clearly understood the last few sentences. And she intended to do what it said. Thus started Emiya Ritsuka's, now Fujimaru Ritsuka, life in this parallel world.
