Chapter 12
"I knew that dude wasn't gon stay dead, SHOCK!" Wrench said in fustration "Well we don't know for sure." Delgado spoke and Ace nodded in agreement "All we know is that his body is gone." Delgado continued "The terronians revered him. He wasn't just their ruler, he was their god." Courtney started "Maybe they just recovered his body to bury him." She continued and Delgado looked at the hotbot before returning his attention to Wrench. "Not likely." he spoke "Why are you in a robe?" Ace asked looking at Wrench.
"For your information holmes tonight was a night for me and Courtney." Wrench said "But she's a hotbot." Ace observed. "Dickhead." Courtney shot. "We're gonna do some digging, just be ready if we need you two. You can go back to whatever this is." Delgado said and he and Ace made their way out. Courtney walked over to Wrench and the two embraced for a hug. "It doesn't matter what they think Court. What matters is our connection." Wrench said and he rested his forehead against Courtney's.

Tiffany returned to Talwyn's residence with Vane in tow. Opening the door she was met by her fellow markazian. Arms crossed. "Where have you been?" Talwyn asked "Living life." Tiffany said and Talwyn grabbed Tiff before she could brush past her. Vane stepped up "PROTECTING THE CLIENT." he said and Tiff yanked her hand back. "Talwyn. Don't you ever touch me again." Tiff said and she let her accent slip. "What accent was that?" Talwyn raised an eyebrow. Tiff sighed "It's my natural accent." she spoke. "Where are you from?" Talwyn asked "What's with all the questions honey?" Tiff asked "Just like to know the girl who calls me "sista" A bit better." Talwyn said and Vane stepped closer "PROTECTING THE CLIENT." he said and Tiff looked at the security robot "I'm safe." Tiff said and Vane stepped back. "Stand by." She instructed and the robot nodded. Tiffany gestured for Talwyn to follow her into the room she was staying in. Talwyn noticed tech that was too advanced for this dimension. "I'm….i'm a dimension hopper. From a planet called Terronia. I tinker with tech, give it a little bit of a dangerous touch. Meet the peacemakers." Tiff explained, sliding her arms into a set of large bracelets, that wrapped around her forearms. They then glowed, before Tiff then sent a wave of energy from the weapons, almost like whips. She retracted them and disarmed.
"Transmitters, connects right to the part of your brain that processes sound once attached." Tiff explained and she placed it on Talwyn's arm before pressing a button on her arm tablet. She raised the tablet up to her mouth "Can you hear me?" She spoke into it, and despite speaking softly her voice rumbled in Talwyn's ear. Tiff then removed the transmitter and placed it back in a container. "Those are just a couple of the things I made." Tiff explained "Why do you have these? Dimension hoppers don't usually work on weapons or tools like that." Talwyn spoke "Cause i'm not just a dimension hopper Tal." Tiff said with a grin. "Tiff, stop dodging me and just give me the truth." Talwyn said "Tal, my life's story isn't important." Tiff walked up to Talwyn, and her tail slowly began to trace Talwyn's leg, drawing a look from the markazian.
"All you need to know. Is i'm your friend. And I wanna see you happy with Ratchet again." Tiff said and Talwyn looked at her. "Look, my intentions are good hun. I'm helping you with this. And doing my job until I have to go home. I don't have to you know. You did come to me…" Tiff grinned and Talwyn nodded. "I did…" She said "Exactly. Now go get some sleep." Tiff said pushing Talwyn out the room. Talwyn stood at the door for a moment in deep thought. She looked at Vane who was eyeing her. Talwyn then stepped away from the door, which Vane then blocked. Staring at the robot a little longer before heading upstairs to her room, Talwyn felt her trust in Tiffany start to diminish. While her intentions seemed good, she felt she still didn't know her fellow markazian, and that made her a tad uncomfortable.

Rivet woke up after falling asleep on the couch. She felt sick, she hated what she was being forced to do; destroy the one relationship that seemed like it would actually work. She sat up and rubbed her eyes "RISE AND SHINE RIVVY!" Tiff's voice blared in Rivet's ears. Rivet winced and covered her ears, though it was of no avail "Too loud? Sorry…" Tiff said in a clearly sarcastic tone. Suddenly there was a knock at the door Rivet looked up "What the hell was that?" Tiff questioned. "Riv? It's me…" It was Ratchet who was at the door. "Don't you dare answer that door!" Tiff said realizing who it was. Rivet stood up and began walking to the door. "You smooth things over with him, I swear to shock…." Tiff angrily said and disconnected.
Rivet raised an eyebrow at the sudden disconnection. She then went to open the door. Rivet opened the door and saw Ratchet who was standing in the doorway. "Figured you'd be here…can I come in?" Ratchet asked and Rivet slowly stepped back to allow Ratchet inside. "Rivet…." Ratchet said and the female made eye contact with him "I didn't place those calls." He spoke and Rivet looked at him. Just outside, Tiff and Vane had arrived via dimensional portal. With the former leaning against the door. The peacemaker weapons glowing to indicate they were online. Tiffany pressed a button on her arm tablet and her face was covered by a mask. "I did." Rivet explained and Ratchet's eyes widened. "Wait. Why?" he asked and Rivet shuffled away from him. "Rivet…you lied to me…." Ratchet said and he felt anger start to come over him.
"Ratch…" Rivet was cut off "No Riv, you lied. You hypocrite! You talk about if I lied to you, I've been nothing but honest with you then you go and do this for who knows why!" Ratchet was livid, after all the understanding he had did for Rivet, all he could see was this wrong she did. "I…" Rivet was cut off again. "What, you thought that I wanted Tal…more than you? So you figured you'd just hurry me up?" Ratchet asked "NO!" Rivet screamed "Then what?" Ratchet asked.
Just outside, Tiffany was still standing at the door, her weapons active and glowing. Vane standing close by. Tiff looked at Vane and shook her head. Ratchet awaited a response from Rivet but was met with silence. "You don't wanna tell me Rivet….fine. Be that way." Ratchet said activating the dimensionator "Ratchet. Wait." Rivet said "I'm over this Rivet…I've been nothing but honest with you…and now you can't be honest with me." Ratchet said and he left.
Rivet felt tears start to swell and she let herself cry, She balled up on the couch crying. The door flew open, and Tiffany entered with Vane, her weapons and mask deactivated and hidden. The markazian clapped slowly as she made her way to the crying lombax "Wow, I mean wow, You had that in you…." Tiff said and Rivet looked up at her "So, your relationship with Ratchet is on ice, how's it feel to have your heart ripped out and stepped on?" Tiffany asked and Rivet charged at her and tackled her. Right before Rivet could swing at Tiffany, Vane intervened "PROTECTING THE CLIENT." he spoke and he picked up Rivet and threw her across the room, the lombax crashing into a wall. "She tried to kill me!" Tiff said and Vane nodded
"PROTECTING THE CLIENT." he spoke and he picked up Rivet once more, nailing her with a punch. The female crashed into a nearby dresser, a pistol fell onto the floor which Rivet reached for, but Vane kicked it right out of her hand. Vane went to swing again, but Rivet hit the personal security machine with her metal fist and narrowly dodged another swing. Rivet's metal hand crashed into Vane, who in turn grabbed it and threw Rivet into another room, causing the female to crash through into a ceiling fan before Rivet and the fan crashed into a table. Vane had entered the room and picked up Rivet, and tossed her across the floor. The female struggled to stand, and instead opted to grab one of her hammers which was nearby. Slamming it into the knee of the security machine. Rivet finally made it to her feet and hit Vane again with the hammer. When she went for a third swing though, Vane grabbed the hammer and tossed it aside. Only to be met with a punch from Rivet's metal hand. Vane swung wildly and missed, and Rivet spun around nailing the machine with an elbow from her metal arm.
Rivet then went to punch Vane again, but the robot grabbed her and tossed her through a doorway, into the bathroom. Rivet crashed into the bathroom's tile walls and crumbled to the ground as Vane made his way into the bathroom. The room was small and tight and Rivet had nowhere left to run. She looked around quickly and used her metal arm to take up the tank lid of the toilet and shatter it against Vane's face. The robot crashed to the ground, but quickly got up. Rivet took the remaining shard of the tanklid and rammed it into Vane's throat, effectively deactivating the machine. Rivet stumbled out of the room, and was met with a shockwave from Tiffany's peacemaker weapon. She retracted the custom weapon, which effectively deactivated, and dangled harmlessly like normal bracelets.
"Aw….you…you killed Vane… That's too bad. But I kinda don't need him anymore." Tiff said and she wrapped her tail around Rivet's throat once more "The Mighty One, doesn't forget. And he always collects." Tiff said "Keeping the peace. Is worth any price." she said and she began choking the life out of Rivet. "If it were up to me…This would be the end of your life…" Tiff said as she watched Rivet's eyes become hazy and glazed from the choking. She was suffocating. Her grip was weakening. "But The Mighty Archon does not approve of Lombax murder. Just as long as they….suffer." Tiff said and just as Rivet's eyes began to close, she let her go. Rivet crashed to the floor seemingly lifelessly. Tiffany checked for a pulse, upon detecting one, she nodded and turned to leave.
"Bloodlust." A voice came over Tiffany's commlink. Tiffany grinned at the sound of the booming voice "The Peacemaker." It continued "Jakande says you have been making the lombaxes suffer…Good." The voice said and then it faded away. "Tiff, this is Jakande. As you can tell The Mighty Archon is back. He wishes for you to find his daughters now, and bring them home." Jakande said and Tiff nodded before saying "Consider it done." She then left, leaving a crushed and hurt Rivet in her wake.
