Reading What If

(A/N: I own nothing and what if just before Luffy and Pudding were saved from the slave ship, they and quite a few others were gathered together in a room to read a book? What book? Well. A book about the future of course!)
"Who are you all?!" A high pitched males voice demanded as soon as a bright flash of light that had blinded them for a while disappeared, showing a lot of big people near the little boy and the little girl he was standing in front of protectively.
"Is that Luffy?" Usopp asked staring at the little boy who blinked up at him curiously.
"How do you know my name?" Luffy asked curiously as he stared at a few of the people who were staring at him.
"Oh my god he's so cute like this." Nami said smiling slightly while Robin took the initiative to walk forward. Luffy immediately tensed and covered the girl with him protectively.
"Hello there Luffy-kun. My name is Nico Robin. I'm an archeologist and historian. A few of us know you cause we know you in the future believe it or not. We're nakama." Robin said smiling softly at Luffy and stopping as soon as she saw how tense he had gotten.
"Nakama?" Luffy asked his eyes widening in surprise.
"Luffy!" That was all the warning Luffy had before he was yanked up by a dark haired shirtless man in with a cowboy hat on his head who grinned widely.
"Ace-nii?" Luffy asked wide eyed and then beamed brightly as he hugged the man's neck.
"Ace-nii! You got really big!" Luffy said laughing happily as his brother nuzzled him while the other taller people were moving over warily.
"Mama!" The girl behind Luffy said beaming brightly as she ran over to cling to the tallest womans leg, making the womans face soften.
"Pudding. Are you alright baby girl?" Big Mom asked gently lifting her daughter in one hand to inspect her for injuries.
"Mhm! Luffy-kun protected me from the bad guys!" The girl, Pudding, said pointing at Luffy happily while Luffy chirped as he looked up at hearing his name.
"The kid protected you from slave traders? But he's tiny." Katakuri said staring at Luffy who was looking at the Charlotte family with wide starry eyes.
"They were saying bad things about her like the bandit said about Makino once. I wasn't gonna let those wimps keep talking about her like that." Luffy said with a grin that looked rather sinister with the way his eyes narrowed.
His crew just started laughing or chuckling.
"Leave it to the captain huh?" Sanji asked snickering even as he lit up a cigarette.
"Of course! He's the Suuu-per Captain! I wouldn't expect anything less from him!" Franky said laughing.
"Beating up slave traders since he was tiny, that's the captain alright!" Zoro said chuckling a bit.
"If I can have everyone's attention." A voice called out over everything, making everyone tense and turn towards the voice. There was an androgynous person standing there wearing glasses with a small smirk on their face.
"Now I've gathered everyone here for a reason. I figured that you all would like to have some forewarning of what the future might hold, especially some certain events that are likely to take place. Now you've no doubt noticed that your devil fruit powers are not working at the moment, that's because of my power. You'll also notice that anyone who draws their weapon will have their gun and bullets rendered out of foam and their sword will become a cardboard tube. Since you'll likely be here for a while, there are plenty of rooms for everyone to sleep in and a kitchen that will stay stocked with food. All you have to do is think about what you want and it'll appear on a platter for you to eat or cook with." The person said motioning to some doors down on the left side of the room and then another room off to the right.
"Some of you are from the future, some are from the present. It should be rather obvious who all is from the future. HOWEVER! No one from the future is allowed to tell any of you about anything that happens in the future. No one likes a spoiler after all, just be patient and read it for yourself. There'll be a brief round of introductions for everyone and then the book will appear in someone's hands at random. Remember. No violence, no spoilers, and no pissing me off. Those won't end well for anyone no matter what you believe you're capable of doing." The person said and then as if to prove their point, they raised one hand and caught Kaido's fist with ease when the drunken dragon moved to attack.
"Don't test me Gyarados. I will land a quadruple effective hit on your ass and one shot you into next millennia." The person said narrowing their eyes behind their glasses before casually tossing the now confused and shocked Kaido backwards into a couch next to Yamato.
"Now everyone get comfortable…no fighting over the sunshine child either." The person said before they vanished in a small flash of light.
"It says something when this isn't even the strangest thing we've seen." Nami said sighing heavily after a small moment of silence between everyone, the Straw Hats from the future getting comfortable immediately on the couches.
They immediately started introducing themselves to everyone else, Luffy being passed around for hugs, before he was handed off to the Red Haired Pirates who introduced themselves all while Shanks kept Luffy pressed to his chest.
Then it moved to the army of Charlottes who introduced themselves one by one, and then to the Whitebeards where Ace stole his brother back and cooed over how cute he was.
Finally it was Kaido and Yamato's turn to introduce themselves and then it was quiet for a few seconds.
Then there was a small flash of light in front of Robin who raised an eyebrow but accepted the book and opened the first page.
"What if? Chapter One."
