Chapter 1: A Hero Falls
"Harry Potter!"
"How'd you do it?"
"I didn't."
"You just can't stand sharing the spotlight with someone else."
"Come on now, Harry, don't lie; it's obvious you cheated."
"You're not even seventeen yet."
"It's like you have some sort of death wish: well, I won't be part of it any longer, Harry."
Rage burned at Harry's heart as he raced out of Hogwarts, unable to stop, to look back or to let his mind go anywhere, but back over the evident truth of how quickly the worms turned on him. Even when the bleeding obvious was staring them in the face, they instead chose to believe that he was lying, cheating, stealing and even deceiving them.

On one hand, he could definitely understand Ron's stubborn-ass attitude and the hothead attitude that he carried with him, but to turn that around and claim that Harry wanted this…that he wanted to be in the spotlight when every normal wizard worth their wand should have realised by now that Harry loathed and detested his fame…
It was inconceivable.
And Hermione…
Now her betrayal stung Harry deeper than any wound, even that given to him by the Basilisk: she had always believed in him and done everything she had been able to do in order to help him stay strong.
But now, just because Harry couldn't even begin to explain how his name ended up somehow cheating Dumbledore's magic and, as a result, how it had emerged from that damn Goblet, suddenly this was too much for the insufferable know-it-all, who actually made it sound like Harry wanted her and Ron to risk their lives with him.
Like he liked having his neck on the chopping block each and every damn year.

Unable to take their accusations or their one-sided beliefs, let alone their reluctance to listen to him when he tried to explain things – like his opinion didn't even matter to them – Harry left Gryffindor Tower behind.
He left the sycophantic backstabbers stewing in their own juices.
He left the Tournament's bullshit excuse for a name – Tri means three, you ignorant twats! But no, because it's me, famous Harry Potter, it makes sense for a Tournament that can only have three Champions to have FOUR.
He left Hogwarts, period, and he kept running, leaving them all as he ran into the Forbidden Forest, his steps so well-practiced and planned that he might as well have mapped out the route in his head.
Of course, nobody but him, and the most-trusted member of Harry's now miniscule-sized camp of true believers and allies, knew that he did know the route, and with one good reason.
A reason that brought him skidding to a halt as he looked around, his emerald-green eyes burning with tears of pain, fury and determination as he searched for his quarry.
After several minutes of looking, Harry let out a snort of disbelief before, drawing in a deep breath, he called out to the darkness around him.
"You were right! Do you hear me? You were right about them, about my future. About everything; I…I should have listened to you, but I didn't and now…now, I don't know what to do! I don't know which way to turn and I don't know if I can find the strength to survive this…not without your help!"
As he called out to the darkness, Harry spun around when he heard a low rustling sound, which, when he turned to its source, revealed itself to be a raven-haired lady with shoulder-length dark hair and eyes that burned with an ethereal, eerie shade of purest blue.
She was dressed in a full-length, forest-green dress, but no shoes, with an array of gems decorating the rings on her fingers, as well as a gold necklace that she wore around her pale, slender neck. The woman also wore a silver circlet atop her head, which shone in the light of the dark night, even as she sighed softly before she addressed the distraught, confused young man.
"I'm sorry, Harry…I did try and warn you…but I also told you that you would return to me, which must mean…"
"Yes," said Harry, moving towards the woman before he dropped to his knees, bowing his head before her as he told her, "I…I accept your deal."
"You remember my telling you there is no going back."
"I don't want to go back…not if it means being a weakened target whom they can toss aside when it suits them."
"And you accept…you embrace all that our deal implies?"
Bowing his head so low that his nose touched the floor of the Forest, Harry let out a stifled sob as he gasped out, "Yes…"
"Then, according to the terms of our deal, you freely, willingly and wholeheartedly, puns fully intended, give me your heart, Harry Potter, and, in return, I will give you power…is this what you're saying?"
"Yes, my Lady."
A thick, almost-pregnant silence followed Harry's words, before the woman smiled softly as she bent down, taking Harry's chin in one hand before she lifted his eyes to meet hers, never once losing her smile as she shook his head.
"Then rise, my little friend…a King bows to no-one, after all."
As Harry obeyed, rising up from the ground with a swift, but somewhat-clumsy movement, he sniffed softly before he looked up to the woman's pure blue-coloured eyes, his voice weak, but filled with no small amount of determination as he addressed her again. "So, how do I give you my heart, Lady Morgana? Is it going to hurt?"
"Of course not," replied the woman, Morgana, taking hold of Harry's shoulders before she smiled at him, even as she leaned in and kissed his forehead, earning a gasp from Harry, while the pale-skinned sorceress went on.
"After all, they do say your first time is always really special, Harry Potter…and I intend to make yours one you will never forget."
As Harry found himself swept up by waves of magic that were far greater than any and all others he might have experienced before that fated night, he was also aware of Morgana's voice whispering to him, filling him with a whole new form of strength, grace and power that seemed to rid him of the old Harry James Potter almost-completely.
And what took its place wasn't just a determined force who'd chosen his path.
Nor was it a sleeping dragon tickled, with the fire to make the world burn and remake it into whatever he wished.
No, what took Harry's place, as he was embraced, and subsequently gave himself to the presence of the Lady Morgana, was something…someone that could only be described in one word.
More what?
That remained to be seen, even as Morgana's words filled his ears…
"And soon, you shall become a force with power, superiority and greatness…one they will never forget either…"
So, a new adventure begins and, well, it looks like Harry's found himself choosing something that was inevitable, but how did he come to learn about this 'offer' in the first place?
Also, if he's giving his heart to…Morgana…what will that make him?
What sort of power will he gain from it and…hang on…you don't think Morgana is the Morgana, do you?
What could she hope to gain by having Harry give her his heart?
