AN: I'm back with chapter two, as before. Chapters 1 to chapter 6 are already written, i am just rediting them, making sure i don't have any errors etc.

I also received a follow and a review already!

Thanks LittleBoi for the kind review, glad you liked the first chapter!

Without further delay, let's begin!

"Evade!"

Crash!

"Good work Mera." Gedeon complimented the sea otter pokemon.

The Oshawott gave a large grin, only to get hit by a bunch of leaves and sent into a tree in a single sequence. Snivy walked up to Gedeon and smiled, putting her hands to her side.

"Really girls..." Gedeon couldn't help but get a sense of deja vu. "Good work you two."

"It's time, Susanoo." Zangoose readied itself, it's devastating claws ready to shred.

"Try to strike me with a Slash!" Zangoose showed hesitation at first but carried on its order, rushing in, it's claws glowed a blinding white. Gedeon gracefully moved his body to the side, causing Zangoose to blink as it fell forward.

"Don't just attack linearly, expand your range." Gedeon held an edge over most humans, that being, increased abilities. Smell, hearing, and sight. Zangoose didn't know what he was facing, but it felt like fighting a Seviper almost. A grin formulated on the Hoenn native, which was noticed by its trainer.

Gedeon was surprised that Zangoose was using a Quick Attack this time, however it was zigzagging, which gave the boy trouble for a moment, before he quickly went sky bound, avoiding the attack. The boy landed lightly onto the field, before he bumped into a tree.

"Did I just feel it...cry?" Gedeon rubbed the tree, looking it up and down intently.

"It is..." Gedeon fell over, the leaves on his back crunching under his weight. All his pokemon stopped to look at him with worry.

"I see it now. Why was I always different?" Gedeon looked at his pokemon with his hand to his face.

"Listen up guys..." All of Gedeon's pokemon lined up to await their possible orders.

"We need to get stronger..." Were his first words. "But I do not have a goal like any other trainer...and I'm not much of a kind person in general." A light but very mellow chuckle came from the young teenager shortly after.

"But I felt something...unbalanced when I bumped the tree. I heard voices, many of them!" Gedeon saw his pokemon tilt their heads curiously.

"I didn't get much from them...but I think what I can do in the meantime is stop people from trying to change what already is..." Gedeon looked up at the sky with a small smile, feeling a new goal brew.

"Striaton City? Pretty pleasing sight." Gedeon looked around at the rather small city. It was lavish and he felt a bit connected. Maybe the fact that nature is quite bustling here.

"From what I learned on the road...the gym leaders are actually all siblings. So I can pick which one to fight." Gedeon moved his head to look at the right, he saw two people wearing some weird getup.

And if he knew any better...weird getups equal shady business.

' I'll follow them...' Gedeon thought with narrowed eyes.

He was now in what seems to be an abandoned part of the city. He saw the shady duo run this way.

But for what?

Gedeon's ears suddenly twitched as he felt like he was being kicked.

"Why am I getting hurt? I bet it's those people!"

This time Gedeon heard a faint cry of a pokemon nearby. The boy snickered and walked up to a large hole in a wall. He peeked his head over and saw two people in a gray suit and...hat? Whatever it was, they looked stupid, especially with that giant symbol on their suit.

"Cmon! Spit out that mist!" The male went to kick the small tapir like pokemon from what Gedeon could tell. It had a rosy pattern on its pink body.

"You're gonna keep getting hurt if you don't spit it out!" The female said.

Gedeon watched from his position with his eyes now shining. The pokemon was a Munna from what his dex registered. It must've been sending him a signal for help. Well he was here. Guess he'll help the poor thing...right?

"Alright I ha-"

"Quick Attack!" Before the male could kick the Munna again, he was struck by a hard attack to his back, which caused him to fly into a brick wall.

The female couldn't register what was happening until she met the same fate as her partner.

"You know...I saw a lot of things but kicking a baby pokemon? You should be lucky I didn't tell my friend to strike with Slash."Gedeon approached with an unimpressed expression, as did Zangoose, who more or less looked ready to murder the duo.

"Gah...you brat! I'll-" The male was shut down by Gedeon himself, who punched the poor man unconscious.

"I don't necessarily hit women...so take your compatriot and leave...NOW!" Gedeon ended with a shout which caused the female to nod quickly and leave without taking the unconscious male.

"Tch." The new trainer looked at his partner with a grin who returned their own.

"Great work. You've gotten stronger." The Mongoose-like Pokemon nodded, keeping its stoic persona well visible but beneath it was happy about the praise.

"Mun..."

"You called me specifically when you could've asked anyone else...so I guess consider yourself lucky...but I feel you could've protected yourself." With a sigh Gedeon rubbed the Munna.

"Get in this healing ball...I'll take you with me if you need to be protected." Munna gave Gedeon a weak smile and nodded.

"With that over...I can finally challenge the gym leader." With a yawn Gedeon entered a restaurant, but why? Well the restaurant was the gym! That was pretty cool.

"Welcome! I assume you're here for a gym battle?" Gedeon nodded at the butler who smiled and pulled a lever.

Gedeon watched as the restaurant changed and curtains appeared in front of him.

"As you can see...you need to answer a few questions before challenging the gym."

"I see...let's begin." The butler nodded and walked in front of the new trainer.

"What type of typing is good against water?" Gedeon tilted his head. Were the questions gonna be this easy? Well this is a gym..the first gym for beginners.

"That'd be grass."

"Correct. Next...what is fire good against?"

"Also grass..."

"Precisely...final...what type is pansage?"

"Going by sage...grass?"

"Affirmative. Well then, you're ready to face the gym leader..."

"Well..."

"ME!" The butler threw off his outfit...somehow and out came a young teen around his age with vibrant green hair and a very professional attire.

"I see. So you're Cilan, the grass type gym leader?"

"That's correct, sorry the questions were a bit dull and flavorless, I needed to try out something new."

"No worries, that was pretty interesting. I'd say keep doing that." Gedeon complimented Cilan, causing him to smile brightly.

"I appreciate your kindness. Now enough talk! Let's get this battle up and going."

"Pansage it's time!" Cilan summoned Pansage, a simian, green-and-cream Pokémon. It has oval, black eyes, large ears with light green insides, and a tiny, black nose. There is a broccoli-like sprout atop its head. In the sprout's foliage are three yellow, tapered seed-like shapes.

"A grass type...then I'll use..." Gedeon threw his pokeball in the air and out came his Zangoose, who looked eager to fight.

"I have never seen that before...but I better be careful." Cilan and Gedeon both nodded.

"Pansage, strike with Seed Bomb!" The green simian pokemon shot large seeds from its foliage at the Hoenn native pokemon.

"Dodge to the right!" Zangoose complied and threw itself to the right. This caused the seeds to explode in its previous spot.

"Pansage, use Scratch!"

"Counter with Slash! "

"Rrr!" Zangoose grinned and went to strike the approaching simian pokemon. Pansage attacked first which was parried by the larger claws of Zangoose. Both pokemon continued their attacks but were evenly matched.

"Jump back and use Acrobatics!"

"Crap!" Gedeon watched as his strict Zangoose was bombarded by multiple hits faster than he could see. Zangoose was beginning to show signs of anger, which was good for Gedeon, that means he was ready to end this!

"I see now...!" Cilan spoke with his smile still present. "Time to dish out some more damage! Seed Bomb!"

"Avoid with Quick Attack! Use the momentum to connect a Slash!" Gedeon quickly called out. He watched as his Zangoose zoomed around, evading the exploding seeds. Zangoose appeared behind Pansage, ready to strike it.

"Quick thinking! I like your style. It's a bit of a sour taste but it still pleases the customer!" Cilan commended. "Pansage, use Acrobatics again!"

Pansage disappeared from view once again, dodging the attack from Zangoose. Gedeon snickered to himself as he was in a bind.

"Didn't wanna do this but use Thunder Wave!"

"What!" Zangoose smiled deviously and shot a weak jolt of electricity at Pansage. The Pansage was hit by the status effect and was covered in a column of electricity.

"It's time! Brick Break!" The Hoenn native pokemon gave a small cry as it put its right hand in a chop form and brought it down harshly at the grass type's head, making it slam onto the rocky stadium floor with a loud bang.

"Pansage!" Cilan cried out in worry. Gedeon scratched his head and took out a Sitrus berry.

"Try this!" Gedeon threw the fruit at Cilan who caught it and quickly fed the grass type. In an instant Pansage was on its feet.

"Gr…"

"Yeah you did well, you got pretty bruised up but you'll live." Gedeon chuckled, getting Zangoose to chortle lightly.

"I must say I didn't expect that at the end, but it seemed enough for you to win, it was an...interesting flavor I didn't expect to see added." Gedeon tilted his head before scratching his hair.

"It was on the spur of the moment. I normally would rush in...but you taught me more than that. So thank you." Gedeon said with a bow, receiving his first badge.

"Oh wow! Can't believe I won!" A cheerful voice exclaimed.

Gedeon was currently in a little resting area outside the city where trainers usually hang about. He himself was surprised to have won but knew it would get a lot harder from now on.

Gedeon couldn't help but look at the one who was happy about getting their badge. They were a female with long hair trapped within a cap, a white shirt that hugged her upper body well, a black jacket of sorts and jean short shorts...it made her butt look big to him.

Why did he think that? Well anyway. She had herself a Tepig. It looked strong enough to win and he was sure it held the type advantage, her victory was about 90%.

"Hey Susanoo, what's up?" The young teen noticed that Zangoose looked intently at the female trainer's Tepig. "I see now, you want to spar with it?"

"Rrr."

"Understood."

Gedeon sat up and walked towards the girl, who to his shock turned around to meet his gaze.

' She's different...she has a large fighting spirit...is that why Susanoo is acting like that? '

"Let me guess...you want to battle!"

"Well you're quick on the uptake." Gedeon tilted his head to the left.

"Well, I did see your battle and I kinda wanna see how good you're, I could tell that you weren't serious." The girl grinned quite smugly, it seems she was more than just good looking.

' Why did I think that again? '

"Fine let's get this one started."

"Right!"

"Alright Tepig! Let's give it all we got!"

"Pig!"

"I like the spirit, Susanoo, let's give it our best." Zangoose said nothing, only giving a nod.

"Tepig, let's start this off with a Flame Charge!"

"I see now! Susanoo, wait till it's close for a Brick Break!"

Tepig covered itself in an intense amount of flames and shot off like a rocket at the Cat Ferret pokemon. Zangoose leveled its right hand before sending it forward to counter the pig pokemon.

Gedeon noticed something and put a hand to his chin as Tepig jumped back.

"That's a tough one. Let's try Tackle!"

"Use Quick Attack!"

Zangoose struck Tepig's rear legs, causing Tepig to lose its footing and skid on the ground.

"Now use Slash!" Zangoose lunged forward at the recovering pig starter, it's left hand claw glowing bright.

"Ember!" Flames spewed from the nostrils of Tepig hitting Zangoose up close, however its claws still did its job in hitting it, causing it to break the ground below it.

Zangoose flipped and landed safely near Gedeon.

"That one..." The girl saw that her pokemon was down and sighed in defeat.

"I lose..."

"I see...that was very interesting as well." Gedeon watched as his Zangoose helped Tepig up, much to his surprise. "Don't tell me..." Gedeon watched as Tepig and Zangoose seemed to become friends quickly.

' He makes friends faster than me... ' Gedeon rolled his eyes but smiled. He was happy for his pokemon.

"You're definitely a lot stronger than I imagined...I'm surprised you're even a beginner."

"I'm kinda...a late bloomer I guess. But besides that, you're definitely not bad yourself, my name is Gedeon, you?" The girl smiled showing off her teeth.

"It's Hilda, I'm from Nuvema town! Nice to meet ya!" Gedeon nodded.

"Nice to meet you as well." Gedeon gave his signature bow, before looking back at Zangoose and Tepig.

"Well they became friends instantly." Hilda chuckled lightly.

"True, Zangoose is usually a bit more….distant but I guess even he needs a friend or two."

END!

This one was interesting to write, of course I changed up some things and I wanted to implement the game version of the gyms. Some I won't, some I will.

So we finally get to see Gedeon battle in this chapter and the introduction of Team Plasma and Hilda herself.

I may or may not do the sync move stuff in this story, I might have that for Gedeon since I don't like using megas and other gimmicks much so I think a Sync move will fit Gedeon's style. If you want, please let me know, if so I may add Lear into the story.

Bio for Zangoose right now.

Zangoose (M) - Normal Type

Moves - Quick Attack, Slash, Brick Break, Thunder Wave, Knock Off (Locked)

Let me know if you guys have any suggestions like a fake evolution or want to see Battle-Bond in the near future for Zangoose, or just keep him the way he is.

Sorry if the chapters have been short, I promise the next chapter will be longer. I currently finished all my work for university for the next few weeks so expect chapters to be uploaded quickly!

With that said, Stay safe and healthy.
