AN: Yo! I'm back with another chapter. The last chapter had several events, from Gedeon's new motivation to the battle with Gyarados which is still ensuing. I hope to give Tobias a much needed background and some character. Like I said, I feel writing characters that are linear and pretty much a mystery are fun to do. So I do hope this chapter is up to your liking. So let us begin!

-Start-

"DRAGON RUSH!" The loud voice of Gedeon cried.

Flygon cloaked itself in a veil of blue energy that shaped into a dragon with spiky wings and charged headstrong at the red Gyarados. The enraged pokemon roared and shot off a large stream of water, but Flygon pried through it with no trouble and bashed into Gyarados's head, however it pushed back, locking Flygon in a stalemate. However Floatzel appeared over Flygon, it's fins cloaked in white.

"RAZOR WIND!"

Another shout came from it's trainer. The grinning sea weasel like pokemon gave a slash like motion and red blades ripped the wind, striking into Gyarados, Flygon was successful in evading the attack, however Gyarados wasn't so lucky and shook back in pain. It's glowing purple eyes seemed to become much dimmer, almost as if it was powering down. It was only a matter of time before it could be captured.

"You mean to tell me you LOST THE GYARADOS! Do you not comprehend how viable that asset was!"

"Look, Verde, it's just a Gyarados."

"No, you look here, Loka. We can't lose these Calamity-eyed Pokemon. They're not just powered up, they unlock new abilities and powers which even we don't understand. A Calamity-eyed Gyarados can probably raze a whole region by itself." Verde elaborated feeling vexed at the current predicament.

"Hey, who cares if someone dies, all I care about is destruction. So losing it is of no worry to me! Anyway, what has the boss said? When is my next assignment!"

"Pfft, you're a dumbass." Verde let out a large huff, releasing his stress at Loka to fade in the process. "Your next assignment is to test a Calamity-eyed Garchomp against the champion, Cynthia. This'll help us see if we can control the likes of other pokemon in its class, like Salamence and Tyranitar."

"Hmph, sounds fun!"

"Yes, now get to the resort, It'll take you no longer an hour if you take your Sharpedo." Verde ordered.

"Got ya! Finally some fun! I get to kill the champion. Oh how this will be a breeze." Verde merely scoffed at the cloaked form of Loka. Verde hates this brat, but he only puts up with him because Loka is one of the generals of their group.

The Saigai.

A group solely focused on purifying the world through destruction. It was an odd method, but creation and destruction are just two sides of a coin. This was their dream, their goal.

Verde sat in a chair in his room, located in Snowpoint City. He had a well refined room, filled with old tribal-like accessories. The man took off his glasses to reveal emerald colored green eyes however his pupils were the shape of a diamond. It was a genetic trait.

"Hacking into the PL security is so easy. Do they really believe that no one would do this? Fools." Verde was looking into his computer with a straight face, his eyes moved side to side, scanning the files he was opening.

"I see, the previous Sinnoh champion was named Malo, he was quite vicious in battle and was also a policeman. He went missing over ten years ago. Interesting." Verde frowned however as he couldn't find any more information on Malo.

"Maybe they're not complete fools. However it seems when he disappeared, Sinnoh was at its weakest. Until dear little Cynthia showed up, she's not even from here. A complete Outcast." Verde disliked this a lot. It was evident in his disdainful voice.

"I'll need to dive deeper." Lifting his hands up, Verde cracked his fingers and grinned. "Let's get to hacking!"

...

Cyrus was sitting in his office looking through various artifacts of the lost ages. He needed to look for possible leads on how Hydreast can be stopped now, given that Susanoo no longer exists, it was up to the new age to deal with this old threat. It was honestly terrifying how persistent some things were, but Cyrus only could guess this was just the nature of all things. The adult was also struggling to see the need to help this world, this went against his very life ideology.

Or was this called hypocrisy?

"Cyrus….look at the news."

"Hm, what happened this time?" Cyrus asked as he turned his attention to Saturn.

"It's Gedeon, he's on the news."

Cyrus' eyes widened a bit and he quickly left his room to enter the living room, he looked at the TV and it was indeed Gedeon on the news, defending the ship to the resort from a red Gyarados, who's eyes stuck out the most to him.

"It's eyes, could it be the Hydreast at play here?" Saturn asked as he looked at the TV.

"Yes, I'm positive it is. This is more proof that I hope the PL takes into account." Cyrus said, although he somehow felt that wouldn't be the case.

"I'm sure they'll actually take this seriously….."

"Perhaps, but don't forget, until something happens to them, they won't take action, that's how humans are and will always be, Saturn." Cyrus said with his eyes closed. Saturn just frowned disapprovingly. What Cyrus said was true, but the young adult still had some hope for humans to make the right decisions here.

...

"It's getting weaker, we're at the final stretch now." Gedeon wiped his forehead, despite how cold it was, he was steaming hot as if he was in a sauna. Flygon was beginning to tire, as well as Floatzel. It seemed like the PL was late, leaving it up to Gedeon to finish this.

With another roar, the Gyarados' body began to fatten, which caused Gedeon to shiver, as if it was charging it's final attack, which would make sense, it was feeling the fatigue now.

"DRACO METEOR!" Gedeon swiped his hands as he ordered his next command. It was true that Flygon hadn't mastered this attack yet, but it was now or never! Flygon looked hesitant for a moment but it knew that this was it's time to shine.

Flygon's belly began to shine a gold aura, before the glow disappeared. The Gyarados released a burst of red energy, it wasn't a dragon type attack, it was pure energy of some sort. Flygon shot the strong dragon type attack straight towards the incoming attack instead of into the air. The golden ball of aura grew in size and clashed with the red blast of energy.

Gedeon's eyes widened as the two attacks imploded on each other, and a large explosion occurred that swallowed everything. All Gedeon saw before was white flash and then the confides darkness.

A day passed since then and the battle between Gedeon and the Gyarados spreaded across the entire region of Sinnoh. However Gedeon himself did not know this as he was now located in a hospital bed. Gedeon's eyes flickered, taking in everything around him.

"Back in another hospital bed, it seems I need to marry the hospital." Gedeon awoke, his voice was hoarse and his throat was itchy.

Gedeon looked at the ceiling, not moving his bed ridden body from the hospital bed. He was thinking of what happened after he was knocked out by that explosion. He didn't even know how he survived. He was sure he was gonna die then and there but maybe something else was at play.

'You're finally awake, eh? You were out cold for the past day. You're supposedly a hero now, even if you didn't wish to be one, you became one in the eyes of all those you saved on that ship.'

'I see, it's not unwelcome, however all I did was the right thing.' Gedeon replied back to the entity inhabiting his mind.

'Even though you were reckless, that recklessness saved lives, just accept some of the praise, kid.' Susanoo went mute again, leaving Gedeon to his thoughts.

"Accept praise? I guess so…" Gedeon said.

"Uh, who're you talking to?"

"Huh!" Gedeon's upper body flew upwards as he looked at the opening door. "Oh, It's you."

"You could at least say something else."

"Where are we, Looker?" Looker narrowed his eyes, feeling like Gedeon was leaving something out, but he didn't know what.

"We're in the isolated area of the resort." Gedeon once again flew but this time out of the bed.

"Well fuck, let me get ready."

"Wait, you shouldn't be moving…" Looker saw that Gedeon's injuries were completely healed, but that shouldn't be possible! He suffered broken ribs and the scar under his right eye repaired it's skin.

"I'm feeling alright, stop worrying about me, old man." Gedeon replied brashly, not feeling like taking orders from the International Policeman.

'He's fully healed? But how, that's not human at all….'

"What is it?" Gedeon walked back out the bathroom with his new set of clothes. The young adult wore a white shirt tucked into black pants. He wore a green scarf that was wrapped around his waist like a belt. His pokeballs were hanging on a sting that was connected to his pockets. To finish it off, he wore black boots with a green spot design.

"It's nothing. If you're honestly feeling well, we can go meet the champions, sadly the Elite Four members, or well, few attended."

"I assume one from each region?"

"Precisely. Let's walk over there now." Gedeon gave a nod.

Outside was rather nice, the weather was quite mild and felt just like the springtime, despite it being winter. Gedeon looked up ahead to see a lavish looking building that was most definitely the PL meeting area. The spot where he'll meet most of the strongest trainers. He was not in the best of mood however.

"Where's the Gyarados?" Gedeon asked.

"It's being held at the PL meeting, locked in-"

"LOCKED?" Looker didn't look at Gedeon as he shouted, he couldn't look at the young adult he asked for help. "Are you all fools! It wasn't the Gyarados' fault for behaving that way!" Ranted Gedeon, who's eyes glowed gold, which forced the nearby Pokemon to become active, which seemed to resonate due to his anger.

"I understand it wasn't, I tried to reason with Lance, but he felt it was too dangerous."

"Lance? So it looks like I really won't see eye to eye with that guy."

"What do you mean?" Looker asked, confused, he moved his head to look at Gedeon, only to see golden eyes of hatred.

"I did some studying up on the Champions to see who'll be the one that'll take what I have to say seriously. If it's Lance, I definitely won't come to terms with him." Gedeon answered, his eyes returned to their former color, which Looker noticed, but didn't mention.

"Don't be too hard, you gotta understand his point of view and his status as well. He's not just the Champion, but also a part of the G-Men."

"G-Men? Who're they?"

"They do missions undercover in every region stopping criminal organizations from the inside out." Looker answered, which got a snicker from Gedeon.

"Ha, A kid was able to stop Team Plasma from a madman who wanted to freeze the region and become the sole ruler of it. I don't think these G-Men are any special if that's what they do." Gedeon chuckled at how ludicrous everything sounded.

"A kid? Who?"

"Well not just one kid, but about three, Rosa, Hilda and…..the last one would like to remain classified, but you get it. If the G-Men were actually doing their jobs, then most of the world's problems wouldn't happen. Kids shouldn't be dealing with life threatening situations." Ranted the young adult.

Looker couldnt refute that, he also agreed that kids shouldn't be endangering themselves with adult issues or crime related actions.

"Sorry for lashing out on you, but detaining a Pokemon is no more than a human wrongly accused of a crime they didn't commit and now rotting behind bars."

"Don't worry about it, I understand that. So, what will you do about Lance?" Looker asked.

"If it comes down to it, I'll just beat him my own way." Was the immediate answer, which worried Looker a bit.

"Fair enough.

"So, any news from Looker?" A voice spoke out.

A group of people were sitting in a large room. It was a standard office, with large glass windows and a brown marble looking table and chairs.

"None yet, Cynthia. But I would've thought he'd be the first here."

In this room were few of the top trainers of each of their respective regions. The first was Lance, who was the champion of Johto and Kanto. The reason for Kanto was because of the disappearance of the previous champion. The second was Steven Stone, he's been the champion of Hoenn for only a year now. The next is Cynthia, who's been champion for an extremely long time. The next was Alder, who's the longest reigning champion, and finally Diantha, the Kalos champion.

Next would be there Elite Four members, For Johto and Kanto was Karen and Lorelei. For Hoenn, Drake. For Sinnoh it was Flint. For Unova, Caitlin, and for Kalos, Malva.

"I wonder who this person he's bringing is supposed to be." Steven asked, feeling a bit giddy. Steven wore a simple black like tuxedo outfit that had purple zigzag trimmings with a red tie, his hair was a teal shade of blue with matching colored eyes.

"Don't worry about it, he's a good kid." Alder pitched in with a grin, with Caitlin only yawning.

"Say Alder, you said he's also been researching stuff, what is it?" Steven asked curiously.

"Yes, He likes to research things related to the mystery of Legendary Pokemon and other things I feel he should tell you himself."

"I see, that is most interesting, legendary pokemon are a complete mystery still, and are rarely seen in one's lifetime." Steven said with a hand to his chin.

The other occupants were talking amongst different sorts of stuff. And not a moment sooner, Looker walked in, the door silently opened, Gedeon walked in shortly behind with a stoic expression, which contained his anger for Lance. Or well in general, at himself.

If he was stronger, he could've caught the Gyarados himself. He made it his vow to free it, and Looker had his back in this case.

Thankfully.

"Shall we start?" Looker spoke, coughing into his hand to gather everyone's attention.

Flashback

"It's midnight now, that cargo should be here."

A younger Gedeon breathed heavily under his mask, staring at the bay in front of him. Luka, a member of his unit, stood her ground, analyzing the area with no room for mistakes.

Luka had cream colored hair that fell down freely to the middle of her back, her eyes were charcoal black. She was rather short, about 5'2. .

"Boss, if I may..."

"Sure, what's up?"

"I'd like to inform you that I am a support type trainer, my ace pokemon is an Audino." Gedeon simply nodded.

This can work.

"That'll work, I can freely focus on offense while you back me up, I like it." Gedeon brought along his Krokorok.

Gedeon and Luka heard the sound of rustling, both looked down from their perch and took note that it was indeed, Team Plasma. Their getups were so ridiculously visible.

"Alright, I'll go first." Luka nodded and waited on standby.

Gedeon leapt down, landing rather softly on the grass. He followed suit behind the two grunts. Gedeon felt his nerves act up. He was starting to feel the adrenaline.

Was this fun to him?

It might be.

Gedeon traced the movements of the Plasma grunts and made a hand signal for Luka to stay. Taking one step forward, Gedeon made a lapse in judgement and peeked around the corner.

There it was.

The Devon Corps cargo in all its glory, a few shady men in black were seen conversing with the Plasma grunts. Gedeon narrowed his eyes on one that stood out, it had to be the one that Almina warned him to remove from the equation.

"Is everything in prime condition?"

"Of course. We like to please our customers after all. This order is large, we had to use the power of a certain Pokemon to conceal our presence."

"It is of no importance to me." The commander coldly remarked. "Handle the cargo...with absolute care, I will not tolerate no slip up."

"Yes ma'am!" The group of grunts began their labor, unknown to them they're gonna have a terrible night.

"STONE EDGE!" A deep and distorted voice bellowed, getting everyone on alert.

"Tch." The commander swiftly evaded the attack, however the two men were pelted. They instantly died upon the vicious ambush attack, shocking those present. Blood shot off like a fire hydrant in all areas.

"Show yourself!" The commander and grunts all released their pokemon, ready to annihilate the hidden foe.

"I'm right here." The voice rang again, however it sounded like it was coming from everywhere.

The lady commander turned around and saw a figure standing on top on a pillar, a mask covering their face.

"Bastard, who are you!" One grunt cursed with newfound anger.

"Call me Nightmare. I'll be the one taking this cargo." Nightmare introduced himself.

"I'm Amanda, the 2nd commander for Team Plasma. And as such, I'll destroy you here. Fool!" Amanda summoned a dangerous looking pokemon.

Nightmare looked with worry, this was a Haxorus. A large dirt green and yellow dragon type. It's torso is black as well as it's tail and thighs. What's scary about this pokemon however is it's axe like tusk, the color of black and red.

"Takes a fool to know a fool. Krokorok, use another Stone Edge!"

Amanda watched around her as her team was getting annihilated by the hidden pokemon. Her anger was rising and she decided to initiate her next move.

"Earthquake!" Haxorus bellowed a mighty roar and stomped viciously on the ground, everything began to shake violently, getting Nightmare to stumble a bit before getting caught by his Krokorok.

"I find this interesting, you're obviously out of your league." Amanda and Nightmare stared at each other hard.

"Funny you should say that, I actually have the upper hand now."

"What?"

"Heal Pulse!" Another voice spoke, however it was more monotone and feminine.

Amanda looked in shock as Krokorok healed as did her new adversary.

"Thanks L." Nightmare looked to the side to see his partner, Luka and her Audino. Amanda looked at Luka closely before seeing the Team Plasma logo.

"TRAITOR! WHAT'RE YOU DOING!" Amanda raged, only for Luka to blink with no remorse.

"I'm following my leader, Nightmare." Luka answered quickly and vaguely, just like how Nightmare liked it.

"Dammit! I won't fail!" Haxorus rushed in without a second thought, getting Krokorok to guard Audino.

"Krokorok, let's give them a Dragon Claw!" Krokorok grinned and rushed in, with its claws glowing an ethereal greenish blue.

"Outrage! Absolutely destroy, no, kill them! In the name of my father!" Amanda yelled her commands.

"Luka."

"I'm on it!" Luka turned around and took out a round device. She proceeded to throw it into the air, causing it to explode.

Krokorok and Haxorus exchanged blows, however the Haxorus proved stronger and overpowered Krokorok, slamming it into the ground.

Nightmare ordered for Krokorok to stand, telling him it would not become the strongest while getting looked down upon by its opponent, triggering it to suddenly explode in a blue veil with white like-stars.

Immediately after, the newly evolved Krookodile gave Haxorus a slash upwards, throwing it into a container.

"Great work, Krookodile." Krookodile was a more aggressive looking Krokorok. The Krookodile stared at his trainer before clamping it's teeth onto his head playfully.

"Haxorus, attack!" Amanda looked back to see more people appearing, all possessing the Team Plasma logo.

"Surrender, Amanda. Or die here." Nightmare suggested, giving Amanda two options. Her situation was dire. She hissed as she looked back at Nightmare who was being accompanied by Luka.

"You're all going to pay for this treachery."

"That's where you're wrong. Ghetsis promised us a world where pokemon and trainers can walk side by side...however looking now, that was a false belief. We're no more than petty thieves, well not anymore!" Nightmare said nothing as Luka began to speak.

"Fools! I'll have my revenge... Nightmare, you better be stronger next time. Our next battle will be to the death!" Amanda vanished, leaving her Haxorus behind.

"To the death? Sounds edgy." Nightmare looked at the abandoned Haxorus with a sad look.

"What should we do about the Haxorus?" Brad walked up to the right of Nightmare.

"Luka, take it. You'll need an attacker to help Audino."

"Is that wise, Gedeon? What about you?"

"Dile!" Krookodile gave a small growl.

"I have Krookodile here. I'll be fine." Nightmare replied with his right fist on Krookodile's chest.

"I understand. Sorry for being pushy on the matter." Luka bowed before departing to the fallen Haxorus.

"She's a bit..."

"Unique." Nightmare finished.

"I wouldn't say that but...I guess." Brad scratched his head with a sigh.

"Where do we send the Cargo?" Nightmare looked to see another one of his members, Angelica was her name. She possessed a unique set of cream colored eyes and short black hair.

"Have it sent back to our hideout, from there, Almina will come and take the shipment from our hands." Nightmare ordered and explained.

"So boss, what will you do now?" Brad asked, making sure the group is doing what they're assigned.

"I want to take a trip to Sinnoh."

"Really? Why there?"

"I just remembered an old friend, that is all." Nightmare turned around and walked away with Krookodile in tow.

He was finally here, in the presence of many who were the epitome of what it means to be strong, or adequate. Gedeon was sitting next to Caitlin, thankfully. He felt comfortable in her presence, so this was great.

Immediately upon entering, he felt Lance give him the cold shoulder, not that he cared about the champion, Lance was but someone who was just an obstacle.

Gedeon paid no mind to the current subject, which was just the daily regional check up. By that, this meant crime rates, financial status, architecture and some other things that didn't pique Gedeon's interest.

Malva did bring up a good point in the discussion, about how crime rates in Kalos were beginning to shoot up higher. It's been getting worse over the past ten years.

Ten Years!

This also meant Kalos was suffering from something similar to Sinnoh's predicament. Or could they be connected?

"Now, this is the main thing I want to bring up." Looker brought up a photo of a rock, which had the paintings of an 8 headed serpent, or more towards a hydra like monster. It had purple paint as it's eyes and a white body with stripes of sorts.

"It looks unreal." Steven pitched in, taking a closer inspection of the photo. "Is this some sort of ancient pokemon?"

"It's resurfaced." Looker answered. "This is the same beast that took the famous trainer, Susanoo to take down, however it seemed to have been revived."

"I always thought Susanoo was a myth? You mean to tell me his story isn't just fiction?" Flint said as he was more curious on the subject.

'These brats show no respect!'

'Well, your story was more famous during the time of legends.' Gedeon said in his mind to Susanoo, who made a scoff at the claim.

"Of course not, you haven't read the story about the Age Of Legends. Supposedly throughout history a legendary pokemon would choose someone who met their criteria." Steven explained.

"Criteria?" Asked Malva.

"Yes." Steven said as he started to smile a bit. "Legendary Pokemon choose who they feel are worthy of giving them their power or aid. It's a recurring phenomenon that's still being researched on."

'He's smart, and correct.'

'Really?'

'Yes, Lugia saw me as worthy of its power, funny how a swordsman like myself became the trainer of storms instead of swords. '

'Interesting.' Gedeon muted his link with Susanoo as the current topic was beginning to pick up.

"So this ancient pokemon supposedly returned, and it's a high probability that it's trainer is hiding, plotting." Looker shifted the picture to show the state of the Gyarados during ti's rampage.

"Now, tell me. Do any currently recorded Pokemon have glowing purple eyes of aura like this?"

Gedeon knew any answer was completely false, but the question itself was rhetorical, because no one could really answer this. The young adult had the same expression as Caitlin, both were extremely bored here.

"Anyway, thanks to my apprentice here, I was able to get some decent and reliable proof."

Gedeon couldn't help but snort, low enough for only Caitlin to hear. It was a good cover up, since no one would believe that Alder had endorsed Gedeon to come, so having him be the apprentice was a much better and optimal way.

"A month ago, a rather gruesome and horrific scene happened that we stumbled upon. It was two young children and a pokemon, but what made this rather ominous was the wordings on the building walls, saying ``The Beast Returns.'' Looker showed the picture, which got a few to turn around in horror, although for Gedeon, this was nothing.

Steven and Drake were the same, their dispositions were more stoic now. Malva was a news reporter so this was nothing more than a big scoop for her. Lance looked a bit peeved, while Cynthia also shared the same expression.

Cynthia was beginning to feel the pressure now, she was too lenient about other things and now murders were happening in the region she was meant to be protecting.

Or was that all just to boost her ego? Has she done anything to keep the region safe? Unlike the champion before her, she was more or less laidback and interested in her own thing.

"Also, may I add, that we do have more than just this, but i feel we all should take a break." Looker and Co were conversing for about an hour straight. It was time for lunch as well.

"Caitlin, do you know where they're keeping the Gyarados?"

Gedeon and Caitlin decided to eat away from everyone, given their boorish attitude, they couldn't be around other people except for just them together. One thing Gedeon appreciated was the aura that Caitlin gave off, they instantly became friends and depended on one another often. Gedeon couldn't help but smile inwardly at how Caitlin used to explode randomly due to her psychic energy. Gedeon and a rather professional duke looking man named Darach would help her cool off.

Gedeon was always sent flying into a trash can.

The young adult was still able to help her, which was all he cared about.

"What're….you planning?" Caitlin asked slowly, or more in a tired tone. This was the usual tone for her. Supposedly this helped her.

"To raise it, it's my responsibility." Gedeon answered as he bit down on his burger.

"Is it?"

"What do ya mean?" Gedeon said, letting his slang take over a bit.

"I mean, is it truly your responsibility or are you saying that because you feel a similarity to it, like before?"

Gedeon continued to chew on his burger, staring at the ocean in deep thought. The silence made the grass bristle, the soothing tone was pleasing to the ears and the mood as well.

Gedeon didn't know if he felt responsible or if he's saying that just because. It wasn't his fault Gyarados was acting like that, but he felt responsible in the manner that he could've stopped it from being detained.

"Stop hitting me with headache-like questions." Gedeon said with a huff, chugging down on his drink. "Damn, I could go for a smoothie now."

"They're keeping it under Lance's authority. Although I doubt he'll willingly give it to you."

"He will, I made that Gyarados a promise." Gedeon said as his eyes had a fire lit in them. Caitlin merely yawned and tilted her head to the side.

"I'll lend you my aid."

"You don't need to…" Gedeon said nervously, knowing Caitlin could lose her status.

"Friends first over a title…." Caitlin said with a melodic smile appearing on her face.

"Heh, thanks…."

"So, this is where you two are?" Gedeon and Caitlin both deadpanned in sync at the voice.

"What's with those faces…" Looker said as he walked up to the duo.

"What is it, Looker?"

"Yes….Old Man….what is it?"

"Oh no….not you too…." Looker sulked as Caitlin also shrugged him off.

"Just get on with it, coach." Gedeon rushed.

"I feel lots of sarcasm in that…" Looker said. "But, it seems like we'll be getting support from everyone, our evidence has been solid so far and no signs of foul play either."

"As if I'd tamper with evidence. I know I do my stuff in secrecy but I'm not a total jackass." This time, Caitlin and Looker sulked in sync.

BOOM!

"What was that!" Looker quickly turned around, only to see smoke coming from the PL building.

"Arson? No, someone's here!" Gedeon rushed forward in a burst of speed, already leaving the other two behind.

"He's fast…" Looker said in awe.

"Faster….whenever his emotions are conflicted, it also gives him a boost in strength. Like a fighting psychic….come." Caitlin closed her eyes and used her powers on Looker, causing them to float towards the scene.

"Ha! This place isn't so hidden, luckily a little reconstruction is in order!" A crazed voice erupted, two figures appeared out of the shadows. One was a man in a cloak that covered his entire body, the other was a large land shark pokemon named Garchomp. However its eyes were glowing a deadly purple like the Gyarados.

"Stop right there!" The cloaked figure looked behind him at the grassy plain, only to see Lance with his Dragonite beside him.

"Oh the Johto League Champion!" The cloaked figure jumped down, with his Garchomp landing next to him with a loud thud. "I didn't expect this, but if you're here….that means the others are here! Amazing. I get to destroy all of you in one sitting."

"Tch, you're doing no such thing." The voice came from Cynthia who appeared, with the others shortly coming as well.

"Sadly, my mission was to defeat you, Cynthia the Sinnoh champion. So the rest of you are just extras right now."

Cynthia clicked her teeth in annoyance and released her Garchomp, who looked a bit shaken. Which Cynthia noticed.

"What's wrong?" Cynthia never saw her partner cower like it was now, Lance also began to notice it with his Dragonite.

"Oh! This is amazing! The mighty Garchomp, the ace of the champion, is also scared of mine. The beast cells seem to do more than just power up the pokemon."

Lance narrowed his eyes at the new information, just then Gedeon, Caitlin and Looker appeared.

"So, it's another Calamity-eyed Pokemon...and this one is a Garchomp." Looker said with gritted teeth. Gedeon looked at Cynthia's Garchomp and Lance's Dragonite and noticed they were shivering in fear.

"I see now, it also has the power to instill fear into other pokemon, should they not be infected with its cells." Gedeon conjured up, it was a theory for now.

"Ah! A smart one, and by the looks of it, an Alexander too. That's….actually bad." The cloaked man said slowly, which just confused everyone for a bit.

"Sobek, let's do this." Gedeon didn't make any effort to summon his Krookodile as it made its appearance itself.

Krookodile looked towards Garchomp who was also ready to fight and grinned.

"It's not inflicted with fear!" Lance said in shock.

"Watch, I'll show you how an Alexander handle their battles." Gedeon said as he also felt quite excited for the upcoming fight.

-End-

AN: Holy this chapter took long, but that is mainly my fault because i've been playing Pokemon Unite (Gengar should be illegal) and it's been enjoyable, and i've been reading the Pokemon Adventures manga again, Gen 1 has been so good. I finally got a good jist of Green's character enough to introduce her soon, which will be quite the intro.

I know the flashback in the chapter was out of place but I wanted to make it realistic on how someone can easily be doing one thing and suddenly reminisce about the past. And yes there will be more, bit by bit.

I wanted this chapter to focus more on the past about how Legendary Pokemon choose their trainers. Which I feel happens most times in actuality. I got that from how Morty wants Ho-Oh to appear before him. I find that a very interesting thing to his character and how he trains himself for the day it happens.

Gedeon and Lance will have that well deserved conversation next chapter, which will be quite the show.

Last thing, I know Darkrai is in the tags and hasn't been shown yet (Only seen in the first chapter) don't think I forget about him, i just want to see what they change about darkrai in the next Pokemon Journeys episode, which this chapter will be released on the same day. Journeys has been extremely lackluster to me, so I'm happy for Darkrai's return and Volkner's as well!

His time will come sooner than you think.

With that said, stay safe and healthy!
