President Snow's death shocked the nation. And the 86th Hunger Games will be different in his honour. But the head Gamemaker is hiding something she doesn't want the country to know. And the horrors of an almost quarter quell will shape these games into something like no other. (SYOT now closed)

Tributes are reaped among the children of Gamemakers, escorts, stylists and government officials, forced to assist the Games. Cinna, Snow and Effie's grandchildren and the son of a Gamemaker will be featured. But an unexpected choices will change the fate of the Games...

Katniss hasn't seen Peeta Mellark in one year, and who could blame her if she wasn't ready for him?

In another universe, Prim was never reaped for the 74th Hunger Games and with no victors from District 12, girls would be chosen at random. When Prim's name was called however, Katniss volunteered in her place and quickly added more fuel to the fire of the rebellion, catching not just the eye of the world, but one of Finnick Odair's.

Katniss Everdeen has been captured by the Capitol after leading her loved ones through the forest arena that Snow created between District 12 and 13. Peeta, & the other survivors are left behind in District 13 to try and pick up the pieces and find a way to get her back. What no one knows is a fate worse than death awaits those who defy the Capitol. *Trigger warning, torture, etc

The Victors are all killed. One year passes with no retaliation. And then it begins once again. The 76th Hunger Games and onward. Survival. Death. Blood.

They say home is where the heart is what if your heart has been crushed to teeny tiny pieces to a point of which you don't know where home is anymore. How would you like it if you sacrificed everything for a family only for them to end up hating you, detesting you to survive? Willow is a survivor, she had to do what she did during the capitol, things she's proud and not proud of.

The day after aging out of the Reaping, Katniss crosses paths with Peeta. She thanks him for the bread and to her surprise a tentative friendship begins. I have chapters 1-22 complete and will be finishing up the rest of them soon, but I'm only going to move the chapters over here a few at a time. Thanks for reading.

As the 74th Hunger Games approach, the idea of a free Panem is mere wishful thinking, but there are some who wonder how a country can recover from so many years of brutal dictatorship.
