Chapter 671.

"The new Luna Loud."

(September 6, the Loud House.)

Day time, and school doesn't start soon for those within the house, but they are handling with something else and that something else is the change from another sister, and this sister is Luna Loud.

The teen goes into the bedroom, which she now will continue to share with her brother, and she places down the case of her violin and inside is her violin, and then she looks to the closet and sees her clothes are in there. The new attire for herself and she sighs in relief.

'Well, Luna Loud. Change is coming, because if they wanted to change everything without even letting Linc know, then I'm gonna do the same. This is the best way for Lincoln to break away from depression and confused thoughts, this is my way to solve the damned idea that Leni made.'

'I will do what I can to make sure that I uphold my charge as the eldest in the house, and perform something Lori and Leni haven't done when they were here. Those two have college, well I got my own future and my own plans, and my plan now, is to bring back the Luna Loud from long ago.'

"Luna?" The teen turns around, and she sees Lincoln carrying her acoustic guitar case and he brings it towards her. "This is… Well, Sam dropped this off and she said she was gonna grab the other gear, the ones you want and need, right?"

Luna kneels down and she puts her acoustic guitar away and then she looks to her brother. "Lincoln, are you feeling alright?"

Lincoln nods. "Yeah, I am. It's just…. Luna, you… You changed and I just… I don't even…" He then touches her hand, and to him, it feels like memories of the past when he first saw her were coming back, he then looks towards Luna and he sees the warm smile on her face. "Luna?"

The teen smiles and chuckles. "Yeah, it's me little brother. Luna is back, again."

Hearing those words cause Lincoln to embrace her, and she too returns the hug and does what she can to calm him down. Luna knows that what they have been missing, has returned to undo future mistakes that could turn bad.

Luna continues to hug her brother and she can feel him sobbing into her clothing. "Everything's gonna be okay now, Lincoln. Luna's here, and she's not gonna make a mistake again, I promise that everything will be different and the life we all are going through will be far from what we all have expected."

While this goes on, Lucy sees this from the vents and she sheds some tears and smiles. 'Lincoln looks so happy, emotionally happy. How long has he been keeping those tears? Those emotions? It's almost like he's been waiting for a sign that a good change is coming.'

'Perhaps this side of Luna won't be so bad. She seems alright with me, and the way she took charge the other day is the best dang thing I have ever seen, but then comes the question…. The others, and school. A lot of people will wonder why Luna is changed, we can only hope nothing goes wrong.'

(Later.)

Luna walks out of the bedroom and she goes to the neighboring bedroom to check if she forgot something else, she does walk by Luan who watches her come in and Luan sees Luna grab the metal case and inside is her weapon and then she closes it.

Then Luna grabs her hairbrush that she forgot and she looks to herself in the mirror and she begins to brush her hair a bit. "Something on your mind, Luan?"

Luan doesn't move, or even speak. But then Luna looks towards her. "Luan, I get it. This is something you did not see coming, and you attempted to show that you didn't want to change the roommate plan Leni made, but don't go blaming yourself on something we both got caught in."

"We didn't make the plan, Leni did and she didn't think about how it would go down, surely she already knows what she has done, and you think this was your fault as well, heck I saw that it was my mistake too. But then I thought of a way to make things right, and to be brave…. Brave as someone from before."

Luan does recall, that Luna long ago was brave and didn't even get hindered when Lori became a bit demanding and bossy, and then Luna would do what she can to help the younger ones, and even tolerate the recklessness of a young Lynn Junior.

Luna then grabs her metal case. "Think about this, sis and perhaps the way will be clear. School is coming around the bend, and we have a lot of stuff to go through and one of them is trying to pass the exams and graduate, well for me to graduate."

Luna then walks out of the bedroom, but as she does so she manages to catch the football and then she looks towards Lynn and the sporty sister stops and looks towards her and sees the stern look on Luna. "Lynn, what the heck were you doing?"

"No, sis…. It's not like that…"

Luna crosses her arms. "Explain."

Lynn then tells her. "Okay, so I was going through some old stuff in my chest to possibly put away, and then I accidently tripped over one of my soccer balls and I accidently kicked the football and it bounced around the room and I tried to go after it, it's the truth Luna."

Luna looks around. "Anyone her clarify this to be true?"

Lucy comes out of the room. "Lynn is telling the truth, I was in the room with her sorting out my books, and I am surprised that ball didn't come at me."

Luna then tosses the football back to Lynn. "Alright, I guess that's a good explanation. Lynn, please be careful and close the door when sorting through your gear, got it?"

Lynn nods, and they watch as Luna goes into her room to rearrange everything she has which is not in the rock n' roll genre. The sisters are concerned about this and also confused, but they know that this is the Luna Loud she wants to deal with.

Luan on the other hand is concerned more. 'What if we face an old enemy who might bring harm? I mean, we do have the rich guy trying to get the eagle chicks. Can Luna still be the same tough gal as she was before?'

(Later.)

Luna and Lincoln are in the backyard, and the duo watch as Bullet and Patriot take to the skies and then Bullet flies back and lands on Luna's arm and she gives him a piece of fish and then Patriot does the same onto his own arm and he gives him a fish.

Luna then asks. "You should talk to Regina and Chastity. You're not upset anymore, right Lincoln?"

Lincoln thinks about this. "Yeah, I guess I'm not the very upset Lincoln, anymore. So, perhaps I will talk to them and see how they're doing. Everything is just… This is the best change, and just when things went bad."

Luna then let's Bullet fly and Patriot also flies off. "Lincoln, we lost so much time since that day when I changed from going to the concert, and I find it to be a blessing and a damned curse, and don't you worry that sweet little snowy head of yours, I'm here and I am not gonna let bad times mess with us."

"I made this change to help you, and this isn't just about the whole dumb ordeal that Leni made with her plans, I wanna make this change because as the new eldest in the house, you all need me. Lori and Leni won't be around, but I will be and I'll ensure nothing bad goes down in the family."

"But, I will always be there for you and Jordan, as promised I am gonna keep you two safe and away from any form of trouble, I got your back, and I always will Lincoln, you can believe that."

Lincoln smiles and he hugs Luna and she returns the embrace, but they don't know that the others are watching them.

Rita and Lynn Sr watch them from their bedroom window and they are happy to see Lincoln back to normal, but they feel bad about how this went down, and how it's gonna change so much.

Rita. 'After so much from what we did. Leni should've told me about her plan, but she didn't and everything almost went bad. Luna changing, this saved Lincoln from dark intentions from his depressed state. Seeing my son like that, was scary and it made me feel like I failed him again.'

Lynn Sr. 'Well, there goes my little British Rocker daughter, I feel like a fool for making her into something she is not and now she's changed on her own terms and with me not knowing. But this is all necessary for her to make, and it's not our choice. I wish I didn't send her to that concert.'

Luan and Lisa are at the window and watching this, and they too see that this change is both a good thing, but they don't know if it would be a bad thing.

Luan. 'Luna is looking responsible, heck she dealt with Lynn and why her football was around and almost hit her. She seems like she's become someone who can be able to help establish less chaos in this house and the family, and good to see Lincoln free from his dark mind.'

Lisa. 'Hmmm, seems as if Luna's choice to change will benefit to the family, she won't be loud with music and she seems more focused on being responsible and ensuring that we do not fall into chaos, and the first choice she made that was logical was making an alternate change to the roommate plan.'

'Leni is not the same, but she didn't know that some of her choices had some bad consequences. Another thing, now I can be able to calm down and setup some small stuff for future science chances, I am still young and so I shall deal with mathematical ordeals and tutoring my siblings in my room.'

The duo then depart from the hug and they can feel something is wrong. "Lincoln, trouble."

Lincoln nods. They then turn around and with their weapons hidden within their jackets, they attack the drones that belong to Richmund.

Luna shoots her Protector Rifle with shock rounds and the five drones in stealth are stunned and they malfunction and crash onto each other. Luna then ducks down and she shoots the drone that missed her, and then she grabs another one and shoots it at point blank range.

Lincoln ducks from an incoming drone and he whacks it with his bat Lucifer, and then he hits the other one. Lincoln rides one of the drones and he slams it with his nailed bat, and then he jumps off and watches as the drone crashes onto the ground.

Patriot and Bullet also dive down and they strike the two other drones coming, and then they slam them onto the ground allowing Lincoln to smash them.

They all take the moment to catch their breaths. "Well, looks like the rich guy is still coming around, but he wasn't coming for the eagle chicks and going for us."

Luna then knows why. "Because as long as we're around, the eagle chicks are safe. Obviously he was aiming for the folks who keep the eagle chicks safe from his clutches, we need to be sure that Jordan and the others are fine. They're also part of this."

Lincoln nods. "Got it." But then he has a text message. "Luna, check this out." Luna goes over and sees the message, and it's from Jordan.

Jordan. Linc, we faced some drones here, they were tough and had some mechanical arms, but we dealt with them with the help from advanced FutureTech security. We're gonna send the drones to the Allied outpost so Caroline Linnaeus can hack her way and find the source.

"Well, that's good to know" said Luna. "Sooner or later, he'll make a wrong move and end up getting what he deserves. We did good little brother, come on. Let's get something to eat." They head back into the house, along with the eagles.

But they don't know the drone that watches them from the tree and it zooms in on the house, and tries to see what goes on, but then Luna points her weapon from the window and she shoots the drone and it crashes down.

Lulu shows up and she cleans up all the dead drones. "Oh look, more scrap parts."

Luan and Lisa are surprised by what they saw. Now they can see, that Luna Loud is still the same tough and protective Luna Loud they knew who fought her way past the trouble, which means she can still be tough and strong against the odds.

A/N: This change of Luna is new, and yet a familiar side of the Luna they once knew, and what will happen when trouble sparks to attack? Will Luna be the protective as she always was? We're gonna have to find out, soon enough. Leave a review and tell me what you all think.
