Bella POV

Chapter 22

Aro and I walk at a humans pace to the throne room dreading what is to come. One way or another Edward would be punished, the question just was how would he be punished?

I knew it would hurt Carlisle to see his first son punished, but Aro also couldn't allow what he did to me, not just in the throne room but even before that, go unpunished.

When we arrive to the throne room everyone is already there waiting for us. When I look up to the dais I see that there is a fourth throne in between Aro and Marcus. I look at Aro confused.

"Is there a new ruler to the Voltui?"

Everyone around me just laughs though I don't understand why.

"My Beloved, that would be your throne. Didmye and Athenadora never wanted to rule beside us they always wanted a more simple life, but you my sweet Bella were made to rule. We would love to have you rule with us."

I look up to Marcus and Caius who are just beaming at me.

"I would love to rule beside all of you."

Aro guides me to my throne where Jasper and Peter take up their positions on either side of my throne. I take a deep breath preparing myself to come face to face with Edward again.

The throne room doors are being throne open and Edward is being dragged in by Felix and Demetri. He looks so angry, nothing like the calm reserved Edward I once knew.

"Young Cullen you know of the charges against you, what do you have to say for yourself."

Edward sneers at Aro, then he collects himself. "I am sorry Aro, I don't know what came over me I couldn't control myself. All I knew in that moment was that I needed to have Bella's blood for myself."

I don't need Jasper's gift to know that he is lying. Even so Jasper projects his mistrust of Edward to myself and Aro who discreetly nods in return.

"Be that as it may Edward you still hurt my Mate and a Queen of the Volturi." I hear Edward growl when Aro calls me his mate. When he looks up at me his eyes land directly on my mating mark and he starts to fight Felix and Demetri.

"Ah Ah Ah Edward I wouldn't do that if I were you." I can't help but smirk at my Mate's antics. Aro starts approaching Edward and stretches out his hand to read him.

This is when Edward starts to fight even harder. Felix and Demetri hold him tighter where he cant even move. Aro takes Edwards hand and after a few moments drops it with disgust.

"What did you see brother." Caius is slowly approaching Aro who is making is way over to me. I know whatever he saw was nothing good.

"Brothers my Mate it pains me to say that Edward was hoping to kidnap Isabella from us and rape her then drain her of all of her blood."

I am at that moment overcome with anger and blackout. When I finally come to all I can hear is Aro trying to calm me down.

"My Beloved it's okay none of us would've let that happen. Please release him."

When I look to where Edward last was all I see is him hovering in the air cracks all over his skin. What did I just do?
