Many thanks to those who read and reviewed this fic. I really appreciated it and this gave me inspiration to work on the next chapter, but first a brief explanation…

Last chapter I said that this fic would conclude once the chancellor and his cohorts are defeated, but I realized that Maizono is still here, and acts as Sonia's foil, hence I decided to make an impromptu final arc to explain Maizono's actions while being here at Novoselic ILLEGALLY…

Now then, with the chancellor and his allies are finally jailed, Naegi will spend his remaining days at Novoselic, and there Maizono is determined to SAVE him…so expect her to come up with wild ways to keep him and Sonia apart in this final story arc…

Ch. 53: Ienikaeru pureryūdo

As Naegi is being attended by the royal medics, Sonia secretly went into hiding as she summoned her men to stealthily investigate the royal maids, as she has a feeling that someone is targeting her, but for some reason Naegi became the recipient of the attacks meant for her, and she instructed her men to make sure that the culprit is unmasked as soon as possible.

The royal investigators nodded in acknowledgement.

"Yes, your highness!"

As the royal investigators left to begin their investigation, Sonia went to the reception where the medics are able to wake Naegi up, and there the SHSL Princess asked him if he is okay, which he nodded as he was given a seat, and there she asked him if he noticed anything out of the blue before being attacked by the bears.

Naegi said he did not noticed anything as everything is normal, though he did wonder why the two bears cosplaying as the Viking Raiders began targeting him, as there were no indications that something like that would happen.

"So you never noticed anything?"

"No. No warning or anything…"

"I see…"

"Still I wonder why I was targeted…"

"Perhaps it has something to do with me…"

"Eh?"

" Don't worry. This situation will be solved…"

"?"

Suddenly, they heard someone playing a wooden guitar, which sound melodic, and turning around, they saw a bear, which was the same one who appeared during Prince Charming's birthday party. The bear is cosplaying as WWE superstar Elias, and the bear is in his usual stoic manner while playing the guitar.

Sonia began to wonder how the bear came here without notice and then she stealthily noticed a disguised Maizono peering from a corner, and all of the sudden Elias made his move, as he swings his wooden guitar, but for some reason, he struck Naegi with the guitar, and the wooden instrument was smashed and got stuck on Naegi's head.

Sonia was surprised but then she saw the disguised Maizono face-palming in dismay as Elias took his leave. As the medics are checking on a dazed Naegi, the SHSL Princess summoned a few guards and had them follow her as they went to the hallway and there they find an unexpected sight.

There a disguised Maizono is berating the three bears, who are cosplaying as the Viking Raiders and Elias, for attacking Naegi instead of Sonia, and there she angrily told the bears that they won't receive the jar of honey for not agreeing to the arrangements she made, and the three bears are visibly pissed off.

"You heard me! No jar of honeys for you!"

"Grr…"

"You animals are really, really stupid!"

"Grr…"

As Maizono angrily slapped Elias, the bear was pissed off and took out another wooden guitar and attempted to smash her with it but the disguised SHSL Idol narrowly dodged it, but the bears cosplaying as the Viking Raiders caught her and with Erik holding her, Ivar is crackling his knuckles as he is ready to deliver a barrage of punches while Elias brought out another wooden guitar and is also ready to hit her.

Maizono stared wide-eyed and told the bears to stop and let her go, but they growled in anger for being screwed out of the deal they made with her.

"Wwwaaahhh! No!"

"Grr…"

"Let go of me, you furry freaks!"

"Grr…"

Suddenly, Sonia showed up and approached Maizono before yanking the wig off, and the SHSL Idol was flabbergasted at being busted, and the SHSL Princess told the bears that she will pay them the promised jars of honey if they promised to leave the castle.

Elias, Erik and Ivar glanced at each other before nodding, and Sonia gave them the jars of honey before being escorted by the zookeepers, and now Sonia told Maizono that she could be charged for her actions within Novoselic.

Maizono twitched her eyes as she realized that she was busted, and with the guards surrounding her, she could mount an attempt to make a getaway, and there Sonia asked why she would go this far, and a defiant Maizono said that she will not let anyone CLAIM Naegi, and Sonia stared in a calm but icy aura.

Sonia told Maizono that there is nothing going on between her and Naegi, but said that based on what the SHSL Idol did, Naegi would surely hate her, and even informed that if word of what Maizono did inside the castle leak onto the media, not only would she face expulsion from Hope's Peak Academy, but would also lose her fans in Japan due to the possible scandal she made.

Maizono stared wide-eyed as she got the gist: Sonia would expose her to the media, but then offered her a deal. If Maizono voluntarily leave Novoselic, Sonia would forget everything that happened and Naegi will not be told of this, which Maizono asked what Sonia would do with Naegi.

"Relax. He is an honored guest in our country."

"What?"

"He will be treated well as a guest."

"…"

"And do not worry. There will be no PERVERTED activities."

"…"

"And he will return to Tokyo in three days from now."

"…"

The SHSL Idol was skeptical when told that Naegi will continue as her guest and he will be leaving Novoselic in three days to complete his extended vacation stay, and Maizono, unwilling to lose her fans and to keep this incident from getting to the media, reluctantly accepted.

True to her word, Sonia did not file any charges and made it appear that a situation caused Maizono to get lost in Novoselic by accident and impromptu alibi, hence she was not charged for illegally entering Novoselic, and she boarded a plane bound for Tokyo.

Sonia's royal PR asked if she is sure about letting Maizono go like that, which she smirked and said that it is okay as she did not want Naegi to be upset and feel guilty, hence it is better to end this on a rather peaceful note.

The royal PR wondered why Sonia is smirking, having no idea what she is thinking, and it turns out that the SHSL Princess actually had PAYBACK in mind, as the scene shifts inside the airplane, which left Novoselic and is on international airspace, where the passengers were entertained as the bear, cosplaying as WWE superstar Elias, is playing with the wooden guitar in a melodic tone which made the passengers feel relaxed.

"Wow…"

"That bear is talented…"

"An amazing guitarist…"

"But…he's dressed up like a drifter…?"

"Eh?"

"Look at how that bear is dressed…"

"He's right…"

"Very strange…"

However, Elias is sitting next to Maizono, and she twitched her eyes as she is worried that the bear might be planning to get some payback on her for duping him, and she had to keep her cool in order not to provoke the bear.

Back at the Royal Palace, the party went well and by evening Naegi is inside the guest room as he had a rather exhausting day, as he meet and socialize with several foreign delegates and media after reminding him that he was hailed a hero for saving Novoselic, yet he exhibited an admirable humility saying that he didn't do anything at all, saying that it was Sonia who saved this country.

These words earned more admiration towards Naegi, and the king announced that Naegi will be given honorary citizenship in Novoselic and that the SHSL Luckster's family will also be welcomed should the Naegi family would want to apply in living here.

Naegi sighed as he felt humbled yet he is unsure if accepting it is a good idea as he wondered what his parents and Komaru would feel if the event comes where his family would be, depending on the circumstances, relocate at Novoselic, which he felt is unlikely given that the Naegi family is living contently in Tokyo.

By then Sonia came in and greeted him, asking if he enjoyed tonight's event, which he just nodded though he sagged a bit after recalling what happened earlier when assaulted by the bears, which Sonia had to change the subject as she doesn't' want him to find out that Maizono was the instigator. She then told him that he is due to leave in there days from now and said that her parents are WORKING SOMETHING OUT, which made Naegi wonder what the SHSL Princess meant.

"Huh? Working something out…?"

"Yes."

"Um…what do you mean…?"

"…"

"Sonia-san..."

"(smirking)…"

"?"

"…"

As Sonia smiled, she stood up and discreetly locked the door and approached him, where she kissed him passionately on the lips, which he was surprised but ended up accepting, and there the two teens moaned through the kiss.

"Mmm…"

Sonia had Naegi stood up before kissing him again, and in less than 90 seconds, both teens are naked, where she sat on the edge of the bed and started to caress his penis, which moments later it reached FULL STRENGTH, which is pointing a bit upward.

But this time Sonia is starting to catch wind of the situation…and succeeded, thus Maizono got busted and the SHSL Idol is forced to accept a deal that allowed her to safely leave Novoselic.

Now that this arc is finished, the final chapter is coming…but here a little STEAMY scene took place…but ended in a cliffhanger…
