This is the story of how I died *thunk* OW! Hey easy ok ok fine I won't quote Flynn Ryder for this intro... yeesh you get on my nerves Jocelyn. Anywho this story was inspired by R26's An Oddity through RWBY which is based on the concept of, what would happen if they were on Remnant, and so I decided to make one of my own. and if you like this, check out his afterwards.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are experiencing some engine trouble, we will need to head to a nearby airport to do some repairs. We apologize for the delay

Those words made my blood run cold. Because of two reasons, one of which is because I can see the engine out my left and it is LITERALLY ON FIRE and the other is the way the pilot said it so calmly which did nothing for my anxiety. By the way, hello my name is Justin, and yes, I am a little ball of anxiety.

"Don't worry babe, I'm sure Final Destination won't happen to us" Said my Mexican fiance Jocelyn in a joking way. She always dresses to impress, and this time she was wearing a shirt that she thinks looked similar to Yang's volume 1 outfit except without the sports bra and other stuff. And jeans with a belt. And underneath those beautiful almond eyes was a trickster and a knack for getting into trouble, boy the stories I could tell, but that's not what this is about. That's what my Twitter is for ( Justabossman12 for those interested).

"Darlin' you know how that does nothing to reassure me?" I fired back to her amusement.

She sighed and rolled her eyes at me. "Justin, Relax will you? It's not like the engine will explode-."

Her sentence interrupted by the sound of something exploding behind me which did not spark confidence in me. I then held onto her tightly as the rest of the plane was in a panic as the sound of tearing metal deafened the screams. I knew I was about to die in this 40 ton aluminum flying coffin. As the fuselage broke open and we were sucked out plummeting to our deaths from thousands of feet I gave her one last kiss before we passed out due to terminal velocity.

I then awoke to the sun in my eyes. Though my vision was blurred, and my head hurt like hell, as I looked around to see... trees? And bushes? Hold on I swear we were over a mountain, not a forest. I got up and dusted my red Guess jacket given to me by my soon-to-be uncle in-law, and continued dusting my blackened jeans and shirt. Then adjusted my laptop bag that seemed to have made it with me. I looked into it making sure my laptop wasn't broken. Thank god, it wasn't. I then checked to see if there was any sign of a wreckage, there was none, I pulled my phone out of my pocket to see if it had any battery and I saw something familiar. My Moto Z2 was replaced by a holographic looking phone, a scroll "Wait when did I-?". My thoughts were interrupted by a familiar sound of seemingly gunfire.

Hold on, I think that sounded like… no it can't be… could it? I then heard a roar behind me, I turned quickly to see a blackened bear that seemed to have a skull mask. Yep, I think I know where I am. God I hope that they're nearby. I pointed behind the Ursa. "Hey look, it's a distraction!" I yelled to which the Ursa turned around and I ran like Forrest Gump. I don't know how that worked but I guess anime logic or something.

"So if I am where I think I am, then I should be- oof!" I ran into a tree, and my glasses forming a small crack that will bug me now, while thinking out loud to see a familiar blonde haired blue eyed boy pinned by the hood by a red spear. "Holy hell… So I am in RWBY." I mumbled as I stroked my growing beard.

Jaune yelled to me "Hey can you give me a hand? I would like to get down."

I then looked behind me to see Weiss dragging Ruby away in which I made a split decision "Sorry dude, gotta run." I said running to where I figured the relics were.

"Gotta get to those relics so that I won't look too out of place. I don't even have a weapon. I swear to whatever god brought me here without giving me at least something to defend myself with-" My own train of thought was interrupted by running into another familiar blonde

"Hey watch it!" She yelled still standing while I was on my butt.

Yeesh her head is hard… ow

"Were you the one screaming?" the girl clad in black and white asked

"No, that was Vomit Boy" I said getting up rubbing my head to which we all heard the screech of a Nevermore. "And like that, I'm gone" I said grabbing a black Rook piece and getting out as fast as my legs could take me despite Yang's protests.

I don't think I've run this fast since middle school when I was racing my best friend. God I need to work out more. Maybe cut back on the junk too, even though my metabolism lets me eat anything I want without getting fat. What am I thinking now is not the time to be thinking about any of that! I need to GTFO before the Nevermore and Deathstalker come!

[A few hours later]

Oh boy, the ceremony, god this was quicker in the show. Hell I could barely make it through one of my friends Eagle Scout ceremony without falling asleep. Oh look CDNL is next which means it's about to be wrapped up.

"...From this day forward You will work together as Team CDNL lead by Cardin Winchester" Ozpin announced to an applause "Jaune Arc, Pyrrha Nikos, Lie Ren, and Nora Valkyrie, The four of you retrieved the white Rook pieces. From this day forward, you will work together as team JNPR lead by Jaune Arc"

"Huh? Lead by…?" Jaune said confused to Pyrrah's smile. Yep, I can almost tell she has a crush. Oh look RWBY is next

"And finally: Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long, the four of you retrieved the white knight pieces, from this day forward you will work together as… Team RWBY led by Ruby Rose." Yang hugged Ruby exclaiming how proud she is.

"Now I would like to make a quick announcement. After looking through our files, it seems as though we have two extra students, whom have spent the night in the Emerald Forest" Ozpin said looking at the shadowy audience

… wait did he say TWO? I then remembered that I was traveling with my fiance. "Will Justin and Jocelyn please come up to the stage." Well with a voice like that, I can't exactly refuse. I made my way to the stage alongside my fiance who despite my best efforts to try to communicate nonverbally ignored me. We really should have worked on that.

"Um actually, Professor Ozpin we prefer going by different names" I whispered.

"Oh? What names do you go by then so we may… correct them?" He asked.

"Rose Quartz" Jocelyn said before I had a chance to speak. She always did prefer that name anyway even though I got it from Steven Universe… that's technically not copyright. Right? I mean if we're referring to the rock not the character I suppose.

"Hm… Alright ms Quartz. and to you?" He asked looking at me

"Achilles Vermilion" I said, a new life deserves a new name anyway. I will admit, that last name I was inspired by Phoenix/Night's OC Seraphina Vermillion. Check out his channel if you have the time, he's cool and has interesting theories. Shoutouts aside, Ozpin corrected my name and looked back at the both of us "Achilles Vermillion and Rose Quartz, unfortunately we do not have enough students to have you in the same team. So you will be sharing with some others. Achilles you will be with team RWBY and Rose will be with CRDL-."

"Hold on a moment, um Professor, I made eye contact with Jaune Arc first though, shouldn't I be on JNPR's team?" The old man chuckled "I appreciate your honesty, however you did not help him out of that tree when he asked and you made eye contact with Yang Xiao Long afterwards, so I believe that this was the most fair choice"

Jocelyn then looked at me then back to Ozpin "So is that why I'm in team CRDL?" She asked "Yes Miss Quartz. Now if you will join your respective teams I bid you all farewell and Good Night." He then exited and I tried to sneak away to have Yang grab me by the collar of my jacket "Nu-uh, you aren't getting away THIS time!" She said dragging me along with team RWBY.

Noted, everyone in this universe is strong enough to drag someone by the collar, especially me. I saw Cardin talking with Joc before we left the amphitheater. Something told me Cardin would either get kicked in his 'most valuable asset' or, for lack of a better term, She's going to assert her dominance. She's a tough girl, I know she'll make it through
