Miraculous Devilman: Kwami Corner
Author's Notes:
Dancecat25: Bonjour, beautiful readers. So, Aladar Caval and I are still in progress of coming up with the next cooldown chapter, so here's a mini chapter for you in the meantime. This one is just for fun and to take a small breather from the main plot.
Aladar Caval: enjoy some smaller and probably easier to read segments.

Mini Chapter
It was a weekend day in the city of Paris. Akuma activity had been down for a few days. The people are slightly tense, but take this as an opportunity to relax. At the Dupain-Ching bakery, on its roof, the ladybug kwami prepares a small table of food, for today, she is expecting guests.
"Let's see… macaroons, check. Croissants? Check. scones? Check. Cheese? check." Ticki checked all the food products off her mental list. "Looks like things are ready. Knowing Plagg, he'll probably want seconds afterwards."
"That's right, Sugarcube." Ticki turned to see the black cat kwami float by, a wedge of Camembert in his mitts and a fangy grin on his face.
"Seriously? You can't break away from Camembert for a few minutes?" Ticki questioned with an eye roll.
"No can do. She and I are practically inseparable now." He tossed the cheese wedge in the air and swallowed it in one gulp.
"I could say quite different of your partners." Mullo pops up, phasing through the roof floor.
Ticki smiled at the mouse kwami. Mullo gave a polite bow, and floated up to the table, "it's a pleasure to see you two again, especially under more peaceful circumstances."
"Indeed, it's good to meet again this way," Ticki replied, gesturing to the snacks on the table. "Please help yourself, before Plagg miraculously eats it all."
"Please, I have some self-control." Plagg commented back, while hungrily eyeing one of the scones.
Mullo eyes the treats, slowly floating over to them in a seeming daze before picking up a croissant. "This is new…" he took a bite, and his eyes sparkled. Mullo quickly gobbled the rest of it. "I should have gotten a partner years ago. I forgot how good the food was."
"If there is one thing the human world improved on, it's definitely food," Ticki said, giving the cat kwami a side glance. "Can't say the same about the rest."
"Hey, it's not my fault history repeats itself." Plagg defended himself. "You would think after all this time humans would smarten up, but they still remain idiots." He crossed his little arms as he added, "Especially Adrien. He's denser than the volcano of Pompeii. Even now when he has a girlfriend, he's still worshipping Ladybug like she's some sort of goddess." He swallowed a wedge of cheese in one bite before turning to face Mullo. "At least you're saved the frustration by having a wielder in a clear relationship."
Mullo stared blankly for a minute. "You mean he still hasn't given up? Then why would he decide to choose another partner? Maybe I did get the lucky draw." Mullo chuckles a bit before trying one of Ticki's scones. "Mmm."
Ticki sighs before biting into a macaroon. "I'm normally not one to judge, but Adrien's…persistence with my wielder is seriously unhealthy." Her face formed a frown as she continued, "It's honestly relieving to see Marinette let go of her obsession with him and start focusing on herself. With everything that's been happening to her in and out of costume, it's taken a toll on her physical and mental health." She turned again to the mouse kwami. "Good thing she has your wielder by her side during these unresolved issues with her friends."
Mullo nods, "Miki is very kind. She has a way of making friends with most everyone. I'm glad our wielders are getting along quickly. I had worried that Akira's…abrasiveness might have put that in jeopardy." He scratched his head nervously, then looked at the macaroons, picking a red one.
Ticki nodded. "Same here. I've had my suspicion held high on him since the first fight, but…when he comforted Marinette in a way that even I couldn't do, it certainly made him appear more trust-worthy." She scratched the side of her head and consumed the rest of her macaroon. "Despite the first encounter, he's been very helpful to us. It seems Adrien is warming up to him as well." She looks over at Plagg, who was attempting to shove a whole croissant in his mouth.
"Hmhm…" Plagg responded with his mouth full.
Ticki rolled her eyes. "You know you have to chew before swallowing."
Plagg managed to swallow the croissant before replying, "why bother? You only live once anyway."
"Except in your case, you somehow die and come back alive." Ticki pointed out in annoyance. "Be thankful Ladybug can undo all the damage you do, or you would have been toast ages ago."
"Oh lay it off, Sugarcube, it was the kid's recklessness that time." He waved a dismissive hand. "Honestly, with all the reckless stunts he's been pulling, it's no wonder Marinette is over him." He picked up a scone and, for Ticki's sake, took a large bite.
The ladybug kwami put her mitts on her hips with a sigh. "You are too carefree for your own good sometimes."
Mullo finishes his macaroon and rubs his belly. "At least you don't have to sleep next to that Ryo fellow." Mullo shudders. "He's always…thinking. Like he's plotting some big scheme. Not to mention, he's almost as crazy as Akira sometimes." He looks up at a cloud, "I do enjoy my new wielder, but I don't know how she lives with those two psychos sometimes."
Plagg put a mitt to his chin, as if pondering what the mouse kwami said. "I gotta admit, that blonde detective is smarter than anyone in this city." Plagg then rolled his eyes. "Though with how bad Adrien is at hiding things, it's a miracle that only he figured him out. If I didn't know any better, I would say he might have even discovered Hawkmoth's identity."
Ticki put a mitt to her chin. "He's definitely some force of nature. With how he discovered all of our wielders' identities, I wouldn't put it behind him to figure out who Hawkmoth is." A small smile formed on her face. "If he remains on our side, this information would actually be quite helpful."
"We can hope," Mullo chuckled.
Plagg grumbled under his breath. "Ugh, don't get started on hope. I'm nearly losing it with that kid. Speaking of which, I should probably head back before Adrien does anything stupid," he grabbed another wedge of cheese for the flight home before waving good-bye. "Later, you two."
Mullo waved back with a cheerful smile, before grabbing his own cheese. "This has been fun. Thanks for having me, Ticki."
"Anytime, Mullo." Ticki replied with a smile and wave. "Travel safely."
"Will do. Best of luck to you and your wielder." Mullo float away into the sky, waving before taking off.
Ticki watched until the mouse kwami was out of sight, then proceeded to clean up the remaining pastries of their meeting.
