It's been about a week since the news released the updates, Ino looked at her phone waiting for Sakura to call her back, she went over to her apartment but she never answered the door. Her phone just went straight to voicemail meaning she turned it off. Ino even went by the ramen shop she worked at they told her that she no longer worked there.

"I'm really worried about her Sasuke, she's not answering her phone and when I went over there she didn't even answer the door." Ino looked out the window of Sasuke's office rain pelleted, her arms were folded trying to hold herself together, "Her parents left her alone to carry the weight of they did, it's not fair. She had no part in it, so why is she the one being punished?"

Tears fell but Sasuke was there to wipe them away and comfort her, "We'll figure it out."

Sakura laid in her bed, she was fired from her job because the people complained about her working there, saying they didn't eat the food if she was there because it could be poisoned.

Ino called her everyday at least twice a day, texting her every hour it seemed like until she let het phone die, she wasn't in the mood to talk. She had enough money in savings to pay rent for another month or so but then she wouldn't have any money for food.

Lightening flashed, the thunder shook the building, she walked outside on the little balcony sat on the railing as the rain washed over her. It had been incredibly hot and of course the air conditioning went out, leaving them in an 90 degree apartment at the peak of the day. she watched the people below scurry out of the rain, the street was littered with colorful umbrella's, kids played in the puddles as their parents yelled at them to get out of the rain.

A little smiled appeared but it was gone as the wind picked up, the lightened flashed again this time brighter as the it struck something in the distance. Thunder clapped, covering her ear she walked back towards the door, the wind howled as it blew past her apartment, the windows rattled from the forces that nature was throwing. There was no basement, she was screwed if their was a tornado.

Finally plugging her phone in, it lit up with all the voicemails and texts from Ino, there were a few different unknown numbers that flashed across the screen. The world wouldn't stop if she disappeared but Ino's would. Ino love Sakura like a sister, it broke her heart to watch Ino walk away from her door, after she didn't answer. Her voice cracked as she left voicemail after voicemail on her phone, she never wanted to hurt Ino, she just didn't want to talk at that point in time.

I'm okay, I'm sorry I haven't been answering my phone, I just haven't really wanted to talk to anyone.

Throwing on a pair of shorts and a hoodie that was too big for her, she walked towards the kitchenette, the lights flicked and the windows continued to rattle, the wind howled again this time the lights went out. An alert popped up on her phone, there was a tornado watch for the next few hours in her area. Her phone lite up again but this time it was a text from Ino.

I Just wish you would have told me you didn't want to talk, I've been so worried, I think Naruto is on his way to check on you.

What?

I mentioned to Sasuke how you haven't been answering your phone and sent Naruto to check on you.

Why Naruto?

Naruto is the head of security for Sasuke's company, there's no one better than him when it come to protection.

She tossed her phone on the bed when there was a knock at the door, looking through the peephole, the hallway was empty. Her heart started to race, that meant that there was another letter of package at her door, the last box was full of dead rats, each letter was different.

Opening the door she could a red trail of blood leading down the hallway towards her neighbors door, "What the hell."

Stepping out, she followed the trail till it stopped in front of a now broken hallway window. Peeking over the edge all she could see was a thick sheet of rain, "Did someone really jump out of the window?"

It was a three story drop, not really enough to kill unless you land on your head but it could cause some damage.

She couldn't tell if it was red paint or blood on the floor, she could hear her neighbors fighting as she walked back to her apartment, closing the door behind her she sat on her bed and waited for the power to come back on.

There was another knock not long after she laid down, getting back up she walked towards the door slowly, she could see Naruto's blonde fluffy hair through the peep hole. Opening the door, he smiled at her and stepped inside.

"Did you know there's something all over the floor out there?" He closed the door and locked it behind, she simply nodded, the neighbors shouts got louder.

He watched as she sighed and flopped back down on the bed, pulling a pillow over her head to drown out the noise. She looked skinnier than the last time he saw her, her footsteps were sluggish, the state of her apartment was awful. Trash littered the ground, there was no power, the heat was almost unbearable and she was in a hoodie. Her eyes looked dead, the small one room apartment was a mess, clothes piled up, trash not being taken out and the dishes weren't done.

"Sakura?" She pulled her head out from underneath the pillow, the hope in her eyes was gone, Naruto stood in front of her in a five hundred dollar suit, his jacket wet from the from the rain, his white shirt was tight against his chest, the only thing that look odd was his boots.

"Hm?" She slowly stood up to avoid getting dizzy.

"Why do you live here?" Naruto was blunt and to the point, "Ino has offered to let you stay with her, why don't you pack a bag and I'll take you over there."

She shook her head, "I'm fine, the weather is bad tonight, it's usually not this bad. Plus I obviously need to clean the place up a little bit."

"I don't know if I can leave you here alone." Naruto looked at her, she stopped picking up her mess and looked at him.

"I've been here for over a year, I'm fine. I'm not a charity case, I don't need someone paying my bills or putting a roof over my head and I don't need someone checking up on me. I'm an adult, I can take care of myself."

"No one looks at you as a chairty case." He stepped closer, she laughed and turned away.

"Really then why is Ino pushing for me to live with her almost everyday, why else would you be here if people that I could take care of myself then you wouldn't be in my apartment, and Ino wouldn't be trying to pay my bills." She threw something in the hamper and walked towards the door, opening she looked at him with dead eyes, "I would like it if you left now, tell Ino that I'm fine."

He didn't fight or say anything else as he left, he handed her a little card with his number on it and walked out the door. Slamming it, she locked the door and the tears fell from her eyes as she started to cry. Her life was perfect a little over a year ago before her father's company went up in flames, her best friend was always there, they were always doing something together, she had food, a safe place to sleep and a quiet home. All the things she took for granted, they were stripped away from her in the matter of hours as the police raided her home and took her whole family into custody.

She lost her home, her car, and her scholarship to the best medical school in the region. Her parents left her to fend for herself as they fled the country, she didn't know where they were or even if they were alive, the packed up one night and left, they didn't even tell her goodbye.

"They left me to deal with their mess, how is that fair?" Sakura flicked the card across the room, she already had his number, but there was no reason for her to use it.

The storms carried on outside, the light never staying on for more than an hour, her phone was at fifty percent. She laid back on her bed, not moving as the windows rattled around her, the screams from her neighbors picking back up again, all she wanted to do was sleep but there was too much noise.

Her phone lit up, an unknown number again, ignoring the call they left a short message, she jumped up as the window broke from the pressure. Soon they all started to go, one by one the windows broken filling her apartment with broken glass and rain. Debris started to fly in, grabbing her bag she filled it with clothes and opening the door she ran down the hallway, flying down the stairs she left her apartment behind as she ran through the soaked forest.

The forest floor was slightly flooded, water coming up to her ankles as she ran towards a safe place, the bridge that she usually crossed was covered with fast moving water, stepping on the little bridge she moved slowly across careful to not fall in the water.

The wind whipped her wet pink hair around, some of it sticking to her face, her hoodie stuck to her body, she was soaked to the bone. She made it to Ino's house but the lights weren't on and no one answered the phone at the gate, running towards the only place left she go. She rounded the corner, slipping through the gate, she could see was light on.

Knocking on the door, she waited to see if he was going to answer. The rain fell even harder, hail started to fall not long after the rain picked up.

She knocked again and waited.
