They made it to the club, once inside Naruto walked for the VIP section, he was in a nice dress shirt, his sleeves were rolled up and the top few buttons were were undone, he lead Sakura through the club with one arm around her waist.
They made their way up the little stairs and Ino bounced up, "Yay, you're wearing the clothes i got you!"
Sakura laughed, "Yes, thank you so much."
The lights flashed, the music was loud but in that moment the two girls felt like the only two in the room, they laughed and danced the night away. The drinks kept coming, Sakura plopped down next to Naruto and wrapped her arms around him, he returned the hug.
"This is so much fun, thank you for bringing me out tonight." Sakura placed a quick kiss on his cheek before returning to the dance floor with Ino.
"They're having fun." Sasuke sipped from his glass.
"Wasn't that the point?" Naruto grinned ear to ear.
"You haven't been out since Hinata left." His face fell a little, he spent a long time with her and the wound was still fresh.
"Yeah, but something has to give." he looked out on the dance floor, Sakura's smile seemed brighter than the lights, "She left, and now I have a fresh start."
"So you wouldn't take her back?" Naruto gave him a dirty look.
"Hell no, why would I?" Naruto too a drink and shook his head, "She cheated on me twice and the last time was for a whole year. I want nothing to do with her."
"Well, don't look to happy because he she comes." He looked at the doorway and it was true, a low growl left his throat as she waltzed her way into his section.
Her pale eyes found him almost immediately, "Well, funny seeing you here."
Naruto didn't even look at her, he got up and walked passed her making his way towards the bar. Sakura spotted him, walking over she wrapped her arm around his and walked with him, she could tell he was upset about something. She looked back and spotted Hinata in the section talking to Sasuke, she looked back at Naruto and smiled softly.
"Are you okay?" He looked down, her green eyes full of concern and he smiled.
"I'm always okay with you around." He kissed her forehead and ordered hem both a new drink, she followed him back to the section and dragged Ino along with her.
"What the hell is she doing here?" Ino and Sakura kept her from getting close to Naruto.
"She was just leaving." Sasuke glared at the pale eyed girl, and laughed lightly.
"I didn't know you like taking out the trash." Hinata looked at Sakura while she said, before Sakura knew what she was doing she threw the freshly made drink in her face.
She walked over and grabbed her face, forcing Hinata to look at her, "You come over here again and I'll do more than throw a drink in your face."
"Go Sakura!" Ino laughed and cheered her on, Naruto pulled her away and made her sit down next to him.
"Don't encourage this." Sasuke pulled Ino away and she sat down next to Sakura and hugged her.
"I'm so prouddd of you!" Sakura smiled and looked at Hinata who looked at Naruto with a sad expression before leaving.
"Alright, I think that's enough excitment." He held his hand out to Sakura and Sasuke did the same with Ino, they parted ways with Sasuke carrying Ino towards the taxi.
They were seated next to each other in the taxi, she could tell that Naruto was still upset so she grabbed his hand and held it as they went home. He gave her hand a light squeeze and smiled before turning back to the window.
"I'm sorry." She looked down at her feet, they were sore from the heels she was wearing.
"For what?" He patted her head pulling her closer so she was tucked under his arm, he smelled so good.
"Causing a scene." She palmed her face thinking about what she did.
"You're fine, I just didn't expect to see her and what she did was so unlike her." He shook his head, "She didn't even look like the girl I remember."
"What do you mean?" she leaned into him a little more, the alcohol starting to take it's toll on the light weight.
"She didn't use to dress like that, she was always shy and and easy to get along with. She never use to dress like that either, it was weird seeing here and seeing her dressed like that, it was like a different person completely." He played with her hair, she melted into him more.
They arrived at his house, he helped her inside, she kicked off her shoes and made a beeline for her bed room. Taking off the tight clothes she switched into a pair of cotton shorts and the t-shirt he gave her the first night she was here, shuffling into the kitchen he was standing by the sink with his back to her.
She never really stopped to look at him until now, she walked up behind him and wrapped her arms around his waist. He was a handsome man, she's always thought he was cute but right now in the dim lights of the kitchen with a sad expression written all over his face; he looked perfect to her.
He slowly turned around and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her tighter to him he buried his face in her hair, he was two seconds from losing it but he was trying to hide it from her. She hugged him tighter, he pulled away first and cupped her face in his hands.
Her cheeks were red from the alcohol, he could get lost in her green eyes, he leaned down and kissed her softly. Abandoning all fear of rejection in that moment, her finally kissed her, she didn't push him away but kissed him back softly.
"I've been wanting to do that for awhile." She smiled, her cheeks even redder than before as he tilted her head up to make her look at him.
Unable to find the words she just started at him and nodded dumbly, he laughed softly as he walked away, unbuttoning his shirt as he walked. The white fabric slid effortlessly down his arms revealing another tattoo, a cross with what looked like dates. Her mind went blank as he looked over his shoulder and winked at her, she grabbed her phone as soon as he disappeared around the corner. Following him she shuffled her feet so she wouldn't fall, she waited a few minutes before knocking on the door.
It opened slowly, she looked down at the floor and played with her hair, nervously she asked "Can I stay in here with you tonight."
He didn't answer, she looked so small to him in that moment, grabbing her hand she lightly lead her in his room. Spinning her around he grabbed her hips and lifted her onto the bed, keeping her there for just a moment he kissed her again.
He pushed her shoulder so she would lay back, covering her up he climbed in on the other side of his massive California king bed. She was out before he even turned the light off, he laughed again and soon he was fast asleep too. Throughout the night the two found themselves entangled, he wrapped her in his arms keeping her safe even while they slept.
The sunlight creeped through the window, Naruto's eyes fluttered open the once sleeping girl was gone from his bed. Slightly panicked he made his way to the kitchen, she was standing in front of the stove a stack of pancakes on the plate beside her, the sound of eggs hitting the pan filled his ears as he walked over to her. Surprising her he wrapped his arms around her shoulders he kissed her cheek lightly.
"Good morning." She whispered smiling, "I hope you're hungry."
"I'm surprised your up." She turned around sure enough there were bags under her eyes and she didn't look like she felt well.
"I'm pretty hung over, I'm probably going to lay back down after this." She put the finished eggs on a plate and started to clean up the kitchen.
Grabbed her hips he turned her towards the bedrooms, "Go, I'll clean up."
She tried to protest but he wasn't having it, giving in she walked back to her room and flopped face down on the bed, turning the tv on the news was on.
"The trail runs cold as detectives have failed to locate the Haruno couple, the local police have also stopped their investigation and as of right now we can't get an official statement." she was shocked, her eyes glued to the tv, "We don't know what this means for the victims at this time, we wish them a speedy recovery and hope that one day soon, they get justice."
There was knock at the door, "Sakura, I know you don't feel well but Sasuke got us a window, we can get you into your house."
She nodded, jumping out of bed she changed into a pair of jeans and a simple t-shirt, there was no way she was going to let her parents get away with this, not after everything she's been through already.
"Let's go." Her stomach was in knots, she didn't know if it was because she was hung over or if she was nervous about returning home for the first time in over a year.
Either way, she was ready.
