Hello to whoever will read this. Originally this was supposed to be a small chapter, I don't know why it got this big. It's finally time to send for Tsunade. The village really need her medical abilities. Hope you enjoy.
"Is he dead?" a voice asked.
"If he's not I will kill him myself!" Another voice answered.
Naruto groggily opened his eyes. Immediately, the sun hit him with his merciless rays. He shifted and turned around to continue sleeping. Suddenly, He felt a boot hit him in the back and immediately after, a rush of air hitting his face. The sleepy teen opened his eyes once again, only for the image of an impending ground coming towards him. A full second pasted before he realized it wasn't the ground coming towards him. He was falling towards IT!
"What the Fuuuuuccc..." Naruto yell.
"Shakura?! What did you just do?" Shikamaru Nara anxiously asked. The pink haired girl gave him a sweet smile and answered with the sweetest voice she could.
"I just wake Naruto up." The lazy genius felt shivers throughout his body.
'Women... Too troublesome.'
"Come on Shikamaru, if he's smart he might even land on top of the Hokage Tower and save himself the walk." She gave him another smile and start walking down the mountain, Shikamaru following behind her.
"Why did you do that Shakura-chan?" An exhausted Naruto asked.
"You were sleeping and you have work to do, and a hospital to help." She answered with a straight face.
"But why did you threw me off the mountain?! I could have been hurt!!" Naruto protested
"Are you hurt?" She asked with the same straight face.
"No... but that's besides the point. You don't do that to people!!!" He said
"I don't do that to people I don't know. It's only you. I know you can survive and even if you are hurt I will heal you, so no big deal." She finished her reasoning with a smile. Naruto hang his head in defeat.
Shikamaru didn't even bother continuing this. He placed a stack of papers in front of Naruto and he start leaving the room.
"More paperwork?! When will it end?!" The blond teen exclaimed.
"When you die. Probably not even then..." The Nara genius mocked.
"Don't joke with that stuff Shikamaru!" Naruto pointed a finger at his friend.
"What? Death?"
"No! Paperwork!!!"
"Enough!" Sakura yelled making both boys to look at her. She looked at Naruto, who gulped.
"You won't do any paperwork until you come with me to the Hospital area. You NEED to see how bad things really are." She stared at him. Her eyes dead serious, his only option was to agree and follow her.
"These are important documents for border patrols, taxations regulations and other equally important things as the Hospital." Shikamaru stepped forward gaining their attention.
"Very well. My village needs me." The young Hokage gave them a foxy grin and formed a familiar sing.
"Kage Bushin no Jutsu!"
Naruto and Sakura were walking towards the Hospital area, people watching them and greeting them.
"Boss!" A young voice echoed through the crowd. Naruto flinched and turned around. He was immediately tackled by Konohamaru.
"Kono... you are hurting me..." Naruto tried to say.
"What?! You can't handle a kid? Maybe I should take your position then..." The young Sarutobi threatened.
"Over... my dead... BODY!!!" Naruto powered through and pushed Konohamaru away. A huge grin on his face.
"You didn't really believed that did you?" Naruto said.
"Of course not Boss. You are the best!" Konohamaru said with sparkles in his eyes.
"Damn right I am!" A punch landed on Naruto's face sending him flying.
"Sakura-san why did you do that?!" Konohamaru pointed accusingly to her. She glared at him.
"Do you want to keep that finger Naruto2.0?" He immediately took 3 steps back and retracted his finger.
"So Kono. What are you up to?" Naruto asked as he dusted himself off.
"Nothing. I just saw you and run towards you." The two teens looked at each other, knowing full well that Konohamaru lost his best friend..
"What about training?" Sakura asked. Naruto immediately put a hand on her mouth failing to stop her from finishing her question. The brown hair kid looked down at his feet.
"Ebisu-sensei... Died at the operative table. There wasn't enough blood... The doctor said he died peacefully... with a smile..."
'Good Job! You just made a kid relieve a painful memory!' Her inner voice berate her
"I'm... I'm sorry... I didn't knew..." She looked at the little kid in front of her, who was still looking down, and then she looked at Naruto. He gave her a sweet smile and she mouthed a 'sorry' . He shook his head and smiled again.
"Hey Konohamaru, do you want to help us save some people at the Hospital?" Naruto asked looking at his protégé. Immediately the kid looked up and with a beaming smile he agreed.
"We need some help here!" A nurse yelled as she tried to help someone to stand up.
"Anyone who has the yellow circle on their wrist must go to the tents to the right. Those who have the red circle on the left." A doctor yelled tried to put some order in the chaos.
"Please if you are healthy or if you are visiting, it would be a huge help if you could donate some blood!" Another doctor yelled as well.
Naruto and Konohamaru were shocked at what they were looking at. Sakura looked at them and sighed.
"You see now? Everyone try their best. But it's too much... We need a Head Doctor, the last one died at the attack. We need someone to organise us, but the doctors are too busy with all these people." Naruto didn't answer he continued to look at what's in front of him. He gritted his teeth.
"Naruto... we need more help. All these people need help." The blond teen closed his eyes and a tear fell from his face.
"I understand..." He said quietly.
"I understand..." He formed a first, his knuckles turning white from the pressure.
"I understand..." He opened his eyes and looked at everyone.
"Kage Bushin no Jutsu!" Suddenly 1000 Narutos appeared, every single one of them with a serious expression. Without a word they all dispersed.
Everywhere you looked there was a Naruto helping someone, doing their best to save everyone.
"Naruto-san we need more blankets." A nurse said and a clone left to fetch them.
"Naruto, I need help with these amputees." Five clones gathered and helped the doctor.
Sakura smiled at the sight. She knew this was a temporary fix but this didn't stop her from hugging Naruto.
"Thank you Naruto!" She hugged him tigh.
"No worries Sakura-chan! But what you need is someone to organise all this."
"I know the perfect doctor!" A voice said from behind the trio. All three turn and saw Jiraya standing there.
"Ero-Sennin!" Naruto hugged the man faster than the eye could blink.
"Hahaha. Hey there Naruto!" The older man shuffled the blond's hair.
"It's been too long Jiraya-sama." Sakura said respectfully.
"Yes it has!" The white haired man looked at the pink haired kunoichi.
"As I said, I know the perfect person to become Head Doctor."
"Really?! Who is it Jiraya-sama? Where are they? Can they start immediately?" The young teen rushed the questions, seeing the man's eyes however, she stopped to let him finish.
"She's not in the Village. She left years ago. I haven't seen her for decades..." Jiraya's eyes darkened for a moment but immediately after they return to normal.
"I'm sure that she will come back if we ask her. No matter what she says she loves this village. How couldn't she? She was trained by the Third Hokage, just like me." He finished smiling at Konohamaru
"Wait, you don't mean..." Sakura trailed off, the white haired man gave her a smile and answered.
"Yes! The legendary Sannin, Tsunade-hime!"
"But no one knows where Tsunade is and I hear she retired from being active medic nin." The pink haired girl continued.
"Not to worry! I Jiraya will find her!" The toad sage did his signature pose and immediately after he disappeared in a puff of smoke. Sakura sweatdropped and looked at the two others who were with her.
"Hey Konohamaru, do you still want to help?" She asked and after the brown haired kid nodded she gave him some things to do. After Konohamaru left to do his tasks Sakura turned to Naruto.
"Naruto can you please go to Sasuke? We need to know when the houses will be ready, people need a roof over their heads." The blond teen nodded and left the area.
All alone, Sakura looked at the clones Naruto left behind and smiled.
'This will be a huge help.' She thought
'Yeah, he didn't even hesitate to do it. He truly is something else...' Her inner voice thought, making Sakura blush. That's when she remembered the purple haired woman that her teacher had brought yesterday
'Maybe I should go check up on her' She thought and start walking towards the tent they had put her in.
Naruto was walking the empty streets of the Uchiha District, the chilling air making him walk faster and faster. He looked around at the houses, most of them were in pristine condition, as of time has stopped going forward ever since that night.
Before he knew it, he was already at Sasuke's house. He opened the door and he was immediately attacked by Shiro, Sasuke's dog and the only other family member besides Naruto and his brother. After a few minutes, Naruto stood up and start walking towards the back of the house. He didn't have to search for Sasuke, he already knew that he would be at the back garden.
Makoto Uchiha, Sasuke's mother, loved that garden and after her death Sasuke took care of it daily, sometimes even Naruto helped but that was a rare occasion since the raven haired teen was extremely protective and private about the garden, so Naruto never pushed more that allowed.
Naruto open the back door and saw his friend sitting on a chair in the middle of the garden reading a piece of paper. Sasuke didn't acknowledged him. Only when Shiro ran towards the young Uchiha did he snapped from his daydream and saw his blond friend.
"Perfect timing, here's the list of all the houses that people can use. The rest need some repairs but they will soon be hospitable... again..." The Last Uchiha trailed off.
Naruto took the list and gave it a quick glance. More than half the houses could be used immediately for the patients. He folded the piece of paper and put it in his pocket.
"This will be a huge help. People really need these houses. Have you seen the Hospital? it's a mess..." Naruto said his sadness showing through his eyes.
"Don't need to visit. I can hear it from here." Sasuke responded coldly. Naruto scratched the back of his head awkwardly.
"Yeah... Ero-Sennin wants to bring Tsunade back to run the hospital... But I don't know if she might be up for it. I heard from Hokage-jiji that the village hurt her deeply. He said that only a miracle would bring her back." Naruto said as his mind noted the similar feelings he had in the past.
"Can't blame her to be honest. You know I wanted to leave the Village." Sasuke began, Naruto nodded.
"And it took a miracle to convince me to stay." The raven haired teen said.
"What was the miracle?" The blond teen asked.
"You, Sakura and Kakashi. You helped me out of the darkness. Maybe she needs a miracle as well..." Sasuke said eyeing Naruto.
"Yeah... Anyway, I have good news. About Danzo." The moment the old ninja's name was mentioned Sasuke activated his Sharingan. Naruto chuckled
"Asuma-sensei got word that some ROOT members are cashing in missing nin bounties on the black market. Sakura and I saw him eating at the Dango shop with Kurenai-sensei and Bushier-brow-sensei. Why don't you go visit them?" Naruto could see his best friend thinking his proposition. After a moment the raven haired teen nodded in agreement.
Back at the Hospital area, Sakura was tending to the purple haired woman, making sure she's okay. She looked at her chart.
"Everything look normal eh... Yugao-san" She said smiling. Yugao didn't respond, she didn't even made eye contact with the pink haired girl.
"Good morning kitty!" Kakashi said eye smiling, scaring both women.
"Kakashi-sensei! Please don't do that here you scared the hell out of me!"
"Sorry Sakura." The white haired Jonin apologied and walked towards Yugao. He placed an apple next to her and a present. The purple haired woman didn't made any eye contact she tried to avoid them both, but the apple draw her attention.
"An apple a day..." She trailed off.
"Keeps the doctor away. No offense Sakura." Kakashi finished looking at his student, who chuckled at what she was seeing.
"No worries Kakashi-sensei."
"Sensei..." Yugao muttered gaining the attention of the Leaf Jonin.
"Oh Yeah, Sakura is one of my students. Haven't I told you I became a Jonin sensei?" He asked but continued not leaving any room for the purple haired woman evading the conversation.
"Yeah, I have three adorable students. They are quite strong too. Do you know Naruto Uzumaki? You know, the current Hokage? Yeah his my student!" He said proudly. Sakura's eyes rolled as did Yugao's
"Then there's Sasuke Uchiha. You know, 'The Last Uchiha' ! A prodigy no doubt!" The white haired Jonin continued. Sakura facepalmed, while Yugao flinched at the mention of the Clan, something both Sakura and Kakashi saw.
"And last but certainly not least, because she would break me in half if I say otherwise, Sakura Haruno. The most sane one in our group. An all rounder and an exceptional doctor!" Kakashi said evading the flying chart coming his way. Yugao smiled at Sakura.
"Sakura, this is ANBU's little kitty Yug-" Kakashi was rudely interrupted by a flying pillow.
"Kakashi-senpai! These are confidential information!" Yugao yelled. Kakashi eye smiled.
"No worries, Sakura can be trusted." He said with a sweet voice. Yugao sighed.
"What are you even doing here Kakashi-senpai?" She asked.
"I'm here to take you home. You will live with me while you recover." Yugao blushed at the hearing of this. Sakura's jaw dropped.
"Kakashi-sensei are you and Yugao-san..." The pink haired teen girl began.
"NO! ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Yugao yelled louder than ever before. Sakura was taken aback by the sudden burst but Kakashi but a hand on her shoulder.
"No, Yugao is a very good friend who I want to help. Nothing more. She's been through a lot already. She needs a quiet place to recover." The white haired Jonin cleared.
"As quiet as a place full of dogs can be." Sakura chuckled making Yugao to join as well. Kakashi faked to be offended to play on this lighter mood the air was filled.
"Anyway Yugao-san, your chart here already has an ANBU stamp, which was one of the first things I was trained to know, meaning you will be cleared in a few hours. However, I'm still concerned about the stitches. If you feel any discomfort please come and see me immediately." Yugao nodded and laid on her side.
"Kakashi-sensei, she needs some more rest. Her discharge papers will be ready in a few hours... Why don't you have a walk around the village?" The pink haired teen suggested. Kakashi however sat down in a chair next to the bed, he kept a constant eye contact with Sakura as he reached for his pocket and pulled out a very specific book. Sakura's face turned red and took the book away from him.
"Let me rephrase that. Asuma-sensei, Kurenai-sensei and Guy-sensei are in the Dango shop. Go there and read your book, or you won't have hands to hold the book." The pink haired doctor threatened with a sweet smile. Kakashi tried to protest but the sound of Sakura's knuckles cracking was enough for him to leave.
The South Street was the main street of the village, it's a straight line from the South Gate to the Hokage Tower, meaning everything someone needed could be found on this street. From restaurants and clothing, to weapons and ammunition. One of these shops was the Dango shop, an old shop that recently was constructed after the attack. It hold many memories for many shinobi especially Asuma Sarutobi and Kurenai Yuhi. They had their first date here when they were young adults and ever since it has become their go to place for them and their friends.
Asuma and Kurenai were enjoying a quiet morning eating Dango, when suddenly Guy appeared and began his monologue about Youth. The couple couldn't find the words to make Guy tone down his hyperactiveness and when the Guy bumped into the person sitting next to them, Kurenai quickly tried to apologised to the man. The man, who was wearing a straw hat and a black cloak simply nodded.
"Come on Guy! You are not alone in the shop. People want to eat in peace." Kurenai said in a motherly tone.
"But I can't. NOT WHEN LEE IS TRYING HIS HARDEST TO MOVE PAST HIS INJURIES! NOT WHEN NEJI IS TRYING HIS BEST TO CHANGE THE HYUUGA! NOT WHEN TENTEN...IS... is...so supportive!" The taijutsu specialist said.
"I hear you. You can't imagine how proud I am of Shikamaru. He became the Hokage's counsil and he is finally using his potential." Asuma Sarutobi said lighting a cigarette. Kurenai immediately took the cigarette and put it out, giving the black haired man a stern look.
"Let's not forget about Hinata. She's holding out way better than I expected. Kiba and Shino are so supportive of her than it makes me proud seeing them together." Kurenai said.
"Excuse me. If I may..." The man Guy bumped into before turned around and addressed them.
"I couldn't help but over hear your conversation..." He said as he eyed Guy, who simply turned around as if the man wasn't talking about him.
"...But I would like to know something. You said that your student became the Hokage's counsil. Doesn't the Third Hokage already have his counsil?" The man finished his question.
"Well you see, Lord Third is now longer with us. His student is Lord Fifth's council." Guy answered.
"Lord Fifth?" The man tried to gain more information.
"Yes, our new Hokage he's-"
"Guy that's enough." Asuma stopped his friend from continuing speaking.
"If I may ask you something. Where are from gentlemen?" Asuma asked the man and his companion, who haven't moved ever since sitting down.
"Oh we are travelers we-"
"Oi Asuma." A voice interrupted the man. Asuma turned to look who called him.
"Oh Sasuke, what do you need?" The black haired man saw from the corner of his eyes the black cloaked man's companion flinching for a moment at the mention of Sasuke's name.
"Do you have information about some ROOT operatives?" The teen asked. Asuma looked at him and sighed. He tried to light another cigarette but Kurenai was quick to take that as well.
"Yeah, a friend of mine was their target. He managed to evade them, but knowing Danzo they will come back. He's in a village close to the northern boarder 1 day's trip from here." The Black haired Jonin said.
"Ok." Sasuke simple said and turned around to leave but stopped.
"Oi Kakashi." Sasuke said. At the mention of the Copy Ninja, the two travelers got up and start leaving through the side entrance. Asuma watched them carefully.
"KAKASHI! I CHALLENGE YOU! NOW THAT YOUR STUDENT IS HOKAGE AND MY OWN STUDENTS ARE TRYING THEIR BEST I NEED TO PROVE TO THEM THAT THEIR TEACHER IS DOING THE SAME!" Guy declared standing infront of Kakashi. Sasuke stared in annoyance at the green spandex wearing man.
The White haired Jonin looked at his friend and then walked closer to him closing their gap. His eyes fixed at Guy's eyes. He kept coming closer and closer, Guy took stance but Kakashi kept walking closer and closer and then past Guy.
"KAKASHI!" Guy yelled.
"Another time Guy. An old teammate is in the hospital." Kakashi said. Guy instantly shut up. Asuma and Kurenai looked at each other. Everyone knew how protective their friend has become over anyone close to him. It was something they admired to him. They knew that if they teamed up with Kakashi, the Leaf Jonin will do anything to protect them. Unfortunately, the copy ninja had earned another nickname. After an almost failed mission when he was a regular Jonin, other shinobi began calling him 'The cursed Ninja' in reference to all the times a teammate has died in his team.
"Kakashi, why don't you sit down with us?We haven't hang out for so long." Kurenai offered but Kakashi seemed uninterested, while Sasuke somehow found himself arm wrestling with Guy. Asuma however, insisted.
"Oh come on, we have so much to talk about. I recently saw some crows flying over the lake and I want someone to talk with about it." Asuma said, earning a questionable look from Kurenai.
"Since when did you start bird watching?" She asked. Asuma took another cigarette out to light, only for Kurenai to take it.
"I love bird watching, just as much as smoking!" He said as he took the cigarette back from her hands and light it.
"When I was younger, I saw a dog carrying a crow on it's back. Kakashi was there too, he saw it too." Asuma said pointing to his masked friend and smoked.
"Ever since, I always watch for crows in Konoha. Today they reappeared." The black haired Jonin said looking at his friend. Kakashi didn't say anything, He kept his uninterested look.
After a few seconds of Kurenai trying to take the cigarette from Asuma, Kakashi stood up and start to leave. Guy, who was winning the arm wrestling looked at his friend and told him that he would be next after young Uchiha. At that moment, Sasuke used his remaining power to overpower the distracted Guy. Kurenai and Asuma laughed at the overreaction of Guy loosing. Kakashi, who was at the exit, looked back at Asuma.
"If I remember correctly, the dog killed the crow." The white haired Jonin said and left.
Asuma sighed and stood up. When Kurenai asked where he was going, he simply said that he wanted to check up on Kakashi. She gave him a kiss on the cheek he whispered to her ear and she smiled.
"So, Konoha looks better than I thought. Sasori said that both Iwa and Suna attacked. And yet they are still here." The traveling cloaked man said as he and his friend walked along the lake
"And Oto. Iwa, Suna and Oto attacked Konoha but they managed to push them off." The other man said.
"I have to admit it. Your village is hard to destroy. Itachi." The man said. The other cloaked man lift his head revealing his Sharingan.
"It's not the village. It's the people." Itachi said and his eyes picked up movement from the side.
"Some of these shinobi are extremely stubborn when it comes to death. Just like Hatake Kakashi!" The Uchiha said as he turned around. Kakashi appeared in a puff of smoke.
"Yo, Itachi. Long time no see."
Back at the Dango shop, Guy bragged about his win over Sasuke, only for Kurenai to remind him that he lost one as well. Sasuke didn't answer. When he got up to leave, Kurenai asked him about Sakura and her progress as a kunoichi.
"She's strong and smart. She's a capable medic nin." The young Uchiha answered. Kurenai, then asked about his own progress and told him how incredibly it is that he's already a Jonin. Sasuke didn't answer. After a few seconds of silence, the raven haired teen tried once again to leave, only for Kurenai to ask Guy who would win in a Taijutsu fight, Lee or Sasuke. The Taijutsu specialist gave a huge grin.
"LEE OF COURSE!!! He has the Flame of Youth in him. He could easily beat Sasuke-kun." The prideful Uchiha stopped dead in his tracks and turned to Guy.
"Lee was a good sparing partner. Now... who knows? If Naruto can perform a miracle and bring Tsunade Senju back to the village. And If she performs a miracle and saves Lee's leg... then maybe he could be again a worthy sparing partner." The young Jonin said leaving both Kurenai and Guy speechless.
"Is Naruto really planning on bringing Tsunade back?" Kurenai said after a few seconds of complete silence.
"I have to say Lee the great news!!!" Guy jumped and disappeared in an instant leaving the kunoichi and the young teen behind. Kurenai was frantically thinking of something to say, when suddenly Sasuke sighed and once again began to leave.
"Wait a minute Sasuke...-san" She said not used to the new honorific. The raven teen looked at her.
"Ehm... You see..." She was trying to find something to say to make him stay.
"What is it Kurenai-sensei?" He asked somewhat irritated.
"I have this new Genjutsu technique I'm trying to master but I'm having a little problem. If I analyse you the technique's part could you help me?" He gave her a questionable look.
"You need my help? You are Genjutsu specialist. I heard from both Kakashi and Asuma that you could put them both under without them realising. You even helped me when I was younger." He said.
"Yes. Even though they exaggerate. Some things comes naturally to you but for those who don't have those eyes... It's more difficult than you think. What do you say? Just sit down and hear me out." She offered the sit across of her. The raven teen sighted
"I have to get ready to leave the village to go after those Root shinobi." He protested.
"Well, Even though I'm certain Naruto has his hands full with paperwork, I'm sure he will give you the Hokage's approval immediately. So you won't waste any time." Sasuke flinched as he remembered that he actually can't leave the village on his own.
"Paperwork is such a drag..." He said as he sat down. Kurenai smiled.
"Yes it is. This won't take long. An hour... or two..."
Meanwhile, back at the lake, Sarutobi Asuma managed to provide back up to his white haired friend. Right now things were in a standstill. No one was moving without careful consideration.
"Asuma, don't look into his eyes, he will put you under in a second and you won't even realise it." The Jonin veteran nodded, acknowledging what his teammate said.
"So you will take him? With your Sharingan?" He asked but Kakashi nodded negatively.
"Obito's eye is powerful, but it will always be inferior to a Sharingan used by an Uchiha. Especially when that Uchiha is so skillful as Itachi." The Copy Ninja declared gaining a chuckle from the Shark like man accompanying Itachi.
"You hear that Itachi? Hatake Kakashi said you are skillful. That's quite the statement from someone like the man who mastered 1000 Jutsus." The man said gaining the attention of both Leaf shinobi.
"Oh my apologies, where are my manners. My name is Kisame Hoshigaki, nice to meet you both." He politely introduced himself to them.
Itachi looked up, Kakashi braced himself for what he thought would be a normal Genjutsu, when he saw the Uchiha's eyes however he realised his mistake.
"That's not norma-" He tried to say but he found himself tied to a cross.
"This is the power of a true Uchiha, Kakashi. This is Tsukuyomi. In here I control the time. For the next 72 hours I will stab you repeatedly and force you to relieve your failures, let's see who strong your mind is." Itachi Uchiha said as he began stabbing the White haired Jonin.
In the real world, Kakashi stood still for 3 seconds and then he collapsed. Asuma caught his friend before he completely fell.
"What?!" The black haired Jonin said in disbelief. Kisame smirked.
"It's always a pleasure to see you work Itachi. You always make my prey ready for me to eat!" The shark-like man said as he leaped forward with a giant bandaged sword. Asuma took a defensive stance, in the one hand he hold his friend while on the other he hold his chakra blade. Kisame smiled showing his shark teeth and as he was at striking distance he raised his sword.
"LEAF HURICANE!" A voice yelled and suddenly Kisame felt a force stopping his attack. Instantly, Guy was standing next to Asuma.
"I was rushing to the hospital to see my students and tell him some good news, when I saw the four of you fighting. At first I thought that it was a friendly spar, but when I saw Kakashi collapsing and that man over there attacking my friends I realized what it's going on." The Taijutsu specialist said as he took an offensive stance.
"It's always a shame when a sparring partner can't keep up with you, but that doesn't mean that they can't improve! I assure you I will be capable in keeping up with you!" Everyone stood still for a second trying to processing what the green spandex wearing man said.
"Guy, you're wrong...This guys aren't sparing. They tried to kill us. That's Itachi Uchiha over there, and the other one said his name is Kisame and judging from his headband and his unusual sword he must be one of the Seven Swordmen of the Mist." Asuma said, Guy didn't flinched he stood firm in his stance.
"Really?" He asked without breaking eye contact with the two outsiders. Kisame laughed.
"Itachi, who is this man over there?"
"His name is Might Gai or Guy more commonly, He specialise in Taijutsu. Don't get fooled, he is strong." The Raven haired man said calmly.
"Might Gai? He reminds me of a man my old mentor described. Might Dai." Kisame said.
"That's my father. He sadly died trying to save me. So in order to repay his sacrifice, I WILL SAVE MY FRIENDS!!!" Guy said as he opened the first 5 Gates, a green aura start engulfing him.
"Might Dai killed 5 of the Seven Swordmen of the Mist using only Taijutsu. It is time for them to have their revenge." Kisame declared as the sword's handle wrapped around his hand growing bigger.
"Kisame, I never thought you were that loyal to your village."
"I'm not. They can all die for all I care. But Might Dai is the reason the Seven Swordmen lost the Mizukage's favour, and were shunned. He's the reason I killed my mentor." The swordman said as his sword grew even larger.
"Samehada wants revenge as well..." He mumbled as he disappeared. Guy dogged the first strike and block the next one with his full body. The moment Samehada touched his skin he felt his power diminishing. He could easily see his own chakra getting absorbed by the huge sword.
"What the?" The Taijutsu specialist said. Kisame smirked.
"Samehada absorbs every chakra it comes in contact with. Let's see how long you will last!" He said a sadistic grin formed in his face.
"Kisame." The Kiri missing nin stopped dead in his tracks as he heard Itachi calling him. He turned to look at him.
"We're not here to fight. We are here for someone special. It won't take long before more shinobi come. We must hurry." The Uchiha said making the swordman to lower his sword. In an instant they both disappeared.
Asuma looked around in order to find where they headed, only when he felt Kakashi sifting did he looked down at his friend. The white haired Jonin opened his eye slowly and tired to lower Asuma's head closer to him. The black haired man lowered it.
"Na...ru...to...They...want...the...Fox..." Kakashi said before he passed out again. Asuma eyes widened at hearing their target.
"Guy!!! Go to Naruto! They're after him! I will mobilise the Jonins! Hurry!" The Sarutobi Jonin ordered, Guy simply nodded and disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Guy was rushing from rooftop to rooftop scanning everywhere for the blond teen. He was headed towards the Hokage Tower, the logical place that the young Hokage would be. Before he knew it he had already arrived and rushed through the floors. He kicked the door open of the Hokage's office.
Shikamaru looked scared at the sudden noise and immediately took a defensive stance infront of Naruto. In front of the genius teen, the two ANBU that guarded the office appeared and pulled out their weapons. Behind them all, Naruto was sitting in his chair with paperwork on his hands.
Before Shikamaru could react the two ANBU, Monkey and Tiger, had already immobilised the intruder. Only when Naruto saw that it was Guy did he ordered them to release them.
"What is it Bushier-brow-sensei?" The young Hoakge asked. Guy didn't waste a second.
"Two intruders are looking for the Demon Fox. Kakashi, Asuma and I Intercepted them but they got away. Nar-Hokage-sama, you are in danger. They're both at least SS class shinobi." Guy said with one breath, looking at Naruto's and everyone else reaction he said the rest.
"They defeated Kakashi." He said. That got a reaction from the blond teen, who got up from his chair.
"What?! Is Kakashi-sensei ok? Who did this?" The young Hokage asked. Guy thought for a second.
"They are two. I can't remember the first one's name, but the second... Is Itachi Uchiha." Both ANBU flinched at the mention of the Uchiha. Naruto didn't react at all. He was frozen in place. Monkey turned to his leader.
"Hokage-sama! Itachi Uchiha was a member of the ANBU. He was in our team. He is an extremely dangerous ninja, we must protect you!" The ANBU captain said, Naruto was still processing what he was hearing. Suddenly, he formed his signature hand sign and the Naruto clone dispelled. Shikamaru sighed.
"Perfect. That's what we need right now, an assassination attempt. This is such a drag." The lazy genius said and looked at the two ANBU.
"If Asuma was there he would have already gathered the Jonin to hunt them down. Send an alert to the ANBU, to capture the two missing nin. Naruto is in a safe space. Best you don't know in case you are compromised." The Nara said as the two ANBU bowed and disappeared leaving Guy behind. The green spandex wearing man looked confused so Shikamaru told him about what Naruto did a few hours ago.
It only took a few minutes and the entire Jonin force were in the streets looking for the two men. While the ANBU were hunting them in the surrounding forest and some hotspots. The civilians, the Chunnin and the Genin quickly realised something was going on but the elite force of Konoha didn't give them an answer. Some civilians closed their shops early on fear of getting their merchandise destroyed.
An hour or so past without any news about the two missing nin. That's when an army of Naruto clones came marching from the South. In front of them all was the real Naruto, who was wearing the Hokage's hat, and marching them towards the middle of Konoha.
"ITACHI UCHIHA! IF YOU WANT ME, I'M HERE!!!" The Hokage of Konoha yelled. Everyone hearing the name of the Uchiha realised what was going on. Everyone moved like clockwork. The civilians went inside their houses, guided by the Genins, while the Chunnins offered support to the Jonins so no shinobi was left alone. Naruto waited a full minute in the middle of the, now empty, street.
"IF YOU DON'T COME TO ME. I WILL COME TO YOU!" He said and all the clones jumped to different directions. A few seconds later, Asuma and an unknown ANBU landed in front of him.
"Naruto, what are you doing? These missing nin are after you." The Jonin Commander asked. Naruto looked at him defiantly.
"Exactly! That's why I'm here. He wants me, so here's where he will find me, no one else will get hurt that way." Naruto said.
"Hokage-sama, we need to protect you. You need to get to a safe house." The ANBU said, Naruto looked at him for a second.
"Who are you?" The blond asked.
"I'm the ANBU Commander. Code name Dragon. When the Hokage's life is in danger, it's my duty to protect him at all cost. Even if it means I'll have to give my life." The ANBU Commander said standing in attention. Naruto scoffed.
"Thanks for the offer, but I don't need protection. Make sure everyone else are ok." The Hokage said making Dragon to chuckle. The ANBU Commander immediately apologized.
"I'm sorry, but that exactly what both your predecessors always said. I guess every Hokage is that stubborn." He said looking at Asuma, who just sighed. Both commanders stood next to their leader as he walked around the street. Every few seconds Naruto would stop and declare a district clear of the intruders.
About an hour later, the ANBU Commander quickly touched his ear as he received information from the ANBU patroling the woods.
"We found a trail leaving the Village. We're in pursuit. For now, I think, we can call out the Jonin." Both Naruto and Asuma nodded and Asuma left to inform them leaving the Hokage and the ANBU Commander behind.
"Dragon-san, I know about Itachi Uchiha, but if he managed to beat Kakashi-sensei... It makes me wonder, how strong is he?"
"When this is over, I will give you his full file. But the short version? He's the youngest ANBU ever. In the 3 years he was an ANBU, he had the third best overall record with Hatake Kakashi being second and Lord Forth still holding the record. There's no mistake, if he continued he would have surpassed them. It seems he already surpassed Kakashi..." Dragon said. Naruto looked at him and sighed. The blond start heading towards the Hokage Tower.
"Dragon-san, can you please summon Sasuke? I'm sure he's being kept in the dark from what's happening." The ANBU Commander nodded in agreement.
Naruto was looking down from his office, to the Village, his village.
'Why did they come after me? Why does Itachi wants Kurama' Naruto thought and touched his seal that was placed in his stomach.
'Why do you think? He's an Uchiha. He's related to that Bastard Madara. He wants to control me.' Kurama said. Anger filled his voice.
'Can he control you?' The blond teen asked. The giant Fox stared at him for a few seconds and then answered.
'Normally, no he can't. I hate to admit it but those bastards Uchiha are strong thanks to their eyes. A simple Sharingan can't force me to do anything. But... There's some Uchihas that have managed to gain even more power and... evolve their eyes. Those eyes... Those eyes can control me...' The Nine Tailed Fox said trailing off in the end.
'So it has happened to you? Did an Uchiha controlled you?' Naruto asked. Kurama closed his eyes and laid down.
'Yes...years ago...That night...' Kurama mumbled but Naruto couldn't understand much.
A knock on the door pulled Naruto out of his mindscape. Sasuke came in.
"What happened? I saw both Jonin and ANBU all around the village." The young Uchiha asked. Naruto kept a straight face, which made the raven haired teen alert.
"Naruto. What's going on? Why did Kurenai stalled me in the Dango shop?" Naruto looked away.
"Oi Dope! What are you hiding me? Is it about Danzo? Because I'm telling you, I will go after that old bastard." Sasuke said hitting the table with his hand. Naruto looked him in the eyes.
"Itachi Uchiha attacked Kakashi-sensei and Asuma-sensei in his search of the Nine Tailed Fox." In an instant Sasuke's black eyes turned red, his killing intend filled the room, Naruto stood firm.
"Where. is. he?" He asked slowly.
"He's gone. The ANBU are pursuing him. When we know more I will inform you." Naruto said calmly.
"Inform me? INFORM ME?! LIKE YOU INFORMED ME WHEN HE WAS INSIDE KONOHA?!" Sasuke yelled, while Naruto looked him in the eyes.
"You made Kurenai to keep me busy while HE was here?" He accused.
"Actually that was me." A voice said from behind the raven haired teen. Sasuke turned and saw Asuma standing there next to Jiraya. The young Uchiha stared at the Sarutobi Jonin.
"Do you remember two travelers in the Dango shop?" Asuma asked and Sasuke nodded making the older man to continue.
"It was them. The moment you came one of them froze and when Kakashi came they both left." He finished. Sasuke's mind was in overdrive.
"I saw some crows near the lake..." Sasuke mumbled. Asuma nodded in agreement.
"I knew that if you realised who they were you would go after them. I need to inform Kakashi without alerting you. Thankfully he got the message." Asuma said as he lighted a cigarette.
"How's Kakashi-sensei by the way?" Naruto asked gaining the attention of the man.
"He's completely drained. Itachi must have put him under a very strong Genjutsu. It only took him 3 seconds to defeat him." The black haired man said as he smoked.
"Tsukuyomi... One of his abilities." Sasuke said clinching his firsts.
"The question is, why did he came here? Why does he want Naruto?" The Jonin Commander asked. Jiraya laughed loudly.
"That is something I can answer you all. I Jiraya the Great, have been following closely a very peculiar group of shinobi." The white haired man said taking centre stage in the conversation.
"They call themselves 'Akatsuki'. They're a group of exceptionally strong shinobi as you saw." He said. Naruto asked what was the goal of this group.
"To gather all the Tail Beasts."
'WHAT?!'. Kurama yelled making Naruto clutch his head in pain.
"I figure The Nine Tails is not happy hearing this..." The white haired shinobi trailed off.
"No... No his not..." Naruto deadpanned.
'Those [email protected]#*. I will [email protected]# them up if they touch my siblings!' Kurama cursed uncontrollably.
"He's not happy at all." Naruto said. Jiraya continued.
"Orochimaru used to be a member, he might try to contact them again. Or maybe even Danzo might join them." The spymaster said. The room was quiet as all three shinobi were thinking spoke again.
"I also know where Tsunade-hime is. If I go she will refuse in an instant. It has to be you Naruto but with the Akatsuki on the move it will be tricky." The legendary Sannin said. Sasuke offered to join him in order to see Itachi.
"No." Naruto refused the offer. Sasuke protested but Naruto was quick to answer him.
"You already have a target. Danzo. Asuma-sensei will accompany you to the location the intel says, Itachi may be long gone, we can't afford to chase him without knowing a location." The young Hokage ordered. Sasuke tried to protest again but seeing how serious Naruto was he stopped. Asuma stepped forward to be next to young Uchiha.
"When you come back, not only we will have intel about Itachi, but we will also have Tsunade with us." The blond teen said with a smile.
"Us?" Jiraya asked. Naruto gave him a foxy grin.
"She might refuse me as well. That's why we will both go to bring her back home. Plus we can gather more information about the Akatsuki and Itachi." Naruto finished. As all three men agreed with their orders Naruto smiled.
"As the Fifth Hokage of Konoha, I set you Asuma Sarutobi, Jonin Commander of Konoha, and you Sasuke Uchiha Jonin of Konoha on a S class mission to bring back the ROOT shinobi and if possible information about Danzo." Both Jonin bowed accepting the mission. Naruto then looked at his godfather.
"Jiraya of the Sannin-"
"Yeah yeah. I accept. I never was much with the formalities." Naruto laughed.
"Me neither Ero-Sennin." The both laughed.
"It's time for Tsunade to come home." Naruto said.
Done! That's a BIG chapter. I just kept writing and writing. It just made sense to introduce Itachi and Kisame now, since the Akatsuki are starting to mobilize. Now we need to see if Tsunade will come back. I'm thinking of having a chapter in Konoha now that both Naruto and Sasuke are out of the village. I feel like I gave them way to much screen time and I want to flesh out more characters.
