Muscle memory. He doesn't even realize what he's done until he feels the pills rough against his esophagus and the familiar sensation brings reality crashing down.

Set after No Reason, House must work through the immediate consequences: near death, successful ketamine treatment, hallucination. But he's not the only one for whom the shooting has caused a questioning of previously settled realities. Cameron is beginning to accept what she wants more than anything else. No matter the past, a future is always something worth fighting for.

A frantic Cuddy sends the fellows she can find on a mission to retrieve him, not knowing he is dealing with severe pain. Thirteen is dealing with her own issues.
