It was 3 days since Mt. Hakobe and no one had seen lucy anywhere. Natsu was busy fighting with Gray as always and didn't manage to notice the girl he brought to the guild was missing.

Mirajane walked over to where Cana was sitting, almost hugging the giant barrel of beer that she drank from. "Hey Cana, have you seen Lucy anywhere?" Mirajane asked.

"Lucy? Oh, you mean the new girl? No, I haven't seen her since she ran after Natsu to go to Mt. Hakobe." Cana said.

Mirajane had a furrowed brow, concerned for her new guild-mate who she had taken a liking to.

As Mirajane headed back to her bar, the guild doors swung open and in walked Lucy. She looked around the guild and noticed it was almost empty, only four or five people hanging around.

Feeling that it was safe enough, Lucy pulled the cloak from her face and from it fell long, beautiful, golden blonde hair.

Mirajane gasped. "Lucy! Where have you been? I was worried."

Lucy walked up to Mirajane. "Just walking around Magnolia. Seeing the sights. Am I required to check in with the guild each day?"

Mirajane gave Lucy a small smile. "No, you don't. Do you want your usual today?"

Lucy cocked her head to the side in confusion? "What is my usual?"

"Your strawberry milkshake, silly." Mirajane said.

"Oh. If so, then yes. I would like one." Lucy said.

"Oh. By the way, the hair looks amazing." Mira said as she winked at Lucy.

Lucy went walking over to the request board when a short, blue haired girl approached her, waving with a friendly smile on her face.

"Hi! I'm Levy! It's nice to meet you!" The girl named Levy held out her hand for a handshake, and Lucy reluctantly did the same. "I heard that you helped save Macao with Natsu."

Lucy looked flustered. Not used to talking to people her age. "Yes, well, I thought it was the right thing to do."

Levy grabbed Lucy's left hand and dragged her over to the barstools to chat. "Your new here, aren't you?"

"Yes. I just arrived three days ago." Lucy said.

"I'll give you a tip: Stay away from Gray, he can be a bit of a pervert." Levy said.

Both the girls heard a "Hey!" being yelled at the mention of his habit, before returning to brawl with Natsu.

Both girls just giggled at the scene.

Hours passed and Levy was asking Lucy any and every question she could come up with. From where Lucy was born, to what kind of magic she used.

Lucy happily answered most of her questions, but for some she lied. Lucy didn't need 'him' on her trail.

By this time the guild had become a noisy ruckus again, far from the quiet guild earlier that morning.

"I'm sorry. What did you say Levy?" Lucy said.

"What kind of magic do you use?" Levy yelled through the noise.

"It's celestial magic." Lucy tried to say but she couldn't get her voice across to Levy, despite being literally inches apart.

Lucy had a better idea. If she couldn't tell Levy about celestial magic, she would show her. So, Lucy jumped off from her seat and pulled a silver key from the loop at her belt.

Lucy tapped Levy on the shoulder and mouthed the words "Watch this."

Lucy slashed the silver key in the air

"I am one who creates paths to the celestial spirit world! You must answer and pass through your gate!" Lucy chanted.

As Lucy chanted those words a small key hole appeared in the air in front of Lucy, and when she put the key through it expanded to twice It's size.

Focusing on summoning her new spirit, Lucy was unaware that the guild had quieted down and now all eyes were on her.

"Open, gate of canis minor! Nikora!" Lucy yelled.

Bing-Bong

In a puff of smoke, a small creature that looked like a snowman with a carrot nose appeared.

"Puuun!" the spirit cried as it jumped into Lucy's arms.

When Lucy turned around back around to Levy, she saw the entire guild roar in applause.

"Wow! So that's a celestial spirit huh?" An overly large man with a white shirt said.

"Go Lucy!" Cana slurred.

"Good job Lucy!" Mirajane said.

As Lucy heard the shouts of praise from her other guild-mates she became nervous and pulled her cloak back up over her face.

She put the small spirit on the bar bench and told Levy "It does not take much magic energy to open Nikora's gate, so most people keep them as pets."

Levy's face lit up in understanding. "Oh! I think I used to have a neighbor who had a Nikora as a pet once."

"Yes, they are quite common sprits." She saw the little spirit dancing on top of the bar table. "Alright. Well go over the contract, okay?'

"Pu-punn!" the canis minor voiced.

"How is Monday?" The little spirit shook its head in disagreement. "Tuesday?" The spirit nodded this time in agreement.

And with that Lucy went through all the days of the week and the weekend and finalized her contract with her new spirit.

"And done. The contract is all finished." Lucy told Levy.

Lucy let the canis minor spirit sit on her lap as she decided for a name for it. "…How about Plue. Is that a good name?"

"Pu-puun!" The spirit voiced in happiness.

"I see. So, you can only summon spirits on certain days? It seems simple enough." Levy asked.

"That is correct. It may seem simple but it is incredibly important. To celestial Wizards the contract is a promise, one of the most important things next to your bond with a spirit. And as a celestial wizard I will never break a promise." Lucy lectured to Levy.

Levy, to Lucy's surprise had brought out a notepad from seemingly know here to note down what Lucy was saying.

"A promise?" Natsu said.

"You never break a promise?" Happy asked.

"Ahh!" Lucy yelped as Natsu and Happy suddenly popped up behind her, and without warning she elbowed Natsu in the gut, forcing him to the ground.

"Lucy, your mean!" Happy playfully yelled.

"I am so sorry Natsu. I am just not used to people sneaking up on me like that." Lucy said.

Natsu was on his back rocking back and forth like a turtle. "I just wanted to show you… a job…" Natsu whined.

Gray looked on from over at a table nearby. "Looks like the new girl has some fight in her."

"Shut up Gray." Natsu grumbled.

Natsu suddenly shot back to his feet in record time. "Me and Happy found a job we thought you might like, Lucy."

"What kind of job?" Lucy asked, as Natsu handed her the flyer he had scrunched up in his pocket.

"In Shirotsume Town…Duke Everlue… steal a book…" Lucy mumbled to herself as she read the flyer.

"I thought just stealing a book for 200,000 Jewel sounded too good to be true. Look here, Natsu." Lucy said.

Lucy pointed to Natsu the fine print of the flyer. "See? He wants a blonde maid, and he's a pervert. You set me up, Natsu!" Lucy complained.

Natsu and Happy just snickered.

"But Lushee…" Happy whined.

"…Don't celestial wizards always keep their promises?" Natsu said.

Lucy ignored the way Happy purposefully butchered her name to sound cute. She drank the rest of her Strawberry Milkshake that had gone warm from all the chatter and distractions, and attached Plue's key back to her belt hoop.

Levy looked at the mess her new friend was in and laughed. "I'm sorry Lucy, but you're stuck with them now."

Lucy walked to the large guild doors and called Natsu and Happy over. "Come on. Are we going to do this job or not?"

And with that they began their journey to Shirotsume Town.

Hey all! This chapter is shorter than usual since i just wanted to create a transition between events. It also let me introduce Levy to Lucy and believe me, she will have a lot more scenes in the future.

P.S. Thanks for everyone who Follows and Faves and Comments. Your support means the world to me and makes me keep writing.
