Mary Margaret and David led the way closely followed by Alex who was enjoying he cool night air until they reached an apartment "well this is us come on in" They welcomed.
Alex slowly, climbed up the stairs where she walked into the apartment a wave of emotions crashed over her she had forgotten what a building looked like. "So this is where you'll be sleeping" Mary Margaret explained.
"Thank" Alex nodded walking over to the sofa. "It perfect".
"Well if you need anything let's us know" Mary Margaret smiled before they both went to change into their pyjamas.
Quickly, Alex climbed up on the sofa wrapping the blanket around her shoulders making herself nice and cosy. Alex's eyes daunted around the room again this time taking in the surroundings probably she found the small apart confining it reminded her of her terrible past however it was bearable. "So what do you like to do for fun" Alex called out.
"Oh it quite rare that we have time for ourselves" Mary Margaret laughed back before entering back to sit on the opposite chair. "We normally are quite busy we don't get much time to relax".
"Oh I see" Alex nodded.
"I know how about a hot chocolate before bed" Mary Margaret suggested.
"Really I can't remember the last time I had a hot chocolate" Alex replied.
"Well let have one" David added. "I'll put the kettle on".
Whist David was making hot chocolate the atmosphere turned quite awkward nobody knew what to say to one another. "So I think that this is the perfect time to have that chat" Mary Margaret began. " Hear me out I just have a couple of things to say".
"I know you're had a hard time but I wanted to tell you that we are just so happy that you are alive and home" Mary Margaret gleamed.
"I.. I... don't know what to say" Alex replied truthfully. "Thank you" Alex smiled quickly before turning her eyes to the floor.
David quickly, returned carrying three cups of hot chocolate." Here you go" David smiled handing the cup over to Alex.
Carefully, Alex took a sip savouring the flavour as it went down her throat she could not help but make a face of pleasure she had forgotten how good hot chocolate tasted. Her eyes slowly made their way to where Mary Margaret and David was sitting who could not help but laugh. "Hey" Alex smiled. "It's not funny".
"Sorry" Mary Margaret replied. "It just I've never seen someone do that".
After a hour of talking Mary Margaret and David retired to their beds leaving Alex to tuck herself up on the sofa where she remained for several minutes.
Alex found herself drifting a large black mist surrounded her making her quite confused she had no idea where she was. "Hey anyone here" Alex called out.
There was no reply instead Alex kept drifting into endless nothing. "Please is anyone there?" Alex questioned.
"Shush Girl" A voice commanded.
"Who are you?" Alex wondered.
The darkness parted revealing a shadow that looked familiar to Alex. "Your Peters shadow" Alex confirmed.
The shadow started laughing even chuckling at Alex naivety. "You foolish girl I'm not owned by pan I'm the shadow of Neverland". The shadow explained.
"Really but I thought Neverland was destroyed" Alex replied.
"No it has regenerated" The shadow reassured.
"Why are you telling me this?" Alex asked.
"Your dream reached out to me " the shadow started to explain. "Neverland has chosen you to be its queen it your birth right".
"Your joking" Alex laughed.
"Do I look like I'm joking girl" the shadow replied sternly.
"No I guess not" Alex agreed. "I'm dreaming?".
"Yes" the shadow replied. "But not for long".
The shadow enlarged engulfing Alex is black smoke quickly, Alex woke heavily breathing to the silence of the room. Slowly, Alex pulled the blanket away and carefully, tiptoed to the door which was bolted.
Quickly, waving her hand she unlocked the door and rushed out into the nights air. Slowly, Alex walked of into the forest surroundings the town she had no idea where she was going but it was a relief to be out uncaged. A few minutes later she reached the tall point of the hill where she spotted Peter and Felix. "Hey I'm here" Alex smiled.
"Shush get down" Peter instructed pulling Alex down into a crouch.
"Sorry but what are we doing?" Alex asked.
"Oh nothing yet I just don't want us all to be discovered talking" Peter explained. "Why are you looking at me like that?" Peter added addressing Alex.
"Sorry but it unusual to see you talking in Henry's body" Alex apologised.
"It won't be for long" Peter reassured.
"So why did you break me out of prison?" Felix asked.
"This" Peter smirked showcasing a small scroll.
"A curse?" Felix wondered.
"No, Felix, the curse. The curse that tore everyone from the Enchanted Forest and dropped them here." Peter explained.
"Really Peter that's the scroll that did all that" Alex gasped.
"You broke me out of jail to tell me how everyone got to this town?" Felix interrupted.
"I broke you out 'cause this spell is gonna give us everything we always wanted." Peter smiled. "Everyone will forget who they are. Time will stand still. Alex and Felix we will be in charge." He added.
"This whole place?" Felix questioned.
"Yes, and when we're done with it, it's going to be the new Neverland." Peter explained.
"But Peter this is not home" Alex protested.
"Home Neverland is gone" Peter pointed out.
"No your wrong" Alex protested. "Neverland has been reborn".
"How do you know this"? Peter asked.
"The shadow told me" Alex explained. "We can all go home".
"Why are you lying?" Peter questioned. "They've got to you".
"What are you on about?" Alex asked. "I'm telling the truth".
"If your not gonna take this seriously please stop talking!" Peter commanded.
"Great I'm gonna head back before someone realises I'm missing" Alex replied.
"I can trust you can't I?" Peter asked.
"Yes Peter" Alex smiled before heading back leaving Felix and Peter to their affairs.
