A/N: And this is where the chaos happens. And we also learn a few interesting things this time around (well, a couple seeing as we already know how laugh power works). :)

Chapter 5: Harryhausen's/A Shocking Discovery
Later, at Harryhausen's, a monster was chopping up some fish, although one of his tentacles was accidentally cut some time ago, as a photographer was getting ready to take a picture nearby.
"And hold it.", the photographer spoke before a shutter clicked with the customers walking into the restaurant.
"Get a paper bag!", the waiters shouted before elsewhere, Jimmy's tongue ate the eyeball.
"Mmm.", the tongue grinned.
Meanwhile, Mike and Celia we're dining as they laughed together.
"Ob, Michael, I've had a lot of birthday...
Well, not a lot of birthdays, but this is the best birthday ever. What are you looking at?", Celia asked as Mike agreed.
"I was just thinking about the first time I laid eye on you- how pretty you looked.
"Stop it!", Celia spoke, embarrassed.
"Your hair was shorter then.", Mike added.
"Mm-Hmm. I'm thinking about getting it cut.", Celia spoke before the snakes have a faint squeal of fear.
"No, no, I like it this length.", Mike assured before the snakes sighed in relief.
"I like everything about you. Just the other day someone asked me who I thought the most beautiful monster was in all of Monstropolis. You know what I said?", Mike responded.
"What did you say?", Celia asked.
"I said...", Mike began before Sulley pressed his face onto the window, puzzling Mike.
"Sulley?", Mike puzzled.
"Sulley?", Celia puzzled.
"No! No, no. That's not what I was going to say.", Mike assured.
"Mike, you're not making sense.", Celia puzzled before Sulley took the duffel bag and rushed inside the crowded restaurant.
"Hi, guys! What a coincidence, running into you here! Uh, I'm just going to order something to go.", Sulley spoke in a haste.
"Michael...", Celia spoke, annoyed.
"Sulley!", Mike spoke through gritted teeth.
"I wonder what's good here.", Sulley spoke before he and Mike faced each other.
"Get out of here! You're ruining everything!", Mike whispered.
"I went back to get your paperwork and there was a door.", Sulley whispered.
"What?", Mike puzzled before turning to Celia for a moment and then back to Sulley.
"A door?!", Mike whispered.
"Randall was in it.", Sulley responded as Celia's snakes hissed and rattled as Celia only half-glared in suspicion.
"Wait a minute. Randall? that cheater! He's trying to boost his numbers!", Mike guessed.
"There's something else.", Sulley stated.
"What?!", Mike puzzled.
"Ook-lay in the ag-bay.", Sulley responded.
"What?!", Mike puzzled.
"Look in the bag.", Sulley responded, pointing to it.
Mike looked, but it was too late.
"What bag?", Mike puzzled before Celia sighed with Mike then noticing something troubling and gasping and turning Sulley toward something vitally important: the girl inside walking in two legs.
"Oh, come on. Get off of me.", the girl grunted as she tried to get the bag off her, walking around.
"Oh! They don't have anything I like here. So take care, Celia!", Sulley exclaimed before taking off.
"Excuse me, sir.", the waiter spoke as Sulley inadvertently got in his way.
"Michael, what's going on?", Celia asked.
"Celia, please try to understand. I have to do something!", Mike exclaimed as the girl got the bag off her, prompting Mike to go after her.
"Michael?", Celia puzzled before exclaiming with a gasp as she spotted the girl nearby.
"Is that a human? Oh, no. If she came from the Scare Floor, the CDA will shut the company down!", Celia whispered in worry before taking off after Mike.
"On 3. 1...2...", the photographer began.
"Hello!", Riley spoke as she popped up behind the photographer, making the two monsters scream before the photographer noticed.
"AAAH! A KID!", the photographer shouted.
"Uh..., hi?", the girl greeted nervously before a panic inadvertently erupted with a sushi chef calling an emergency number.
"A kid!", one of the monsters shouted as he left before two eye-stalk like monsters jumped out in fright with another monster stomping away in worry.
"There's a kid here- a human kid!", a sushi chef shouted.
"Stop! I'm not gonna hurt you!", the girl assured before Mike landed near the small buckets with Celia catching up.
"Googley Bear!", Celia shouted as she caught up just as Mike and Sulley snatched up the girl and ran.
"Come on!", Sulley urged as he, Mike, and Celia took off.
Panicked diners fled the restaurant as CDA Agents arrived, even shining spotlights down on a couple of monsters.
"Let's get out of here!", Mike urged.
"Please remain calm. This not a drill.", the pilot urged as more agents arrived by vans.
"We have an 835 in progress. Please advise.", another agent spoke.
"Building clear. Ready for decontamination.", Anorher responded to the walkie-talkie.
"Well, I don't think that date could have gone any worse!", Mike spoke before a force field suddenly activated.
The trio looked back, but the CDA has already sealed it away.
Later, in the nightly news, the same image of the restaurant became part of a news report, with the word, "KID-TASTROPHE!" superimposed over it as well as a sort of "contaminated" symbol with a kid at the center of said symbol behind it before the newscaster spoke to the camera.
"If witnesses are to be believed, there has been a child security breach for the first time in monster history.", the newscaster spoke before a CDA Agent turned to the camera and responded.
"We can neither confirm nor deny the presence of a human child here tonight.", the CDA Agent stated before it went to one of the panicked monsters, who spoke to the camera.
"Well, a kid flew right over me and blasted a car with its laser vision!", the first panicked monster spoke.
"I tried to run from it, but it picked me up with its mind powers and shook me like a doll!", the 2nd added before a monster with dozens of eyes stepped forward to corroborate.
"It's true! I saw the whole thing!", the 3rd monster exclaimed before it went to a scientist next to the news anchor.
"It is my professional opinion that now is the time to... panic!", the scientist shouted before the TV was inadvertently pushed off and broken.
"Oops.", Riley winced nervously before the terrified monsters, two of which were wearing colanders, snorkels, masks and oven mitts for protection, screamed and scrambled for protection behind a chair.
"Oh, it's coming! It's coming!", Mike spoke only worry as the girl moved in and then screeched like a monkey, making the trio scream before they fled over to the window, knocking over the lamp in the process before they closed the shades of Mike and Sulley's apartment as the girl moved toward them, making them yell in fright before moving away, earning the girl's snickering, trying not to laugh too hard, and a grin as she sighed.
"Phew, that's priceless.", the girl sighed.
"How could I do this? How could I be so stupid? This could destroy the company.", Sulley spoke in worry.
"The company? Who cares about the company?! What about us? That thing is a killing machine!", Mike retorted, unknowingly attracting the girl's attention, miffing her.
"Michael.", Celia scolded.
"I bet it's just waiting for us to fall asleep. And then, WHAM! Oh, We're easy prey, my friend; easy prey. We're sitting targets.", Mike spoke.
"And why would I do that?", the girl puzzled, making Mike jump with fright before clearing his throat.
"Because you're toxic. One tiny little touch from you, and BLAM! Zap! Boom! Pbbt. Goodbye.", Mike responded.
"Hey, that's not true. If it was, your friend would be dead by now. I touched him many times and he's still here.", the girl assured.
"Hey..., you're right. I hadn't thought about it.", Sulley realized.
"So, you mean to tell me you were scared of me because you thought I was toxic and that every human child had that very same toxicity before I came here today... And you. Believed. His. CORPORATE LIES?!", the girl shouted angrily, taking Sulley aback before suddenly, Mike mocked her and even did a raspberry noise, puzzling Riley, angry as she is.
"What...?", Mike puzzled.
"Michael...", Celia glared.
"What did I say?", Mike puzzled.
"Apparently, something you shouldn't have. Look.", Celia spoke as the girl was now on the verge of blowing her top.
"Yeah, you shouldn't have said that...", Sulley commented in worry.
"Oh, no...!", Mike spoke nervously.
"GAAAAAAHHH!", the girl shouted, causing the lights in their apartment to surge brightly as the energy rose and shrunk as the monsters covered their ears when the girl noticed what was happening and screamed in panic for a time as she had no idea what's going on, inadvertently making a beacon for the helicopters toward the apartment.
Panicked, Mike ran to the window and pulled the blinds shut.
"Make it stop, Sulley! Make it stop!", Mike urged as he did so before Sulley then comforted her.
"It's okay. It's okay. Everything's gonna be fine.", Sulley assured, the girl's fear now subsiding into tears as she cried softly, the surge still occurring, but at a less frequent pace as it calmed down somewhat.
"Good, good, Sulley. Keep it up. You're doing great.", Mike assured before Celia went over to Sulley.
"Psst. Sulley.", Celia whispered.
"What?", Sulley whispered.
"Try that bear on the shelf.", Celia suggested, worrying Mike as he gasped while Sulley picked it up.
"Oh, you like this?", Sulley asked with Sulley ceasing her crying.
"Wha...?", the girl sniffled a bit in puzzlement.
But for Mike, it was too far.
"Hey, hey, that's little Mi...!", Mike began before he slipped, flew through the air, and landed in a wastebasket with books flying into his mouth and a stereo speaker landing on his head, making Riley snicker before she was unable to contain her laughter and laugh boisterously.
Amazingly, her laughter caused all the lights in the whole building to light up and blow out! Then, the laughter subsided and all was dark.
"Oops.", the girl spoke sheepishly.
"What was that?", Celia asked.
"I have no idea, but it would be really great if it didn't do it again.", Mike responded, still wedged inside the trash can.
"Uh..., sorry.", the girl apologized.
"No, it's okay. You didn't mean to do that.", Sulley assured.
"You certainly are new here, aren't you?", Celia asked.
"Uh, yeah.", the girl responded.
Later, Riley was doing some drawing on paper.
"Okay, look, I think I have a plan here. Using mainly spoons, we dig a tunnel under the city and release it into the wild.", Mike suggested.
"Spoons.", Sulley and Celia said at the same time, shooting down the idea before Mike crumpled up the paper and tossed it out.
"That's it, I'm out of ideas. We're closed. Hot air balloon? Too expensive. Giant slingshot? Too conspicuous. Enormous wooden horse? Too Greek!", Mike spoke before sighing as Riley showed Sulley and Celia a drawing of them, Mike, and herself, but in monster form as her drawing appeared to have eyestalks while her body appeared to be half as round as Mike's (literally for his case as he is a walking ball) with light lavender skin and 6 tentacles from the waist down (8 counting her arms).
"This is a drawing I made for you guys. Oh. And that's me. Possibly how I would look if I was a monster here.", the girl stated, somewhat astonishing Sulley and Celia.
"No plan. No plan. Can't think. Can't think. Flatlining.", Mike sighed as the girl yawned.
"Uh, Googley Bear? I think she's getting tired.", Celia spoke.
"Well, then why don't you find someplace for it to sleep? WHILE I THINK OF A PLAN!", Mike responded back with a snap before making a gasp with Celia gasping herself.
"Oh, Schmoopsie-Poo. I'm sorry for yelling at you like that.", Mike apologized.
"It's okay. It has been a very stressful night right now.", Celia assured as Sulley went over to the girl.
"Are you sleepy? You want to sleep? Is that what you want? Huh?", Sulley asked.
"Maybe...", the girl yawned.
Sometime later, Sulley was already arranging some newspaper for the girl.
"Okay, all right. I'm making a nice little area for you to...", Sulley began before he heard creaking and turned to see Riley in his bed.
"No. Hey, hey, that's my bed! You're going to get your germs all over it.", Sulley spoke as Celia walked in and saw her.
"Sorry.", the girl apologized sheepishly.
"Fine. My chair is more comfortable anyway.", Sulley sighed.
But as soon as he started to leave, she shouted and pointed to the closet.
"Wait!", the girl shouted.
"What?", Sulley asked.
"Call me crazy, but I think some other monster may be in this closet.", the girl responded.
"It's just a closet. Will you go to sleep?", Sulley asked before the girl showed Sulley a picture she drew of a certain lizard-like monster.
"So far, this is the only monster I'm afraid of.", the girl stated.
"Hey, that looks like Randall. Randall's your monster.", Sulley spoke.
"Yeah. But not a good one like you.", the girl responded.
"You think he's going to come through the closet and scare you. Oh, boy, how do I explain this? Uh, it's empty. See?", Sulley assured as he opened the door before the girl gasped and hid under the covers for a moment.
"No monster in here.", Sulley spoke before he walked in, making the girl snicker a bit.
"Well, now there is. But I'm not going to scare you. I'm off-duty.", Sulley assured.
"Oh. Okay. Well, you can get out now if you want. I'll just try and get some sleep.", the girl assured.
Then, the two decided to leave before Celia turned to Riley.
"Good night, human.", Celia grinned before leaving only for the girl to speak up.
"Riley.", the girl spoke, puzzling her.
"What?", Celia puzzled.
"That's my name. I'm Riley.", Riley introduced.
"Really? Well, that's quite a likable name.", Celia grinned.
"Thanks.", Riley thanked before all of a sudden, she felt an odd tingly feeling in her right arm.
"Ooooh.", Riley groaned.
"What's wrong?", Celia puzzled.
"I don't know.", Riley puzzled before she pulled the back the covers and gasped as she and Celia saw her own right arm turning into a long tentacle as her fingers fused into one and her hand stretched and became more tentacle-like as the skin on it even turned light lavender.
"What just happened to me?", Riley asked in worry.
"I'm not sure. But we'll figure this out in the morning.", Celia assured.
"I hope so...", Riley sighed before Celia moved to the door.
"Good night, Riley.", Celia spoke.
"Good night.", Riley responded before Celia closed the door with Riley looking back at her new tentacle in slight puzzlement as she looked up for a moment.
Meanwhile, Celia and Sulley returned to the living room.
"Hey, Mike, this might sound crazy but I don't think that kid's dangerous.", Sulley assured.
"Really? Well, in that case, let's keep it. I always wanted a pet that could kill me!", Mike spoke in sarcasm.
"Look, Googley Bear. What if we return her back to her own bed?", Celia asked.
"What?", Mike puzzled.
"Mike, think about it. If we send her back, it's like it never happened. Everything goes back to normal.", Sulley added as he figured the best plan was to get Riley back to her room through her closet door at Monsters, Inc.
"Is that a joke? Tell me you're joking.", Mike spoke.
"I don't think he is, Googley Bear.", Celia responded.
"Sulley, I'd like to think that, given the circumstances, I have been extremely forgiving up to now, but that is a horrible idea! What are we gonna do? March right out into public with that thing? Then, I guess we just waltz right up to the factory, right?", Mike asked as Sulley looked at the chair and got an idea.
A/N: So, what do you think? Pretty surprising, huh? Not only did Riley display elemental emotions to use elements from "Inside Out", but also started turning into something else. I think most of us may know what? Until next time. :)
