Stephanie woke up standing in the middle of darkness, confused about where she was as everything around her was pitch black.
She was wearing a long, ankle-length white dress with medium gray tights and was barefoot.
The only thing that was not white was her skin as she glanced down at her hands with a soft, confused expression.
Suddenly, she perked as she heard something in the distance before her breathing hitched when Stephanie realized where she was.
"Oh, no, no, no!" Stephanie panicked as she glanced around frantically. "Not this again!"
Whispers suddenly spoke from around her as Stephanie winced before more and more started to talk as Stephanie's heart thumped against her chest.
Suddenly, something huge appeared behind Stephanie as she whipped around, seeing an enormous black humanoid figure as her heart skipped a beat.
Millions of eyes appeared all over its face as a broad, crooked grin appeared with sharp teeth.
"STEPHANIE!" the humanoid figure exclaimed with a joyful and manic expression on its face.
Stephanie screamed in fear and went backwards, landing on the ground on her bottom as she pushed away from the figure before something appeared out of thin air.
Glancing over, Stephanie saw strange creatures she had never seen before as they surrounded Stephanie after appearing in puffs of smoke.
The creatures have a dragon skull for heads, charcoal black skin, and neon yellow eyes, which lacked pupils.
A bright rainbow aura also surrounded their skin while they had two enormous claws on their back feet and three claws on their left hands.
Their right hands are large sickles, and their arms are slightly longer than their legs, and they can run on both their back legs and all fours.
They have human skulls on their backs for protection, and other bones float around them.
The creatures all ducked their bodies down in preparation to attack Stephanie as she instantly turned herself around, scrambling up to her feet, and ran.
"Aw, don't run away from them, Stephanie!" The black humanoid figure jeered as the strange creatures followed her as they followed them as well. "They only want to play with you!"
Stephanie did not listen to the black humanoid figure jeering at her as she continued to run as fast as she could from the creatures as they were snarling at her.
Suddenly, the same creature appeared in front of her as she instantly stopped, gasping as it moved its body down in preparation to jump.
It then suddenly jumped as it moved its sickle arm back to slice Stephanie's head off her body.
Stephanie panicked as her long brown hair instantly turned white, causing her to whip her hand up and blast a beam that hit the creature while wincing.
The creature shrieked in pain as it was launched backwards and landed on the ground, instantly disappearing in a puff of smoke.
"What?!" the black humanoid figure exclaimed after witnessing the attack.
In confusion about what had happened, Stephanie glared down at her hands as her eyes were now snow-white after opening them.
"When did you have kinesis?!" the black humanoid figure screeched, now not smiling but looking furious. "This is not fun anymore!"
Stephanie glanced around worriedly as the creatures snarled and got ready to attack.
"Get her!" the humanoid figure screeched, pointing at her with a finger.
Stephanie slightly panicked as she took a step back before jolting when one of the creatures jumped at her.
Instantly, Stephanie did the same thing again, watching as a beam of white light shot out of her right hand and hit the creature in the chest, causing it to shriek in pain before disappearing.
Stephanie became more confused after watching what had happened before moving to the side after one creature tried to attack her but missed.
Stephanie used the ability again but missed the creature as it quickly moved to the side and jumped towards her with the sickle moving back.
When she realized she was about to lose her head, she moved both of her arms to protect herself but accidentally summoned a shield in front of her.
The creature smacked itself against the shield after Stephanie summoned it as she glanced over, seeing it sliding down the semi-invisible protection.
Focusing, Stephanie bent the shield and wrapped it around the creature as it shrieked a little but then slammed it to the ground, smashing it to the floor as it disappeared.
The black figure watched in horror as Stephanie used light beams to fight the creatures around her, showing no fear or stopping as she continued to turn around.
She even created shields to protect herself from their attacks and even moved to the side quickly, sometimes tripping a few times but got up to her feet.
As Stephanie was fighting, someone the same size as the black humanoid figure walked over to her from a distance but stopped after watching Stephanie summon two shields and slam them on one of the jumping creatures.
Soon, Stephanie finishes by defeating the last creature with a light hammer, slamming it to the ground as it poofed into nothing.
The black figure hissed in anger after Stephanie defended herself from being attacked, releasing the hammer as it disappeared into thin air.
"This isn't over," the black figure hissed. "We will always haunt your mind."
With that, the black figure disappeared into the darkness of the floor as everything went back to silence.
After the black figure disappeared, Stephanie let out a shaky sigh as she placed her hands on her knees, feeling her heart beating against her chest.
"Oh my god, how did I do that?!" Stephanie exclaimed as she shakily sighed while placing a hand against her chest.
"How did you do that?!" Stephanie jolted after hearing someone else's voice and whipped her head around, seeing the same kid as before as she craned her neck up.
The kid had a shocked expression on his face as he took his goggles off and placed them on his head.
"You saw me do that?" Stephanie asked as she mentioned. "And it was all real?"
"Yes!" he nodded his head as he knelt down to his knee to her height. "And you have kinesis too?"
"No! Yes? Maybe?" Stephanie stammered as she felt more confused, placing a hand on the side of her head. "I don't know! I've never experienced anything like this before!"
Suddenly, something cracked from underneath their feet as they both glanced down, watching as white cracks appeared and spread all out.
"Uh oh," the kid winced as he watched.
"What?" Stephanie asked as she glanced up at him. "What's 'Uh oh?!'"
Before the kid could explain, they both went through the floor and entered a long tunnel as they both shrieked.
Stephanie separated from the kid and went into a long, dipping hallway, sliding down slick walls as she headed deeper.
She shrieked in fear as she tried to stop herself from sliding down the slick walls but kept fumbling as she rolled.
Suddenly, Stephanie came across a platform that launched Stephanie up into the air, causing her to scream in fear as she headed towards the flat ground, noticing that she would get herself injured or scrape any parts of her body.
Without thinking, Stephanie instantly moved her hand down and summoned a glowing white orb underneath her body with a cobalt blue color with a light blue ring around it.
Stephanie bounced off the bubble and landed on the ground on her bottom, bouncing a few times before coming to a stop.
"…Ow?" Stephanie winced in confusion, glancing around at her surroundings as she stood up to her feet. "Where am I?"
As Stephanie stood up to her feet, Stephanie noticed she was inside a long white hallway with millions of doors aligned in a straight line.
"An… office hallway?" Stephanie mumbled in confusion as she glanced around. "When did that dark place turn into an office workshop?"
Deciding to look at her surroundings, Stephanie walked through the hallway and turned around the corner, seeing the same hallway as she continued.
"It looked the same," Stephanie slowly spoke as she began to feel nervous. "What is happening?"
Stephanie turned around the next corner and stopped, seeing there were now pictures on the walls, each looking confusing to her.
One of them had a black background with millions of eyes staring at Stephanie with the title reading, "THEY ARE WATCHING YOU!"
Another had someone's head with a finger against their lips, reading, "Shhh! They can hear you!"
A few others had pictures that read, "Collect what you need, not what you want," "Do not get caught by them," and "Make no mistakes."
"What… are these pictures?" Stephanie slowly mumbled in confusion as she stared at one of them. "They looked like what I remember and the rules I made."
Stephanie's confusion continued to grow as her hair changed from white to light purple as she glanced around at her surroundings, even looking at the pictures.
"Why would these pictures represent what I learned?" Stephanie mumbled before she instantly stopped walking. "Wait a moment."
Stephanie quietly repeated the sentence to herself after stopping before exclaiming as her hair turned to a flash of yellow, "Wait, am I in my own mind?!"
Suddenly, a prohibition sign appeared in front of Stephanie as she flinched as her hair turned back to her natural hair color, watching as open and two hands popped out from the hole as a figure emerged from the other side.
A head popped out from the other side and was revealed to be human but slightly different from the average human Stephanie had seen.
The short human had short, slicked-back jet-black hair, Caucasian skin, and round glasses that covered their eyes.
They wore a blue dress jacket with pants and a white undershirt with a red tie, black shoes and held a stamp bearing the same prohibition sign.
"No." the strange human spoke, landing on the ground and standing in front of Stephanie as she took a step back.
Luckily, the strange human holding the stamp of the prohibition sign was down to Stephanie's height instead of the kid's.
"Okay," Stephanie spoke as the strange human looked aggressive as he stared at Stephanie while gritting his teeth. "Listen, I don't know who you are, but-"
Stephanie was about to finish speaking when the strange human charged towards her and moved the stamp back.
Stephanie instantly moved out of the way as the strange human missed stamping her as she rolled in a barrel roll before stopping.
"You are definitely not a human!" Stephanie remarked as the strange human turned around towards her, swinging the stamp around to Stephanie.
She kept dodging the attacks to try to attack back at the strange humanoid figure but did not notice she was accidentally destroying the pictures in the hallway, smashing them as they disappeared into thin air.
Deciding to use her newfound powers again, Stephanie lifted her hand and was about to use her 'light' powers but was caught off guard when the strange human came too close to her.
Gasping, Stephanie moved her hand up and swung a right hook at the face, emitting a cobalt blue fist and punching it squarely in the face.
The strange human was knocked backwards as Stephanie blinked in confusion but continued while he was dazed from the first impact, doing a left hook and then a slap, causing it to be tossed back and poofed into nothing.
"It was like those rainbow wendigo monsters?" Stephanie blinked in confusion as she went back to her standing stance. "Why are those creatures in my mind and haunting me all the time?"
After fighting against the strange human, Stephanie paused briefly after noticing the destroyed pictures, wincing after looking at her surroundings.
'Oh…' Stephanie winced with worry as she gritted her teeth. 'Whoever placed these pictures up will not be happy about this.'
Not to get caught by someone walking down the hallway, Stephanie continued to walk, passing the long hallway filled with pictures of what she remembered.
'Okay,' Stephanie thought to herself as she thought to herself. 'First, I woke up in that black area with that…' she paused a little as she shuddered. 'The kid suddenly appeared, crashed through the floor, was separated from him, and appeared in a long white hallway without an exit, and now... I have powers.'
Stephanie sighed as she rubbed her temple with her right hand as she walked before bumping into something and went backwards, landing on the ground bottom first.
Groaning, Stephanie glanced up at what she had bumped into, seeing she had gone into a locked door with locks, boards, and even welded too.
"What is this door?" Stephanie mumbled to herself as she stood back on her feet.
Thinking to herself, Stephanie stared at the door with a confused and curious expression on her face before deciding to open it.
'Okay,' Stephanie thought to herself. 'If I could use that same ability I just used against that guy, I could break this door down.'
Stephanie lifted her hands and concentrated on the door with her mind, remembering the times she would do it out of surprise or for defense.
She watched as the two same cobalt blue hands appeared and grabbed the frame on the sides, digging their fingers into the wall.
Then, Stephanie yanked backwards as she struggled, trying to get the door off its frame as she strained, creating cracks on the wall.
A few pops happened, and the door finally gave out, popping out of the frame, and Stephanie was holding it in her semi-translucent and floating hands.
"Yes!" Stephanie smiled in happiness as she smiled. "Ah, I could've done this before with that pantry door!"
As Stephanie walked over to where the old door once stood, curious about what may be inside, she placed the ripped-off door to the side in the hallway.
But before she could step into the room entirely, Stephanie bumped into something in front of her… again.
A slightly irritated groan came from her as she looked at what she had bumped into, seeing a familiar leg with the same pants.
'Wait a moment,' Stephanie glanced up at the leg and glanced over at the corner of the room, seeing it was the same kid.
The kid had his head tilted slightly downward so as not to smash into the ceiling with one leg up to the collarbone and the other down on the ground.
From Stephanie's point of view, the kid looked like he was stuck in a narrow room in a strange mindset.
The kid notices Stephanie standing in front of his leg as he shifts a little to move it but stops when he gets more stuck.
"Are you stuck?" Stephanie curiously asked, moving around his leg.
"I am," the kid nodded his head after Stephanie asked him. "Since you are still a borrower and I am a human," He paused a little as he took his goggles off. "It's a little tight for me since we are in a different place in your mind."
'Poor kid,' Stephanie thought to herself, feeling sorry for the kid having to be stuck in a room with no way of moving around.
"Hold on a moment," Stephanie assured him, pausing for a faint moment in confusion about why she did not seem afraid of him. "Let me see if I can do something with the ceiling to make room for you to move around. But, you need to stay still for me to do that."
She did not trust the kid's intention to help Stephanie by picking her up to get to the ceiling, reminding her of the incident that happened a long time ago and the pantry disaster as well.
The kid nodded his head after Stephanie explained to him and stayed still as Stephanie began to climb on him after pushing herself up onto his right thigh, being careful not to hurt him or touch anything.
As Stephanie was climbing near his stomach area after climbing onto his lap, the kid started twitching a little, causing Stephanie to stop midway.
"C-Careful!" the kid chuckled as Stephanie felt her body slightly shaken up by his voice. "I'm ticklish there."
"Sorry." Stephanie apologized to the kid, moving to the side slightly to make sure he would not feel ticklish again.
As Stephanie continued to move, struggling a little to climb up the semi-squishy middle, the kid snorted and turned his head away so as not to hurt her, moving his hand up towards her.
Stephanie instantly froze when his hand immediately reached up towards her, gripping handfuls of his shirt as she was gently grabbed by him.
At first, Stephanie thought that the kid would swat her for mistaking her for a bug but instead noticed that he had his hand carefully cupped over her.
"Okay," he chuckled a little as Stephanie instantly released his shirt, still worried about making a move to get herself hurt. "Let me help you get up to the ceiling."
Stephanie stayed perfectly still as she was removed from the kid's side of his stomach, still feeling nervous about his fingers being a little too close to her body.
But she was glad he did not accidentally crush her or try to harm her in a way that caused some shivers down Stephanie's spine.
After being removed from his shirt, the kid carefully moved Stephanie up to the ceiling with his palm up as he adjusted his body to make himself somewhat comfortable.
Once he was near the ceiling, the kid withdrew his fingers from Stephanie, revealing she was lying on her back, staring up at the wall with a confused expression on her face.
'He…' Stephanie thought to herself as she sat up onto her bottom. 'He did not hurt me?'
Stephanie stared at the kid with a faint perplexed expression on her face for a moment before turning her attention to the ceiling, remembering what she was going to do to help him.
Repositioning her legs, Stephanie sat on top of them as she placed her hands against the ceiling, thinking to herself as she pushed back a strand of hair.
'If I remember,' Stephanie thought to herself as she continued to feel around. 'There is usually a large gap underneath all these panels, and if I could just find one of them around here.'
Stephanie paused a little as she felt around before feeling something move up with a faint rip noise emitting from it.
"Bingo!" Stephanie smirked to herself as she pushed the panel away.
Once Stephanie had removed the panel away to the side, Stephanie poked her head through the hole and looked around, noticing they had entered a spacious white room instead of a black one.
A confused expression appeared on her face after noticing the spacious white room she had entered, seeing that it was not like the black room she had been in before.
"Uh, excuse me?" Stephanie spoke as she glanced down at him after looking around the room. "Do you know anything about a large white room?"
"No," the kid responded as he glanced up at Stephanie with a confused expression on his face. "Do you see anything in there?"
Stephanie glanced back up from the ceiling and moved a hand to the floor, placing it down as if she was prepared to get out of the room the kid was stuck in.
"No," Stephanie replied, looking around as she felt relieved that no horror awaited her. "There is nothing inside."
But after Stephanie had placed her right hand on the ground, Stephanie paused a little when she felt something underneath her palm, confusing her from the feeling.
Glancing down, Stephanie watched as greenery grew from her fingertips and from around her entire hand, as the same flowers she had seen from her dream started growing back.
Stephanie gasped in surprise and removed her back after witnessing the flowers growing back, watching in confusion as the whiteness recovered the greenery as the flowers went back to their buds.
"What do you see now?" the kid asked as he tried to look around Stephanie after hearing her gasp.
"I touched the floor of the white room, and flowers started growing!" Stephanie explained as she glanced down at him from over his palm.
"Really?" the kid asked after Stephanie explained.
"Yeah!" Stephanie nodded her head as she felt more excited about the new and calmer room. "Can you punch yourself out of the-?"
Before Stephanie could finish her sentence, something grabbed the back of her dress and forcefully yanked her backwards out of the room, causing her to shriek in fear.
"Hey!" the kid exclaimed as he tried to reach his hand through the narrow hole, but it was instantly covered by the panel Stephanie had removed.
"Kid!" Stephanie exclaimed before being slammed to the ground, back-first.
After something slammed her to the ground, Stephanie instantly froze after seeing what had hurled her to the floor.
It was the dark, red-eyed black humanoid who had haunted her nightmares with its malicious smile.
Stephanie was lying on the ground on her back as the creature towered above her with a horrified expression.
"Hello, hello," the monster grinned as Stephanie's heart picked up speed. "What do we have here?"
Stephanie whimpered and started to push herself backwards away from the humanoid figure but instead yelped when it roughly placed its hand against her chest, pressing against her.
"It's the pathetic little girl," the monster snarled as Stephanie squirmed under its hand. "What made you decide to come in here?"
Stephanie did not respond to the monster's answer as she continued to squirm, still feeling pressure against her chest.
"I can't understand fish," the monster snarled as he applied more pressure to her chest. "Just give up and accept being stuck here with me. You're just nothing compared to the world."
Suddenly, an orange fist slammed through the floor that perked Stephanie's attention, realizing it had come from that kid.
The monster looked confused after the fist had launched out of the ground before snarling with sharp teeth.
"Don't… listen to him!" the kid struggled, sounding like something was happening in that room. "He's… just trying to… make you powerless!"
Suddenly, a black clawed hand slammed over the hole where the kid had punched his fist through, laughing as it had a smile across its face.
"Forget about what he is trying to say to you!" the monster laughed as it walked over to the humanoid creature. "You are powerless against us!"
The monster spat in Stephanie's face as she struggled against the humanoid's hand, feeling more overwhelmed.
"Didn't you forget how scary humans are?" the speaking monster snarled. "They can kill you, keep you as a pet, eat you, and even experiment on you!"
Stephanie winced as the monster continued to speak, feeling more and more pressured with all the voices speaking around her, even with the eyes appearing.
"Just stop trying to fight us," the monster huffed as Stephanie started to hyperventilate. "It's no use trying to get rid of us."
Another orange object slammed through the floor from the bottom and semi-snapped Stephanie out of her fearful state, glancing over to the side as she watched as the kid tried to climb out of the room he was trapped in.
"Not all humans want to harm you!" the kid explained as he struggled to keep himself upright. "Remember when I saved you from being discovered by the cafeteria lady? I gave you Oreos too when you were stressed out and even did nothing to you!"
Stephanie blinked when the kid mentioned her and remembered how nice he was to her without being aggressive or wanting to experiment on her.
He saved her from being discovered by the cafeteria lady and caught her when she accidentally fell off the shelf when she was panicking.
"Fight against them!" The kid strained as he was almost dragged back into the room. "You are stronger than them than what you know!"
The second monster rolled its eyes and ran over the kid, hissing as it lifted a hand up to slam the kid down, "OH SHUT UP!"
Stephanie instantly snapped out of her state, and her long brown hair turned red, immediately pushing the first monster's hand away from her.
The first monster looked confused and startled after Stephanie pushed the hand away before switching the color to yellow, instantly running over to the fist before it slammed on the kid's head in a blink of an eye.
Stephanie reached up with her hand, and an electric whip appeared in her hand, allowing her to grasp it and move her hand down.
The electric whip wrapped itself around the second monster's wrist, causing it to be confused, glancing over with a shocked expression.
Stephanie landed back on the ground and instantly tugged backwards as her long hair turned brown, yanking the second monster back from the hole where the kid was.
The second monster shrieked in fear after being yanked backwards and tossed towards the first, who instantly turned around to run but collided with it and went into the distance.
Stephanie sighed as the electric whip disappeared after being used, causing Stephanie to look surprised to see she had managed to toss one gigantic monster with an electric whip!
"HOW DID I DO THAT?!" Stephanie exclaimed in fear as the kid pulled himself up from the hole.
Stephanie glanced up in the distance and watched as the mass of two monsters started combining into two, causing Stephanie's expression to turn to a panicked one.
Soon, it appeared as a mixture between a human and a true monster with millions of red eyes, arms with hands that all had claws, and even one giant mouth filled with sharp teeth.
It all looked like a giant humanoid centipede with a terrifying appearance and the rage of an angry bull.
"StEPHaNiE!" The mixture of the two monsters roared in anger. "yOU wILl pay foR THIs!"
After the two monsters merged in anger and roared, Stephanie whimpered in fear as she shrunk a little before yelping when the kid gently grabbed her right arm and gently pulled her towards him.
Stephanie stood in front of the kid as he carefully placed his fingers on Stephanie's shoulders as he was standing halfway out of the room.
"Stephanie, look at me," the kid spoke, saying Stephanie's name as she nodded her head, too scared to even feel more afraid of what she was seeing. "You have to defeat that fusion of inner demons of yours."
"ME?!" Stephanie exclaimed in a panicked tone. "WHY ME?!"
"Because you are the only one who can do this!" the kid explained, carefully wrapping his hands around Stephanie's small frame. "I may not be able to help because of the condition I am in, but I believe in you that you can defeat those monsters."
"But, I'm-" Stephanie argued but stopped when the kid said, "You are stronger than that monster! I believe in you that you can defeat it!"
Stephanie opened her mouth to protest against the kid's words but stopped and nodded her head, saying, "Okay, I can do this."
The kid nodded his head as he released Stephanie's shoulders after giving Stephanie a pep-talk before adding, "But be careful. If you get injured, your real body outside of your mind can get hurt too."
Stephanie instantly stopped after the kid explained and whipped around back to him, exclaiming, "WHAT?!"
The kid was about to explain what he meant but was dragged back into the room as the hole sealed up over his head.
"Crap!" Stephanie winced before shrieking when a fist almost crushed her as she dodged out of the way.
"i'LL CrusH YOu!" The monster shrieked in anger as it slammed its fists against the ground, missing Stephanie inch by inch.
Stephanie continued to dodge as she looked up at its body with a confused expression on her face, obviously noting the large size that was too big for the kid to face against.
'Okay,' Stephanie thought to herself as she dodged, watching as the same humanoid prohibition stampers appeared along with the rainbow wendigos but got smashed by the monster as it went into a flurry of rage. 'How can I defeat something that massive?!'
The fusion of monsters continued to storm around and mistook the others for her, smashing them as it left behind fist marks on the ground along with scratches.
However, Stephanie notices something hanging off one of the behemoth's ankles, which appears to be an open patchwork while leaking water onto the ground.
'It's a patchwork monster?' Stephanie thought to herself before punching one of the humanoid prohibition stampers with her powers. 'How can I undo it? I don't have any scissors!'
Suddenly, Stephanie's long brown hair turned white again, and this time, Stephanie noticed her hair turning colors as she watched the strand with confusion.
Mostly taken aback because she could change the color of her hair at will.
"Why changing to white?" Stephanie asked in confusion as she stared in confusion before noticing that the first finger of her right hand was glowing. "Light powers?"
She then remembered when she created the shield to protect herself from that attack from the rainbow wendigo.
If she can make a shield for protection… can she create scissors to cut her way around the monster?
Stephanie lifted her hands up to her face and concentrated on projecting scissors only to watch as it automatically did so in front of her eyes.
The scissors were so massive Stephanie held it with two of her hands, as it glowed in gold with etchings of roses on the handles.
'Now that is what you call scissors.' Stephanie thought to herself with a smirk on her face.
After summoning the scissors, Stephanie instantly ran over to the ripped patchwork on the fusion and immediately jumped, opening the scissors as she aimed for the stitches.
Once the scissors had hit the stitches, Stephanie's hair instantly turned yellow, and Stephanie quickly snipped, cutting along the seams where the stitches were.
One of the monsters noticed something was happening after one of the arms had given out and collapsed the body at a crooked angle.
They both glanced away from terrorizing the rainbow wendigos and the humanoid prohibition stampers, watching Stephanie twirl around their mangled bodies and undoing the work.
"YoU liTTLE INSEcT!" The monsters roared, turning their attention from the rainbow wendigos and the humanoid prohibition stampers, moving their bodies upward like centipedes.
Stephanie noticed the change in angle and glanced up slightly, yelping when a hand immediately started heading towards her.
Quickly, Stephanie jumped and missed from being squished and continued snipping the body, going around as fast as she could cut.
The monsters roared and shrieked as they continued to try to slam their hands on Stephanie to squish her as she twirled around them, causing them to leak water out of their ripped bodies as the thread snapped.
"sTOp It!" The monsters shrieked in anger, showing a hint of fear as Stephanie was almost up to their chests.
But Stephanie did not stop and continued with her attacks, cutting further and further up to their chest, causing the entire body to collapse into the massive pooling water.
"sTop, StOP, STOp, stop!" The monsters screamed in horror as they squirmed around, watching as their body parts fell into the water and disappeared from sight. "hAVE MERCy On us!"
Stephanie reached up to their necks and was flung off after the last string of threads snapped, allowing their heads to fall off.
The monsters screamed in horror after Stephanie snapped the last thread and fell into the massive pool of water, falling into it as it disappeared along with the rest.
The scissors disappeared after Stephanie cut the last thread, and she immediately turned her attention to the ground, realizing she was headed towards the water!
Stephanie shrieked in startlement after realizing she was heading towards the water before instantly doing the bubble again, bouncing off it and soaring through the air.
She winced when the weight returned to her and headed towards the water again after bouncing off the ball.
This time, Stephanie curled her body into a ball, landing in the water with a splash.
Stephanie winced as she went underwater, glancing around as everything was white as she had a worried expression on her face.
Suddenly, something caught her from underneath and started lifting her up from underwater, resurfacing as Stephanie coughed a few times.
"Are you alright, Stephanie?" Stephanie opened her eyes after hearing a familiar voice speak to her, glancing over to see the kid holding her in his hand.
He was soaked from head to toe in the water as he held Stephanie in his hand as she sat in a small puddle in his palm.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Stephanie coughed as her long hair returned to her natural hair color. "What about you?"
"I'm a little stiff from having to be cramped in that room," the kid responded after Stephanie asked. "It kept getting tighter on me even if I tried to break out."
"You were almost crushed?!" Stephanie exclaimed in shock.
The kid nodded his head after Stephanie exclaimed in shock and glanced down at the ground, noticing the water started to drop as he removed his goggles single-handedly.
Stephanie glanced over the kid's hand and glanced down at the ground, watching as the water soaked into the floor of the white space, disappearing out of sight.
"What… happened?" Stephanie slowly asked in confusion, glancing over at the kid.
The kid shrugged his shoulders after Stephanie asked before placing her down on the ground, allowing her to step off his palm.
Deciding to look, Stephanie stepped off the kid's palm, and when her feet touched the ground, the grass she had seen before started to grow from underneath her feet after breaking through the white floor.
Stephanie watched as the grass grew over Stephanie's height as she yelped a little in startlement.
The kid blinked after witnessing the grass growing and watched as Stephanie pushed the grass to the side as she walked out of the bundle, walking away from it as she looked confused.
As she took steps back, moss grew from underneath her feet before stopping after removing her foot from the footprint.
"Stephanie, look," the kid pointed as Stephanie stopped walking for a moment. "The greenery is growing from your work!"
"It is?" Stephanie asked with confusion before looking down at her long hair.
Stephanie's long hair was now green as Stephanie glanced down at her feet, watching as the grass once again grew over Stephanie's height.
Stephanie stepped out of the new bundle of grass and walked over to the kid, watching her footprints leave behind moss as she walked.
"You're right," Stephanie nodded her head in agreement. "It is from me!"
But then she paused a little and glanced down at the ground, placing her hand down for a moment before removing it, watching as a beautiful flower broke through the solid white floor.
"Now I realize what this room means," Stephanie spoke as she glanced back up. "This used to be a beautiful garden."
Stephanie kneels in front of the bloomed flower she grew, and the kid listens to her from behind.
"But… after an… incident," Stephanie slowly spoke, ducking her head a little. "Everything was paved down and refurbished into an office space with endless hallways to no exit and with imaginary monsters haunting the place."
Stephanie paused a little as she moved her hands down and placed her hands near the flower, adding as she smiled, not noticing her hair had started glowing green.
"Let's regrow this beautiful place." Stephanie smiled to herself, opening her eyes as they were glowing in emerald-green.
Instantly, pluses of waves went through the earth, and immediately, greenery took everything over in sight, covering the place in beautiful gardens and turning the white room into a forest.
The kid was startled by the sudden growth of the forest that he instantly stood up to his height but flinched when his bag accidentally hooked onto a growing vine.
He watched as everything was taken over by bushes, trees, flowers, so many beautiful plants that he could barely see anything white anymore.
Soon, the kid's bag slipped out of the vine and dropped him into a tree, causing him to grip onto the tree if he accidentally falls again.
He glanced up at the surface of the white room and watched as an arrow was launched into the sky, covering it in a beautiful sky blue color with white clouds.
After watching the arrow, the kid notices everything had stopped, seeing the once white place is now a massive garden that he felt like he was back in the forest near the Motherlobe.
Before he could get down from the tree to find Stephanie, something slowly rose in front of him, causing the kid to flinch in startlement at the sudden object that appeared.
But the kid stopped when he recognized the being after it reached its full height, towering almost thirteen or twelve feet tall.
The being opened their eyes, revealing their familiar childish eyes along with their emerald-green eyes.
"Stephanie?" The kid blinked in surprise.
The being nodded her head yes after the kid blinked, revealing herself to be in the appearance of a nature goddess.
Her skin was made of teakwood with texture but had the same facial structure as her ordinary human self.
Stephanie's long hair had long strands of willow branches as she wore a long-sleeved, dark green dress that reached down to her ankles made of soft moss, and her bare feet had bundles of roots that acted as legs.
"There you are!" Stephanie sighed after glancing up at him. "I was worried that the forest I grew might have overtaken you without me noticing."
"No," the kid said, shaking his head after Stephanie sighed. "I got myself hooked onto a vine and then dropped into a tree."
Stephanie chuckled after the kid explained and reached up with both of her hands cupped together, patiently waiting for him to go into her palms.
"Sorry about that," Stephanie apologized as a dark brown blush appeared on her cheeks, watching him get into her palms after using a levitation ability of his. "I must've been too engrossed in growing the entire forest."
"It's okay," the kid assured her as he gently patted Stephanie's thumb as Stephanie smiled softly. "We all make mistakes."
Stephanie chuckled again after the kid assured her and turned her body around before giving him a careful hug that startled him from the suddenness.
"Thank you so much for helping me!" Stephanie thanked him, allowing some tears to prick the corners of her eyes.
The kid smiled after Stephanie had thanked him before returning the hug the best he could, managing to wrap his arms halfway around Stephanie's wooden neck.
"You're welcome, Stephanie." He granted, accepting Stephanie's thanks.
Stephanie smiled more after the kid granted her thanks before everything went to a beautiful colored scene and everything went white.
