Arthur uses a magic thingy to follow Merlin around all day and discovers some interesting facts. He also discovers that Merlin really is an idiot, but then he already knew that. Agravaine is really horrid to Merlin in this, but Arthur doesn't receive any spoilers. Canon compliant. I pay my licence so I reckon that means I own a teeny-weany bit of Merlin.

Merlin is not the only one who can do magic in Camelot. A young girl whose true identity is known only by herself and Gaius has grown up in Camelot all her life. What if Merlin gave different advice and in turn Arthur made a different choice in S5E5: The Disir. Magic would have become accepted in Camelot early in season 5 and changed the entire course of the show. After every dusk and the darkest hour it always comes the dawn. What if Merlin managed to take Arthur to Avalon? What if Arthur lived? First and second chapter will be quite similar to the events from the last episode of season 5, so don't get discouraged! I used it as an introduction to the story.
