The girls were at the Nasty Burger, having their lunch. They wanted to give Danny a break from themselves. Mostly to keep Blinky from teasing him so much. All four Girls bit their Nasty Burgers as everyone watched them in shock. They couldn't believe that they were ghosts and could eat.
"Some ghosts can eat. We need food too." Inky said.
Clyde took a bite of her burger before spotting something on the table. Something that made her froze with her eyes widening.
"Clyde?" Pinky asked, seeing her younger sister shake.
"Sp-Sp-Sp-SPIDER!" Clyde shouted and flew to the ceiling.
Pinky looks down and saw the spider. She sighs and uses her powers to pick the spider up, walk over to the door, open it, and sent the spider in a tree. She turns and walks back to the table.
"It's gone, Clyde. You can come down now." She said.
Clyde slowly flew back down before they heard a laugh.
"Wow, Miss Tough is afraid of spiders!" Dash laughs.
Blinky caught on to what Dash might do and dump her drink on his head.
"You even think about pranking our sister with fake spiders, and you will regret it!" She warns him.
Dash groans and heads for the bathroom. Blinky went to reorder her drink as Clyde sat down.
"I thought you overcame your Arachnophobia, Clyde?" Inky asked.
"I did, but I still don't like spiders," Clyde said, looking down.
Her second eyes also drop, making them look like they were earrings due to how close they were to her ears. Blinky returns and knew what she was feeling.
"Clyde, you really shouldn't be scare of spiders." She said.
"And what about you? You're still scared of snakes!" Clyde asks her.
"I am not!" Blinky said.
"Oh really? What about the time we decide to watch a little about the Earth. The first thing that appear was a snake, and you jump so bad that you flew towards your room, leaving your dress behind." Pinky told her.
"It surprised me!" Blinky blush.
"Even so, Clyde. You really shouldn't jump at every spider you see. They are harmless." Inky said.
"Just watch out for the poison ones," Blinky asked.
"You're not helping," Pinky told her, hitting her in the head.
Clyde sighs and knew what her sisters were saying. Clyde has gotten over her fear of spiders since she was little. Sadly, it didn't fade completely. She still remembers the time she had to face that fear and find the strength to overcome it.
10-year-old Clyde watch as her Uncle Clydesdale picks up all three of her older sisters with ease as they try to bring him down.
"Come on, fall down!" 11-year-old Blinky said, trying to pull her uncle's arm towards the ground.
"Heh, I'm not going to fall because you ask me, Blinky." He said, laughing.
Clyde was really impressed that her uncle was so strong. He was the strongest of his siblings. Clyde wanted to be just like him. She jumps up and tackles him, actually knocking him to the ground.
"I'm stronger than you!" Clyde said cheerfully.
"You're strong Clyde, but I let you knock me down," Clydesdale said.
"Uncle Clyde, you said you don't play favorites!" 11-year-old Pinky told him.
"And I don't. I was going to let myself fall before your sister jumped me." He said, chuckling.
"Uncle Clyde, how did you get so strong?" Clyde asked.
"Ah! That's the wonders of it. After my father left us, I want to protect my mother from anyone that wanted to hurt her. So, I started to train myself." He said.
"Why?" Clyde asked.
"It's family. The one thing that I cherish over anything." He said.
"Why?" Clyde asked.
"Because I care about them." He said.
"Why?" Clyde asked, making him laugh.
"You'll understand when your older, Clyde," Clydesdale said, messing with her hair.
"Why?" Clyde asked,
"Clyde! Stop asking that!" 11-year-old Inky said, fixing her glasses.
Clyde looks a bit upset, but Clydesdale scoops up his four nieces into his arms, surprising them.
"Promise me something. Never stop looking after each other." He said.
The four sisters looked at each other and smiles.
"We will!" They said.
"Clyde might need to be watch over more," Blinky added.
"I'm not a baby!" Clyde shouted.
"Maybe not, but you'll always be our baby sister," Blinky said.
Clyde pouted, she hated it when Blinky calls her that. Just because she was a year younger than her sisters doesn't mean she was a baby.
"Clyde, I'm the youngest of my siblings. I have shown them that I'm not a baby. You have to show your sisters that same." Clydesdale said.
Clyde nods as Blinky giggles.
"Baby sister." She teased.
"Blinky, do you want gifts for your birthday next month?" Clydesdale asked.
"YES! I stop calling her that." She said, shocked.
Later...
Clyde walks into her share room with her sisters and found a toy that was used for punching. Remembering how her uncle would show off his power, Clyde decides to pretend to do the same. She started to punch her toy, that rock back, and hit her head. Clyde rubs her head and punches it back harder. It then rocks back and hits her to the ground. Clyde started crying making her father enter the room.
"Clyde?" He asked, kneeling down to his youngest daughter.
"That mean toy hit me!" Clyde cries.
Pac sighs and picks her up.
"Clyde, why did the toy hit you?" He asked as Clyde sniffs.
"I was presented to be like Uncle Clyde, but it hit back." She said.
Pac smiles and wipes a tear away from her.
"Clyde, everything fights back. Your uncle had to deal with people that fought back. Being strong isn't about hitting your opponent, it's also about learning to take hits too." He said.
"But, it's not a good idea to get hit, right?" Clyde asked.
"Yes, but there may be times you might have to take it. I should know. Remember, your mother and I were enemies once. We fought each other time and time again. Trust me, she packs a mean punch and kick." He said, smiling.
Clyde smiles a bit. Pac hugs her and sets her down.
"You're a big girl, Clyde. Save those tears for something that's really needed." He said.
Clyde nods and punches the toy again. She was hit by it, but she stood her ground. Pac smiles as he watches Clyde trying to beat up the toy that beat her back.
The next day...
Clyde join her sisters in their dining room as their father made some pancakes. Clyde sat down near noticing her sister Blinky trying not to giggle. She yawns and looks down. She screams and flew up to the ceiling. Pac heard her and knew what happen.
"Blinkamena Pacman!" He shouted, causing the red-wearing girl to jump.
"Throw that fake spider away. And after breakfast, you're to go to your room!" He said.
"Yes, daddy." She said, sadly.
She grabs the fake spider and throws it in the trash. Pac helped his youngest daughter down and give them their pancakes. After eating, Blinky went towards her room as Pac help Pinky and Inky with their cores. Clyde decides to play some video games to pass the time. What she didn't know is that something was watching her, something with eight legs and drooling over her.
Clyde sighs as she reaches the level she could beat on her own. She turns off the game and walks towards the kitchen to grab a drink. She grabs a cup of water and started to drink it. Not knowing something slowly lowering itself onto the floor. Clyde puts the cup on the counter, since she couldn't reach the sink, and was about to see where her father was when she felt something sticky wrap around her body. Clyde was shocked before her legs were tied up as well. She fell to the ground and knowing some hairy legs next to her.
"Ah, a younging. They're the sweetest food of all."
Clyde slowly looks behind her, and her face gains a terror look. Standing over her was a giant ghost spider that look much like those horror movies she heard about. She was about to scream before her mouth was cover by its web.
"Now, now. I can't have you alert everyone here." It said, picking her up.
"Once I get the rest of you, I'll feast until dawn." It said, starting to warp her up.
Suddenly, a pink ectoblast hit the spider in the back, dropping Clyde. It turns around and was shocked.
"Unhand my daughter." Pinky Sr. said.
She was coming over for her usual visit and saw her youngest daughter in the hands of a Ghost Spider. It hisses at her and tries to shoot its web, but Pinky Sr. dodges them. She flew forward and punches the spider, knocking it back.
Pinky Sr. ran towards her daughter and pulls off the web. Clyde was really scared, but she was shocked to see her mother.
"MOMMY!" She shouted, hugging her.
Pinky Sr. hugs her back, glad she was alright. She turns to the Spider that stood up.
"Mommy? Well, that means more food for me." It said.
Clyde hid behind her mother's leg as the Ghost Spider started to walk up to them. Pinky Sr. wasn't going to let this thing hurt her youngest daughter. However, Pinky Sr. was caught but surprise when a web grabs her and took her to the ceiling. Clyde looks up and saw her whole family trapped in a spider web. The Ghost Spider looks at Clyde and laughs.
"It was easy to catch the rest of your family. The only reason I went after you last because I knew you will be the easiest prey to captured. After all, your fear makes it easy." It said as Clyde backs away.
She was so scared that she couldn't even think. Her face was frozen with fear as the Spider got ready to wrap her again. Clyde turned her eyes back to her parents and her sisters, who looked back at her. Clyde looks back at the spider and shuts her eyes.
"Fear is normal, Clyde. Even I get afraid. Fear is part of our nature. But sometimes, you must overcome that fear to show your true strength."
Clyde's eyes open when she remembers her uncle's words. Clyde looks back at her family and felt something inside her spark. The spider got ready to wrap her up until it notices something different about Clyde. Her eyes were glowing, and she was letting out an orange aura around her body. Clyde pull back a fist and flew at the spider, hitting it in the face with full force. The Spider was knock out of the house and was sent flying into the Ghost Zone.
Clyde blinks as she felt the power die down. She looks at her hands before passing out.
Today...
After that day, Clyde's fear of Spiders die down, and she started to train herself to protect her family. Lucky, their mother was able to free them from the web and told Clyde had a special power to this day she still hasn't unlocked.
"Clyde? Are you okay?" Pinky asked.
"Huh? Oh, yeah! I'm fine!" She said, snapping from her thoughts.
"Are you sure? You look as if you saw another spider." Blinky teased.
"Keep it up, and I'll put a real-life snake in your dress!" Inky said.
Clyde rolls her eyes. Blinky would never stop, but it was made her likable. Besides, She already had a plan to get back at her teasing. The Waiter walks up and gives Blinky a wrapped-up hot dog. Blinky thanks him and opens it. She screams and flew out of the Nasty Burger, leaving her red dress behind. Clyde laughs as Inky and Pinky sigh.
And here's the origin of Clyde that you all wanted to see. Clyde wanted to be strong like her Uncle and was able to overcome her fear of Spiders, though she still doesn't like them.
It appears everyone wants to know the origins of Blinky flirting, so I'll cover that in the next chapter. But I see no one wants to know of an origin for Inky. I'm trying to think of one on my own, but it might take a while. Remember, if there is an origin of Inky you want to know, please tell me. And after I cover Inky's Origin, I'll be doing my Group Lemon. I've already come up with an idea for it as well. But I'm saving it for later.
