Selina helps out at the hospital
One day Selina, James and Meowth were having a time of their lives. Selina had bought a new car for her and James to use and they were having a drive with it. Selina was driving it. "This is great Jessie, we finally have our own car" said James. "It's all thanks to all the money we took from Neon Town" grinned Meowth, who was sitting in the back. "So Jessie what are you plans for today?" said James, wondering if they were going after pokemon for the boss today. "Oh let's just enjoy a long drive in this car today James," said Selina "we did a lot for the boss by sending him those fossil pokemon. So let's just relax for the day". "I agree with Jessie's plan" said Meowth "besides driving around everywhere will give us a good sighting of wild pokemon". So the trio agreed to be all carefree today.
Suddenly Selina noticed a white van coming up the road very fast and she quickly made a stop, just before the van passed the car. "Maniac!" Selina shouted out of the window. "With that driving there's going to be an accident" said James. As soon as James said those words there was a crashing noise. "Oh-oh I think you jinxed it James" said Meowth. "Come on boys," sighed Selina "we better go and see what's happened and check to see if no one has died". "But the police will be on the scene Jessie" said James. "James," said Selina, putting her hands on her hips, "we are wearing normal clothes so no one would see we're Team Rocket. And Officer Jenny will want to know what happened and we are witnesses this time. Now come on".
The trio got out of the car and ran over to where the crash was. What they found was not a good sight. The white van had been completely turned over and broken glass and spilled oil was on the road. "What a mess;" said Meowth "that's what happens when you drive carelessly". "Come on James we better check to see if any people or pokemon have died" said Selina. James went to check on the driver of the van. The driver wasn't dead, but he was badly hurt and was bleeding like mad. Selina opened the van door to see what damage had done, but what she saw in the van wasn't pleasant. "James, Meowth get over here now" said Selina. James and Meowth ran over to where Selina was and they too were shocked with what they saw. A lot of pokemon were in the van and they all badly hurt because of the accident. There was an Ivysaur, Kakuna, Nidoking, Dodrio, Pinsir, Weepinbell, Voltorb, Cubone, Raticate, Sandslash, Nidorino, Oddish, Paras, Parasect, Hitmonlee, Rhyhorn, Tauros, Venonat, Poliwag and Poliwhirl. (The same pokemon from a chansey operation episode) Selina remembered it was Jessie and James who got this pokemon hurt in the anime, but now it was different. 'This is no time for thinking right now' she thought. She pulled out a phone from her pocket and called for help at once. "Why don't we take the pokemon to the boss?" said Meowth. Selina hit Meowth on the head with her fist. "Don't be cruel!" she snapped "these pokemon need help from the pokemon center and as you can see they will be of no use to the boss in this state!" "Sorry" winced Meowth, in pain.
It wasn't long till the police and ambulances turned up. The hurt driver and pokemon were placed on the ambulances at once. Selina told Officer Jenny what had happened. "I'll be placing that man under arrest once he's taken care off at the hospital" said Officer Jenny. Just then Officer Jenny's radio picked up and there was a message from Nurse Joy. "This isn't good," said Officer Jenny "all of the pokemon centers are full so we need to take the pokemon to the hospital at once". Selina remembered Dr Proctor and his hospital, and she actually remembered what Jessie was taught at the medical school for Chanseys. "Please let me come with you to the hospital Officer Jenny," she said "I know some knowledge about caring for sick and injured pokemon". "Alright follow the ambulances in your car" said Officer Jenny. "Right Officer Jenny" said Selina. She, James and Meowth got into the car for the hospital at once.
"Jessie do you really know how to care for injured pokemon?" asked Meowth. "Yes I do," answered Selina "I once studied at a medical school for Chanseys. I'll explain about that another time, right now those pokemon need serious help". The trio followed the ambulances all the way to the hospital where Dr Proctor worked in. "Okay Meowth you stay here and guard the car, James follow me because I'll need your help in there" said Selina. "Rodger" said James and Meowth together. Selina locked the car and placed her key in her pocket, and then she and James entered the hospital.
The hospital was just the same from the anime episode a Chansey operation, and the gang was there. Selina introduced herself to Dr Proctor and says she was here to help the pokemon. Dr Proctor, like the anime, tried to flirt with Selina but Selina had none of that. "We have work to do!" she reminded him. She and James quickly changed into medical clothing and so did the gang.
Selina noticed the Cubone, crying its head off. "Oh there, there Cubone" she said, picking it up in her arms and giving it a cuddle, "that accident was horrible, I know. But it's all over now and I am here to help you feel better". Selina's voice felt so soothing that Cubone cheered up at once. "Chansey check over Cubone and see nothing's wrong with its head". Chansey came over to check on Cubone at once. Selina helped out a lot with the pokemon and the gang and James helped out too. Soon Selina came to Weepinbell who had a Voltorb stuck in its mouth with Misty. "Oh dear" sighed Selina. She knew Voltorb had the ability to explode when they get all emotional. "Misty can you sooth Weepinbell while I try to deal with Voltorb?" "Sure" said Misty. While Misty tended to Weepinbell, Selina massaged Voltorb to make it feel more relaxed. Once Voltorb was relaxed, Selina carefully pulled out Voltorb. "Phew thank goodness for that" sighed Selina, happy she didn't make Voltorb explode. Just then she noticed Dodrio, who had all three heads tied up in knots, and walked over to it at once. "Now Dodrio what happened to you then?" Dodrio cawed a lot, but of course Selina didn't understand. Like in the anime Dr Proctor tried to give Dodrio an injection for anaesthetic but fell asleep after Dodrio made the injection hit him. "The only way to do these is make Dodrio fall unconscious," said Selina "Chansey please use sing to make this Dodrio go to sleep. But sing gently or you'll make everyone fall asleep". Chansey sang as quietly she could and Dodrio fell asleep. "Thank you Chansey" said Selina. Chansey was happy to help. "Okay Ash and Brock can you help me untangle Dodrio please?" "Sure" answered Brock. It wasn't easy but Selina, Ash and Brock managed to get Dodrio untangled. "There we are" sighed Selina.
Soon all of the pokemon were taken care off and Dr Proctor soon woke up. "I have to say Miss you did a really great job on taking care of the pokemon" Dr Proctor said to Selina. "I agree did you study pokemon medicine?" said Brock. "I did actually," said Selina "and it was at a nursing school for Chanseys". Selina told James, Dr Proctor and the gang her story about when she studied to become a pokemon nurse at the school for Chanseys. (The same story from Ignorance is Blissey) "But you see as I wasn't really a Chansey I couldn't graduate and my dreams on becoming a nurse went down the drain". Everyone felt sorry for Selina, especially James. "I tried many times to achieve on become actress, models, idols and other things, but no matter how hard I tried, I didn't achieve on anything. It was like the whole world was against me and fate didn't want me to be happy". Everyone felt sorrier for Selina now. "You know miss," said Dr Proctor "if you like I can help you get into a proper school for pokemon nursing. With that skill you just showed you'll do well at it". "That is very kind of you doctor, but I'm afraid I have to refuse that offer;" said Selina "you see James here and I have a job thanks to a man who runs a company, who we are both indebted to". She secretly winked at James because she was telling a lie. "Jessie is right;" said James "you see we both had trouble finding a job and life for ourselves before, but thanks to that man we were able to get back up with our lives. So we can't really leave our job just yet". "I see," said Dr Proctor "well if you ever change your mind in the future miss, come to me and I will help you out any time". "Thank you doctor" said Selina.
The gang turned to Selina and James. "I can't believe you've had such an unfair life ma'am" said Misty. "Let me say this Misty;" said Selina "life is always unfair no matter what you do or how successful you come and you always can't get what you want. And you three kids should be grateful with what you've got and with what lives you have, even if there are times when your life drives you crazy". The gang agreed with Selina's words; they've had difficult times before and during their pokemon journey but they still keep going on.
After the pokemon were all treated and getting rested in the hospital, Selina and James said goodbye to Dr Proctor and they left in the car. They told Meowth about what had happened and Jessie's story. "I have to say Jessie, I was surprised with the story you told us about going to a school for Chanseys," said James "I mean I know you told me before that life never went you wanted it to but still". "Well there are still a lot of things you don't know about me James" said Selina. "So are you not going to become a nurse Jessie?" asked James. Selina sighed in disbelief. "James if I did quit Team Rocket and became a nurse I still wouldn't be free of Team Rocket" she said. "What do you mean?" asked Meowth. 'Sheesh these two are so dumb' thought Selina. "I'll tell you what I mean;" said Selina "Team Rocket members of the past who have quit, retired or been fired had been watched by other Team Rocket members to make sure they didn't reveal anything about Team Rocket". "Really?" said James. "Yes," said Selina "the boss doesn't let his own members off so easily you know. And one more thing I've hear he kills those who betray him and such". James and Meowth gasped in shock. "I don't believe it" said James. "You should believe because it's the truth" said Selina. "Yikes;" said Meowth "I never knew it was like that and yet I worked as an assistant to him before". "That shows you two still don't know a thing about our own boss" said Selina. "I guess we just continue doing what we are doing now and not do anything suspicious to the boss right Jessie?" said James. "Yes," said Selina "but remember I don't want to raise our ranks any higher than what we are now because I don't want to go around hurting innocent people". "Rodger" said James and Meowth. They didn't want to get higher ranks either.
Selina couldn't stop thinking about how the rocket trio never knew what they're boss was really like, and she wondered why she became Jessie in the first place. Back in the real world she hated Team Rocket because of all the cruel things they did. She hated Giovanni most of all. In her heart Selina wished she could have herself, James and Meowth leave Team Rocket and live normal happy lives, but as she said to James and Meowth already Giovanni wouldn't let them off the hook so easily. What she decided to do was not getting caught up in any of Giovanni's barbaric missions and secretly betray Team Rocket by warning Officer Jenny, and other people in the anime about Team Rocket and any other villains. As long as Giovanni didn't find out or she and James and Meowth would be killed and she didn't want that of course.
'I still don't understand why I am Jessie in this world,' Selina thought 'but I will have James, Meowth and I live happier than they really did in the anime'.
Selina will meet Blissey in the Johto region, but i'm not sure if to have Blissey travel with Selina or not.
