Selina deals with James' parents and fiancé
One day Selina and Meowth noticed a sign on a lamp post. It was a missing person sign and there was a picture of a small boy. Selina knew it was James and she turned to him. "James that boy is you isn't it?" she asked him. At first James went silent and was going to pretend that it wasn't, like he did in the anime. But then Selina grabbed James's hands. "James it's no good trying to pretend that boy isn't you," she said "I can easily tell that is you. Please tell me what's going on here?" James silently looked at Selina and then he sighed. "Okay I'll tell you" he said.
James explained about how his wealthy parents always controlled his life; telling him what to do, what to dress, where to go and force him to do many, many lessons like a proper aristocratic boy. Next he explained about Jessebelle, the girl his parents wanted him to marry. "I take it you did like her one time, but you realised she wasn't what you thought she was?" asked Selina, remembering how James agreed to marry Jessebelle in the past once he saw her picture. "Well when my parents showed me her photo I did agree to marry her because of her cute and pretty looks," James admitted "but when I met her in person I noticed right away she was just like my parents. Bossy and telling me what to do all the time and never letting me have any freedom. It was because of her that I finally ran away from home because I wanted to live freely like a real person. I had enough of the aristocratic life". Selina and Meowth felt sorry for James. "So this missing person's poster means they trying to make you come back home" said Selina. "What are we going to do?" asked Meowth. "Simple, we go to James's parents house and confront them" said Selina. "What?!" gasped James "are you kidding me Jessie?" "No James I'm not," answered Selina "you haven't confronted your parents about your desires all your life and now is the good time to do it. Let me make this clear, if you continue to let that Jessebelle and your parents continue to try and control you, you will never truly be free and you'll never get that girl off your back. So we are doing it now and today". James had no choice but to obey Selina because he felt that she was right yet again.
So James dressed himself in a smart suit and Selina dressed herself in a pretty dress. She kept Jessie's hairstyle and make up the same way. Meowth just stayed as he was. "Okay let's do this" said Selina. The trio made their way to James's mansion. "Wow this is nice home you've got here Jimmie" said Meowth. James just stayed silent because he didn't want to come back here. Selina noticed a limousine parked outside the mansion. 'The gang is here' she thought. She hoped this wouldn't be too much trouble. "Okay boys time to go in," said Selina "you know the normal rule Meowth; no speaking and only attack when I tell you to". "Got it" said Meowth. The trio walked through the gates.
At that time the gang were inside the mansion looking at some coffins, which the butler said were James's parents. Meowth was walking on all fours like a normal Meowth. The gang were surprised to see them. James was still feeling a bit uneasy, but Selina held his hand to assure him it was okay. Everyone went inside the mansion. Selina and Meowth were surprise of how gorgeous it was in the mansion. The trio went up to the coffins. James and Selina stared at each other and Selina nodded. "You can quit this act thank you mother and father," said James, bravely, "I know this is all a set up and that you are still alive".
As soon as James said that, his parents burst out of the coffins. "Their deaths was fake?!" gasped Misty. "What's going on here?" asked Ash. "I'll tell you what's going on," said James "this was all a trick to get me to come back home". The gang couldn't believe what they were hearing. Selina stared crossly at James' parents. "And who is this lady with you James?" asked James' mother. "Nice to meet you sir and ma'am," said Selina, politely, "my name is Jessie and I am James' friend". "Well we thank you for bringing James back here miss," said James' father "James it was really bad of you for running away. Now it is time you took responsibility by marrying your fiancé and continue the family line". "Jessebelle dear we've brought James here" said James' mother. "Yes mother" said a voice.
Just then a woman who looked just like Jessie entered the room. "It's Jessebelle" James whispered to Selina. Selina frowned; she remembered how bossy, spoilt, selfish and greedy and abusive Jessebelle was in the anime. James wanted to run away after seeing Jessebelle again, but Selina held his hand tightly to remind him he needed to stand up to her now. "James dearest I've missed you" said Jessebelle. James said nothing. Jessebelle noticed Selina and asked her who she was. "If you must know I am James' friend Jessie" said Selina. "Oh really?" said Jessebelle, pretending to be thankful, "well thank you for finding James for me". "James it is time you got taught a lesson from running away years ago" said James' mother. Jessebelle got out a whip while laughing; this was James' punishment. "This is like last time!" cried out James, and he started to run around in panic. The gang couldn't believe what they were seeing. Selina and Meowth were shocked too. "What do we do?" Meowth whispered to Selina. Instead of answering Meowth's question, Selina stepped forward angrily.
Before anyone could notice Selina slapped Jessebelle on the face really hard. "You!" gasped Jessebelle "how dare you do this to my beautiful face!" Selina slapped her again. "I shall slap you as much as I like you b****!" shouted Selina, continuing slapping Jessebelle "whether it be a hundred, thousand or even a million times more!" Everyone was shocked with what they were seeing. "Gosh have you seen anyone so violent?" said Misty. Ash and Brock stared at her because Misty did get violent when she was angry. "What?" said Misty, having no clue what they were on about. The boys said nothing.
Jessebelle got up angrily. "How dare you do this to a lady!" she shouted. "You a lady?" said Selina "oh please give me a break! You're just some spoiled, selfish, greedy, cruel b**** who goes at great length to get what you want including tormenting and abusing people and making fun of them!" She turned to James' parents. "And you two, you're worse! James told me how you treated him as a child; putting him through strict high education, not allowing him to play like other kids and never caring about his feelings, and treating him no more than a son but more of a pawn to continue the family line and sorts. You're the worse type of parents I've ever seen! It's no wonder James ran away from home and I don't blame him for that". James looked like he was going to cry; no one had ever stood up for him before like that and he felt grateful. Jessebelle got really angry now and demanded to have a pokemon battle with Jessie. "If I win James will stay here and we will get married" she said. "Okay, but if I win you will stop being James' fiancé and he and I will leave to continue traveling" said Selina. Jessebelle agreed; only because she was confident that she would win.
Everyone went outside so Jessebelle and Selina could have their battle. It was to be a one on one battle. Jessebelle sent out a Vileplume. Selina sent out her Flareon. "Flareon will have an advantage over Vileplume being a grass type" said Brock. James was getting worried about this; he wondered if Jessie could win this or not. "Don't worry James," whispered Meowth "Jessie can handle this; she's a tough trainer. And anyway she told me she has back up just in case". "Oh okay" said James, nervously. Hopkins, the butler, declared the battle to begin.
"Alright Flareon use flamethrower" said Selina. "Dodge it and use stun spore Vileplume" said Jessebelle. Vileplume dodged the flamethrower attack and sprayed out a stun spore attack. "Escape the powder with dig Flareon" said Selina. Flareon dug into the ground, avoiding the stun spore attack. "Now come out and use bite". Flareon came out of the ground and bit Vileplume's petal head hard. Poor Vileplume cried out in pain. "Ouch that must hurt" said Ash. "That Jessie is doing pretty well actually" said Misty. "I agree, she could become a very strong pokemon trainer" said Brock. James' parents watched carefully. "Shake that pokemon off and use solar beam Vileplume" said Jessebelle. Vileplume managed to shake Flareon off its head and then started to get ready to use solar beam. "Despite Flareon is a fire type it may still get a lot of damage from the solar beam attack" said Brock. "Wonder what Jessie will do now?" said Ash. James couldn't help but worry. Vileplume stored up a lot of energy then fired a solar beam attack. "Use substitute Flareon" said Selina. Flareon created a copy of itself and the solar beam attacked the copy, instead of the real Flareon. "Wow what was that move?" said Misty. "That was substitute;" answered Brock "when a pokemon uses substitute it creates an exact copy of itself, and the copy takes the attack of an opponent protecting the real pokemon". "Wow that's cool," said Misty "Jessie really does know how to battle". James' parents were starting to be impressed by how Jessie was battling. "Come on Flareon time to finish this," said Selina "use fire blast". Flareon released a fire blast attack. "Oh no Vileplume dodge that" said Jessebelle. It was no good; Vileplume was unable to dodge that attack. Vileplume got a direct from the fire blast attack and fainted. "Vileplume is unable to battle, therefore the winner is Miss Jessie" said Hopkins. Selina smirked with her victory.
"That Vileplume didn't have a chance;" said Brock "fire blast is the strongest fire type attack there is". (Brock doesn't know about the later fire attacks yet) Jessebelle couldn't believe that she had lost. "Well Jessebelle," said Selina "I won this battle so you must keep your promise of quitting being James' fiancé". But Jessebelle took her defeat really hard and started throwing a tantrum. "No!" she shouted "this cannot be! No one has ever beaten me and James is supposed to me mine! Mine, mine, mine!" She was really acting like a spoiled brat now. The gang couldn't believe Jessebelle's behaviour. "Well, well, well," smirked Selina "a lady crying out just like a baby. I'm sure tv and newspapers will be delighted to know about this. Don't you agree Meowth?" "Meowth!" said Meowth. And he presented a video camera and tape recorder he had secretly held onto. "What is that?" asked Jessebelle. "I'm glad you asked," smirked Selina "I had a feeling a spoiled, selfish, cry baby brat such as yourself would never keep your end of the deals. That's why I had your words and all of your actions recorded as back up. Now what will all of Kanto say when they find out about a very rich woman that acts just like a spoiled baby? And I wonder how much money I'll get from selling this information?" "No! Stop! Stop!" shouted James' father, so suddenly.
James' parents didn't want any of the info out on the news; it would make their reputation a real laughing stock. Jessebelle got all embarrassed and begged to not have her embarrassing self-shown to the public. Selina sneakily promised she wouldn't show it off to the premises as long as Jessebelle breaks her engagement to James and leave him alone, and James' parents allows him to continue traveling with her. But of course she told them that if any of them broke their promises, and if Jessebelle continued to pester James she would break the deal and sell off Jessebelle's childish actions to the press. Having no choice Jessebelle and James' parents agreed. So Jessebelle left the house in tears because of her humiliation. The gang left too.
James was grateful to Selina for helping him become free of his fiancé and parents' controlling ways. He kept on thanking her and hugging her out of gratitude, as well as crying tears of happiness. After finally getting him to calm down, Selina asked James to show her around the house. So that's what James did; he even introduced Selina and Meowth to his pet pokemon Growlithe which he called Growlie.
It was soon getting late, so the trio decided to stay the night at James' house. Selina kept her recordings of Jessebelle just in case the parents did anything. "It feels nice having to stay in something like this" said Meowth. The trio were alone so Meowth was free to talk. "We're only staying for one night though Meowth;" said Selina "we need to get back to traveling tomorrow". James was stroking Growlie. "I still can't believe that I really am free of Jessebelle" he said. "Now you know why I had you confront that woman and your parents James?" said Selina "it's as I said before you would never be free of your fears or pasts unless you confront them". "You're right as always Jessie" said James.
The next morning the trio got ready to leave. James was telling Growlie to take care of his parents for him. Hopkins was asking Selina to take care of James. "Don't you worry Mr Hopkins;" said Selina "I keep James in order all the time". So after saying their goodbyes to Hopkins and Growlie the trio set off. "I feel like I really am free now" smiled James. "But what if your parents try to make you come home again?" said Meowth. "Not to worry Meowth," said Selina "I've still got the recordings of Jessebelle's behaviour. So if that family or that woman does do something again I will be ready to bring them on their knees". James and Meowth smiled. "So Jessie what are we going to do now?" asked James. "Well there is supposed to be a forest somewhere that's supposed to hold Farfetch'd, so we'll go there and check it out" said Selina. What Selina was thinking about was the 'So Near, Yet So Farfetch'd' episode after the James and his family episode.
So the trio were back on the quests again. James was happy from being free from Jessebelle and his family, and Selina was proud of herself for dealing with that spoiled woman Jessebelle.
I told you I was going to have Selina deal with Jessebelle good. Don't worry she won't be appearing again because of Selina's threat.
