The Princess Festival
Today the day of the princess annual festival had arrived. Selina was happy with all the sales that was on for women and she brought a lot of stuff. Dresses, accessories, shoes, makeup, anything she liked. James and Meowth were not happy because they had to carry her bags. "Jessie I'm getting bored and tired" complained James. "Come on James it's only for one day, let me enjoy this time while I've got the chance," said Selina "and any way I got some gear for you two in the sales too". She got some men's clothes for James and some toys and accessories for Meowth. "Wow you are so nice Jessie" said Meowth, gratefully. "Now use my Starmie to take the bags back to the house and then quickly come back here because I wish to continue with the sales" said Selina. James and Meowth sighed and did as they were told.
While James and Meowth were gone Selina saw the Lickitung Jessie caught in the anime. "There you are" she said; she wanted to catch it. She had a big canteen of pokemon food ready with her. "Here you go Lickitung" she said, showing off the food. Lickitung ate all the food in one go. "Wow you were hungry there". Lickitung then licked Selina's face to say thank you. "You're welcome I think" she said. She quickly wiped her face with some cleaner wipes because she remembered you could let rashes if you don't clean off Lickitung's saliva off you. Selina quickly tossed a pokeball and caught Lickitung. "I'll be keeping this pokemon," she said "but I'll need to figure out what pokemon to trade for Benny's Wobbuffet in the Johto region. I'll figure it out later, right now I have sales to sort out".
After James and Meowth came back, the trio went to the story where there was a massive sale of stuff being sold 90% original price. Selina had a good fight with getting all the stuff she wanted, she even grabbed the blue flowery dress before Misty saw it. (The same one Misty and Jessie fought over in the anime) James and Meowth kept out of the way till Selina was done. It wasn't long till the announcement of the Queen of the princess festival competition was announced. "Great it's time at last" said Selina.
Selina was soon taking part in the beauty contest; she wore the same kimono dress Jessie wore in the anime. Then the announcer presented the pokemon princess doll set. 'How cute' thought Selina. She really wanted that doll set. The announcer explained about the tournament the women had to challenge to win the doll set. Selina was so ready for this.
In the first round Selina easily defeated her opponent's Primeape with her Starmie's psychic attack. Selina continued defeating her opponent's one by one, until at last it was time for her to battle Misty. Selina remembered how Misty never had her own princess doll set because she only got her sister's hand me downs. She also remembered Jessie never got her own doll set either because she grew up in a poor family. 'Sorry Misty but that doll set will be mine' she thought.
Misty started off by calling out Pikachu. "I thought you'd do that," said Jessie "go Nidoqueen". "Okay Pikachu, thunderbolt" said Misty. "Tsk, tsk, tsk," said Selina "Nidoqueen stand your ground". Nidoqueen just stood still while getting hit by the thunderbolt, but of course it didn't do anything because it didn't affect her. "Misty, Nidoqueen is part ground type as well as a poison type so electric attacks won't work on it" said Brock. "Oh I forgot that" said Misty. "Nidoqueen use blizzard" said Selina. Nidoqueen blew a blizzard attack towards Pikachu. "Quick Pikachu use quick attack to dodge it" said Misty. Pikachu got out of the way with quick attack, and then started charging towards Nidoqueen. Selina smirked and ordered Nidoqueen to use counter. Pikachu got bounced back after it tried to tackle Nidoqueen. "Nidoqueen use poison sting" said Selina. Nidoqueen fired some poisonous darts and Pikachu got hit by them. "Pikachu are you okay?" asked Misty. Pikachu was hurt but he was still good to go. "Nidoqueen use blizzard" said Selina. Nidoqueen blew a blizzard attack and this time Pikachu got hit by it and became frozen. "Oh no Pikachu!" cried Ash from the sides. "Now Nidoqueen use double kick" said Selina. Nidoqueen kicked Pikachu while he was still in the block of ice. Pikachu was free from the ice, but he also fainted. Selina had won the first round. "That woman Jessie is a good battler," Misty admitted "but I will beat her and get those dolls". She released Starmie next to battle. Funny thing is Psyduck didn't come out like in the anime.
Misty and Selina had a real rival battle against each other. First Nidoqueen got defeated by Misty's Starmie. Then Starmie got defeated by Selina's Exeggutor, then Exeggutor got defeated by Brock's Vulpix, then Vulpix got defeated by Selina's Starmie and then Starmie got defeated by Ash's Bulbasaur.
So now Selina was down to one final pokemon and she called out Venomoth to battle Bulbasaur. "Alright Bulbasaur use razor leaf" said Misty. "Venomoth use double team" said Selina. Venomoth created copies of itself and Bulbasaur's leaves missed the real Venomoth. "Use psybeam Venomoth" said Selina. Venomoth fired a psybeam attack and it hit Bulbasaur; as Bulbasaur was part poison type, the psybeam attack was super effective. "Are you okay Bulbasaur?" asked Misty. Bulbasaur could still fight. "Ash I fear this is going to end up bad for Misty;" said Brock "that Jessie woman is a very strong battler". "But Misty is strong too," said Ash "I'm sure she can beat her". "Bulbasaur use vine whip" said Misty. Bulbasaur let out its whips to try and hit Venomoth. "Use disable" said Selina. Venomoth's disable attack prevented Bulbasaur from attacking. "Psybeam again Venomoth" said Selina. Before Misty could tell Bulbasaur to do anything, Venomoth hit Bulbasaur with psybeam again. Bulbasaur fainted from that attack, making Selina the winner.
So Selina became the queen of the princess festival, won the pokemon doll set and got a picture with Fiorella Cappuccino. Misty was very disappointed that she didn't win the doll set. But she promised herself she will get her own princess doll set one day.
That evening the trio teleported back to their house to put all their new stuff away. "That's a very beautiful pokemon princess doll set you won Jessie" said Meowth. "I always wanted something like this," said Selina "today was a great day". James was relieved the princess festival was over, now he didn't have to carry anymore shopping bags, but he was happy for Selina. Today had been a real fun day for Selina.
Sorry If people wanted Misty to win the dolls, but no Selina got them. She will still get Wobbuffet in the Johto region.
