The Slime and the Dream

Rubi: This is it Kazuto! You're going down!

I bet you're wondering what exactly is going on, well Rubi and I are going through our weekly training session in the cave behind our house. Over the last couple of weeks she has been helping my dad with my magic as we had regular sparring matches. Right now the two of us were testing out our new defensive skills that we've been practicing, recently I learned how to create barriers both large enough to defend myself and others as well as personal barriers that greatly improve my defense and resistances to attacks.

Kazuto: Is that all you got, I'm getting sleepy over here!

I nimbly avoided more of Rubi's magic bullets as my Multilayer Barrier protected me from any damage, as I closed the gap I felt this was a good opportunity to try out one of my newest magic attacks.

Kazuto: Dark Hand!

By focusing my magic I was able to create a black and blue construct that resembled multiple arms that sprouted from my back that attacked Rubi as she used her wings to hover out of the way. As she avoided the fourth attack I combined the hands into a single large arm that slammed the ground hard enough to cause a shockwave that sent debris towards her as she used a barrier to keep herself safe.

Rubi: Not bad Kazuto, but don't think I'm out of the fight just yet!

She harnessed her power as several magic circles surrounded me in a large ring, I then sensed a large concentration of magicules creating a vortex of energy that resembled a purple tornado of magic that sent me to the ceiling. After I crashed I began to fall as I tried out the new technique Rubi taught me, before I hit the ground I sprouted a pair of black dragon wings from my back as I hovered a few inches from the ground.

Rubi: Nice to see you've been practicing that new technique I showed you last week. It looks like you've gotten used to it.

Kazuto: Thanks Rubi, still feels a little odd having wings in my human form though. I normally only have them when I change into my bat form.

Rubi: You'll get used to it, what's important is to keep practicing and before long it'll feel like second nature to you. Why don't we stop here and move on to the next part of our training.

We settled down to the ground as I used Body Double to create a duplicate of myself. The familiar black mist flowed from my body as a perfect duplicate of myself stood in front of us about 4 feet away.

Rubi: I must say it's uncanny how it looks like you down to the last detail.

Kazuto: I know what you mean, I've even started practicing on how to control it remotely with my thoughts but I'm still struggling.

Rubi: I see. I guess Kuyo must have figured out how to do that with his doubles when he fought you back at school. The fact he was able to control that many doubles at once is astonishing, but if he can do it I'm sure you're more than capable of doing the same.

I looked back at my clone and promised myself that I would double my efforts to master this skill I got from Kuyo. After I absorbed his monster powers I gained access to a lot of fire based skills as well as a power increase so now I was stronger than before. Great Sage even told me that thanks to the influx of skills I received I was able to use Degenerate to gain some new abilities which I have been putting into practice lately.

Kazuto: ( I just realized something, whenever I use Mimic how come I see that black mist when I change from one form to another but never when I change from slime to human form? )

Great Sage: Answer: when using Mimic to assume a form larger than yourself black mist created by magicule consumption makes up the difference.

So does that mean I can create an older form too? I guess there's only one way to know for sure. I concentrated on the double in front of me as it was covered in black mist. Rubi was a bit confused about what I was up to but I just told her to watch as the shapeless form grew a bit taller.

Kazuto: Woah check it out!

Rubi: Incredible!

As the mist cleared the double of me looked a bit older and more manlier as it had some muscle added and my face looked a bit more rugged and handsome, in fact if anything I kind of looked like my dad.

Kazuto: Cool! Looks like I can alter its appearance if needed.

I wondered if it was possible to do that to myself, I decided to try it out sometime if it ever became necessary to take on a disguise.

Rubi: Hey Kazuto try to see if you can make it more feminine!

Kazuto: Sure thing!

I was too excited to properly register what Rubi just asked me as I just did as she said.

Rubi: Oh I have an idea, make it look like Moka!

When I heard that the thought came into my head and I couldn't stop my double from taking on that exact form. As the mist disappeared we got a good look at it and it did look kind of cute, in fact it look very beautiful. While it did look like Moka there were some obvious differences; for example her hair and eye color matched mine, the double even had a long blue streak of hair that went over her left eye like me, also the double was still wearing the exact same clothes as me. While I was impressed with how it turned out I felt like I was doing something that I shouldn't be doing by using her appearance.

Kazuto: Stop! Stop! Never mind!

I then caused the double to turn into mist as I absorbed it back into myself.

Rubi: Awwwww it was just getting good! I was gonna have you make it look like me next!

Kazuto: ( I probably shouldn't do that again, if I make the form look female I'll probably make it look like this again, and if the other girls ever found out about it they'll probably kill me for it. Especially the other Moka. )

We decided to just go back to what I originally intended to do with my double, I created another copy in my slime form as I cast Multilayer Barrier on it.

Kazuto: ( Alright Great Sage, I need you to link up my resistances to the double as well. )

Great Sage: Acknowledged.

Once I confirmed that my double was all set to go I cast a barrier that surrounded a generous portion of the area around it as Rubi and I stepped back several feet. I extended my arm as a bluish-black fire ignited in my palm before I threw it at the double.

Kazuto: Time to test out one of my new skills: Black Flame!

Once I threw it the flame erupted into a powerful inferno that seemed to disintegrate my double as the black flames surrounded it in no time. The barrier was doing its job of preventing the flames from leaking out as the fire continued to rage within the barrier for a few minutes, even from where we were standing we could still feel the intensity of the flames from across the cavern.

Rubi: ( gulp ) I have to admit, that new skill of yours is kind of gnarly.

Kazuto: Yeah, too bad about my double though. I better remember to be absolutely careful when using this new skill.

After a while I decided to use Predator to absorb the flames, I was actually afraid to see the remains of my double if any survived. To our shock when the flames were consumed my double was still in the same spot as before without so much as a single burn.

Kazuto/Rubi: NO WAY!!!!!

I picked it up and carefully examined it, even Great Sage confirmed that my double was perfectly intact.

Rubi: That's amazing, I didn't think your skills were so strong that they were able to withstand flames that intense. Kuyo's flames were formidable back when you two fought, but ever since you made them yours they've been strengthened due to your magic.

Kazuto: That means that I really, really need to be careful when using them.

After that I decided to accompany Rubi as we walked to another cavern, this one was actually quite special since I did some remodeling to it for Rubi. Once we arrived we could see the large shed my dad and I built for Rubi to continue her magical research. Right behind it there was a garden filled with sunflowers which she grew from the seeds I picked up from Witch Hill. On the ceiling of this cavern were specially made crystals that imitated the conditions of natural sunlight, these were made using the magic ore I picked up back at Yokai Academy.

Rubi: Kazuto, I honestly can't thank you or your father enough for making all this for me. A little place where I can continue my magical studies in peace as well as a garden of sunflowers from Witch Hill, I am so grateful for all of it.

Kazuto: Don't mention it, I'm just glad to see you happy.

She then grabbed me by the collar as she kissed me as deeply as she could. She then let go of me before hugging me with my head in her chest.

Rubi: I truly do have the greatest boyfriend ever, I'm so glad I met you Kazuto.

After she was finished with her hug she went over to her garden to tend to her flowers, as I watched her take care of them I began to feel really exhausted as I almost fell over, it wasn't long until Rubi noticed as she walked back to me to make sure I was alright.

Rubi: Kazuto is everything okay? You look really exhausted.

Kazuto: Truthfully, I am.

Here's the thing, I have been having some serious trouble the last several nights falling asleep, it's gotten so bad that I honestly don't think I have slept for the last few days. Normally slimes don't need much sleep, a good example of that is my mom since if she does need it she sleeps for maybe two hours before she's refreshed and even then it's only every few days or maybe once a week. Since I'm a hybrid my need for sleep is basically like everyone else unless I stay in my slime form but even then I have to stay in that form constantly otherwise I will still feel tired.

Kazuto: I'm just glad I was able to get through training today without collapsing. Still, this is a huge problem I have to get rid of.

Rubi: Actually I think I might have something for this. Wait right here.

She then walked into her shed, when she opened the door I could see the little workshop that was put inside for her as she rummaged through her cabinets looking for something.

Rubi: Okay let's see, it should be around here somewhere. Nope. Not that. No. Definitely not that one. Aha! Found it!

She came back to me with a glass bottle with these little blue tablets as she handed it to me.

Rubi: I think this might be the answer to your problems.

Kazuto: What are they?

Rubi: These are special sleeping pills that I have been working on. The ingredients for these are some of the well known ones from the monster world that are said to be more effective than human medicine. If you take one right before bed it should, in theory, help you sleep instantly.

I removed the cork from the top and took out one of the tablets. I examined it closely to see that they were little round circles with little squinted eyes that suspiciously looked like me. Rubi was aware of it as she started to sweat nervously.

Kazuto: Rubi?

Rubi: ( nervously ) Y-Yes honey.

Kazuto: Is there a reason why the medicine looks like me?

Rubi: ( nervously ) I t-t-thought it would b-be more m-marketable that way.

Marketable? You know what I'm just going to ignore that. After thanking Rubi I decided to head back to the house since I was in charge of getting dinner ready that night. After dinner I took a warm shower and afterwards I changed into my sleepwear as I took two of the tablets out from the bottle.

Kazuto: ( I'm a little unsure about testing these out since Rubi hasn't had the opportunity to do so herself, but if anything happens at least I have Great Sage to help me out. )

Great Sage: Answer: shall I nullify the effects of the poison?

Kazuto: N-No that's not what I meant! ( sigh ) Well as they say, nothing ventured nothing gained.

Once I swallowed the pills my vision immediately went black...

When I opened my eyes I found myself back in Ms. Nekonome's class. Everyone looked incredibly focused on their work.

Kazuto: ( What was I doing again? )

I looked at the paper in front of me, I wasn't really sure what the assignment was but it looked like I was finished already. With nothing else to do I surveyed the classroom, it was then that I noticed that everyone kind of looked out of it. Their expressions were a little difficult to read but if I had to make a guess I would say that their expressions seemed almost lifeless. Their eyes looked devoid of emotion as if their bodies were just going through the motions of everyday life.

Kazuto: ( Yikes, what's up with everyone? )

The bell to signal the end of the day rang as students and the teacher begin walking out of the classroom, they all looked like the fun had been sucked out of their lives and it was starting to worry me. I even ran up to Moka and the others to see if they wanted to hang out or something to help their moods.

Kazuto: So do you girls wanna do anything?

Moka: Sorry Kazuto but I'm not feeling up to it. Maybe tomorrow.

Yukari: Yeah I got a lot of work to do so I can't either.

Mizore: Me too, sorry honey.

Kurumu: We'll see you later okay.

Kazuto: O-Okay. Bye.

They sounded just as depressed as everyone else, I decided to go back to my dorm and figure out what to do next. Once I lied down on my bed I just stared at the ceiling as I went over the current scenario in my head.

Kazuto: ( Alright so everyone in school has basically become zombies and they're seriously depressed. I don't sense any magic so I don't think someone is deliberately behind this. If that's the case then what happened to make all the students and staff behave like this? )

The fact that the girls didn't want to hang out made me really concerned for them, and that's when the lightbulb finally lit up in my head.

Kazuto: ( That's it! The school doesn't have any access to fun activities for the students, and the reason everyone is so burned out is because they've been focused on school work and haven't taken time to themselves to relax. )

Among the many rules this school has in place one of them was that students weren't allowed to leave school grounds unless of an emergency. As far as we were concerned we were basically cut off from the human world and that meant we couldn't go out to have fun. Even if it was for our own protection as well as the protection for humans it meant that we were confined to stay within the barrier until to school year ended.

Kazuto: Everyone needs a break, they're so devoted to work that they have become numb to everything around them.

At least that solved one problem, now the only question was how could we fix it. For the moment it seemed like the best option we had was to get everyone's mind off of school work and get them to do something else. Perhaps something physical since everyone has been working their brains to the absolute limit, that sounded pretty good to me.

Kazuto: Maybe we can host a competition with a grand prize? That would be enough to get everyone to forget school for a while at least.

But what kind of competition would work? It had to be something that was fair as well as something we could have both boys and girls participate in so the only people who can't participate are the ones who would rather watch than compete.

Maybe I could talk with the headmaster about this, he might have a few ideas.

Luckily since it was the beginning of the weekend tomorrow I had plenty of time to go over the details with him.

The next day I went over to the headmaster's office to speak with him. When I knocked on his door he allowed me in as I discussed the problem with the students as of late. He agreed that he's been noticing their behavior being negatively affected lately and he confirmed my suspicions that the staff were also affected as well.

Headmaster: I think your suggestion of a competition is a wonderful idea. We need something recreational to increase the student bodies moral. And considering the fact that our schools sports teams have already left for their various games two days ago that puts all the remaining students on equal footing.

Kazuto: Now we just need a sport that would attract attention as well as a prize worth competing for.

Headmaster: If I may make a suggestion, how about we host a sumo competition?

Kazuto: Sumo? Sir, no offense but are you sure that sumo is something that will get students to participate?

Headmaster: I can assure you that most of the students are actually quite enthusiastic about sumo wrestling. If nothing else this will play to their base instincts as monsters.

Kazuto: How so?

Headmaster: At our very core we monsters live by a single fundamental rule: survival of the fittest. I believe a competition that relies on brute strength will give the students reason to show how capable they are in surviving out in the world. Especially when we put your idea to nullify their monster strength so they have to rely on their own technique and experience if they want a chance at victory.

I guess that made sense, and he did seem really confident that the students would like the idea of a sumo competition. After talking about it a little more he assured me that he would get everything set up within a matter of days once he talked with a few teachers about it.

As I started to make my way back to the dorms I actually ran into Moka who was waiting outside my door. When she noticed me she greeted me as I let her inside so we could hang out for a bit.

Kazuto: So Moka are the others coming over to hang out?

Moka: I don't think so, I asked them earlier but they told me they were feeling exhausted. I was actually really surprised to hear that since I asked them if they wanted to see you today.

Kazuto: Wow, if they didn't jump at the chance to hang out with me than they must be very tired.

Moka: I know. So where were you this morning?

I explained to her what I discussed with the headmaster, she did seem to like the idea of a competition to help the students forget about school for a little while, she was also a little thrown off when the headmaster suggested sumo wrestling of all things.

Moka: So the headmaster is organizing a sumo competition?

Kazuto: Apparently so, not sure how many students are actually going to sign up for that but as long as everyone has fun I guess that's alright.

We spent the next couple of hours just talking while enjoying our time together, we even cuddled while enjoying some movies since we were finally alone together. Once Monday came around I noticed that a lot of students had gathered around some flyers that had been posted around the school. The conversations I heard from the others sounded positive so I decided to check it out.

Kazuto: ( Let's see what's got everyone so excited. )

The flyers were about the sumo competition that the headmaster mentioned during our talk, according to the info given the competition would be held on Saturday and the grand prize for both the male and female divisions would be decided among the popular vote from each group.

Kazuto: ( I wonder what kind of prizes the participants will have in mind? )

I then began to walk to class as I heard some of the students getting excited to either participate or watch the matches in just a few days.

Kazuto: ( Guess the headmaster was on to something after all, maybe sumo wrestling was a good idea. )

( Timeskip brought to you by chibi Kazuto playing Monster Hunter Rise )

Today was the day, as it turned out lots of students signed up and they had spent the last few days preparing for the competition. The headmaster had set up two rings for each division as well as stands for all those who wanted to watch. The seats were filled rather quickly as the competitors were taken behind the school building to go over the rules. I was actually on my way there since the headmaster wanted to see me before the matches began.

Kazuto: ( I wonder what the headmaster wanted to see me about? Hopefully it won't take too long since I want to find the girls so I could talk to them. )

All week they've been too busy to talk to me, I was getting a little worried about them due to that and I wanted to be sure they were okay. I then spotted the headmaster as he was speaking to the students who signed up to fight today and among the crowd of students and teachers I saw the girls wearing kimonos like all the other competitors.

Kazuto: ( They actually signed up to fight? )

They never told me they joined the matches, well as long as they had a good time that was what really mattered to me. The headmaster saw me and waved me over, when the girls noticed they got red as they felt bad about not telling me earlier that they signed up.

Headmaster: Now that young Tempest has joined us I can announce one last thing about todays matches before we move on to the grand prizes. This whole thing was made possible due to young Kazuto's wish for the students to have a break from all the work that you students have had to deal with over the last few weeks, and I wish to show him our utmost gratitude for today's event.

Everyone began clapping and cheering for me, the attention was a bit embarrassing but I suppose there wasn't any harm in enjoying the spotlight a little bit every now and then.

Headmaster: Young Kazuto will also be our official master of ceremonies as he will be overseeing today's matches. Now onto the grand prizes.

I wasn't expecting to be master of ceremonies but I figured that I should just accept the honor.

Headmaster: The prize for the women's division, as by popular vote will be a date with Kazuto Tempest.

All the girls began to cheer since it seemed that they wanted a date with me. I was thrown off guard since I was already in a relationship with the girls as I saw them in the crowd, they were both determined to win that date with me as well as embarrassed at the fact that almost all the other girls wanted the same thing. What really scared me was the fact that among the girls that signed up I saw Ms. Ichinose, Ms. Ririko, even Ms. Nekonome although she seemed really surprised that this was the prize.

Ms. Nekonome: ( I can't go on a date with one of my students! I was hoping the prize would be an all expenses paid trip to a fancy seafood restaurant. )

Aside from Ms. Nekonome it looked like some of the girls had ulterior motives for winning since I saw some members of the swimming club and the security committee as well.

Kazuto: ( I hope they didn't sign up as a way to get revenge on me. )

Headmaster: The prize for the men's division, as by popular vote will be using miss Akashiya's lap as a pillow for one hour.

Moka: What?!

All the guys suddenly cheered as an aura enveloped them, I guess they were really pumped up to win now. I was actually trying to compose myself since Moka was now officially my girlfriend and I didn't want some random guy getting close with her.

Kazuto: ( Stay calm Kazuto, no need to let your temper get the better of you. At least not yet. )

I actually had a bit of a difficult time suppressing my aura as well as a slight murderous intent, I just had to pray that whoever won for the guys was smart enough not to let himself get overconfident or else I will claim his prize on his behalf.

Afterwards each group was led to separate areas so they could change into the appropriate gear as the headmaster and myself made our way to the arenas to address the audience. Once he made a final speech it was time to begin the matches, first up were the gentlemen as both Saizo and Gin took their positions on opposite sides of the ring.

Saizo: Don't think I'm taking it easy on you just cause you're a second year!

Gin: That's big talk coming from a guy that got beat up on his first day!

As the referee gave the signal both of them got into an intense grapple, they both gave it their all in order to prove which one of them was the strongest.

Kazuto: ( Wow, I have to say I'm impressed with how seriously they're taking this. This match might prove to be more exciting than I first thought. )

Gin: ( I owe Kazuto a lot for taking down Kuyo, I will do everything in my power to bring victory to the Newspaper Club. I will show him and the others just how awesome their club president can be! )

Kurumu: Yoo-hoo, Kazuto we're ready for you~!

Kazuto: Oh, looks like the girls are ready to go now.

I then left to check how the ladies were doing completely abandoning Gin in his hour of glory.

Gin: Wait is my time in this fanfic over already?!

As I made my way back to the girls I got treated to a sight I wasn't expecting.

( Quick note: Here's a quick rundown of what the girls are wearing, keep in mind the outfits are the same as the ones from the OVA.

Kurumu/Ms. Ririko- the same outfit that was worn by Shion except both of them are blue.

Yukari/Mizore/ Moka- the same outfit worn by Shuna except the outfit is white and green.

Rubi/Ms. Nekonome/Ms. Ichinose- the same outfit worn by Soka.

Outer Moka- the same outfit worn by Millim.)

Kurumu: What do you think Kazuto? Is this making you excited~?

Moka: ( nervously ) This is so embarrassing.

Outer Moka: Why am I dressed in this ridiculous getup, I swear someone is going to pay for this!

Kazuto: ( gulp ) ( Holy crap, the girls look hot! )

I didn't expect seeing the girls wearing mawashi to look this risqué, in fact I was actually starting to think that I should take a picture of this to preserve the memory.

Kazuto: ( No, no, no, no, no! Sumo started out as a Shinto ritual. There's absolutely nothing to feel guilty about. Nothing! )

I looked at the arena they would be fighting on and I noticed that we didn't have a referee for the women.

Kazuto: So who's going to oversee the match?

Everyone began looking directly at me.

Kazuto: Oh you've got to be kidding me!

Headmaster: This was also decided by the women.

Kazuto: Are you serious?!

I guess I had no choice, I got up to the ring as the first two competitors got ready.

The first match: Ms. Ririko vs Ms. Nekonome

As the two got into position Ms. Ririko blew a kiss at me as I shivered in disgust.

Kazuto: ( I know as a referee I should be impartial but please win this round Ms. Nekonome! ) R-Ready. Begin!

The two of them locked one another as the match had begun. If you looked closely at them you could easily see the fire in their eyes as they both did their best to win. I was impressed that they were giving it their all, I also had to avoid staring at their chests since they were both right in front of me.

Kazuto: ( Just stay calm Kazuto, just avoid looking around there and you should live to see another day. )

Just as it looked like it was going to be a stalemate Ms. Nekonome surprised us all as she suddenly tossed Ms. Ririko over the side thus winning the round, I didn't know if that was technically legal but the headmaster had no problems with it so I declared Ms. Nekonome the winner.

Over the next several rounds we had some interesting match up:

Rubi vs Ms. Ichinose

Yukari vs Mizore

Moka vs the school nurse

Kurumu vs Keito

Outer Moka vs...

Well actually the Outer Moka never got a chance to compete since all her opponents suddenly stepped down.

Kazuto: Uhhh... the winner by default is Moka Akashiya.

Outer Moka: Tch, this is a complete waste of time. Isn't there anyone that's brave enough to even try to take me on?!

To be fair I could see why most of the other girls decided against fighting her, even though the headmaster had put up a special barrier to make everyone who was competing have the strength of an ordinary human Moka's vampire self was still really intimidating so they forfeited rather quickly.

Kazuto: Now that I think about it, how did you get separated from the other Moka?

Outer Moka: Oh that, well I asked Moka to explain to the headmaster that I wished to compete too. He used a special mirror to free me, once the competition is over he'll reunite the two of us back into a single body.

Kazuto: Oh. Sweet.

After a few more rounds the amount of competitors had begun to dwindle. Yukari lost to Mizore but she held out for a good while despite the size disadvantage. Moka had won her fights and just narrowly beat Ms. Nekonome by the tiniest margin later on during the competition. Kurumu beat anyone standing in her way with ease, guess you shouldn't underestimate the drive of a succubus when a date with her " destined one " is on the line, that is until she lost to Rubi when she got a bit too overconfident.

The last few rounds started off with Outer Moka going up against Mizore. I had to give Mizore credit since she was the first person to actually go up against her. While they were grappling the crowd broke into cheers as they were witnessing someone challenge a legendary S-Class monster head on and actually hold their own.

Kazuto: ( They do remember about the special barrier right? )

Well whether they did or didn't wasn't of any concern, the whole point of this was for everyone to have a good time and I think we're succeeding in regards to that. After a few minutes Moka was able to push Mizore out of the ring and secure her spot in the final round.

Kazuto: Now we move on to our final match in the semifinals: Moka vs Rubi!

As they stepped up they both looked nervously at each other since they were both only one victory away from going head to head against who was most likely the strongest student in school.

Kazuto: Contestants, ready!

They both crouched down as they steeled themselves, ready to fight for the right to move to the final round.

Kazuto: GO!

Up until this point the fights have been more or less normal, usually someone would win once their opponent was either pushed out of the ring or if they successfully managed to throw them out of the ring. Rubi decided to end this in one go as she launched herself headfirst towards Moka like a human torpedo.

Kazuto: ( Wait a sec, is head-butting legal in sumo?! )

Whether it was or wasn't Moka was able to get out of the way fast enough to avoid getting pushed out, only when she did her top became loose as her chest became visible and she had no choice but to cover herself unless she wanted others to see her breasts.

Moka: Eek!

Rubi: I'm not done yet!

Rubi had launched herself pretty hard and it looked like she was about to ring herself out until she somehow used her twin tails to grab onto the lower part of Moka's uniform and held herself in mid air.

Kurumu: No way! How is she doing that?!

Mizore: I thought our powers were being disabled, is Rubi using some kind of special magic or something?

Kurumu: If she is then she's cheating! Kazuto disqualify her already!

Yukari: He can't, I don't sense any magic from her at all. Besides, other than Kazuto both Rubi and myself don't have our wands which we need to use magic in the first place.

Mizore: But then how do you explain what she's doing, she's basically defying the laws of physics!

Yukari: Right now Rubi is using every single one of her muscles to hold herself in place. From the tips of her toes all the way to the very ends of her hair.

Yukari then brought out a white board, from somewhere, and drew a quick illustration showing all the muscles that were being used.

Kurumu: Are you kidding me right now, and what the heck are " hair muscles " anyway!

Moka did her best to keep herself from falling over as Rubi was still pulling Moka in the hopes of making her touch the outside of the ring first. As they continued to struggle against the other the ring began to crack, little by little the cracks began to show until the whole ring collapsed beneath the two as they fell. When the dust had settled we saw both of them on the ground but with Moka on top of Rubi meaning that she would be moving on to the final round.

Kazuto: Well looks like we'll have to use the guy's ring since this one's destroyed.

Headmaster: I'm afraid that won't be possible.

Kazuto: What do you mean?

The headmaster pointed over to where the guys had their matches and as it turned out while we were busy focusing on the girls the guys kept going until they knocked themselves out. Right now all the guys were basically piled into a small mountain of unconscious bodies on top of a pile of rubble that used to be the ring.

Kazuto: So who won for the guys?

Headmaster: Technically the last two competitors knocked one another out simultaneously. Therefore we have no winner for the gentlemen.

On the bright side that meant that no one would be using Moka's lap as a pillow at least. I looked back at the girl's ring and noticed that a small circular platform remained intact, it looked big enough for two people to stand on it if their backs were facing the other.

Kazuto: I think I have an idea.

After giving a brief explanation both Moka's agreed to the new rules for the final match, all they had to do was push the other off the platform using only their behinds, last woman standing would be declared the winner.

Kazuto: Time to begin the final round! Moka vs Moka!

As they took their place both of them had this serious look in their eyes, this was way more intense than anything up until this point as they both had a lot on the line.

Outer/Moka: ( I won't let you beat me, Kazuto will go out with me and nothing will stand in my way. Not even my other self! )

You could see their auras begin to rise as the air became heavy, the tension between the two was so obvious that you had to be a complete idiot to stand in their way.

Kazuto: ( I actually feel kind of bad making them resort to this. This sport was originally meant for geishas to play. It was designed with ulterior motives in mind... No, no, no, no, no! No guilt! Shinto ritual! Come on! )

They just kept staring at each other, it was obvious they didn't care what they had to do so long as they could settle things in the ring.

Kazuto: ( I have a very bad feeling about this. ) ( gulp ) Begin!

The moment they began hitting each other it was as if the guys were brought back from the dead as they suddenly surrounded us, not just them but all the guys in attendance also joined them as their eyes were practically glued to the fight.

Kazuto: ( I get it now! Since they're fighting without facing each other, that means you can see certain things more clearly! )

With every hit came a moan from their struggle to bump the other person off. I honestly couldn't take my eyes off of it unless I wanted to miss seeing the glorious beauty right in front of me.

Kazuto: This is one match I can't look away from. In more ways than one.

Unfortunately I should have been paying more attention to the ring because there was one small detail I forgot about. At first glance what we were witnessing was very hot, but we had to remember that the two who were fighting were vampires. I noticed the way the platform began to crack a bit as it finally dawned on me what was happening.

Kazuto: ( Every time they collide the force behind their butts hitting is more deadlier than the last. These two are S-class monsters for a good reason, it's only a matter of time before the ring is completely obliterated! )

My prediction came true as after three more hits the ring finally broke as the two fell, thankfully I was close enough to cushion their fall as I transformed into my slime form. The dust cloud perfectly hid me so no one saw my true self and in the end the final match was a draw as both Moka's were declared the winner since I interfered by saving them.

The next few days have had some improvements made throughout the school, all the students were in far better spirits as they looked ready for anything. While the sumo matches didn't turn out exactly how we originally intended we still got the desired outcome of everyone having a good time.

As for me, right now I was on my way to class. The sun was shining bright and everyone was so positive that I felt like this was going to be a great day. After all I had the greatest friends anyone could ever ask for and I was able to reunite with my first love, what more could a slime like me ever want?

At least, that's what it was supposed to be like.

The sky began to grow dark as storm clouds came in, the wind raged as trees were blown away and a powerful bolt of lightning struck the school. When I opened my eyes I saw the school in ruins and the land was completely desolate.

Kazuto: What happened? Where is everyone?!

Moka: Kazuto!

I looked off to the side to see both Moka's wearing the same outfits from before as they stood in the middle of the ruins of what used to be our school.

Moka: We decided to have a rematch but we keep ending in a tie.

Outer Moka: So we finally decided to just ask you directly who you think the real winner should be.

They came towards me with this hungry look in their eyes as I transformed into my slime form, before I could get away they each held on to me really tightly as they started pulling me.

Moka: Of course Kazuto is going to pick me, I am his first love after all~.

Outer Moka: Oh please, it's obvious he's going to pick which one of us is the better athlete. Right Kazuto~?

Even though they both were talking very sweetly to me it was easy to feel the ominous vibe coming from both of them.

Outer/Moka: So Kazuto, who do you choose? Me? Or her~?

As they pulled me even further I could feel myself being stretched to the absolute limits until...

* RRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPP!!!!! *

Kazuto: AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I suddenly woke up back in my room, I then quickly checked my body to see if all my limbs were still attached to me and thankfully they were.

Kazuto: Whew, what a nightmare.

Great Sage: Notice: the effects of the sleeping drug have worn off.

I looked back at the bottle that was on my nightstand and came to a final conclusion. I headed to the living room where Rubi was watching some anime while eating a bowl of cereal.

Rubi: Hello Kazuto, so how did you sleep?

I simply put the bottle in front of her and told her to lock it up tight.

Rubi: Wait why do I need to lock this up? Did it not work or where there any side effects?

Kazuto: Rubi the medicine worked just fine and from what I can tell there aren't any side effects.

Rubi: I don't understand, if that's the case then why do I need to lock this up?

Kazuto: It's too good.

Rubi: Too... good?

I then made my way to the kitchen to grab a bite to eat after Rubi promised me that bottle would never see the light of day again.
