Chapter 15

Naruto and Jiraiya arrived in the Tanzaku Quarters where Tsunade was said to be. Jiraiya knew Tsunade was close to Kushina Naruto's mother; he also knew Tsunade thought Naruto was dead thanks to Danzo. This was going to be a very interesting meeting.

"Alright Naruto I will look for Tsunade. Why don't you enjoy the village maye visit a gambling house or the local brothel." Jiraiya said.

"I'm not like you Ero-sennin." Naruto said.

"Aren't you?" Jiraiya asked. "I've seen how you look at your friend Ino. Why haven't you made a move on her yet?"

"She likes Sasuke-teme, not me." Naruto said not knowing that Ino secretly liked her as well.

"You'd be surprised, Naruto. When we get back to Konoha, ask Ino out on a proper date twenty ryo says she'll say yes." Jiraiya said. "Anyway you go enjoy the town while I look for Tsunade-hime."

Naruto and Jiraiya parted ways. Naruto, feeling hungry, wanted food so she decided to look for any place that sold food. She found a bar that served Ninja Clientele of all ages. Walking into the bar Naruto walked up to the bar and took a seat.

"What can I get for you young kunoichi?" the bartender asked.

"Baked fish over steamed rice and a small bottle of sake." Naruto said.

"Right away." the bartender said as she reached into a small cooler and pulled out a bottle of Sake and a saucer, placing it down before Naruto.

Was Naruto an alcoholic? No she wasn't, did she enjoy a good bottle of sake now and again? Yes she did.

Naruto poured herself a saucer of sake before picking up the saucer and drinking it.

"So what brings you to the Tanzaku Quarters." the bartender asked.

"I'm here on a mission. Me and my sensei are looking for someone." Naruto replied.

"Say my shift is almost over. Wanna come back to my room for a little fun?" the bartender asked.

Naruto swallowed her sake as her eyes went wide, the bartender was hitting on her even offering to have some fun.

"Sounds like a plan to me." Naruto said.

Naruto wasn't going to turn down such a pretty girl like the bartender. The bartender was an average sized woman with onyx colored eyes and jet black shoulder length hair with her bangs framing her face.

After Naruto finished her sake and ate her meal, the Bartender walked out from behind the bar and waited for Naruto to join her by the door. Once Naruto joined her the Bartender led her to her hotel room. Which surprised Naruto.

"Why are you staying in a hotel if you work at the bar?" Naruto asked.

"I travel with my own sensei. I just work at the bar to bring in some extra money." the woman said.

"Who is your sensei?" Naruto asked out of curiosity.

"Lady Tsunade." the woman said.

Naruto's eyes went wide as she stopped in her tracks.

"Is something wrong?" the woman asked.

"No it's just that's who me and my sensei are looking for." Naruto replied.

"Oh. Well then maybe I should take you to her." the woman said. "I'm Shizune by the way."

"Uzumaki Naruto." Naruto said. "And while I would like to finish my mission and find Tsunade, I'm more interested in you right now."

Naruto didn't say it out loud but she wanted to have fun with Shizune and let Jiraiya find Tsunade.

Shizune smiled and unlocked the door to her hotel room and let Naruto go in first. Much to both Naruto's and Shizune's surprise waiting in the room was none other than Tsunade herself along with Jiraiya.

"So it's true you are alive." Tsunade said.

"Tsunade-sama, what a pleasant surprise." Shizune said with a smile.

"Who told you I was dead?" Naruto asked Tsunade.

"Shimura Danzo. Someone I would stay away from if I were you." Tsunade replied. "So the council wants me to be the next Hokage?"

"Hai." Jiraiya replied.

"I'm surprised Danzo didn't try and claim the seat." Tsunade said.

"The council would have never allowed it." Jiraiya said plainly.

"So why me?" Tsunade asked.

Naruto decided to speak up. "Tsunade-baachan you are the Granddaughter of the first Hokage, student of the third and you are one of the best Kunoichi of your time." Naruto said.

"And you are the daughter of the Yondaime so why aren't you a candidate?" Tsunade asked.

"No one knows I'm related to the Yondaime, besides everyone seems to think I'm the Kyubi. They would never let someone like me be Hokage." Naruto explained.

"Fools. Just because you have the Kyubi inside you doesn't make you the Kyubi itself." Tsunade saide.

"Tell that to the villagers, most of the shinobi don't treat me like an outcast but the villagers are a different story. And of course the younger generation does what the adults do so I have very few friends." Naruto explained.

"Idiots." Tsunade said again. "So Naruto tell me, why are you with my apprentice?"

"We met in a bar and spoke a bit and well we were on our way here for reasons I would like to keep to myself." Naruto replied not saying that the two of them planned to have sex.

"And you said you weren't like me." Jiraiya chuckled.

"Ero-sennin you sleep around with every woman you come across." Naruto said. "You also peep on unsuspecting women for the sake of your 'research'."

"Ero-sennin?" Tsunade asked, amused.

"We're getting off topic." Jiraiya said not so amused. "Tsunade-hime, will you come back to Konoha and become the Godaime Hokage?"

"No, being Hokage is a fool's job." Tsunade said.

Naruto felt anger well up inside her. She respected the Hokage each and every one of them.

"Are you saying your Grandfather was a fool when he founded Konoha? Was your sensei a fool?" Naruto asked the older woman.

"Each and every Hokage died protecting the village." Tsunade said annoyed with Naruto.

"They died protecting the village to ensure the people of Konoha were safe and could enjoy their lives. Your Grandfather was one of the best Kage of his time and he was no fool." Naruto yelled. "My father the Yondaime gave his life to stop the Kyubi from completely destroying Konoha just like your own Grandfather."

"Naruto, that's enough." Jiraiya said seeing Tsunade's anger.

"No Ero-sennin. The Hokage are the greatest shinobi in our village. Jiji was no fool either; he was the greatest shinobi of his time. The only reason Orochimaru was able to kill Jiji was because he was due to Jiji's old age." Naruto yelled.

"Wait, Orochimaru killed sensei?" Tsunade asked.

"Hai." Jiraiya said.

"Then I take it Sensei was behind Orochimaru's loss of the use of his arms." Tsunade said. "I knew Orochimaru was twisted but I didn't think he'd go as far as to attack Konoha and kill sensei."

"Orichimaru has fallen truly deep." Jiraiya said with a sigh.

"Fine I'll become the Godaime Hokage as soon as I deal with Orochimaru." Tsunade said determined.

Several days later Tsunade alongside Jiraiya and Naruto arrived at the spot Tsunade was to meet up with Orochimaru. As the trio arrived at the meeting place they saw Orochimaru and Kabuto. Orochimaru looked at the gathered shinobi and smiled.

"I take it this means you decided not to help me." Orochimaru said. "And Naru-chan I must say I didn't expect to see you again."

"Go to Hell teme." Naruto said.

"Orochimaru-sama, please allow me to deal with Naruto." Kabuto said.

"By all means Kabuto." Orochimaru said with a chuckle.

Naruto looked at Kabuto. "I remember you from the Chunin exams. I knew you were shady."

"Naruto be careful." Jiraiya said.

"I will Ero-sennin." Naruto said.

"Ero-sennin? Fitting for someone of your caliber Jiraiya." Orochimaru said amused

Naruto looked at Kabuto and lifted her eye-patch revealing her Sharingan. She remembered how Kakashi used the sharingan against Zabuza and was able to read his opponent before he acted. While Naruto wasn't trained on how to use the Sharingan she knew enough about it to risk using her new eye. Naruto used the Shunshin to instantl;y appear before Kabuto surprising the older shinobi.

"Well it seems you learned a few tricks since the Chunin exams." Kabuto said.

Naruto thrust her hand forward using her Suzumebachi to strike at Kabuto. Kabuto felt the strike over his heart and looked down to see a tribal butterfly stamp on his chest.

"It seems I have to be careful with you, Naruto." Kabuto said.

Naruto tried to use her Shunshin again trying to get up behind Kabuto only to find he twisted around and blocked her second strike with a kunai. Naruto didn't give up though as she created two shadow clones and jumped back with her clones.

All three Naruto began to create a rasengan which took her a few seconds. Kabuto was no fool, he knew full well what the rasengan did and he did not want to be on the receiving end of one. Kabuto quickly ran through a series of hand seals and slammed his hands into the ground.

"Doton: Dosekiryu!" Kabuto yelled.

Upon slamming his hands on the ground a serpentine dragon rose up and slammed into Naruto and her clones. The Two clones were dispelled but the original Naruto used her Shunshin to teleport behind Kabuto and slammed the rasengan into his back. Kabuto cried out in pain as he turned to face the original Naruto fury in his eyes.

"You are really starting to annoy me, Naruto." Kabuto said.

"Tough luck teme. I just happen to be good at my job." Naruto said.

Kabuto rushed Naruto with his hand coated with blue chakra. He thrust his hand forward attempting to pierce Naruto's heart. Naruto however used her Shunshin to dodge the attack this served to frustrate Kabuto even more but he didn't give up he twisted behind him figuring Naruto would appear behind and thrust his hand forward. This time his hand connected with its target piercing Naruto's heart but it didn't kill her right away.

Kabuto smiled he figured Naruto would bleed out but he forgot about the Kyubi. As Kabuto rejoined Orochimaru who was having a hard time in his fight without his jutsu they were forced to retreat.

Once Kabuto and Orochimaru departed Jiraiya and Tsunde looked for Naruto once they found her Tsunade gasped and immediately began trying to repair Naruto's heart, cursing Kabuto. As Tsunade was repairing the damage she noticed red chakra around the wound attempting to heal the damage as well.

"Damn that Kabuto If Naruto survives this she will need medical leave to fully repair the damage to her heart." Tsunade said.

As Tsunade was healing Naruto the young blonde opened her eyes and looked at Tsunade.

"Sorry Baa-chan, I guess it wasn't good enough to beat him." Naruto said.

"Hush Naruto, you did good." Tsunade said. "I've healed your heart, you're safe to travel but you will still need medical leave to finish healing your heart."

As Tsunade, Naruto. Jiraiya and Shizune returned to Konoha the group made their way to the Hokage Tower. After Tsunade was officially made Hokage the older blonde as a medical ninja wrote a note for Naruto giving her a month of medical leave. As Naruto left the Hokage Tower she remembered what Jiraiya said about Ino but Naruto was still scared what if Ino didn't feel the same way.

Naruto wanted Ino but would Ino return her feelings? Naruto made her way to the Hokage Monument to think she knew she couldn't go on missions or even train for a month per orders of Tsunade so what was Naruto going to do for the duration of her leave. Naruto sighed and looked out over Konoha.

As Naruto was looking out over Konoha she heard a sound behind her. Naruto turned to see Ino of all people.

"Hey Ino." Naruto said.

"Hey Naruto." Ino said. "Jiraiya-sama let me know you were back."

"Did he?" Naruto asked, suspecting that Jiraiya was trying to get Naruto to ask Ino out.

"Yea. He also told me about your fight with Kabuto, how are you feeling?" Ino asked.

"I survived but this is the second time I almost died. I've been ordered on medical leave to fully recover from my fight." Naruto explained.

Ino didn't say anything out loud but internally she was having a very large debate with herself.

'What should I do? Naruto has always looked out for others without even thinking of herself. And she is hot without even trying to be. I'm so confused, but what if she doesn't like girls. No, that's illogical. She has never said or even hinted at liking a boy.' Ino thought to herself.

Naruto was looking over the village, her mind thinking about Jiraiya's words back in the Tanzaku Quarters about Ino. However Naruto didn't get to speak her mind as Ino suddenly kissed her. Naruto's eyes went wide in surprise but she didn't pull away. She felt Ino's soft lips on her own and her eyes closed as she melted into the kiss.
