After the Battle of Camlann, Merlin cast a spell to bring everyone who was a part of King Arthur's legacy back so that they could aid Arthur during Albion's time of need. 1000 years later, the reincarnations are born again, but things didn't turn out as planned as everyone but Merlin remembers. Retrieving his memories in time to take on a new threat might be harder than they think.

Arthur uses a magic thingy to follow Merlin around all day and discovers some interesting facts. He also discovers that Merlin really is an idiot, but then he already knew that. Agravaine is really horrid to Merlin in this, but Arthur doesn't receive any spoilers. Canon compliant. I pay my licence so I reckon that means I own a teeny-weany bit of Merlin.

When Ygraine's old prayer book is found - complete with handwritten notes - Arthur is given another chance to hear his mother speak from the grave. Not as a summoned shade, but as the memory of a young woman finding solace in the words she once loved.
