The Avengers lined up facing the enemy. Ginny's breathing was loud in her ears, her heart pounded making her eyes throb with the beat. The adrenaline that was building up in her body was making her magic throb, this was it, this was either the end or not, she wasn't sure how it would end but she would fight either way. The monsters this alien brought with him lined up around him, each more fearsome than the one before it. The witches and wizards lined up as well, the Asgardian Gods, the Avengers, Ginny's old professors, work colleagues, sixth- and seventh-year Hogwarts students and the female soldiers that protected the king from Wakanda. Hermione was standing to Ginny's right and was getting ready to charge when there was the sound of thunder behind her. Both she and Ginny turned to see what it was, and Ginny gasped when she saw the Centaurs coming from the woods. She was pleased to see the look of shock on Thanos's face when some giants came out followed by the giant spiders that plagued the Forbidden Forest.

"You've come prepared" Thanos called out to them "But it makes no difference, by the end of this half of you will no longer be alive"

"Why don't you stop talking" Ginny called out "And show us just how magnificent your little army is...and we'll show you how much better ours is"

The giant purple man didn't speak just lifted the alien weapon in his hand and with a terrifying battle cry the creatures rushed the magical folk. With their own battle cry, they all shot forward wands and weapons in hand, they met the creatures in the middle of the field. Spells were shot, different colors lit up the sky, reds, greens and yellows. Ginny had her eyes locked on Thanos, she wanted to get to him and vanquish him quickly then this could all be over with hopefully no lives lost or at the very least very few. The giants were using their clubs to take out as many of the enemy as they could, but to Ginny's horror she saw two of the four giants fall to their powers.

"We need to get the glove" Steve screamed to her as he went by, chasing after a monster that was going for Hermione "It needs to come off"

The next several minutes were a blur. Spells were still being shot, weapons were being wielded and between George and Loki there was so many different products being used sometimes it was hard to know where everyone was and what was happening to her friends. Ginny saw Wanda fighting Thanos, raining rocks upon him while Draco was trying to use a spell to remove the glove on his hand. She looked over at Doctor Strange and he shook his head, letting her know that while Wanda was stronger than even he knew, she would not succeed in getting that glove from his hand.

"Rain fire" Thanos called out to his minions.

"But our troops!" One called back to him.

"Just do it!" Thanos yelled while being pressed into the ground by the weight of Wanda's magic.

The ship above them let out terrifying guns and then rained down shots on everyone, his own creatures as well as the magical folks. Ginny ran for cover behind a rock and hugged her knees, she was trying to keep her sobbing low, but she was terrified. She was hiding, her friends and family members were out there possibly dying, and she was hiding. Her whole body shook, and she couldn't make out what Tom was saying in her head, it was all just garbled words that meant nothing. She dropped her head into her hands and tried to think of any spell that would help in this situation, but her mind was blank.

"You can run, if you want" A voice said from next to her, she turned to see Clint next to her "This should have never been brought to your world"

"But I..." Ginny started.

"You're not an Avenger" He pointed out "We are, we'll fight until the end, but you don't have to" He notched another arrow, shot it and then looked back at her "But if you choose to fight, then get out there and fight because we don't hide"

Ginny thought about what he said for seconds after he ran off back into the thick of the fighting. Then she too stood up and walked back in, she let Tom ease his magic into her as he took hold of her body and started shooting spells at the enemy. No one knew, but while she trained, she'd also been learning to handle having Tom take over her while still keeping in her mind who the real enemy was, so he wouldn't try to attack her loved ones. People and aliens fell over several minutes, she was getting weaker and weaker with each spell she shot, even with Tom's help. She heard a scream and saw that Luna was on the ground with a horrible man floating above her with a wicked smile on his face. Ginny shot a stunning charm on him, but it didn't hold long, not that there was reason to worry. Vision flew up from behind him, wrapped his arms around the man's middle and separated his top half from his bottom half, before landing to make sure Luna was okay. Ginny made her way forward, her eyes on Thanos, he was fighting Iron Man and Tony almost had the glove off of him.

"Harry!" Ginny gasped as he bumped into her, she looked at him with wide eyes, because she knew what she'd have to do now "Does it hurt?" She asked, her bottom lip trembling "Dying, does it hurt?"

"Ginny" He whispered, he reached out and pulled the band from her hair, letting her beautiful red hair fall down her back...the way he loved it. Tears filled his emerald, green eyes as he recalled the words spoken to him years before "It's quicker than falling asleep"

"Thank you" She whispered, unsure if he'd even heard her. She started to walk away, but he didn't let go of her hand, pulling her back a little she turned and looked at him again.

"You were my first love" Harry told her and she nodded.

"You were mine too" She admitted, she leaned over and pressed her lips gently to his before laying her forehead against his "I love you, Harry Potter. Maybe not the same as before, but I never stopped and I never will, no matter what happens...please remember that"

Ginny turned and walked up a hill toward Thanos, it was time. This fight had been going on too long, now it was time to end it, she let out a small sob when she saw her brother George holding Loki's body in his arms. But Ginny didn't stop, even when he looked at her with those heartbroken eyes, she didn't stop when she saw Tony struggling to lift himself off the ground. She noted that the glove was on the ground, she didn't know how it got there but she ran for it at the same time that Thanos did. He got to it first and triumphantly pulled it on to his hand, giving her a cruel smile as he held it up for all to see. Ginny heard her name called and Tony threw something to her, it was another glove, one he must have made. She picked it up discreetly, she'd have to put it on, and it would kill her, she saw what it did to the Hulk and she was no-where near as strong as he was.

"You really thought you could beat me" Thanos spoke, it seemed the whole fight stopped, everyone looking on in fear as he brought his thumb to his middle finger getting ready to snap them "I, who has fought many battles, who has seen and caused many deaths and who has survived against supposedly unbeatable odds" He laughed "As I said before. I am inevitable" He snapped his fingers...but nothing happened. He did it again with the same result.

"And I. Am." Ginny said, pulling the glove on and holding it up for all to see. Her life played out before her as she thought of how to end the sentence. She saw her brothers picking on her, testing out new spells or potions on her, being rushed to Saint Mungo's when they went wrong, being forced to try to kill her friends when she was just a kid, the whispers from Tom her whole life since, the war, the fear and the unknown. Then more memories came, ones that weren't hers, an orphanage, being feared, a cave, pain and a secret loneliness that no one knew about. Ginny raised her eyes to his and offered a small smirk that seemed so out of place on her usually kind face "A fucking Weasley" Then snapped her fingers.

Ginny was blasted back by the force of the snap, a bright light blinded her, and excruciating pain overtook her body. She landed in a crumpled heap, she heard Tom scream in her mind, and she thought she heard other screams, but she wasn't able to open her eyes to look around to see if it happened or if she made it up. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes and saw her mothers crying face, she offered a small smile before the blackness overtook her and she was alone.

"You Gryffindors" Tom said, he walked over to her with his usual swagger "Always have to sacrifice yourselves for the greater good, it's disgusting really"

"If I'm dead" Ginny said, looking around herself and seeing the Chamber of Secrets again "Then why am I still stuck with you?"

"You're not dead" He answered, he frowned a little "I am"

"I know" She told him with a raised brow "I was there when you died"

"This is likely to be the last time you see me" He told her "Or feel my amazing magic"

"What are you going on about?" She asked, annoyed.

"The power from that glove sizzles through the body and shuts down everything" He told her "In magical beings, such as us, it takes our magic. Yours was very weak and you'd have died, if it had been stronger, you may have woken up as a Squib" He looked disgusted "But it took out another magical line within you"

"Yours" She whispered and he nodded.

"Mine" He confirmed "I don't know why I did it. I could have just let it take you out and possibly taken over your body but..." He looked flustered and unsure, like the whole weight of what he'd done was finally hitting him.

"You saved me" Ginny pointed out "You feared your nature would make you lonely again, that's it, isn't it?"

"I fear nothing!" He snapped "And it's time for you to wake up" He started to walk away from her, but stopped and looked over his shoulder at her "Goodbye, Weasley"

A/N: God, I hope this was okay. I didn't want to linger too much on it. It's strange I know and I wrote no less than four different versions of this but this was the one I'm sticking with. Please review. The end is in sight now. Tell me what you think.
