After losing the Kalos League, Ash comes back home, hoping to get some relaxation before heading off to another region. His friends and family betrayed Ash, however, effectively making him a criminal in all regions. Seeking to start anew, he went to Alola and became the Champion of that region. Finding an unconscious Mienfoo out in the forest with no memories of where and who he is, Lillia, an Espurr, takes him in to help him regain his memories.
