Hello, everybody! Welcome to the new and improved version of my 151 Pokeshipping Stories! Now, a version of this existed on this website before, but I decided that it was not good enough and decided to delete it and start again. But it will have the same premise as the last version of this story. It will have 151 different stories about Ash and Misty's romantic relationship, that number specifically because 151 is an important number if you are a Pokemon fan. Now, like the first story in my old version, the first story will be about Ash and Misty having their first meeting at Professor Oak's Summer Camp instead of their canonical meeting at the river. Unlike the first version and like the canon, however, he will also meet Serena there. And I know how many times I said I, in the most polite way I can put this, am indifferent to Serena and Amourshipping. But a fellow user on this website (and an extreme Handkerchiefshipper) pointed out that Misty and Serena could be friends and not enemies in one of his stories. And hey, I can kind of see where he is coming from. Misty and May became friends after meeting one another. May and Dawn did so as well, as did Dawn and Iris, and Misty and the Alolan girls. So why do Pokeshippers like myself have to treat Serena like a Trubbish based on the examples that I gave before? I am not sure. Anyways, I am going off track. Let's get going on this story!
It was a beautiful day and the sun was just starting to rise over the town of Pallet. It was an exciting day if you were between the ages of five and seven, as today was the day to take the first steps on the long journey to become a Pokemon Trainer by attending one of the most prestigious summer camps in the Kanto region, Professor Oak's Summer Camp in Pallet Town. One of the kids who was attending the summer camp was a six-year-old boy from the same town the camp was located. His name was Ash Ketchum, a boy who had a deep love for Pokemon and wanted to be a Pokemon Master when he grew up. He woke up bright and early and arrived at the Professor's laboratory before anyone else did, not wanting a repeat performance of what went down last year. As he waited by the door, he saw a girl with bright orange hair walk up.
"Hello there," the girl said to Ash. Ash then looked up at the girl and gave a smile. She looked very cute with her pigtails and looked like she had a lot of energy.
"H…" Ash shuddered, "H… Hello to you as well. My name is Ash, Ash Ketchum." He could not stop staring at the girl who was talking to him.
"That's a cute name," the girl said to the future trainer. She then introduced herself as Misty Waterflower.
"That's a sweet name," Ash said to her. "Tell me more about yourself, Misty." Misty smiled and nodded. She told Ash a lot about herself. Misty said that she was the youngest of four daughters of a famous showwoman, and her dream was to catch all of the water-type Pokemon in the Kanto Region.
"Woah…" Ash said to Misty. "That's cool!" He then told her that he also had a famous parent, the undefeated champion Red. He also said his goal when he became a trainer was to be as strong as his father and to be a Pokemon Master!
Misty smiled as they continued to talk until the doors to the lab finally opened up. "Do you want to be friends?" Misty asked the black-haired six-year-old.
"Of course!" Ash said as he smiled at the redhead who was the same age as him. They then headed into the lab.
Ash and Misty had a lot of fun at the camp, and they along with the other kids learned a lot about Pokemon that they did not know about before. Before the next lesson started, Oak allowed all of the campers to have an hour of free time in the lab. Ash smiled before he looked at Misty.
"There is this one area of the area out back that I would like to show you," Ash said to the girl as he took her hand. They then ran towards the lake where all of the Water-type Pokemon liked to swim. Misty was impressed by all of the water Pokemon.
"I have never seen so many water-type Pokemon in my life!" Misty said, "Not even at my mom's gym!"
Ash chuckled as he took off his shoes and socks and waded into the lake. Misty did the same as a little Poliwag popped its head out of the water to greet Ash.
"Hello there," Ash said to the Poliwag. Misty assumed that Ash knew this Poliwag for a long time as she asked him about the water-type.
"So, how long have you known this Poliwag, Ash?" Misty asked the boy from Pallet Town. Ash smiled and explained that he and the Poliwag have been friends for some time, and Ash even promised Poliwag that once he can start his journey, he can be his starter. Misty smiled. Then, all of a sudden, they heard a loud cry coming from the trees.
"What was that?" Misty asked Ash.
"I am not sure," Ash said, "Let's go check!" The two kids then put their shoes and socks back on and ran in the direction of where the cries were coming from.
Meanwhile, in the woods, a girl wearing a straw hat under her honey-colored hair was crying. She was crying for many reasons. For one, she wanted to be back home in her region of Kalos with her family. The kids here in the Kanto region found her weird as she had trouble speaking Kantonese. It was just that it sounded less like the Kalosian language she was used to speaking back home. The second reason she was crying was because of a group of kids that had been picked on her, and none of the adults seemed to notice. And for a third reason, she tripped over a tree branch and her knee was hurting like crazy.
"Mommy!" the girl screamed, "PLEASE COME BACK TO TAKE ME HOME! I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE! I WANT TO BE BACK HOME IN MY OWN REGION IN MY OWN TOWN WITH MY OWN FRIENDS!"
Just then, she saw a pair of kids her age walking towards her. The first one was a boy who had black hair and was wearing a yellow shirt and shorts. The second one was a girl who had a light blue shirt with a darker shade as her skirt. The Kalosian girl wondered who they were, and why they were coming towards her.
"Hello there," the boy said, "Who are you?"
"S…" the girl shuddered, "Serena. Serena Yvonne. Who are you two?"
"My name is Misty Waterflower," Misty said as she introduced herself to the blonde girl. She held out her hand for her to shake. Serena looked at it shyly before she took it and shook Misty's hand.
"My name is Ash Ketchum," Ash said as he looked at her knee. He cringed as it was all bloody. "What happened to your knee, Serena?!"
Serena cried as she explained what happened to her to Ash and Misty. They gasped as Ash took off the handkerchief that was wrapped around his neck and tied it around Serena's wounds. "Here, this will help keep the wound covered until we can get a proper bandage for you," he said.
"Do you think you can walk back to the lab on your own?" Misty asked the girl from the Kalos region as she tried to stand up. She was having some trouble doing so. She shook her head and asked Misty and Ash to carry her back to the lab. Ash and Misty nodded, ready to help out their new friend.
"Don't worry, Serena," Ash said to his new friend, "We will make sure the rest of camp goes great for you."
"You sure?" Serena asked as she sniffled. Misty and Ash smiled as they hoisted her up and carried her all the way back to the lab.
"We are definitely sure," Misty said with a smile. This caused Serena to smile as well, as she'd finally made some new friends in a new region.
Time sure did fly by for Ash, Misty, and Serena. They had so much fun together at Pokemon Camp, and now their week together is coming to a close and the girls had to go back to their respective homes. They both had tears rolling down their eyes as they had to leave their friend. Ash was also sad that he had to watch his two new friends go.
"Goodbye, Ash!" Both Misty and Serena said as they hugged Ash at the same time. Ash sniffled and hugged the two girls back.
"Promise that once we all turn ten, we will all go on a journey together?" Ash asked the two girls. The eyes of the two girls suddenly lit up when those words came out of his mouth. They both smiled and hugged him tighter than before.
"Of course!" both of the girls said as they did so. Ash began to cough as they were hugging him too tightly. He asked Misty and Serena to let him go, and they fulfilled the request. They then ran towards their moms, who were talking to one another about their children.
"Mommy!" Serena said as she hugged her mother, Grace. She was a brown-haired woman who raced Rhyhorns for a living. Grace smiled and hugged her daughter back and asked if she had a good time at Pokemon Camp. Serena nodded and explained that she made two new friends in the forms of Ash and Misty, and how when they turned 10, they would all be going on a journey together.
"That is great," Grace said to her daughter as she hugged her. She got some important information from Delia and Mellissa, who were Ash's and Misty's mothers respectively. She thanked them before grabbing her daughter's hand and telling Serena it was time for them to head back home.
Serena nodded sadly as she looked back at Ash and Misty for one last time. "Goodbye…" she said as she slowly walked off with Grace.
Misty and Ash waved goodbye to Serena as she and her mother got into the rental car and drove to the airport. After a few minutes, it was time for Misty and her mommy to return to their home in Cerulean City. Ash hugged Misty tightly as they both cried. They eventually broke the hug and went their separate ways, knowing they would not see each other in person until they finally turned ten in a few years.
Several long years have passed for all three kids. They have been keeping contact with one another through letters for quite a while, and they have been waiting for this day to come for a long time: and that day was the day they could finally become Pokemon Trainers.
Ash woke up bright and early on that day, being careful not to break the alarm clock like he did when he missed Pokemon Camp when he was five. He made his way downstairs to see his mom making breakfast for the two of them. "Morning!" Ash said as he sat at the breakfast table and waited to be served. Delia smiled as she served her son some Pikachu-shaped Oran Berry pancakes, his favorite.
"How is my future Pokemon Master?" Delia asked her son, "Excited to start his journey with two potential bachelorettes?" She was aware that Ash had a crush on both Misty and Serena, and she liked to tease him about it.
Ash's cheeks turned as red as a Charmander's fire. "Mom!" Ash said, "I am TEN! I don't have to worry about that for some time!"
Delia just chuckled as she heard a knock on the door. "Coming!" she shouted towards the door and made her way there. She opened the door to reveal two grown, yet still familiar girls standing in the doorway.
"Hello, Mrs. Ketchum!" Misty said to the Ketchum matriarch, "Is Ash here?"
"He sure is!" Delia said.
"That's great!" Serena said as they both smiled. Delia led them into the kitchen and asked if they were hungry from the long journey to Pallet Town. Both of the girls nodded as Ash's mom smiled and said she was happy to make some more pancakes just for them. The girls from Cerulean and Vaniville smiled and thanked her.
"No problem!" Delia said. Soon, the three ten-year-olds had full bellies and were ready to take on the Kanto region together. They said goodbye to Ash's mom and headed towards the lab. As they walked towards the lab, Ash, Misty, and Serena discussed what they wanted to accomplish on their journey together. Ash wanted to become a Pokemon Master and win the Indigo League. Misty desired to catch all of the water-type Pokemon that were native to Kanto. And Serena wanted to be a Top Coordinator and win the Kanto Grand Festival. They were all unique goals, but the other two wanted to help the other one out no matter what it took.
"So girls," Ash said, "Which starters are you planning on getting from the Professor?"
"Oh, I already have my starter," Serena said to the black-haired boy. She then pulled out a Pokeball from her bag and sent out a yellow foxlike Pokemon. This Pokemon looked up at Serena and made a happy yip.
"Hello there!" Misty said as she knelt down to the unfamiliar Pokemon, "You sure are a little cutie!" She then put her hand out to pet the Pokemon, which Serena's Pokemon enjoyed. Serena explained that the Pokemon was a Fennekin, one of the three Pokemon that Kalos trainers can choose to begin their journeys with.
"That's cool," Ash said to Serena as he pets the fire-type fox as well.
"Anyways, let's get going!" Misty said. The three trainers then held hands as they happily skipped along to the lab in order to start their journey through the Kanto region together.
Several more years have passed, and Ash, Misty, and Serena were now 16 years old. They have traveled through all of the regions in the world, inching ever so closer to their goals. Right now, they were relaxing on a beach in the Alola region where Ash wanted to tell his girls something. He got up and looked at his two friends who were girls, but not quite girlfriends.
"Misty? Serena?" The two girls opened their eyes and looked at the boy. Like Ash, they both had crushes on him that were as deep as the Mariana Trench. And as Ash grew into more of a man, their crushes grew even more by the day.
"Yeah, Ash?" Serena asked. She brushed her shoulder-length blonde hair out of her face and stared at the muscles that Ash gained over the past several years.
"What is it?" Misty asked. She set her ponytail beside her neck as she also stared at Ash.
"I want to tell you both something…" he said to the girls that he spent the past years with. He then took a deep breath and explained everything. "Ever since we met over a decade ago, I knew I have met two special girls in my life. And my feelings for the both of you have grown exponentially over this decade. Misty, Serena, I love both of you. However, I know I can only choose one of you. I have had a very difficult time deciding who to pick, but in the end, I have chosen…"
Both girls looked at Ash for a long moment, both hoping for him to say their name. They would both be upset if they did not get picked but would understand why Ash chose the other one. They watched as Ash grew quiet for a full minute and said.
"I choose you…" Ash said. Misty and Serena both held their breath. Ash said this phrase a lot over their journeys across the world whenever he sent a Pokemon into battle, and they knew why he would choose this for the most important moment in their lives.
"..." Ash finally spat it out, "MISTY!" Misty gasped and smiled a wide smile before tackling the boy she has been traveling with for several years and thanking him a whole bunch. Ash smiled and returned the hug before facing Serena and asking if she was okay with just being a friend in his eyes.
Serena nodded as she looked down sadly. She wanted Ash to pick her, but she was alright with her best friend being with him instead. After all, like there are a million Magikarp in the sea, there were a million other people for her to potentially call her husband. Both Ash and Misty saw what was going on with Serena, and felt sorry for her. They broke their kiss and went up to give her a big hug.
"I hope this makes you feel better, Serena," Ash said to his blonde friend. Serena smiled slightly and nodded, "We are still friends, right?"
"Of course!" Ash said, "You are one of my two best friends in the world! Well, human ones at least."
The three then smiled before heading back home, Ash and Misty holding hands, ready to begin their new relationship together.
