Okay, I'm back. Been in retirement for a while for several personal issues, but that's done and over with. I'm going to be rewriting or rebooting several stories as well as deleting a few and working on several new ones. Now that I got this out of the way, here's a new story.

This is rated for language, lemons/limes, mentions of abuse/neglect. Slight AU, only slightly, takes place shortly after the Overhaul Arc. No character bashing will be used in this story…which is strange as I usually always add some sort of bashing, but I want to try and not do that. Slight OOC at times.

With that done, please enjoy the first chapter.

Eri tossed and turned as she whimpered in her sleep, "You're nothing, you're a monster," she looked around the dark before she saw Kai stepping out of the shadows and her red eyes widened in fear as he stepped towards her, "Every knows you're a burden. Everyone believes your Quirk is nothing more than a curse, even the heroes. They didn't want to save you, but if you come with me, everything will be okay, I promise," Kai extended his arm out and opened his hand as he reached for Eri before she sat up and screamed.

Looking around the dark room, the small girl frowned before tossing the sheets aside and jumped out of bed before running out of the room in a panic.

Izuku moaned as he slowly opened his eyes to the sound of repeated knocking on his door. Looking down at his phone, he yawned, "After two in the morning? Who in the hell is it?" climbing out of bed, he walked over to the door and yawned again, "I'm coming, I'm coming," opening the door, he looked around before he looked down and his eyes widened to see a frightened Eri standing in front of him, "E-Eri? What are you doing out of bed? It's late and you should be-"

"I…I can't sleep," Eri frowned, "He's coming for me…I had a dream, and he was coming for me…he said all kinds of mean things to me,"

Izuku frowned before he knelt down and placed a hand on Eri's shoulder, "Eri, Overhaul can't hurt you, he's been arrested, and even if he weren't, you're safe. You're in a building with heroes and he'd have to be foolish to try and break into the school to get you, but even still, I won't let him hurt you again," he stood up and stretched, "Now, let's get you back to bed an-"

"C…can I sleep in here with you?" Eri looked at Izuku with tears forming in her eyes, "Please? I don't want to be alone,"

Izuku inhaled slowly before he slightly smiled, "Okay, you can stay here tonight, Eri," Eri quickly hugged Izuku's leg and Izuku looked down in confusion as he arched a brow, "Eri?"

"Thank you, papa,"

'Papa? What,' Eri ran past him and climbed into bed as Izuku stepped back into the room and closed the door before walking over to Eri and tucked her in and began laying on the floor, "Goodnight, Eri,"

"You're not sleeping up here?"

"No, I'll be fine on the floor, get some sleep, okay?" Eri slowly nodded as she laid down and the two slowly drifted off to sleep.

Izuku moaned as he opened his eyes to the sound of Eri whimpering before she began crying. Jumping up, he rushed towards the bed and sat down before placing a hand on Eri, starling her awake, "Hey, it's okay…it's just me," Eri cried as she quickly hugged Izuku and Izuku hugged her back, "It's okay, Eri. I'm here…did you have another nightmare?" Eri cried into Izuku's chested and nodded, "Okay…I'm going to stay here with you tonight,"

Eri looked up before rubbing her eyes and sniffled a little, "A-are you sure, papa?"

'Again with the papa thing…I'll ask her about it in the morning, but for now I want her to get some sleep,' Izuku smiled and nodded, "I'm sure, Eri. My mother used to do this for me when I was your age and I had nightmares," Eri frowned and nodded as Izuku laid beside her and she quickly hugged him, shaking violently, "It's okay, Eri. The nightmares won't hurt you," he patted the top of her head as Eri fell into an uneasy slumber and Izuku slowly drifted off to sleep.

Izuku slowly opened his eyes to the feeling of someone poking his cheek. Looking up, he saw Eri sitting up, staring down at her, "Hey Eri," he yawned before he sat up and stretched, "What's wrong? Is everything okay?"

"I…I'm hungry," Eri's stomach growling filled the room as her eyes widened and she hung her head, "I…I'm sorry, papa, I was hungry an-"

"No, you have nothing to be sorry about Eri," Izuku assure with a smile and Eri nodded before she climbed out of bed and began walking towards the door, "Hey Eri?" Eri stopped and looked back in confusion, "Real quick question…why have you been calling me papa since you came to my room last night?"

"B-because you saved me, you keep me safe and you made the bad dream go away…like a papa," Eri slowly walked back to him and frowned, "You…you don't want to be my papa? It's because I'm a curse, isn't it?"

"What? No, no, no," Izuku climbed out of bed and knelt in front of her, "Eri, never think you're a curse because of your Quirk. Your Quirk is something you should be proud of. What happened to you was traumatizing, but you shouldn't think that way about yourself…I was just asking because I was a little confused is all,"

"So…you'll be my papa?" Izuku hummed and slightly smiled before Eri hugged him and gave a small smile, "Thank you, papa,"

"You're welcome Eri," Izuku stood up and patted the top of her head, "Let's go get you some breakfast, okay?" Eri nodded before the two of them turned and walked out of the room as Izuku closed the door behind them.

The two stepped into the common room and Izuku hummed as he looked around in confusion before rubbing his chin, "That's strange…I know it's the weekend, but usually someone is-" before he could finish his train of thought, they heard a crash come from the kitchen and Eri quickly jumped behind Izuku and hugged his leg as she shook.

Izuku patted the top of her head before he spoke, "It's okay, Eri, it might just be Mr. Aizawa or one of my classmates," Eri looked up with a frightened look behind her eyes, "They won't hurt you, but I guess we better see what that noise was, huh?" Eri slowly nodded as Izuku walked towards the kitchen and she clung to his pantleg as they walked.

Peering into the kitchen, Izuku sighed and shook his head as he saw Momo standing in the middle of the room, "Yaoyorozu?" she jumped and looked back, "Sorry…I thought everyone would be spending time with their families,"

"I could say the same thing to you, Midoriya," Momo took a deep breath, "I went to visit my parents last night and I just got back about an hour ago…what are you still doing here?"

"I was going to visit my mother, but she's spending time with some of her friends, so I told her I'd stop by next weekend an-" feeling someone shake from behind him, he looked down and frowned at Eri before he knelt beside her.

Momo hummed and arched a brow, "And who is this?"

"Yaoyorozu, this is the little girl I helped rescue in that raid, Eri. Eri, this is my classmate Momo Yaoyorozu," Eri frowned as she nestled up against Izuku and buried her face in his chest, "She's…shy, and for very good reasons…I'll tell you later," Momo hummed and nodded, "It's okay, Eri…Yaoyorozu is one of the nicest people I know. She won't hurt you,"

"A-are you sure, papa?"

'Papa?' Momo thought, 'I'd love to hear the story behind that, but another time,' Momo knelt down and slightly smiled, "Hello Eri, it's very nice to meet you," Eri frowned before her stomach growled and Momo shook her head, "It sounds like you're a little hungry,"

"Oh right," Izuku stood up before picking Eri up and carried her to the table before setting her down on one of the chairs, "Almost forgot, I was supposed to make breakfast," he looked back at Momo, "Would you care to join us, Yaoyorozu?" Momo hummed and nodded before she and Izuku began cooking.

After eating, Momo and Eri sat on the couch while Izuku began cleaning up. Momo looked at the child beside her and frowned as she watched as Eri hung her head and began to fidget slightly, "So…Eri, I was-" Eri began shaking and whimpering and Momo frowned, 'Midoriya said she was shy, but he told her I was nice and that I wouldn't hurt her…she saw us talking while we were eating…think, Momo…what can you do to show Eri you don't want to hurt her?" Momo's eyes widened before she slightly smiled, "Eri, do you like stuffed animals?"

Eri looked up with wide, sparkling eyes, "Okay, wait one second," carefully lifting up her shirt, Momo activated her Quirk and Eri looked as a bright light emerged from Momo's stomach.

The light soon dimmed, and Momo handed Eri stuffed bear, which she took and hugged tightly, "You see…I'm not a bad person, right?"

"You are nice…just like papa said,"

"And that's something I wanted to ask you," Eri looked up as Momo slightly frowned, "Why…why did you call Midoriya papa? Is everything okay? Did something happened?"

"He saved me, he keeps me safe, and he made the bad dream go away…like a papa, and he said he'll be my papa,"

Momo's eyes widened as a they heard someone take a deep breath, "That's what she told me," they looked back to see Izuku enter the room, "Eri came into my room last night, frightened because of a nightmare, I allowed her to stay with me, she called me papa a few times and…I don't mind it,"

Momo slightly smiled as Eri jumped up and ran towards him, holding the bear, "Papa, look what Miss Momo made for me,"

Izuku slightly smiled as he patted the top of her head, "That's great, Eri. Did you say thank you to Yaoyorozu?" Eri slightly frowned as she held the bear close to her, "Did you say thank you to Yaoyorozu, Eri?"

Eri turned and slowly walked back to Momo. Standing in front of her, Eri slightly bowed, "T-thank you for my new bear, Miss Momo,"

"You can just call me Momo, Eri, and you're quite welcome," Eri nodded before she looked up at Izuku, "A-actually, Eri…would you mind if I talk to Midoriya alone for a few minutes," Eri frowned as she stepped back against Izuku, "It'll be okay. I just need to talk to…your papa real fast, and we'll be right here,"

Eri looked up at Izuku and frowned, "Papa?"

"It'll be okay, Eri. I'll be right here, okay?" Eri slowly nodded before she walked away from Izuku and stood by the far wall as she hugged the bear close to her, "So…you wanted to know why she's shy?"

"That, the full story on why she calls you papa and why you're so calm about it and what are you going to do about classes on Monday?"

Izuku frowned as he sat down next to her, "When she was with that villain…he tormented her…physically and psychologically, calling her all sorts of names, like monster, a curse, a burden…and being a kid, she believed all that," Momo's eyes widened as she quietly gasped, "She didn't want to be rescued at first because she didn't want anyone getting hurt…but…we eventually saved her…I mean yeah, we unfortunately did lose Sir Nighteye that day," Momo frowned and slowly nodded as Izuku continued, "But that's just a price we pay for being heroes,"

Momo slowly nodded again, "And like she said, she had a nightmare last night and came to my room and asked if she could stay with me…she called me papa twice last night and I didn't think much of it…this morning I asked her and she told me the same thing she told you…she then asked if I didn't want to be her papa because of her Quirk and then she called herself a curse…to which I told her not to do something like that and…to be honest, I wouldn't have felt right if I ignored her like that, so…I'm her papa now,"

"I suppose that makes sense…but Midoriya, what about classes?" Izuku frowned as he shook his head, "She's hesitant…it took me giving her a teddy bear just to get her to talk to me, and the others don't share my Quirk. You can't leave her alone while we're in school all day,"

"And I wasn't planning to do that," Izuku leaned back and stared up at the ceiling with a hardened expression crossing his face, "I could ask All Might, or Kayama Sensei or Aizawa Sensei or even my mother if they can care for her while I'm in class, but…I don't know how Eri would react to being around other people…if I have to, I'll ask Aizawa Sensei if I can bring her to class with me,"

"And again, she's…she is hesitant on even walking up to people and some of our classmates are a little…you know…Bakugou, Mina can be a little much at times, the same can be said about Tooru, Kaminari and Kirishima can be obnoxious at times, and they can scare her and…I don't know what to say, but if you think you can bring her to class with you without her getting frightened then you can talk to Sensei an-"

"I want to come with papa," they looked back and saw Eri, still holding the bear, frowning, "I want to stay with papa…and…you'll be there too, Momo?"

Momo slightly smiled and nodded, "I'll be there, Eri," Eri smiled before climbing onto the couch and leaned up against Izuku as she continued to hold the bear while Momo and Izuku smiled down at her.

"But are you sure about this, Eri? There's going to be a lot more people there,"

"I'll be okay because you'll be there, papa," Izuku hummed and patted the top of her head.

Eri's head bobbed up and down as the three of them watched TV before she laid her head on Izuku's lap and fell asleep while holding the bear. The two heroes in-training looked down before Momo looked up and arched a brow, "So…did she have a rough night last night or something?"

"She had another nightmare after coming to my room…I don't know how well she slept last night, but since everyone is away until tomorrow night, I guess I'll let her sleep for a bit…it won't hurt her to take a little nap, would it?" Momo hummed and shook her head as Izuku patted the top of Eri's head as she slept.

Momo looked up and sighed, "Midoriya?" Izuku hummed and looked at her in confusion, "I know you have a plan when it comes to classes, but what're you going to do with her if you have to run somewhere? I doubt the teachers would want to watch her every time you have to run out of the door,"

"Well…if I do have to go somewhere…would you mind staying with her?" Momo's eyes widened, "I mean…you said so yourself, she talks to you…I mean yeah, you had to give her a stuffed bear, but…she knows you won't do anything to hurt her and it won't be that often that I ask you to watch her,"

"I know you won't, and I won't mind watching her once in a while…it could be fun, and it'll show her that she can trust me," Izuku hummed and nodded before the two of them watched TV in silence.

Eri moaned as she opened her eyes and yawned before she sat up. Looking up, her eyes widened when she saw Momo and Izuku sleeping, Momo's head resting on Izuku's shoulder as Izuku's head leaned against the top of Momo's. Leaning towards them, the white-haired girl began poking their cheeks simultaneously before they moaned and slowly opened their eyes. Looking at each other, they felt their faces grow warmer before they jumped back and looked away from each other, "I uh…sorry about that, Midoriya, I must've dozed off not too long after Eri,"

"N-no…it's my fault, Yaoyorozu…I must've fallen asleep without realizing it," Eri giggled and the two looked at her and Izuku slightly smiled, "And what's so funny, Eri?"

"Nothing," Eri smiled before climbing off the couch, "C'mon papa, let's play," Izuku smiled as he stood up and stretched as Eri looked at Momo, "Can you play with us, Momo?"

'It looks like she's warming up to me a little,' Momo slightly smiled before she slowly nodded, "Of course, Eri," Eri smiled as Momo stood up and Eri took Momo and Izuku by the hand before pulling them into another room.
