Welcome to the second stop at the Angst-train, where we're going to express the biggest hit this fandom will ever experienced...but first, I'm going to answer reviews early.

RonaldM4: If witches do exists in modern society, they'd use their magic to fix a lot of problems in the world.

BlueKnight-X2: Dolly stated that she found the photo while after Skara takes Amity for help.

OMAC001: The Weird Sisters were pretty much Buck's idea, so he may see it coming. Well, Buck I mean, not Belos.

Gamerlover41592: There's only one fear...and it's in this chapter.

The Great Fossil King: Maybe...not yet.

Ultimate-drax: Oh it's going to bite her big...and yeah, you can say that Hercules is a major influence in this fic.

Garonus56: Sentirás que tu corazón se acelera en este capítulo. Y si te estás preguntando cuántos quedan, especulo que la primera temporada de este capítulo terminará a los 40 años o más. Unos 40+ y un epílogo.

Crosshot: Surprised that Shuffollower hasn't commented yet, but here we are. You'll gonna have to fill in some stuff in the Tearjerker page. Also yeah while Dolly is clarified as an instigator of doom, you can't help but consider that Puck also had a hand as if he hadn't interfered at the grugby game, Boscha wouldn't blamed on Luz and Amity for interfering on the field, and Dolly wouldn't have given the opportunity to use this chance to help Boscha get revenge.

6) ¿Alguna vez has leído MacBeth? 7) Depende. 8) Potencialmente. 9) Eso es cazar ya. 10) Verás 11) Verás 12) Sí. 13) Alguien morirá... de diversión!

Ultimateheatblast4: Nice ideas, man.

Alright, that's all of the reviews I could answer for now. It's time to get on board to a wild and angsty roller coaster ride! Hooty, the disclaimer.

Hooty: You got it, hoot-hoot!(Reading the disclaimer) "The Owl House is owned by Dana Terrance and Disney Channel. This fanfic and it's affiliates are non-profit and use for fandom story. Please support the official release, and hopefully we'll get a season 4"...oh now that's just a punch in the gut, you know?

Chapter 36: Everything's Gone Wrong

After leaving the Owl House, Amity saw that Hooty was asleep as she made her way through the woods until she found someone waiting for her by a tree with their hood up. It was Lilith.

"Were you followed?" the woman asked.

"No, they're still at home," Amity whispered. "Why are you here? If they see you-"

"I know, but I had to speak with you as soon as possible," Lilith told her. "We have to discuss the situation with Luz and Eda."

"Yeah, um," Amity said while looking down with a guilty expression. "Can't we talk about this at home?"

"It can't wait," Lilith said before she noticed her goddaughter's expression. "Amity, is there something wrong?"

"Um, it's nothing…" Amity replied. "It's been a long day, with the grugby incident and having dinner with my girlfriend's family." She sighed. "Look, we'll talk about Luz and Eda tomorrow. I'm just tired and-"

"We need to talk about this now, Amity," Lilith interrupted. "This is very important."

"Hey, you may have made me your spy but I still think this can wait until morning," Amity told her. "Sorry that I don't have anything to report after having a very nice family dinner."

"Yes, I did make you my spy but you still agreed to it," Lilith reminded her. "Don't forget that we made a deal."

"Only because I was desperate to make up for my recent failures and because I was desperate for your approval," Amity countered. "Ever since the incident with my memories I've been giving this some thought… and I feel like you have been taking advantage of my desire to please you."

Lilith was taken aback by Amity's claim. "Amity, you know that I wouldn't-"

"The only reason that we've spent so much time together recently is because you were getting something out of me," Amity pointed out. "And I craved your affection, which you gave to me like you were holding a carrot on a stick so you could continue to get what you wanted."

Lilith was surprised that Amity would say something like this, though admittedly there was some truth to it. The only reason they had spent more time together lately is because of their agreement and Lilith using Amity for information. But the connection she felt to Amity was genuine and she liked being closer to her goddaughter. She even was starting to see Amity as more than just a protégé…

"I'm sorry that you feel that way," Lilith told her, which didn't make Amity feel better. "But I do care about you, Amity. I'm just trying to do what's best for you, and my family."

Amity looked down. "What happened between you and Luz?"

Lilith hesitated before answering. "We, um, talked."

"She looked upset earlier," Amity told Lilith, looking up at her suspiciously. "What did you say to her?"

"Not much, really," Lilith tried to explain. "We hit it off at first, got to know each other a bit more, and…"

"And?" Amity asked. "What was it that made her mad?"

Lilith sighed. "I told her that she couldn't be a witch."

"WHAT?!" Amity yelled before Lilith tried to cover her mouth to prevent the Blight girl from being heard. Amity pushed her hand away. "How could you say that?!"

"Because it's the truth," Lilith argued. "Luz is not safe in the Boiling Isles anymore. Belos expects me to bring both her and her mother in, but I want to make sure that Luz is sent to stay with her own kind in the human world. It is where she belongs and where she'll be safe."

Amity glared at Lilith in anger. "How. Dare. You." She pointed at her accusingly. "Let me tell you something, Lilith. She is with her own kind. She's Luz Clawthorne and no matter what anyone else thinks, she's a witch and I don't want anyone to tell her that she isn't! What right do you have to decide who or what she is? She's had enough of everyone telling her she's not a witch, but I know she is just as much of a witch as anyone else."

"Amity, calm yourself down," Lilith ordered.

"No! Luz wanted to trust you but instead you just hurt her! Especially since you are her aunt, her own family!" Amity argued. "And don't tell me that she is not really your family since she is a human, because I will not hear of it!"

"Amity, enough!" Lilith argued back. "Are you really turning on me, after everything I've done for you? After I made sure that your mother would allow you to keep hanging out with Luz, after I agreed to keep your relationship with Luz a secret from your parents, and after I even released you from your oath-"

"What!?" Amity interrupted. "You… released me from the oath? When?"

Realizing the slip up, Lilith sighed. "While you were asleep on the night after your inner self burned your memories," she admitted.

"And you never bothered to tell me this?" Amity asked.

"Because I hoped that you would still keep our agreement a secret, but if you did ever tell Luz I didn't want to risk putting you through someone like that again," Lilith explained.

"That still doesn't excuse you not telling me sooner!" Amity shouted. "All this time I thought that I was still under the oath, physically unable to tell Luz the truth. But this whole time I could have told her, but you kept me under the impression that I couldn't!" She stepped away from Lilith.

"Amity please, you don't understand," Lilith said, grabbing Amity's wrist. "Please, if I could just-"

"Don't touch me!" Amity smacked Lilith's hand away, tears in her eyes. "And stay away! Don't act like you care! You used me, manipulated me!"

Lilith looked at her in shock. "Amity, I'm sorry…"

"Tomorrow, I'm going to tell Luz everything," Amity admitted. "She deserves the truth. Even if it might hurt our relationship, I still want to be honest with her. Consequences be damned."

Amity started to walk away, keeping her distance from Lilith as she headed home. The Clawthorne woman lowered her head, standing there in silence as she reflected upon her choices… alone.

King sighed sadly as he returned home to find Luz and Eda cleaning up after dinner.

"Hey, took you long enough," Luz told him. "Did you manage to give Amity her pen back?"

"Uh… you know, I kinda missed her," King answered.

"Well, maybe I can just give it to her tomorrow at school," Luz said while putting the dirty plates in the sink.

King sighed, realizing that he had to tell Luz even if it would hurt her. "Okay, okay, there's something you guys need to know," he told them but Eda interrupted him.

"Hey look, the last wing!" Eda held it up. "I'll let you guys bid for it."

"I bid four snails!" Luz offered.

"Guys, you need to listen-"

Hooty popped in after waking up. "The last wing? I'll take it for six snails!"

Luz held up a hangar. "I'll give ya eight snails and this earring!"

"Ten snails!" Hooty cried out.

"AMITY IS LILITH'S SPY!" King shouted, finally managing to get their attention.

The three paused and turned to him. "King, what are you talking about?" Luz asked.

He lowered his head. "I overheard a conversation Amity had while she was in the bathroom, then followed her out of the house until I saw her with Lilith and learned that Amity was been spying on us for her this entire time!"

"King, what you're saying doesn't make any sense," Luz told him. "Maybe you just misheard Amity or you only think you saw Lilith-"

"I know what I saw and heard!" King said defensively while Luz turned away. "Amity has been lying to you, Luz! You have to believe me!"

"I don't," Luz told him bluntly. She sighed. "Look, I know that Amity cares about me. If this is because you're jealous of her and how much attention she is getting from me, I understand. But I still don't appreciate you making up lies."

"Luz, listen-"

"No, you listen, King!" Luz put her foot down. "I would know if my own girlfriend was spying on me, especially after everything that we have been through together. I trust her."

The two glared at each other and Eda had to step in. "Okay, you two calm down."

"If you thought you saw something, it wasn't real," Luz continued. "It was probably just another one of your delusions."

"Delusions?!" King snapped.

"Luz, that's a bit uncalled for," Eda scolded her.

"Oh, so you're taking his side now?" Luz asked, turning to her mother. "You want to play along with this latest delusion, just like you've always done since you found him?"

Hooty gasped, while King turned toward Eda in confusion.

"Eda, what is she talking about?" he asked.

Before Eda could answer, Luz shook her head. "I can't deal with this right now," she said as she went to open the door and walk out of the house.

"Luz, wait!" Eda shouted while trying to chase after her daughter. "It's late!"

"I'm going to sleep over at Willow's," Luz told her. "I just don't want to be in the same house as King right now, not while he is lying about my girlfriend."

"We can still talk about this," Eda said to Luz.

"Not until you put some sense into him first!" Luz shouted while continuing to walk away.

"Luz? Luz come back!" Eda cried out. "Don't make me use my magic on you, young lady!"

"Don't bother." King said and Eda turned to him. Though he tried to hide it, she could see how upset he was. "She obviously doesn't know what she's talking about, right? About me being delusional?"

Eda looked down at her adopted son and sighed. "Yeah, right. She is just upset. We can clear everything up tomorrow, but first I want you to tell me everything that you believe you heard and saw regarding Amity earlier."

She turned back in the direction that Luz had gone in, but her daughter was already out of sight.

Luz fought back tears while she walked through the streets of Bonesborough and messaged Willow on her scroll.

Luz: Hey, Willow-Wisp.

Willow: Luz? What's up?

Luz: Can I… spend the night at your place?

Willow: Um, okay, sure. Did something happen?

Luz sniffed as she sent her reply.

Luz: It's complicated. Just ask your folks if I can come in through your window again for a sleepover.

Willow nodded as she put down her scroll and called out to her parents. "Dad! I know this is very sudden, but Luz wants to know if she can come in through my window and spend the night?"

"Just pull out a sleeping bag for her, honey!" Gilbert responded from the kitchen before turning to his husband. "Why doesn't Luz ever use the door?"

"She's Eda's kid, that's why," Sully responded.

Outside of the Boiling Isles, Kitsuni was waiting in a white corridor. In front of her was a fax machine with eyeballs and teeth.

"Okay, I'm feeling something coming, give me a sec," Fax the fax machine demon grunted. He screamed in agony as a blue piece of paper came out of him.

Kitsuni took the paper and it blinked at her. Surprised, she dropped it and the piece of paper turned into Anu Bist. "I need to have a word with the Order."

"About Puck, I presume," Kitsuni guessed

"You mean Oberon's step-son?" Anu Bist asked and Kitsuni looked at him in confusion.

"What?" she asked him. "Puck isn't Oberon's step-son. Who gave you that idea? Because if it was Puck himself, you of all people should know better than to trust the word of a-"

"Mary told me," Anu Bist said and Kitsuni immediately fell silent. "Though these days she calls herself Julia Traveler. She stopped me from bringing Puck in and helped me realize that I wasn't being told everything."

"W-well then," Kitsuni replied. "That makes two of us. Oberon made a case for us apprehending Puck, despite the Boiling Isles technically being outside of our jurisdiction. But he made no mention of the rogue Fae being his step-son."

"That is… that is just like him," Anu Bist said in frustration, realizing that Kitsuni had been deceived just like him. "This is why you can never trust a Fae. Is the Order having a meeting right now?"

"Yes, but you can't see them without an appointment," Kitsuni told him.

"I don't think so," Anu Bist responded. "Either I see them now or I leave and come back with Mary so that she can deal with you all herself."

"T-that won't be necessary," Kitsuni said quickly. "You can go ahead and see them."

"I thought you would see it my way," Anu Bist nodded as he walked past Kitsuni. "I'm going to give those damn bureaucrats a piece of my mind."

When morning came, Eda woke up with a yawn and found King still sleeping by the bedside of her nest.

"Oh, right. He came in to cool off after the argument last night," Eda said to herself as she remembered what happened. She sighed.

"Hoot-Hoot! Guess who's at the door!" Hooty announced from downstairs

"Luz?" Eda's eyes widened as she realized that her daughter must've come back home so that they can set things straight and let everything go back to normal. She quickly ran to the front door and threw it open. "Luz, honey, you're he-" She stopped, her expression changing from hopeful to disappointed. "Oh, it's you."

"Edalyn," Lilith greeted. "Where's Luz? We need to talk."

Luz gave a tired yawn as she walked to school with Willow and Gus.

"You alright?" Willow asked her.

"Yeah, I will be," Luz answered.

"So why did you sleepover at Willow's?" Gus questioned.

"It's just that… look, can we just go to school and not think about our drama?" Luz replied while Viney and Barcus walked up to join them.

"Morning," Viney said to the trio and Barcus barked his own greeting.

"Hey, where's Jerbo?" Gus asked, noticing his absence.

"Oh, he's on a skiing trip with his family at the Knee," Viney explained. "He was really nervous about it though."

The students had not yet entered the building as Bump and Julia walked together through the halls of Hexside. To their surprise, they found Nicole standing outside the door to Julia's office.

"Principal Bump, and Ms. Traveler, I'm glad that I was able to catch you before school started," Nicole said, acting concerned. "I wish to go over yesterday's incident at the grugby game with you. Could we please talk about it in your office, Ms. Traveler?"

Boscha watched as the students of Hexside started to fill its hallways. She was holding onto a bunch of fliers that she and her mom had printed out the previous night. With Boscha was Dolly and Tyler, who were also holding fliers. Her scroll buzzed and Boscha smirked when she saw the message: Phase One complete, now for Phase Two.

"So, uh, what are we doing again?" Tyler asked.

"I need you and Dolly to pass these fliers around school," Boscha told him. "Make sure that everyone sees them."

"You got it!" Dolly said cheerfully. "I knew you'd come around, Boscha!"

"What are these fliers even for?" Tyler asked while looking at one. "Human Facts?"

"Don't worry about it, just pass them out," Boscha ordered, dispatching him and Dolly into the crowd of students. Boscha, meanwhile, started posting the fliers in her stack on every locker and wall in the school.

As Luz's group approached hexside, they saw Amity with Ed and Em by the entrance.

"Luz, morning-" Amity said before Luz ran up and embraced her in a hug. She blushed. "Whoa, what's with the hug? Not that I mind."

"I'm just glad to see you," Luz told her.

"Is everything alright?" Amity asked in concern.

"We can talk about it later," Luz said as she walked through the entrance. "But first I just want to get through another normal day at Hex…" She opened the doors and was shocked by the sight that greeted her. "...side?"

The fliers were now everywhere, with 'Human Facts' written on them. However, said facts were all about one thing: witch hunting.

"We keep telling you, Mrs. Hieron, Luz Clawthorne had nothing to do with the accident on the grugby field," Julia insisted.

"My daughter seems to think so," Nicole argued. "And she also believes that Amity Blight was in on it. In any case, I feel like you overlook the Clawthorne girl's history of delinquency far too easily. Clawthorne's don't change. I know that from experience."

"Boscha needed someone to blame," Julia countered. "And so do you. But Amity and Luz are innocent. The actual culprit is a Fae named-"

Nicole scoffed. "A Fae? Oh, you can't be serious. I don't get why you are trying to protect that human thug, but is that really the best excuse that you can come up with?"

"If it was Luz Clawthorne, we would've found out by now," Bump intervened. "But we had the field inspected before and after the game. Both times we discovered no evidence of tampering. Whatever happened yesterday was beyond the abilities of Luz."

"I am sorry for what happened to your daughter," Julia said to Nicole. "I really am. Boscha is hurt and I feel that right now what she needs is someone to talk to. May I recommend that you schedule an appointment for her with me?"

Nicole glared at Julia. "Absolutely not. My daughter does not need counseling. Hieron women are strong, not weak and fragile like that Blight girl who is now out to ruin my daughter. I don't want your sympathy, Ms. Traveler. I want revenge. Clawthorne and Blight must pay. And I promise you that they will…"

"Listen to me, Edalyn, this is very important," Lilith said while Eda boredly poured herself a cup of apple blood.

"If you're wondering where Luz is, you missed her," Eda responded. "She went to sleepover at a friend's house and by now she's probably at school-"

"You need to take her to the human world now," Lilith told her, startling Eda. "Belos is not just after you, he expects me to bring in Luz as well and I still don't trust his reasons for wanting her. I could get in a lot of trouble for doing this, but I am giving you a head start to pack up Luz's things and send her to the human world where she will be safe."

"H-Hold up, Lilith, this is too sudden," Eda said.

"I already warned you that Belos had plans for Luz, Edalyn," Lilith explained. "And now he expects me to bring you both in by sundown. If I don't, then he will send someone else to do the job instead. Someone who won't give you a warning before coming after you. I can't stop this, but I can help you save your daughter. I'm running out of time here, Eda. And so are you."

"What's going on here?" Amity asked while looking at the fliers. To her horror they had illustrations of witches being hung, burned, beheaded, browned, and tortured. The illustrations seemed to be taken from another source and in them all these horrible actions to witches were being done… by humans.

"Human facts: they burn witches at stakes?" Gus asked, looking appalled. "This is slander!"

"Who… who would post these?" Willow asked in shock.

Luz angrily grabbed a flier from a student. "Who's spreading this around?" she demanded to know and the scared-looking student pointed at a nearby Tyler, who was still passing the fliers around. Marching up to him, Luz grabbed him by the shirt collar.

"Hey, hey, ow!" Tyler was shoved to the locker.

"Why are you passing these around?!" Luz asked.

"I-I am only doing what I was told, honest!" Tyler stammered in fear.

"Who told you?!" Luz demanded.

"B-Boscha!" Tyler responded and Luz's glare intensified. "S-She told me if either me or Dolly came across you, you could find her in Bump's office."

After letting go of Tyler, Luz ran down the hall to confront Boscha.

"Luz!" Amity called after her, before glaring at the posters around them. "I should've known this was Boscha's doing."

"We can worry about Boscha later, right now we need to take these posters down as quickly as we can," Willow suggested. "Round up every poster and flier that you can find. And get Principal Bump or any of the teachers to help!"

They all nodded in agreement, the gang splitting up to either grab fliers away from students or tear the posters down.

"Okay, just answer me this, Lilith," Eda said to her sister. "Was Amity your spy?"

Lilith's eyes widened in alarm.

Luz ran to where Principal Bump's office was. She found the office's door already open and spotted Boscha in there, next to the desk which had a projector sitting on it. "Boscha!"

"Oh, hello Clawthorne," Boscha said as Luz came in.

"What the hell is this!?" Luz pulled up a flier. "Why is Tyler posting these around the school under your orders!?"

"All I'm doing is sharing some facts that I found in a book from your world and written by a human," Boscha told her, neither fearfully nor mockingly. Instead she looked quite serious. "Does even Augustus know about any of this? I mean, witch burnings?" She looked disgusted. "You have been hiding the truth from everyone, how your people persecuted and murdered ours."

Luz looked down, her fist tightening. "S-So what? The human race is a hot mess, I admit it. But demons and witches aren't perfect either. No matter what world, there's always going to be people who are pieces of shit who use and hurt others."

"I couldn't agree more," Boscha said while walking to the projector. "Which is why I want to show you something." She turned on the magic projector and it started to project a scene depicting Amity with Lilith at the Covention. "It turns out that your little Amity hasn't been honest with you…" She turned the intercom on so the whole school would hear.

"Answer the question, Lilith…" Eda said while noticing Lilith's guilty look.

"Look, it's just-" Lilith felt her sister's hand gripping her shoulder.

"Answer. The. Question." Eda seethed her teeth.

Amity looked for Luz while continuing to tear down posters and throw fliers away. "Luz!" she called out in worry before spotting Dolly slapping another flier on a locker. Amity grabbed the short girl's arm. "You!"

"Hey, Amity!" Dolly waved at her with a smirk.

"You're helping Boscha!?" Amity said in shock. "Why?!"

"I wouldn't be worried about that," Dolly told Amity. "I am afraid that there is something else you should be more worried about."

Before Amity could question Dolly further, they both heard something over the intercom.

"I'm fine, Ms. Blight. You've really embarrassed yourself and my reputation for not showing up."

"I-I'm sorry, Ms. Lilith."

"Don't apologize to me, my student. You still have potential. I'm willing to forgive you with the right motivation."

Amity looked up at the intercom, her eyes widening in realization while Dolly giggled sinisterly. "What's wrong? Is this something you don't want your Luz to know?"

"W-What do you mean?"

"It's simple, my student. If you wish to make up for the embarrassment, I need you to do something for me. It's about that human girl you're tutoring, Luz."

Gus and Willow were both getting rid of fliers, but stopped when they heard the intercom.

"What… what about her?"

Viney, Barcus, Ed, and Em were also working together to dispose of the fliers when they heard the intercom.

"I was surprised to learn of her and now I need to know more. Especially since I am concerned about what Edalyn has been doing with her, since my sister is a wild witch who refuses to join a coven… and that's where you come in."

Bump and Julia heard the intercom playing. "What's going on here?" Bump demanded to know. "Did somebody get into my office?"

While he and Julia headed toward the door, Nicole smiled. "I told you that Blight and Clawthorne would pay for what they did to my daughter," she told the school staff. "Hieron women always get even…"

Amity rushed away after slamming Dolly into a locker. She headed for the principal's office, in a complete panic while the intercom continued to play her conversation with Lilith…

"M-Me?"

"Yes, I need you to keep an eye on them, then report back to me on everything you see, hear, or learn while you're at the Owl House tutoring Luz…"

All over Hexside, the students and teachers had stopped to listen to the conversation being played over the intercom.

"Are you asking me to… spy on them?"

"Oh don't think of it like that, dear. Just think of it as helping me check in on the well being of my sister and niece, since I can't do it myself thanks to my current...relationship with Edalyn. My sister also has a condition that makes me very worried about the safety of a human child in her care, so you can help me figure out if Luz is in danger from her mother by telling me what goes on in that home of theirs."

Many students were shocked by this. Among them were Skara, Amelia and Cat, who were in the hallway together.

"And with the information that you give me, I might be able to reach out to my sister and her daughter. Maybe even finally convince the former to join the covens. Do this for me and I can more easily ensure your future in the Emperor's Coven."

"Nononononono," said as she sprinted toward the opened door to the office. She found Boscha leaning on Bump's desk. "You!"

"Of course, you don't have to do this if you don't want to and I won't pressure you. It is your choice."

As Amity charged into the office, she noticed that Boscha wasn't alone. She froze in place when she saw Luz slumped in a chair, tears running down her face.

Lilith hesitated. "It's true. I… made Amity conspire with me to keep an eye on you and Luz. I just wanted to know how you were able to raise a human child, but it was between me and Amity only. I spoke nothing of it to Emperor Belos or anyone else… except Steve, who helped me keep an eye on the activities of the Emperor when I became suspicious of his interest in Luz." She looked pleadingly at her sister. "Please, Eda, you have to understand that everything I did was for our family."

"And no one will get hurt, right?"

"I do not intend to hurt either Edalyn or Luz, if that is what you're asking. This is for their benefit as well. They may not want the help I can give them right now, but they do need it. Don't worry, Amity. You won't just be doing me a favor. You'll be doing them one as well, even if they won't see it that way at the moment."

"Alright… I guess I can do that, Ms. Lilith."

"Good, and it can be our little secret. This also means that we will be seeing a lot more of each other in the future."

The scene ended and Boscha turned off the projector. Luz looked mortified, while Amity had fallen on her knees. Boscha glanced at Amity with a look of disappointment.

"I'm gonna leave you two alone," she told them as she walked out of the office, pulled out her scroll, and texted her mom. 'It's done.'

King had just woken up and he was walking downstairs to look for Eda. When he found her he was shocked to see Lilith there, but he was even more shocked by what Eda did next.

SMACK!

Lilith was slapped across her face, then grabbed by the collar of her shirt by her younger sister.

"You… dumb… bitch." Eda cursed. "How could you do something like this?!"

"Edalyn, please I'm sorry. You must understand-"

"It's one thing that you don't respect my wishes, Lilith, and disagree with how I live my life," Eda ranted. "But it's another thing to use a child to get close to my daughter. When Luz finds out, it's not going to be pretty. Amity is going to be left devastated and Titan knows that she has already been through so much, including getting mugged. Yet you decided to take advantage of this vulnerable girl by making her your spy."

"I… I didn't know about the mugging at the time. It was only after the conjuring that she told me," Lilith's voice cracked as tears came out of her eyes.

"So you continued to have her spy for you, even after learning that she was traumatized?!" Eda looked appalled. "What is wrong with you!?"

"I made sure to comfort her, alright. And I promised her that no one was going to get hurt from this," Lilith claimed.

"Do you know how sleazy that sounds!? As an adult you could've stopped at any point, but you didn't! Not when you learned about her mugging! Not when she was assaulted again! Not when her memories were destroyed! And not when they started dating, even though that would obviously hurt my daughter if she learned the truth." Eda shook her head in anger.

"Please, don't blame Amity for this. She genuinely cares about Luz and-"

"I know she does!" Eda shouted. "I don't blame Amity, who is just a child. She and Luz have been through a lot together. The one at fault here is you… what you did was borderline predatory. Both Luz and Amity are going to get hurt because of this, despite any promise you made."

"Edalyn, please…" Lilith begged her sister, grabbing her by her dress while in tears. "I'm sorry… but please, you have to send Luz back to her world. Amity told me about her human family there that can take care of her, about her step-brother and your ex."

Eda took a deep breath, her curse starting to rise. "I want you to get out of my house, you are not welcome here. If I see you near my kid and her friends again… I won't hesitate to kill your ass."

Lilith felt her sister's threat as she noticed the feathers coming out. "Eda… I'm your sister…"

"Luz, King, and even Hooty are my family. You on the other hand… are not my sister," Eda told her as Hooty wrapped around Lilith, pulled her out of the house, and closed the door behind him.

Eda breathed deeply, trying to compose herself. Only then did she notice the feathers that had popped out. Her eyes widened. "Oh no…" Before she could do anything, she fell to the floor and started to change into the Owl Beast.

"Eda!" King cried out before trying to find her elixir. "Hang on!"

Hooty dropped Lilith off far away from the Owl House, giving her a look of pity.

"Sorry that it didn't work out between you and Eda," he told her sincerely.

"Just tell Edalyn I'll be back for her," Lilith muttered as she stood up and walked away. She hugged herself, still quite shaken and heartbroken over what just happened.

Shaken, Amity tried to reach out to her girlfriend. "L-Luz…"

Luz, however, swatted her hand away and stood up.

"Don't touch me!" Luz snarled, glaring at Amity with tearful eyes that briefly glowed blue. She wiped her eyes as she tried to pull herself together. "H-How… all this time…"

"Luz it isn't like that, trust me-"

"Why should I listen to you?!" Luz spat in anger. ""After everything we've been through, everything I've done for you… I wrote a song for you! Was it all just a lie? You and Lilith were just… coven spies?!"

"It wasn't like that at all, it was between me and your aunt," Amity tried to explain. "I wanted to tell you about it at the carnival, but an everlasting oath prevented me from doing so… I only learned last night that Lilith relieved me of it without telling me."

"So King did see you with her last night?!" Luz shouted at her.

"Luz, please I'm sorry-"

"Don't follow me," Luz glared at her, utterly heartbroken and hurt. "I hope you enjoy your chance to be in the Emperor's Coven..." She rushed past Amity and into the hallway.

"Luz!" Amity cried out, crying.

"That's what you get for being a liar," said Boscha, who stood behind her.

Amity turned to Boscha with a glare and grabbed her by the collar "You bitch! Why? Why did you do that!?"

"You brought this upon yourself," Boscha told her. "You lied to me, lied to everyone, even to your human girlfriend. You're nothing but an opportunist, a green haired hypocrite that would do anything for power!" She frowned, almost sadly. "And the worst part is, she trusted you and thought everything she had with you was real. She thought she was happy with you… but in the end it wasn't real."

Amity angrily shoved Boscha, then ran off to find Luz. As Boscha readjusted herself and went into the hallway, she heard a familiar voice.

"Boscha!"

She turned to see Skara, who looked vividly upset. "Why did you do that?"

"I only did what needed to be done, trying to uphold my family name and exposing Amity for the horrible liar she is!" Boscha declared, while Skara looked disturbed by her behavior.

"Amity may have lied to Luz, but what you did was despicable!" Skara accused, having never felt this much anger in her life. "And not to mention, hypocritical!"

Boscha was taken aback, having never seen Skara this angry before. "What are you-"

"You had me to help you paint a hate tag on Luz's locker! Do you not remember that?" she pointed out. "You even tried to deny it to Amity! Don't pretend that you never lie when it suits you, because I've put up with you longer than anyone else in this school has and I can call you out on your shit! You may be honest about what a ^&*% you are, but when you preach about exposing liars… you're a hypocrite." Skara was teary eyed while Cat and Amelia came to her.

"Skara...I-"

"FUCK OFF!" Skara yelled at her. "I wanted to give you a chance, I wanted us to still be friends despite our falling out and how you treated people like Willow. You may have thought you were exposing Amity and Luz today, but you also exposed yourself for the horrible little witch that you are. After today, I want nothing more to do with you."

Boscha felt her heart break when she heard this. But her sadness quickly turned into anger and jealousy. "Fine! Go and hang with your 'new friend' Willow! You already replaced me with her anyway! But guess what? I don't need you, I never did! I don't need any of you!" As she watched Amelia and Cat escort Skara away, the triclops witch felt a hand on her shoulder. Looking over it, she saw a disappointed Julia and a very angry Principal Bump.

Amity burst out of the entrance of the school, looking for Luz as she called out for her. "LUZ! Please come back, I'm sorry!" Luz, however, was long gone. The Blight girl hiccupped and fell on her knees again, punching the ground. That's when she started to break down.

"Amity!"

Though she heard her older siblings running over to her, Amity didn't move. Edric and Emira went to help her, but she shouted at them through her hears. "Leave me alone!"

"But Amity…" Emira said.

"Just leave me to die," Amity told them with her cracked voice.

Startled, Edric and Emira looked at each other. Their faces were ridden with guilt as they remembered that they had once planned something similar, but now they saw just how much getting her secrets exposed had hurt Amity.

"Come on, let's take you home," Edric said as he and Emira helped her up.

"I'm going to text mom," Emira added as she took out her scroll, just as they heard Willow's voice behind them

"Amity!" Willow called out as she and Gus came out of the school entrance.

"Not another step!" Amity cried out, not wanting anyone else to see her in her breakdown.

"Amity…" Willow said while Gus stepped in, looking mad.

"How could you, Amity?" Gus asked her. "You meant a lot to Luz, and it turns out that you're a coven spy?! You're nothing but a fake!"

"Augustus, stop!" Willow scolded him. "Can't you see that she feels bad enough as it is?"

"How can you side with her after what she did?" Gus questioned. "To you and Luz?"

"She at least deserves a chance to explain herself," Willow told him, but Gus scoffed.

"There's nothing to explain, she's a traitor who hurt Luz!" Gus argued.

"I still want to hear her side of the story," Willow insisted, remembering when Amity originally ended their friendship. "And learn about any context that may be missing." She sighed. "Just go to class, Gus. We'll talk about this later." As she went toward Amity, a still mad Gus turned around and headed back inside with his head lowered.

Amity was huffing and crying when she saw Willow coming closer. "P-p-please… go away…"

"Amity, listen to me," Willow told her. "Look around you, what do you see?"

The youngest Blight looked around her. "I see… the sidewalk… the coven flags… the trees…" She sniffed and looked at who was with her. "Ed… Em… you."

"Better?" Willow calmly asked and Amity nodded. "Okay, now if it is not too much can you explain to me what happened between you and Lilith? I heard the audio and I want to know when did this deal take place?"

"A-At the Covention," Amity responded. "M-Ms. Lilith promised that I could make it up to her for missing the duel a-a-at the time. I was so desperate to please her and get in her good graces… she then started staying at our place."

"She lived in your house?" Willow asked.

"Lilith is more than her mentor… she's her godmother," Emira admitted, which surprised Willow. "Though they weren't too close until she moved in."

"We didn't know that Lilith put her up to it, honest," Edric swore. "Lilith only ever talked with Amity."

"I was going to tell Luz about it today," Amity mentioned. "I didn't think I could before because of an everlasting oath, but just last night I learned that Lilith had unbounded me while I was sleeping and never told me!" She sniffed. "Before then I tried to tell Luz when we were at the carnival, but I was physically unable to then because of the stupid oath…"

Willow started connecting the dots, remembering that the Inner Amity took control and burned Amity's memories because Amity had gone into a cursed Hall of Mirrors to throw up. "That means…" Willow put her hands on Amity's shoulders. "Listen to me, Amity. What Lilith did was messed up! It led to you getting hurt and afterward she still let you think that you were still under the oath! This is not your fault!"

"I-It doesn't matter," Amity said weakly. "Luz hates me now… I'm a horrible person…"

"No, don't say that!" Willow told her. "Never tell yourself that. You've made a lot of mistakes, Amity, but I know that you're trying to learn from those mistakes. Lilith is your mentor, she should have been helping you instead of using you to further her own goals. Don't let her, Boscha, the Inner Demon, or anyone else get to you. I'm sure that Luz will forgive you in time, but I think for now you just have to give her some space after Boscha dumped all of this on her like that. In the meantime, I'm here for both of you. And I am not going anywhere."

Amity let Willow's words sink in before hugging her tightly. "Please… take me home. I don't feel like going back in."

"I will," Willow promised before joining the Blight twins in helping to take Amity home.

Luz ran through the woods, heading home and not wanting anyone to see how upset she was. She paused for a moment to calm herself, falling on her knees trying to not get a panic attack.

'Don't break out, don't break out,' Luz thought while taking a deep breath. In order to not get a panic attack, she looked at the environment around her, "Trees… birds nest… bushes…" she told herself before trying to get up. But she quickly fell back down while banging her fists on the ground. "FUCK!" she cried out, hitting the ground several more times.

After that, she slowly walked the rest of the way to the Owl House. She wiped away her tears, thinking about her argument with King. As she went to open the door, she heard King's voice.

"Eda, wake up! Wake up!"

Realizing her mom was in trouble, Luz opened the door and found her mother laying down while King put elixir after elixir in her mouth "MOM!" She rushed over to the couch. "King, what happened?"

"Lilith came over and Eda argued with her and then she started to change into the Owl Beast!" King said in a panic.

"We keep giving her elixir, but her curse is still popping up feathers!" Hooty elaborated.

"What?" Luz asked in shock before joining their efforts in feeding more elixir to her mother.

Viney pulled down another poster, while others like Barcus, Cat, Amelia, Skara, Bo and Simon joined her efforts.

"Thanks for helping me take these down," Viney told them.

"It's the least we can do," Skara replied with a sigh. "I never knew that Boscha would pull something like this."

"How are you feeling, Simon?" Cat asked and the buffed Construction Track student just sighed as well.

"After what Boscha did… I don't know what got into her," he stated.

As Viney pulled another poster down, she noticed a black spot on the wall. "Huh?" she said, before Anu Bist's head popped out. "Yah!"

"Sorry I'm late, I had to deal with damn bureaucrats," Anu Bist said as he stepped out of the black spot and noticed the posters that the students were taking down. "What happened here?"

Later that day, Lilith arrived at Blight Manor after receiving a call from Odalia. She was surprised to find her things packed up outside the front door. Confused, she knocked and Odalia answered. "You," the Blight matriarch said venomously.

"Odalia, why did you call me here and why are my things outside?" Lilith asked.

"Amity told me everything after coming home from school in tears," Odalia explained.

"W-What do you mean-"

"Don't you fucking lie to me, Lilith!" Odalia yelled. "Nicole's daughter, Boscha, revealed to the whole school how you used my daughter to spy on your sister and her daughter!"

Lilith paled, realizing that Odalia now knew everything. "I-I'm sorry. It's just that Amity wanted another chance to show me that she was Emperor's Coven material and-"

"So you used my vulnerable daughter, who looked up to you, and used her as a means for information?" Odalia questioned, just as appalled as Eda had been. "While also leaving me and Alador, her parents, completely in the dark? Not just about your deal, but also about how she was mugged?!"

Lilith was shocked. "She… told you?"

"She did," Odalia said in disgust. "And she told me that it was because of the oath you made her take that her memory photos ended up getting burned. It's one thing to blackmail me, which I was willing to look past. But it's another thing to hurt my children."

"I only had her best interests in mind," Lilith defended. "I treated her like she was my own, which is apparently better than how you have treated her because of how starved she was for my affection and positive reinforcement, how she was more comfortable with opening up about her muggings to me rather than telling you about-"

And then for the second time that day, Lilith Clawthorne was slapped in the face.

"No," Odalia told her. "I may not be a perfect mother, but I am still her mother. Not you. If you had really cared about her best interests, you wouldn't have made her your spy. Because that wasn't about helping my daughter toward her future or about mentoring her toward becoming a better witch. You didn't do that for her. You did that for yourself. And even then, you could have pulled her out of your deal after you learned about the muggings. Or after her assault at the party. Or after her memories were burned. Or when you realized how emotionally involved Amity was getting with Luz. Or you could have gotten Amity help. Yes, it is my fault that my daughter didn't feel like she could tell me about her mugging in the first place. But you didn't put her in counseling. I did. Because that girl you hurt is my kid. Mine."

Lilith stayed silent, too stunned to respond.

"I can't believe I'm saying this, but right now I have more respect for your sister than I do for you," Odalia continued with a glare. "At least she is honest about her covenless ass while caring enough about my Amity to stop her from doing something stupid like going after her muggers and to help restore her memories after your oath endangered her life."

"Please, at least let me see Amity-" Lilith begged but Odalia stopped her.

"She doesn't want to see you and neither do I," Odalia told her. "You are no longer her mentor and you are not welcome in this house. Now it is my turn to blackmail you, because I no longer feel like I have an obligation to keep your secrets. If I ever see you near my family again, I'll tell your sister, your niece, and all of the Boiling Isles what kind of witch you are. Now get the hell off my property."

Odalia proceeded to shut the door in Lilith's face, leaving Lilith alone once again.

"How… how could I have let this happen?" she asked herself.

"This is a serious matter," Principal Bump said as Boscha, Tyler and Dolly sat before his desk in his office. Julia stood behind him, giving a stern look to Nicole who stood behind Boscha. "I've been lenient toward you in the past, Boscha. But breaking into my office and using the intercom to target other students? Violating the privacy of Amity by using one of her memories while also slandering Luz? Even if Ms. Traveler had not already convinced me to have a stricter anti-bullying policy this semester, your status as grugby captain would still not be enough to cause me to overlook this incident. Is there anything you have to say for yourself, Boscha?"

Boscha crossed her arms. "The truth deserved to come out, as for the photo-" Before she could finish, she was interrupted by Dolly 'crying' while holding her doll.

"I-I-I didn't mean to pass around t-t-t-those hateful fliers," Dolly stammered. "B-Boscha made us do it and she she said that if I didn't comply, she would use me for grugby practice!"

"What!?" Boscha shouted as she stood up "You're the one who gave me that memory photo!"

"It's true, I did. But I was gonna give it back to Amity until Boscha realized that I had it and forced me to hand it over to her," Dolly said, teary-eyed.

Pissed off, something snapped inside Boscha. "Why you little-!" She pounced onto Dolly and began punching her in the face. She was quickly dragged off by her mother while Julia pulled Dolly away from her. "Let me go so I can beat that little lying %^&$!"

"Ms. Hieron, stop!" Bump shouted.

Dolly went to hug Julia. "S-See! She's crazy! She's nothing but a bully!"

"Please sir, don't expel my daughter," Nicole begged while Bump glared at her.

"I don't intend to," Bump said. "She will be suspended from school for a week, then assigned to the Detention Track. She will also be taken off the grugby team and not allowed to be involved in any sports on school grounds."

Boscha's eyes widened. "What? No, you can't do this to me! Grugby means everything to me!"

"Well you should've thought of that before pulling this morning's stunt," Bump told her. "It's either that or expulsion."

"She'll take the former punishment," Nicole decided and Boscha looked at her in shock.

"Fine, but I haven't forgotten your part in what happened this morning either, Mrs. Hieron," Bump told her.

"I hope you have not also forgotten that I am a major donor and that your school needs all the funding that it can get," Nicole shot back. Soon she was taking her daughter home, Boscha looking absolutely devastated by her punishment.

"You… you didn't talk him out of removing me from the team," Boscha said to her.

Nicole shrugged. "It was a necessary sacrifice," she responded. "You got your revenge and ruined those who wronged you in the first place, that's what matters. Don't worry, I am sure that Bump will go back on his decision to punish you soon enough."

Meanwhile, Julia gave Dolly a handkerchief, "Go to the restroom and get yourself cleaned up."

Dolly, with a busted up nose, nodded. "T-Thank you, Ms. Traveler. You are so kind."

"Yes… but you're not fooling anyone with those crocodile tears," Julia told her and Dolly frowned. "You're not fooling anyone here. You're still getting punished, just like Boscha and Tyler."

Dolly turned away and headed for the restroom, while Bump dealt with Tyler who looked absolutely clueless about what was happening.

Eda gasped as she woke up, finding herself on the couch. "W-What happened?" she asked as she noticed that King, Hooty, and Luz were there.

"Mom, are you okay?" Luz asked as she went to hug her, her eyes filled with tears.

"Y-Yeah, I am," Eda replied as she hugged back, before seeing the piles of empty elixir jars around the living room. A sign of how bad that her curse had gotten.

As Luz pulled away from the hug, she noticed how dark her mother's gemstone was. "No, you're not," Luz realized. "We had to give you more elixir than usual to keep you from turning into the Owl Beast. Mom… is the curse worsening?"

Eda sighed, realizing that she couldn't keep this a secret from her daughter any longer. "Luz, listen… I didn't tell you before because I didn't want you to worry."

"Well, I'm worried now!" Luz pointed out. "How long were you going to keep this a secret? When did it get worse?!"

"Near the end of last semester," King revealed.

"You knew her curse was worsening too? Does Hooty know?" Luz asked, pointing at the house demon. "Does everyone but me know?!"

"No, just me and King, well maybe Hooty as well," Eda said while looking at Hooty.

"I have a very short attention span," Hooty said simply.

Eda turned back to Luz. "There is something else. Lilith came by earlier to give us a warning and a head start since Belos' forces are coming for us."

"Wait, us?" Luz asked in confusion.

"He's not just after me, he's after you too," Eda told her, much to the shock of her daughter. "She also told me about… Amity…"

Luz looked down. "I know," she said as she sat down. "I learned it the worst way possible."

"Luz…"

"Boscha not only exposed Amity as Lilith's spy, but she also revealed to everyone in the school what my kind did to witches in the past," Luz explained. "Now the whole school will think that I'm some kind of witch-burning lunatic. As for me and Amity… we broke up."

Eda sighed and patted Luz's back. "Honey, listen. Lilith should not have made a deal like that with her. She is not welcome here and I do not consider her a part of our family. How are you holding up?"

"I'm… it just hurts," Luz admitted. "But with your curse getting worse, we need to get away from Belos. Maybe we can find somewhere else in the Isles to hide for a while."

Eda looked down nervously. "There um… might be a problem with that."

"What do you mean?" Luz asked. "What's the problem in just hiding from the heat? Oh, how about the human world? Dipper and Stan would be happy to take us in."

"Luz, it's not that simple," Eda told her, while a concerned King stayed quiet.

"What's not simple?" Luz asked, holding her mom's hand.

"What I'm saying is that… for your safety… you may have to go to the human world," Eda said to her.

"Well, that's what I just said-"

"But not with me."

Luz started to panic. "W-What? What do you mean you're not going?"

"Luz… I don't have much time left. The curse is growing stronger and the elixirs aren't working anymore. I may turn into the Owl Beast for good and I would no longer be able to take care of you or King," Eda explained. "I would just be a danger to you both. You can go to live with Dipper and Stan, King can come with you since he'll blend right in with the weirdness of Gravity Falls, and Hooty… he'll have to wait for new owners to come by."

"No… nononono, this can't be happening," Luz said while Eda tried to calm her down.

But as Luz pushed Eda away, her hands turned into black claws. Eda fell onto her floor, where she noticed her daughter's claws… and her glowing blue reptilian eyes… and her scales.

"Luz?" Eda asked, shocked by her daughter's appearance.

Luz looked down at her own hands, or claws, in horror. "N-No…" She tried to hide them as Eda stood back up.

"Luz… what… what's happening to you?" Eda asked while Luz stepped back.

"I… I didn't want you to learn about it this way," Luz said as she looked down at her bracelet. It was supposed to suppress this but it didn't. She was breathing rapidly.

"Luz, when did you get claws?" King asked her.

"Luz, is this what you don't want me to know during Grom?" Eda asked.

"I...I…" Luz gulped, then turned around and ran out of the door.

"LUZ!" Eda shouted after her.

But Luz kept running, away from the Owl House and into the woods. Which did not go unnoticed by a white raven perched on top of a nearby tree…

Sheldon Snope woke up in his classroom, finding it empty. He was handed a cup of energy brew by Anu Bist.

"Where's my class?" Snope asked.

"You slept through the whole thing?" Anu Bist asked. He sighed. "Jerbo's on a skiing trip so he's absent… but Amity…"

Amity was in her bedroom, curled up in a fetal position while on her bed. She wiped her now red from crying eyes while looking at the Emperor's Coven poster with Lilith on her wall.

Her expression became angry as she stood up, glaring at the poster. She grabbed it and ripped it off of her wall. She tore it apart and then burned the pieces to ashes, not wanting anything to do with the person on the poster.

"I hate you," she said to the ashes.

Inside a cave at the Knee, the Slitherbeast walked up to someone sleeping and licked them awake. That someone stirred and got up, revealing themselves to be Puck.

The Slitherbeast licked him again and Puck patted the creature gently with a sigh. "Everything's gone wrong."

Dolly Tempus was washing up in the girl's restroom after receiving a bloody nose. After cleaning herself up, she looked at herself in the mirror.

"You did good, Dolly," said a voice that only she could hear and she turned to her doll.

"Thank you, Master," Dolly told the doll. "Amity and Luz may have denied you before, but they will be yours in time… and so will Boscha."

The Inner Demon chuckled. "And then I shall feed."

Luz continued to run deeper into the forest, not even heading into town. She didn't know where she was or where she was going, she just knew that she needed to get far away from everyone and everything.

By the time that she stopped running so she could catch her breath, she realized that she was in a part of the Boiling Isles that was unfamiliar to her. The trees looked odd, she could see a small lake with black water, and there was a slight fog accompanied by a chill surrounding her.

Luz thought she was alone. She wasn't. Something black emerged from the ground behind her before disappearing, but if she had seen it she would have been reminded of Grom. Glowing eyes also started in the fog, which was growing heavier. Said eyes watched her while Luz walked up to the shores of the black lake.

If only Luz had seen the signs earlier, warning her of this place: the Forest of Fear. If she had seen the signs, she might have also recalled the words of the Bat Queen.

The forest leads weary travelers and increases their negative thoughts. The longer they stay there, the more they're consumed by their fears, regrets, and guilt, to the point of giving up their life to the forest… by becoming part of the forest.

If only Luz knew how much danger she was now in…

Uh-oh, spaghettis-o's...

Man, the next couple of chapters will be filled with some angst and action. I got on board with the Lumity angst and this is my result of it. Amity and Luz are outed by Boscha, Lilith has her bridges burned by not just Luz, but with Amity, Lilith, and Odalia. Eda told Luz the truth and Luz ran off after exposing her condition to Eda and King. Now the dominos fell, and things are only going to get worse.

The best part in writing the downfall was deconstructing Lilith's choice and moments with Amity. I know a lot of you have grown to love Lilith's motherly affection to Amity, but let's be honest here. She should've stopped making Amity a spy even after realizing she was mugged, or her assault, and when she got her memories burned. She had the choice to not use Amity much longer but didn't. From the perspective of the characters, Lilith is now being seen in the worst light as possible.

Everything's all about friendship-breakups and relationships strains. Not just with Lilith, Boscha suffers as well as her revenge plan results not just losing her grugby position, but the respect and possible friendship makeup with Skara, along with her other friends. As well as her suspension, Boscha now realizes how heavy her consequences are going to be for her, and we'll soon find out how she feels about it now. Especially as she unknowingly helped the plans of Dolly's master...

And as ultimate-drax has interpret, yes, there are liberties in referencing Disney's Hercules. In fact, there has been some references of Hercules lately, including Amity's love song to Luz from the Grom chapters, and Amity being used as a spy for Lilith(ironically has blue hair like Hades). So yeah, it's not just Tarzan and Phil Collins I've taken some liberties, but Hercules as well.

With our characters now in shambles, we're about to walk in a trail of tears.

Please fav, follow, and review, as the next chapter will have Luz explore...the Forest of Fear.
