Kagome sat beside Yukime placing the washcloth against her forehead. "Looks like you'll have your babes before the first snow." Kagome remarked.
"It's alright girls. Yukime will be just fine." Sango said soothing more Yukimes young daughter who seemed anxious at her mothers distress.
With Sangos daughters, Rins daughters, and Yukimes daughter sitting in a corner of the hut watching the events play out the small space was full.
"Alright, start pushing." Rin said. Kagome watched as the small, diminutive woman strained her body. Gasping and moaning out in pain she gritted her teeth letting out a yell. "First baby is out."
Sango moved to grasp the infant from Rin as soon as it began to wail moving to wash the baby.
"It's a boy." Sango said.
"What's his name?" Kagome asked.
"I don't know yet, I just need to get through this." Yukime groaned out resuming to push. More quickly the second baby was born.
Placing the first baby wrapped securely in Kagomes arms Sango took the second one. "A girl."
"Oh wow." Kagome felt overwhelmed holding such a tiny infant to her. "Yukime he is perfect."
"I still feel as if I have to push." She said.
"Surprise. There is another one." Rin said with a smirk. "How many do you have in there Yukime?"
"Not sure." She managed pushing again and finally sighing in relief as the third child was expelled.
"Well you officially beat me Yukime." Sango said laying her daughter down next to her. Taking the third child away to wash.
"So, this baby is the tie breaker." Kagome stated. "What do you girls think it is, a boy or a girl?"
"Girl!" They all near shouted in unison.
"Sorry to disappoint girls. He's a boy." Sango said glancing at them over her shoulder smiling happily. Placing Yukimes first son down next to her daughter Kagome stood with her cane.
"I'll go tell Inuyasha." She said gently. Yukime gave a nod.
"Thank you."
Exiting the hut Kagome took a breath of crisp air. Walking over to the tree that Inuyasha frequented she glanced up.
"Hey you!"
"Kagome." He said jumping down. "How's Yukime?"
"She's great. Tired but just fine. She's a strong little lady, I just watched her give birth to three kids."
"Three?" Inuyashas eyes went wide as he visibly paled. "Seriously?"
"Yeah, way to overkill." Kagome said patting him on the shoulder.
"Well, what she have?"
"Go in and see for yourself." Kagome said.
"Thanks Kagome." He said gratefully clasping her gently on the shoulders.
"I didn't do anything, the others did all of the work." She replied.
"You've come along way in a short amount of time. I'm just glad you're okay." He stammered out. Knowing that Inuyasha was never one to compliment Kagome smiled at him widely.
"Thanks."
"Lady Kagome, my son is ill. Would you be able to help us?" A woman's voice said from behind her.
"Um, sure yeah. I can…try."
"Lady Kagome." A small child's voice said next to her. Glancing down she smiled at the little girl. "I'm Nani. We used to pick flowers together, I miss that."
"Well Nani, every day I'm getting stronger and by next spring I should be able to pick flowers with you again." Kagome replied. "I have to go help someone. I'll see you later."
Watching as the young child slipped away she followed the woman to her hut. "Sorry, I'm not as spry as I used to be." Kagome joked. "Now I know how poor Kaede felt."
"No rush my lady. Thank you for seeing him." The woman said. "Many of us from the village have wanted to visit with you but have been afraid since Lord Sesshomaru has been by your side so frequently."
"Oh, you don't have to worry about him. He can be intimidating when he wants to be but he's a good person, just guarded." Kagome said wistfully.
After giving her opinion and advice on how to treat the child's coughing fits Kagome asked Rin just to double check to make sure she prescribed the right teas and her advice was accurate.
"How's Yukime?"
"She's in a bit of shock as is Inuyasha." Rin said smiling.
"Can't say I blame them. That's a lot of babies."
"They know that we are here for them if need be." Kimi ran by with Ichirou and Cho. "I'm going to make supper for everyone. Would you like to join us?"
"Next time." Kagome said. "I still don't have a lot of stamina and I get tired easily."
"Do you want me to walk with you?"
"I think I'll manage." Kagome said. "I can't remember the last time I went for a little walk by myself."
"Sure, just scream if you need help and Lord Sesshomaru will be there quicker than you can blink. It always worked for me." Rin said half joking.
"Will do." Walking back towards her home Kagome listened to the sounds around her. "It's so peaceful. I hope it stays like this for a long time."
Coming into the clearing she was greeted by An-Un. "Hey you two. Miss me?" Grasping onto their lead for extra support she leaned into them allowing herself to be led down towards the stream.
It was cool with the leaves having all but fallen off littering the ground but Kagome still enjoyed sitting by the waters edge letting her mind wander.
Sitting against her favorite tree was Sesshomaru with one leg bent up and the other extended out. Kneeling beside him she dropped her cane down watching as the dragons went to the stream to drink.
"I trust things went well?" Sesshomaru asked.
"Oh yes. Yukime is great. She delivered three at the same time. I have no idea how all of those kids fit in her." Kagome expressed. "I helped someone else in the village, some sick kid…it was nice to be able to use my knowledge and help someone out."
"Hm." He acknowledged. Staring at the waterfall Kagome took of the eye covering she wore rubbing at her face slightly.
"Do you know why I chose to live here?" Kagome asked after some silence had passed between them. "It's nice but I don't know why I specifically chose here."
"You told this one that you wanted to be away from the others and felt some distance would do you well." Sesshomaru said. "Before your home was built we would come here while we were courting. This spot is where you taught me how to kiss."
"Oh." Kagome felt her face heat up under her blush. "Well no wonder then, it's special to us."
"Extremely."
"There's something else I want to ask you but I don't want to bring up bad memories." Kagome said edging closer to him.
"Go ahead." Sesshomaru replied turning his head towards her. "Ask."
"Why didn't we have any children?"
"I never gave you any. There were many things we did not know about each other. Our miscommunication led you to believe that there was something wrong with you, when in fact breeding and mating are two different acts. For my kind it is deliberate, where as you informed me that humans don't always plan these things and they still happen." He explained. "When we understood about this about one another I still would not. Using the circumstances we were in as an excuse not too."
"So what was the real reason then?"
"I was terrified of becoming a father." He said.
"I can understand that. It is a scary thought but I feel as if it's something we both wanted."
"Yes."
"Sesshomaru, we have wasted so much time tripping over our own feet, fumbling around one another. If this has taught me anything it's that life is unpredictable, in a moment everything can change. We have to take advantage of the good spells."
"What are you saying?"
"I want to have a baby with you." Kagome said softly and sincerely.
"Kagome, it will be an arduous task for you. It will force me to act upon my more baser instincts." He stated. "Essentially I would keep you sequestered until I am certain you are pregnant."
"So, you're going to shut me up in the house and just have sex with me nonstop?" She asked with a grin. "As long as I can eat, drink, and attend to my cleanliness then, alright."
"I will provide everything for you, whatever you need. Your comfort will be assured and I promise you mate that I will make it as pleasurable for you as possible." He said. "Once I begin to breed you I will not stop until I am satisfied that you are in fact bred. It can take days."
"Okay." Kagome said with a nod. "I understand. What do you need me to do to prepare myself, if anything?"
"You may want to have Rin help you prepare an infusion to drink that will relieve discomfort and pain. When we breed I will form a knot at the base of my arousal. We will be stuck until it releases, it ensures pregnancy. From my understanding it can be very painful for the female." Sesshomaru replied honestly not wanting to hold anything back from her.
Wanting her to be more informed this time around than ever before especially if she were serious about engaging in procreation.
"Alright. I'll talk to Rin and see what she can advise me to do." Kagome said with a smile.
"It would be wise to let the others know that you will not be available for some time, that you will let them know when you can visit again. I will become extremely territorial during this time and see outsiders as a possible threat."
"Well, I won't lie that's a little terrifying but we will just sum it up to your baser instincts." She said raising her brow at him.
"Indeed it is." Sesshomaru said. "Kagome, I do not want you to rush into this. Your body has been through so much as of late and I don't want to push it to its limits."
Placing her hand over his Kagome smiled moving closer to him. "I want this, we have both waited long enough Sesshomaru. I want to have a baby with you now while our friends and family are still here to enjoy it with us. As long as it's something you want to do."
"More than anything."
In total it took the two of them a week to prepare for however long it may take them to conceive. Once done they sat across from one another in the tea room at the table.
Kagome sipped at her tea tasting the ginger settle on her tongue comfortably. Sesshomaru had never looked more relaxed to her in a black yukata that made his pale features stand out even more so than usual.
"I'm thinking about making the study room into a nursery." Kagome said. "Sango and Yukime said they will show me how to make a bassinet out of bamboo."
"We must conceive first mate." Sesshomaru mused smiling gently at her.
"I know, I'm just thinking a few steps ahead is all." Kagome said placing her small saucer down on the table. "Alright, let's get to it. I'm ready."
Standing Sesshomaru assisted her walk into her room. Running his hands down to the tie of her yukata he loosened it and pushed the shoulders of it down.
Kagome shrugged it off letting it fall to the ground. Reaching up she wrapped her arms around his shoulders bringing his face down to hers. Rubbing her nose against his before laying a soft kiss against his lips.
Sesshomaru wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her tight to his own body. Her softness and warmth drew him in as he deepened their kiss. Kagome hummed contently winding her fingers into his hair before moving her hands down his chest to the tie of his own yukata.
Releasing it she ran her hands across his chest and down his abdomen before pressing her flesh to his own. Lying her down on her futon and the blankets of furs that adorned it she used the moko-moko as a pillow enjoying the feel of it wrapping around her slightly.
Near to purring Sesshomaru took off his own clothing and laid down next to Kagome. Running his fingers and claws through her hair he placed his face against her hair breathing her scent in.
Moving further down she placed her arms above her head to give him full access to her which he took in roaming hands, light kisses and long strokes of his tongue.
Her breath began to come heavier and more labored as the heat intensified within her own body. Closing her eyelid she arched her back as his tongue licked down her stomach to reach her hips and pelvis.
Nuzzling at just where her womb lay in her body he kissed at her stomach as his thoughts began to center at the task he wanted to accomplish.
Running her fingers through his soft locks Kagome moved her fingers down to his cheeks to trace his markings.
"Will our child have these?" She asked.
"Maybe." Sesshomaru kissed at the palm of her hand moving to her wrist. "Tell me, what do you wish for me to give you?"
"What do you mean?"
"Do you want a son or a daughter?"
"You can consciously make that decision?"
"No but I am curious." Sesshomaru replied. "We never discussed it."
"A son. I want a son." She stated plainly. "And you?"
"A son." Turning her hand in his she placed it back fo her stomach.
"Then what are you waiting for?" Her smile was mischievous and her gaze lured him in as lust settled on her features.
"Hm." He smirked to himself narrowing his eyes slightly in his predatory way he growled deep and low in his chest. "You will regret those words priestess."
"Oh? Prove it…Lord Sesshomaru." Pulling her up into a sitting position as he knelt he moved behind her. Positioning her to sit on his lap she felt him rub his hardened length along her own sex.
"This one intends too." He whispered into her ear licking around the edge of it before teasing it between his teeth. Kagome gasped as the tip of his own sex made contact with her own striking her bundle of nerves.
Wrapping his arms around her middle he gripped one of her breasts squeezing and teasing the nipple. Kissing and licking along her jaw Kagome reached back for him allowing him to capture her wrists in one of his hands behind his head.
"My mate, my wife, my Kagome." He drawled possessively.
"Yes, my dear heart. We belong together." She replied arching her back and resting her head against his shoulder.
Taking the opportunity to run his mouth down the side of her neck to her shoulder slowly. "This feels sinful, with how amazing it is."
"You are the only one I will ever indulge in with this sin." Kagome moaned out as he thrust himself into her entrance. Bracing her feet against the floor she gasped as he rocked his hips against hers grunting as he did so.
Reaching around her he rubbed at her swollen bud. Clenching and unclenching her hands Kagome lifted her hips up slightly before bringing them back down again meeting his rhythm.
"Kagome…Kagome…" Sesshomaru ground out his breaths coming in pants.
"Yes, yes." She felt her muscles clenching as she was nearly at the precipice of her climax.
"When I tell you to stop moving, stop. I don't want to hurt you." Sesshomaru panted out.
"Ah, okay. Sesshomaru!" She screamed out as the waves of pleasure crashed throughout her body. Moving his hands to her hips he forced himself in hard.
"Don't…move." He growled. Kagome felt him become impossibly rigid and hard as stone. The base seemed to thicken and she felt when he forced himself in her.
"Ah!" She moaned out as she felt him push into her deeper even though he was already filling her to capacity. He throbbed within her as he spilled his seed.
Resting his head against the junction of her neck and shoulder he wound his arms around her. Kagome entwined her fingers with his and leaned against him more.
"Are you alright Kagome?" He asked after they had both come down from their high.
"I'm okay." She whispered still feeling him tight within her. "Are you alright Sesshomaru?"
"Yes." Kissing at her neck he moved his hands back to her breasts. "Ready?"
"Again?" She asked glancing back at him.
"Hm." He responded thrusting in her again.
