[Disclaimer: No characters included are my own creation. All are created by either George Lucas or another person with the rights and responsibilities applicable with the Star Wars franchise.]

[This story takes place in an alternate timeline where none of the following deaths, and some others not mentioned, happened:
Shmi Skywalker-Lars, Count Dooku, etc
This story also takes place when Luke and Leia are fairly young, between 3 and 8.]

[This story's conception is based on both my desire for a happy ending for Anakin and Padmé, and a base concept of the cosplay wedding I'm planning with my fiance.
If I find enough people want to read more, I'll write the rest of the ceremony and flesh the entire ceremony out. I might try writing the reception too, but I don't feel like there would be enough interesting stuff to write for that. Let me know if you feel I missed anyone important that Anakin and/or Padme would have definitely included in their wedding party and I'd love to hear ideas for who could be their officiant. I'm leaning towards either Qui-Gon or Yoda.]

The Naberries, the Skywalker-Larses, Jedi, Senators, and many more guests are seated with a gorgeous view of the lake country that Padmé loves so much.

The first to walk down the aisle is Anakin's step-brother, Owen Lars. In another life, he was entrusted with Anakin's talented son, but today he walks in honour of his step-mother's miracle son instead.

Ahsoka Tano, former Padawan, follows the Tatooinian farmboy. Her girlish features betray her excitement to be a part of this special day for her former Jedi Master.

The final member of the groom's party smiles wryly as he takes his journey down the aisle. Obi-Wan Kenobi beams with pride as he approaches the end of the aisle, but a twinge of sadness taints his expression. He wishes that he could have had this day with his own love and this wish furrows his brow before the reckless but powerful groom makes his appearance.

Dressed in his favoured dark-brown-and-black Jedi robes, Anakin Skywalker walks down the aisle, hand-in-hand with his tiny daughter Leia, to follow his former Jedi Master and best friend. Dark and commanding music accompanies the Chosen One and his princess through their trek. Little Leia Skywalker sits with her maternal grandparents, Ruwee and Jobal Naberrie in the front row, near the current and former Queens of Naboo: Apailana and Jamillia. Anakin steps into place beside Obi-Wan as the music softens and Sola enters.

Padmé's older sister, Sola Naberrie, strides down the aisle with the biggest all-knowing smirk on her face. She shares a wink with her husband, Darred Janren Naberrie, and grins at her two daughters: Pooja and Ryoo Naberrie.

Sola is followed by Sabé. A woman touted as the closest twin for Padmé while she was Queen, Sabé happily walks as her own person helping to pave the way for Padmé instead of pretending to be her.

The final member of the bridal party is none other than Dormé, the Senatorial handmaiden and one of Padmé's closest friends. Captain Gregar Typho watches her with a smile and she leads the way for the diplomatic yet mischievious bride.

The music begins to crescendo towards a beautiful climax as young Luke Skywalker steps into view, his tiny hand wrapped around his mother's fingers. Donned in a long and ethereal gown decorated with a cascading procession of colour, Padmé Naberrie saunters elegantly down the aisle. Before she finds her place by her groom, Luke settles on his paternal grandmother's lap and Shmi Skywalker-Lars shares a warm smile with her son's new bride.
