Rose was eating breakfast that Scorpius made for them. She took a bit of egg. "I think I want to write my grandmother's story."

"I think that's a good idea," Scorpius looked up from his coffee. Rose hated that he could have coffee while she couldn't.

Rose pointed her fork at Scorpius. "How do you think Mum would take it if I told her that Grandmother Jean is a witch?"

Scorpius narrowed his eyes at her. "I think that you should not tell your mum because it is your grandmother secret to tell. What would you call your book?" Scorpius changed the subject.

"A Witch in the Muggle World." Rose saw what her husband was doing. "I think I will have to get together with my grandmother to do the story." Scorpius nodded. "A story about a mingle of muggle history and wizarding history. It will be great."

"I can smell best seller now," Scorpius smiled. He glanced at his pocket watch. "Come on. We have to get to your parents for our first driving lesson."

Rose moaned. She ate the last few bites before taking her plate to the sink. Scorpius followed her.

"Now take it easy," Hermione said to her daughter as she got behind the wheel. Rose took a breath as she put the car in gear. Rose drove down the street and didn't turn out too bad.

After a second turn around the block, Rose pulled up in front of parents' house. Hermione smiled at her daughter. "You did great. Now let's see how your husband does." Rose laughed as she got out of the car. Scorpius was waiting in the yard with Ron. Ron was telling Scorpius that had him smiling.

"Your turn," Rose pointed to the car. Rose grabbed her dad's arm and led him in the house. "I need a drink and to sit down." Rose didn't want to see how Scorpius was doing. For some reason she wanted to see who would get the license first.

Rose talked to her father about what was going on in his life and she told him about being pregnant and he didn't really like hearing about how she is peeing all the time. He had to put a hand up to stop her. "I can't wait to be a grandfather, but I don't need know every detail." Rose laughed as Hermione and Scorpius walked in the room.

Hermione took the glass of water from her husband as she sat next to him. "Rose, I wanted to ask about Boxing Day," Rose and Scorpius traded a glance as he took a seat next to her. "What did Grandmother Jean want to talk to you about?"

Rose took a breath. "She wanted to ask about the wedding and how we are taking being married. She also congratulated us on the baby."

Hermione had a look of suspicion in her eyes. Rose was hoping that her mum would except her answer. "Okay, I just thought…" Hermione didn't finish. Rose wanted to tell her mother that she was right about believing Grandmother Jean is a witch, but it wasn't her secret to tell.

"I was thinking about getting to know her more. Do you know where she is staying?" Rose asked.

"Of course," Hermione summon her address book. She made a copy of Grandmother Jean's address and handed it to Rose. "I'm glad you are taking an interest in your grandmother."

"I need something to do with my time," Rose put the address in her pocket.

They spent lunch with her parents before returning home. She started to write a letter to grandmother when an owl flew in the house. Rose saw it make its way to Scorpius. Scorpius took the letter that it was taking before giving it an owl treat. The owl flew off.

Rose stopped what she was doing and made her way to her husband. He opened the letter and read it out loud.

"Scorpius,

Your grandfather is in the hospital and isn't doing so well. They don't know when if he is going to make it through the night.

Dad.

Scorpius threw it on the table and went back to the book he was reading. Rose picked up the letter and read to make sure what Scorpius read was true. She looked from the letter to her husband and saw how calmly he was just sitting there, reading his book. She noticed that he hadn't turned a page yet. "Rose I know you want to say something, so just say something." Scorpius closed his book.

"How can you sit here, not go to the hospital and be with your family right now?" She asked.

"My grandfather is a bastard. If he dies it will be a good thing in the world." Scorpius said. "The last time we spoke he told me you were good for something after we told the family that we were having a boy. He called our son an heir to take over the company when it is his time. I know we would never force that on our son if he had a different dream."

"I know he is a bastard but think of your grandmother and your dad. They need you," Rose took his hand. She felt how cold it was. She had a feeling that Scorpius needed to say goodbye to his grandfather too. "I know your grandmother isn't a big fan of me, but she seems to really love you and your family. I know that she is going to love our son. She was married to your grandfather for many years, she has history with your grandfather. And what about your dad?"

"He will have my mum there," Scorpius mumbled.

Rose took a sigh. She was getting no where with him. "Scorpius, I think it will be good for you. You are going to need to be there, to say goodbye."

Scorpius sighed. He knew that Rose was right. He looked into his wife's beautiful blue eyes. "Will you come with?" He asked.

Rose smiled. "Of course," Scorpius helped her off the couch and to the fireplace.

They found his family in the waiting room outside Lucius' door. Scorpius let go of Rose's hand and hugged his grandmother. She was right, his grandmother needed him here. She couldn't hear what was being said between them. Astoria came up to her. "Thank you for getting him here." Rose gave her mother-in-law a look. Astoria smiled. "Only you could get him here. I know Narcissa needed him here. And Draco could use him here too."

Rose saw Scorpius break from his grandmother and hug his father. Draco said something to Scorpius before going into a room. Rose watched Narcissa take a seat. Rose and Astoria made their way to over to her. They took seats next to her and each took a hand. Rose thought that she might pull away from her, but she didn't. They didn't say anything, just say there.

In the hospital room, Scorpius and Draco made their way to the bed. Scorpius looked at his grandfather, he looked older than his seventy-one years. His eyes were opened, and he looked at his son and grandson. Draco had told Scorpius that Lucius wanted to speak to them. Lucius smiled at them.

"I am so proud of both of you. Draco you came back from the ashes and made something to pass on to your son. Scorpius I'm sorry that I can't meet the newest member of the Malfoy family," Scorpius had to bite his tongue because he wanted to make a comment. "We should have fought harder for Scorpius to a marry a pure-blood girl," Lucius turned to Draco. "The nice thing about Scorpius marrying a Weasley is it will up our standing in the wizarding world." Scorpius thought that blood would soon come out of his mouth if he bit on his tongue harder. "Honor to the Malfoy family." Lucius closer his eyes.

Scorpius thought that he was sleeping when he didn't see his chest rise and fall. Scorpius looked at his father and saw a tear fall down his cheek. Scorpius looked at his grandfather and saw that he was gone. There was so much he wanted to say to his grandfather, and he will never get the change to say it.

"Grandfather, you are a bastard," Now was good at any time.

"Scorpius," He heard his father next to him.

"You might be proud, but I can't say the same about you. I didn't care that you didn't approve of my marriage with Rose, but I would marry her even if wasn't a contract. Rose is the right wife for me because she loves me, not anything to do with my blood. We are not having an heir, but a son, who might dream differently, and we will support him in everything he does. The man I am proud of is standing next to me and I hope to be proud of the man my son becomes, the man who my son becomes will have the love and support from two loving parents and a lot of loving from both sides of the family. Dad and I have changed the meaning of what it means to be a Malfoy." Scorpius turned on his heal and left the room.

Draco followed him out of the room and looked at his mother. "He is gone."

Scorpius fixed his tie in the mirror in their room. As he looked in the mirror, he saw the black dress robes, he was in. Everything was black except his shirt which was white. He didn't feel right in these clothes. Its not that he hasn't worn dress robes, but there was some color in them. He felt too much like a pure-blood son doing right by his grandfather. He wanted to ripe these clothes off, put on jeans and jumper, grab Rose, and run away for the day.

He felt a pair of hands on his back. He looked in the mirror and saw Rose standing behind him in a black dress that showcase her growing belly. Scorpius turned around and placed his hands around his waist. He just held on to her.

"Can we just run away for the day?" Scorpius asked.

Rose smiled. "No, you are needed there," Rose pulled out of his arms. "I didn't just put this dress on just to be taken out of it. As of right now, you are going to have to take me out of it."

Scorpius reached out for her hand, but he didn't get it. "I could help you now."

Rose shook her head but smiled. "Come and feel your son. It will make you feel better," Scorpius placed a hand on her belly and felt his son move. It had a calming effect on him. He didn't know how Rose knew what he needed in the right moment. She knew that feeling his son was what he needed to remind why he was going to funeral of his grandfather.

Rose grabbed his hand. "It is time to go," She said in a soft voice. She pulled him out of their room, their house, and led the way to the family cemetery.

They saw his parents starting to greet the first guests. Scorpius looked around for his grandmother and saw her in the front row with Adriene. They were sitting in front of a black coffin. Scorpius took a breath before going to his parents. He hugged them both before taking a spot next to them. Rose took a spot next to him.

They stood there greeting Scorpius' grandfather's friends, who were sorry that he was gone. Scorpius had to take a breath as each one of them wouldn't touch Rose. They only shook their heads because they thought that it was a disgrace that Malfoy had to marry beneath them. Rose would only grab his hand and give it a squeeze. His aunt Daphne, Uncle Blaise, Hector, and his Greengrass grandparent showed up and he was glad that someone was here that he liked for this.

"How are you doing?" Scorpius looked up into the eyes of his cousin, Teddy. Scorpius smiled at him. He saw that he had escorted his grandmother here. Vic was standing on the other side of his grandmother.

"I don't know," Scorpius said truthfully. "I know my grandmother and my dad are hurting," Scorpius looked at his dad and grandmother. "But a part of me is glad that he is gone, so Rose and I don't get words of wisdom from him." Scorpius smiled at his great aunt. "I think that it is good that you are here, Aunt Andromeda."

His aunt smiled and glanced over to her sister. "Teddy, take me to my sister," Teddy smiled at Scorpius and Rose, who was talking to Vic. Scorpius watched his aunt and cousin make their way to his grandmother and sister. He saw his grandmother throw her arms around her sister and cry on her shoulders. Scorpius smiled before turning back to the next guest.

Scorpius smiled when he saw that it was his in-laws there. Hermione grabbed him in a hug. "I didn't care for the man, but Ron and I are here in support of you and your parents," She whispered in his ear.

Hermione let him go and place a smile on her face, that Scorpius thought that would work well when she became Minister. She glanced at his parents, before hugging her daughter. Scorpius shook his father-in-law's hand and they spoke a few words. Scorpius watched as his in-laws went in and everyone gave them looks, but they didn't care. Hermione walked right up to his grandmother and aunt and spoke to them.

The next guests he didn't think that they would show up, but in front of him stood Arthur and Molly Weasley. Scorpius knew how much Arthur Weasley and his grandfather didn't like each other. Molly took him in a hug. Scorpius took in her hug, and it felt good.

"Grandmum, Granddad," Rose smiled at her grandparents. "What are you doing here?"

Molly smiled at Scorpius. "We are here in support of our grandson and granddaughter," Scorpius felt so love from them. Scorpius watched they made their way to the other Weasley that were here.

"Come on, Scorpius, Rose," Astoria said. "It is time."

The four of them made their way to the front of the aisle to the four chairs that were left for them. Scorpius looked at the crowd and saw that most of the people there were pure-blood families. In one corner, were Rose family. Scorpius saw his aunt holding her sister's hand in the front row. He was glad that his grandmother had someone there for her. Scorpius helped Rose take her seat before taking his.

"Good afternoon," a small wizard, who was doing the service came up by the coffin. "We are gathered here in a time of sorrow," The man started to talk about what a great wizard Lucius Malfoy was. Scorpius wanted to get up and shout to everyone that he was wrong. He felt Rose place a hand on his knee. He took her hand and looked at the small wizard.

It took about an hour after people wanted to say a word about him. Scorpius realized that in some people's eyes his grandfather was a great man. His dad and his grandmother wanted him to say a few words, but he didn't have good words to speak about his grandfather. His dad got up there to say a few words.

Scorpius glad when they lowered the casket in the ground and put dirt over it. He stood with his family and followed them out of the cemetery to the Manor where they were going to have food for everyone.

Scorpius stood by a wall with a drink in his hand as he watched the crowd eating his family food and drinking his parents' best alcohol. He wanted this all to over, so he could continue with his life. He looked around the room to see where his wife and saw that she talking to someone who knew his grandfather from somewhere. Scorpius let out a little laugh, because his grandfather would be happy in how much of Malfoy wife, Rose was right now.

"Are you okay?" Adriene asked. Scorpius glanced at his sister to see her face had a confused look.

"Yeah, I was thinking how wonderful my wife is," Scorpius took a drink. Adriene looked to where Rose was.

"She is amazing," Adriene said. "I think you should help her," Scorpius gave his sister a look. "You know I am right." Adriene walked away from him.

Scorpius took a sigh, pushed off the wall, and made his way over to his wife. She smiled when he saw her. She laced her arm through his. "Scorpius this is Mr. Goyle, he knew your grandfather during the war," In other words he was a Death Eater like his grandfather. His son was a best friend of his dad's when his dad was in school.

"Mr. Goyle," Scorpius shook the hand that Mr. Goyle held out.

"I'm sorry about your grandfather," Mr. Goyle said. "He was a good friend, but he was wrong about somethings," He glanced at Rose when he said this. Scorpius saw that he regretted somethings in his life. He bowed his head before leaving them.

"What was that about?" Scorpius asked Rose.

"I don't know. He was the one who seek me out. He said he was glad that you married me and hoped that I was happy," Rose and Scorpius watched as Mr. Goyle walked out of the ballroom.

They spent the rest of the time making their way around the room before people started to leave. Arthur, Molly, Ron, and Hermione were some of the first leave. Scorpius saw that his aunt, uncle, and grandparents leave. He wondered what happened to Hector because he didn't see him anywhere. Scorpius was glad when the last guest left, he let out a breath before saying goodbye to his grandmother and parents. Rose and he made their way, where they got out those clothes and just relax in bed the rest of the day.
