Elven

Gazing at his reflection in the shiny mirror. Crimson eyes that are identical to rubies. Pale skin as if death touched his soul. He looks rather young too, no older than 12 years old. Golden blonde hair that has been dipped inside the sun for decades upon decades, spilling past his shoulder down to his lower back.

Naruto Uzumaki was his name.

Another day. He muses to himself while his tongue licks his dry lips.

Brushing a strand of hair that was nearing his eyes.

Placing his two hands inside of his pockets, looking to the other side of the room.

I've been in here long enough, no point in ogling myself any longer.

Right after that he swiftly walks his way towards the door, a soft kick lands in the middle of the door, opening it up.

As soon as he leaves the bathroom his eyes catch someone, someone in his living room specifically.

Not long after his crimson orbs land on the figure, it speaks up.

''It took you long enough, I almost thought you weren't going to come out.''

It's a girl, one who is a few years older than himself, with silver hair that is as long as his own, ocean blue eyes that could pierce through your very soul, and a smug smile that reeks of superiority which normally irritates her foes

''I didn't even know you were here in the first place, you could have knocked at the very least, Lilith.''

His hands leave his pockets, specs of lightning start tickling his palms, just in case she plans to do something, he wouldn't put it past her to try and blast him, even if this was his own home.

''Would you have answered?'' Lilith questions.

He doesn't answer because they both know the answer to that question.

''Exactly.'' The snow haired girl comments with a tone of voice that matches the egocentric smirk painted onto her lips.

''Get to the point already, why did you barge in?''

The She-Devil doesn't normally speak to him unless she wants something, like a fight.

''She wants to have a word.''

Naruto doesn't need to ask who she is, the answer is clear.

''Oh? Don't tell me you're the messenger now.'' He insults the older girl in a dry voice.

Lilith's fingers start to twitch violently, her previous eyes that didn't show a drop of emotion before... now are rained in annoyance.

''I might just tell her that you had a little accident.''

The threat was obvious, but his face remains as impassive as ever, not even a slight twitch.

''What does she want?'' He asks, deciding not to bug the teen girl anymore, he wants his house to stay in one piece, and a fight would just make it collapse.

''Who knows, she only asked me to get you.''

Lilith blinks away the annoyance that was dusted inside of her eyes.

''Fine, if that's all please make your way out.''

The sooner she leaves the better.

''You don't have to tell me twice, pretty boy.'' She huffs out.

His teeth clenched tightly, particles that are just as red as his eyes flicker around his body, but just as quickly as it came it left.

''Don't call me that.'' He murmurs, but Lilith doesn't hear it, she disappeared in a flash just moments prior.

Pretty Boy? What a disgusting name that is.

Even if it is disgusting, Lilith will forever call him that, no matter if he beats her half to death she'll still keep calling him that, nothing short of killing her would stop that.

A tired sigh comes out of his mouth, eyes flickering to the clock sitting on the other side of the room.

6 AM? Who knew it was this early.

His sense of time has been rather skewed for many years now, although it's not as bad as it used to be, thankfully.

But what could she want?

If she wants something then she'd normally just barge into his house, just like Lilith did.

After dwelling on this he's come to two conclusions. She either wants to train, which is probable, but if so why didn't she just call him?

The second conclusion is far worse than the other one.

Brushing a hand through his locks of hair, shaking his head, knowing that dwelling on this any longer would just give him a headache.

The street that he's treading through is almost empty, the only things that could be seen as himself and the rain that was assaulting his clothes, the only reason why his body wasn't getting drenched was because of the hoodie that he was wearing.

''Is it nerves that I'm feeling?'' A deep and inhuman voice mocks Naruto.

''Shut up Kyuubi, I'm in no mood to argue with you today.'' He huffs.

If someone heard what he said they might think he has a few screws loose, but considering nobody is around doesn't matter.

The newly revealed Kyuubi shares a demonic laugh, something that the furry beast shouldn't do, laughing, that is, it sounds incredibly unnatural.

''No need to get your panties in a bunch, I'm just pointing out the obvious.''

Kyuubi is truly a pain, a pain that could see through his thoughts and feel his emotions freely as he could breathe.

He remains quiet, and he stays that way, blocking out the foxes' voice, if he does that then it should go away, probably.

Not long after he starts to ignore the beast he arrives at his destination.

A house that is painted darker than the night, a house is underestimating it, it's more like a massive mansion, which is rather odd because the rest of the houses in the neighbourhood are rather average in size, but at least then it would almost be impossible to miss.

Pushing his hand down on the handle, knowing that there's no reason to knock, considering she's expecting him.

The door wasn't locked, just as expected, making his way through the mansion, the door slams shut behind him, scaring the crows off that were perched upon the windowsill.

Gazing around, it seems as clean as ever, quite the opposite from his apartment.

Travelling up the stairs, she's probably in her office like she normally is, he thinks.

Each step he takes the more the staircase creaks, such a thing isn't surprising, this place was made a long time ago, it wouldn't be surprising if a pair of ghosts were haunting this place.

When he steps on the final stair of this seemingly endless staircase his ruby eyes land on a massive door, the size of it wasn't the only reason why it stood out, it was paler than his pure white complexion, contrasting the otherwise gloomy house, yet it doesn't look bad, it never has in Naruto's opinion.

The white slab of wood suddenly opened on its own magically as he was nearing it.

Entering into the room, it's painted black, just like any other room of this ghostly house.

Sitting on a chair is a woman, one who seems to be in her early twenties, hair that is darker than the walls around them, her ears are slightly odd, they are pointed making them look inhuman but it's hidden by her lengthy hair, and her eyes, that are also black, they don't even show a drop of emotion in them, they are so dead in fact that it makes the woman look like a doll.

Her long fingers tap on the desk she's sitting by, and when he treads into the office her empty eyes lock onto his.

''Naruto, you took your time.'' Her voice is somehow even more of a void than those creepy slitted eyes of hers.

''We don't live near each other.'' He shrugs.

Although he could have gotten here faster, he was just going at walking speed, he wasn't lying per se.

''And whose fault is that?''

His eyes dance around the room, knowing what she's getting at, and he knows it to be true.

''So why did you call me here?'' His eyes drag back to the black-haired beauty's frame.

''I have a job for you.''

A job? Perhaps he was worrying for nought.

''And what does this job entail?'' He inquired as his arms crossed.

''Let's just say someone has piqued my interest.'' She reveals.

''Don't tell me you're sending me to recruit someone.''

He's never done anything like that in his life, the jobs he normally takes on are usually violent, like assassinations for example.

His people's skills aren't the best, and that's putting it lightly, and he'd like to keep it that way.

''I am, don't tell me you have a problem with that?'' It was worded like a question but he knows that he has no choice in the matter.

''I didn't say that.''

Her fingers stopped moving, he thought he saw a smile, but that can't be right.

''Good.''

He slams his back into the rigid wall, his attention fully locked onto what is going to come out of her lips next.

''Have you heard of the name Eralith?''

Eralith? Don't tell me she wants me to recruit one of them?

''You don't mean those stuck up Elf Royals do you?'' He asks.

''So you do know of them.''

The elves have always had an air of superiority around them, for their looks, their power too, even if it wasn't warranted, there were many races that either equalled their looks or surpassed it all together, same for their power, it's surprising that they haven't been wiped out entirely by pissing off the wrong entity.

Or so he's heard, he'd only met a single elf so far, and it wasn't a fun experience, he was extremely vain, even if the elf had no reason to be.

So it was safe to say that he wasn't a fan of Elf's, and the Royals were probably far worse, being sheltered and all that

''Unfortunately,'' Naruto utters.

''Good, it seems like I won't have to explain who they are.''

''So, who do you want me to convince?''

And convincing is what it was, joining this organisation that he was a part of wasn't something a normal person would even dream of entering, and if his assumptions were correct he would be recruiting someone from the Royal family.

What a clusterfuck.

''A certain Princess.''

Bullseye.

''And what princess in particular?''

The Elf King is well known to be a rather perverted man with a dozen or two wives, so he does have a bunch of daughters, even someone who has never even set foot into the Elf Kingdom knows that, it was knowledge that almost everybody knew.

But why does she want him to recruit an Elf? A princess at that, it's not like he's good at negotiations, it was quite the opposite.

And it's unlikely that this unknown princess would even join a criminal organisation like this one.

An elf Princess holds decent prestige, and it's not like Elf's are too strong, they are mediocre in the grand scheme of things.

Perhaps it was the prestige? Unlikely, if that was the case then she'd just conquer the Elf Kingdom, it wouldn't take too long either, a day at most.

''The Heiress to the throne, Tessia Eralith.''

He can't say that he recognises the name, but the future Queen of Elenoir?

The Royalty hierarchy in Elenoir was different from many other races thanks to the Elven's kings infamous perversion

The Princes and Princess who have lower statuses weren't destined to become the future ruler because of their mothers.

Alduin's 'wives' had much variety, some weren't even Elven, some used to be peasants, some were Nobles. The higher and higher their status was the higher chance they had of their offspring becoming the sovereign of Elenoir.

''And how am suppose to do that? I'm pretty sure that the Kingdom is heavily guarded, even if I do gain entrance fighting a Kingdom full of Elf's would be… problematic.''

Elf's have never been a fan of the other races, so there's almost no chance they'd let him in, and it's not likely the princess would accept his offer.

''That won't be an issue.''

His lips remained zipped, waiting for the dark-eyed entity to continue.

''She's a runaway.'

A runaway princess? Do they exist? I always thought they only existed in fairy tales.

Although to be fair most Fairy Tails were based on things that happened.

''So, do you know where this princess is?''

''I do.'' She admits.

He's not even going to ask where she was able to find her location, presumably even before the elves.

''If you would?'' He questions.

''She's currently in a cave.''

''Can you be a bit more specific?'' There are innumerable caves in the world.

''There's no need, I'll just teleport you there.''

''Alright.''

It'll be easier if he gets teleported to his destination, it'll take less time.

''Wait.'' He pauses for a second before a realization hits him like a train.

''How am I supposed to be-'' Before he could finish his sentence the woman snaps her fingers, a black circle appears under his feet and in an instant he disappears, almost as if he wasn't even there in the first place.

She tilts her hand into her hand, a smile, not a normal smile but a smile nonetheless, a fake one, even a child could see that, which is quite odd considering not a single soul was in the room.

The smile that dripped onto her lips falls, settling back into its original straight line.

''Good luck… Naruto.''

That was the last thing that came out of her mouth for a long while.

Shit.

It doesn't take more than a second or two for him to arrive, gazing around his surroundings, it's rather bright, not what he was expecting from a cave.

And he knew it was a cave with absolute certainty, with the abundance of razor-edged rocks that could skewer a human's body in two, extending down towards the very bottom of the pit, just as his heart dropped down into his stomach as he almost fell off the ledge, even if it wouldn't kill him it would still hurt a lot.

He backed off quickly with a jump, his feet twirling around to the right while a few pieces of rock wrench down to the icy water.

In the corner of his blood-red eyes, he notices something is launching itself at him, the shadow seems to be getting larger and larger by the second.

His head twists around, he could see what it was now, a black bear, a massive one that could even tower over regular bears.

Before the bear could try and slice him apart he flings his body to the side with a strong jump.

Lightning starts to fizzle around his two hands, around his pale palms.

He has always been able to shape lightning to his will, it was almost as if some Almighty had gifted him with it, it was no magic, nor was it a Sacred Gear.

Another odd thing about himself.

Directing both of his hands towards the bear, before the bear could even register what happened, two lightning blasts pierced through its chest in quick succession.

Treading towards the bear, putting his right boot on it, making sure that the beast is dead.

Clicking his fingers together, and like a light switch, his lightning is turned off.

Now that is done his mind goes to where the little Elf could be, even if he doesn't know what his target looks like, Elf's are rather easy to spot with their unique ears and silvery hair.

Still, this cave seems massive, his glassy eyes twist and twirl around the rocky sector like a cataclysmic fire whirl.

Luckily for him however he won't have to do much searching.

''Get your grubby hands off me you beast!''

An ear-splitting scream pierces his eardrums and grabs his attention inside of his belly with a plunger, pushing it up to the surface.

''Be a good girly and stay still.'' A voice that feels slimy, even he could tell that all away up there.

''I'll stay still as soon as you drop dead!''

Mhm, she sounds pretty angry.

Looking down at the rocky hill, and right at the bottom a girl suddenly appears.

His eyes narrow dangerously at her features, silver hair that possesses a glowing glint in it, skin as white as his own, she was rather young, maybe a year or two older than himself.

Her eyes are green so bright that they could brighten up the darkest of nights.

Lucky me.

But just as soon as the Elf, who he assumes is his target, Tessia Eralith, another shadowy figure appears just before his eyes catching a patch of green skin, a darker shade than the girl's eyes.

An Orc?

Then another Orc appears, then another, and it turns into a mini pack, 5 or 6 by his guess.

And in their fat little hands they are all wielding axes, and the smile they were wearing… was odd, to say the least.

The silver-haired Elf is running up the stumpy rocks, she doesn't yet catch sight of him, probably because he's too high up, and she's not paying too much attention to anything other than trying to survive.

Those green-skinned beasts were right behind her, with those smirks that could be the textbook definition of retardation and nobody would think twice about it.

Twirling their axes above their heads, and in conjunction with those smiles drawn onto their pasty lips, it makes them look extra retarded, a young toddler at best.

Should he stop them?

Elves and Orcs have been known to be bitter rivals for God knows how long. The orcs with their impressive strength and their ugly gut-churning looks.

The Elfs were directly opposing them in every conceivable way, with their strength that is only on the level of a regular human, even with their lack of physical power they made up for it with their advanced magical capabilities.

Whereas the Orcs weren't nice to look at, the Elfs contrast this with their physically attractive appearances.

He's even heard that the Elf's that weren't physically up to par were murdered, although that's mainly just a rumour with little to no credence.

He doesn't move quite yet, his eyes watching them as a hawk does to its prey. The Elven Princesses legs start moving faster, somehow, perhaps it was out of a will to live because it was obvious what the orcs wanted, a fast death would've been the most welcomed option.

Finally, her eyes catch a glimpse of his own, they show a mix of confusion and worry, a usual blend.

Not a single word comes out of her mouth. Her lips remain in a firm line, strange considering a girlish scream came out of them less than a minute prior.

Tilting his head to the side, and with it, his hair flops in the same direction, he could see each Orc much more now because they are walkin- no running in a single file.

When his head returns into its original position he pulls his hands up, forming it into a gun sign.

Sparks of lightning begin generating around his two open fingers

''Lightning Slug.''

His voice was calmer than a steady ocean. The sparks of lightning form into something that looks like a bullet, but it certainly wasn't a bullet… proven by the colouring, the same shade of red as his eyes.

It shoots at speeds nearing the speed of light, The Green-eyed Elf gawks at the incoming attack, her jaw hanging down so low that he wouldn't be surprised if it fell off.

Squish!

The lightning sweeps past her shoulders, racing into the Orc's skull that was the nearest to him.

His left hand closes, and just like that his bullet of lightning exploded like a time bomb, making the green-skinned humanoid head nothing more than a stump.

The remaining orcs' movements pause, the corpse of their comrade in view, those smiles leave their faces, they start baring teeth like the animals that they are.

''You!'' They all shout at the same time, forming some sort of rhythm that is music to his ears.

The princess that they are chasing doesn't seem to notice. The adrenaline imprinted inside of her blood is making sure of that.

1 down, 4 to go.

He starts to skip down the rocky pathway, his golden locks of hair jiggling around.

The chase resumes once again, thankfully for the princess; however she's quite a bit ahead now, the orcs did stay in the same place for a substantial period of time.

His slow and childish skipping eventually transforms into a full-blown dash, injecting particles of lightning under his shoes moments before springing down.

Swishing past Tessia before the wind has the chance to, winding his arm back when he closes in on the group of creatures.

Smashing his arm forwards like a baseball bat, his adversary dodges it with a slip to the head even if it was barely.

''I've got you now!'' An orc behind him reveals its location like an idiot. It was calmer than expected, still… Tints of anger could be heard that won't last long, not at all.

Before the axe could slice him in two he flips, throwing his body backwards like an expert gymnast.

Lightning flickers around his arms, increasing its physical capabilities by an impressive amount. His lithe body lands on the Orcs thick back.

His two hands grasp on each side of his head, placing an inhuman amount of pressure onto his neck, snapping it in the process.

Both of his arms twitch at the stinging pain trickling along his arms, but he ignores these sensations.

Deactivating the lightning from his arms, there's only three left and he wants to keep one or two alive.

''It was you!'' One of the three remaining Orcs yells a fountain full of anger is dipped inside of its voice.

Glancing below him at the dead body, his shoulders shrug carelessly.

''Hm? You mean your orc buddy? That was me all right.'' He admits without an ounce of remorse.

They got in his way so they asked for it, it was their fault, he had a job to do and if he had to kill a few of these slimy deviants then so be it.

''You white skin! We will kill you!'' Another Orc roars in absolute furry.

Good luck with that.

Vanishing with the wind itself, reappearing behind one of the abominations like a phantom, stomping down on its right heel.

''Wha-''

Not letting it say another word, while his boot lingers above its heel he places his right hand on the Orcs ponytail, and with every muscle in his arm, he pulls and pulls, until its head is ripped off and he doesn't let it go.

Green goo spurts out of it like a water fountain

Only two left now. Still, he wants to keep the two of them alive until they outlive their usefulness.

His eyes bolt upwards, landing on the figure he was meant to find, then they go down at the severed head that he is clutching a hold-off

Not paying attention to the roars that somehow increase in voice and fury, he zooms around them in a flash.

''And apparently, I'm the cruel one.'' The Kyuubi comments with a heavy dose of sarcasm.

What are you implying?

He doesn't really like what the Kyuubi is hinting at, he isn't cruel he just did what was necessary.

''You know, playing with those creatures like food, and that little skull you're preciously holding onto.''

Playing with them like food? Isn't that all you did when you were free?

The attack of Konoha was a prime example of The Nine Tails' great thirst for blood.

Konoha is a place he hasn't dwelled upon for a long time and he doesn't plan to think about it any longer.

''Touché.''

Naruto wonders if the Kyuubi has turned into a mute, but that idea explodes with the power of an Atomic Bomb.

''But unlike you, I can admit that I do it for the fun of it, there's truly nothing better than hearing you humans squeal like the pigs you are, begging for mercy, nothing could ever bring me more joy than that.''

I almost forgot who I was speaking to for a second.

The Kyuubi mind only occupies one thing, and that is to destroy anything and everything that dares to exist.

''But at least one of my goals was accomplished while I was away, even if it wasn't I-who directly achieved it.''

You mean what happened seven years ago?

''Of course, what else would I be talking about?''

That's why I asked, idiot.

He only receives an animalistic growl in return.

When their little conversation ends he swooshes to the right of Eralith.

Tapping a finger on her shoulder to grab her attention, the goosebumps on her could be seen from a mile away, as she freezes up before continuing sprinting ahead, her eyes spinning around slowly.

''Huh?'' She utters, her voice stinging with confusion.

''Are you Tessia Eralith?''

Even if he was almost certain that she was the person he was looking for because of her elven features, you can never be too sure.

Her eyebrows knit together, and they narrow dangerously, all of the confusion that she was holding evaporates into the air.

''How did you come by that name?'' Her voice isn't hiding her suspicion, which was evident by the sharpness of her voice and eyes that could slice through bones as if they were made from butter.

What way should he put this? His superior who is the leader of a criminal organisation wants her to join, her a princess.

Maybe I shouldn't put it like that.

Why does he have to be the one who does this? He knows that his charisma is at the bottom of the barrow. Maybe it was a test? This certainly wasn't the first time she's given him a challenge.

''Well… my boss wants to have a word with you?'' He answers awkwardly which just makes her roll her eyes.

''Do you take me for an idiot? Father should have sent someone that was at least slightly convincing.''

His passive eyes shape into a heated glare.

''I don't work for your father, do I look like an Elf to you?''

She studies his face for a moment or two before her eyes lose their immense doubt, unfortunately however there was still a slither of it remaining.

''I guess so, A vampire would never work under father, and he wouldn't allow a vampire inside of the kingdom either.''

''What makes you say I'm a vampire?

She raises her perfectly shaped eyebrow.

''You aren't? With those eyes and your ghostly complexion, your age too… how peculiar.''

He nibbles on his lips, he isn't that pale.

''And how old are you anyway? Ten? Maybe elven?'' She inquires.

To hell with this.

Chucking the decapitated head towards the girl, she grabs it nimbly, but she doesn't register what it was straight away, but once she does her eyes widen like saucers.

''What… THE HELL!'' A girlish shriek comes out of her lips, launching the head at him, but he slips under it.

''You have two opinions, you can either agree to come with me, if you do then I'll eliminate those pesky little ants for you. The second option is that I leave you in here for the Orcs to have their way with you.''

And death would come to her, he could sense her magic and there wasn't even a single drop remaining in her tank.

He taps his chin, perhaps convincing her won't be as difficult as he previously imagined.

Tessia swallows the thick saliva down her throat.

''Fine.'' She concedes.

That was easier than I thought it would be.

In a single motion, he whips his hand to her neck, chopping it, and the last thing the Elf saw before her body hit the ground like a sack of potatoes was Naruto fading away like a ghost.

''Damn you.'' She whispers right before falling unconscious.

Maybe he was being paranoid, but just in case she was planning to escape while he was dealing with the remaining Orcs, some sleep might help her out.

Staring downwards, there he sees the two Orcs looking on in confusion, their anger takes a back seat for a minute, but it quickly returns with a burning vengeance.

I've already dealt with three, two more shouldn't be much of an issue.

And it wasn't like those Orcs where anything impressive, no stronger than a two-winged angel, even that is giving them more credit than they deserve.

Hurling a bolt at lightning at the only female orc in the cave, the only reason why he was able to tell the male and female apart was because of their chests, the mound of flesh, or perhaps it was just a fat guy? Who knows.

His bolt of lightning strikes right through her heart, zapping and destroying it in mere seconds.

''You! How dare you!'' The remaining Orcs anger is so overflowing that the only thing that could come out of his mouth was gibberish.

It's time for this to end.

Bringing his arm up to his ears, blocking the incoming hook that flew at him.

''Too slow, you're going have to do better than that.''

Like a phantom his hand goes right through the beats chest, he could feel it beating like a drum. His heart perhaps, with his powerful hands he squashing it into nothingness, he pulls his hands off, jumping back before the Orc could collapse on him.

Flicking his arm around, a feeble attempt to get the sticky Orcs blood off of him.

At least that's done.

''Shit.''

A thought that hit him harder a punch from Hercules himself climbs its way to the surface.

How the hell was he supposed to get out of here?

End

Unlike my other Naruto fic Naruto's biological parents will still be Kushina and Minato, and the reason why he has red eyes will be explained later on, even if it won't be for a little while.
