An hour before dinner time came, Hiccup laid beside Astrid in his bed relaxing after making love to each.

Astrid comments "my mom told me that she demanded that I room with you after talking about you with Ruffnut and Cami."

Hiccup nods his head "yes, your mom told me that after I told her that I feel like not wanting to marry you after you talk about how you wouldn't make love to me because I was undesirable while I was heir."

Astrid sighs "I'm sorry about that Hiccup."

Hiccup sighs "I didn't want to force you to love me, Astrid. I wanted to win your love by submit to you, present you with a flower everytime your old one died. I would never do anything to you to make you not like me."

Astrid sighs "Hiccup, I think to make our marriage work, we make love after dinner everytime you feel hurt by me from our past."

Hiccup sighs "I would have to but ingredients for moon tea so you don't conceive our baby unless you want to have a baby."

Astrid comments "after Runa turns four years old."

Astrid comments "I'm hungry for food unless you want to make love again?"

They get dressed and head downstairs to see Valka sitting at the table drinking honey tea.

Valka ask "so have you decided on wanting to have a baby together now or wait longer before having a baby?"

Astrid smiles "told him I want to wait until Runa turns four before I bare his second child."

Valka sets a mug of moon tea on the table for Astrid to drink.

They leave the house to go do their chores.

Hiccup made his rounds around the village to make sure the villagers take care of their lands.

Toothless had the Gronckles haul firewood on sheighs.

A nadder landed beside him and chirped in warning.

The nadder grab him and flew him west to look.

Hiccup gape in shock and says "okay everyone needs to take shelter in the hall."

They land on the ground.

Hiccup yells "TOOTHLESS! WINTER STORM PROTOCOL!"

Toothless roared in response to order the dragons to take shelter in the ice nest.

Two Monstrous Nightmares took cover by the great hall doors.

Stoick ask "son, what's going on?"

Hiccup answers "winter storm coming! Have the villagers take shelter in the hall. Grab bed rolls, stock food in basket and have Gronckles carry them to the hall."

Gronckle carry wood from the forest villagers holding axes.

Hiccup commands "Gronckle bring the wood to that big building, please."

Astrid walked upto him with Runa and ask "what's going on?"

Hiccup says "winter storm is coming. I need Alistair to go to Gothi and grab her and two empty jars."

He turns to Cami and says "when all the villagers are in the hall have them group in families and so that we know who would be missing. Have Valka and Ingrid give you a hand."

Snotlout smirks "why do you worry about the villagers? They can take care of themselves."

Hiccup scowls "I AM SO FUCKING GLAD I FORCE MY DAD TO PASS ME THE CHIEFTAINSHIP BECAUSE YOU DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE VILLAGERS.

I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY WOULD WANT AN IDIOT LIKE YOU AS CHIEF. GET YOUR ASS TO THE HALL NOW AND START PUTTING THE LOGS IN A TRIANGLE IN ALL FOUR CORNERS!"

Snotlout gulp at the fury of Hiccup and ran to the hall.

Hiccup sighs "how did I get more brains than my idiot cousin."

He continues getting the villagers to safely.

Deadly Nadders help chop two more trees down and carry them to the hall and chop them into pieces.

Hiccup collect Nightmare jel off of the Monstrous Nightmares then had them there fly to the ice nest to save their fuel to keep warm.

After everything was ready, Hiccup check over everything and tells Toothless "take shelter in the ice nest. Wait until the storm stop snowing and light the path and unthaw the doors."

Toothless nods his head and flies to the ice nest.

Stoick ask "son? How did you know a snow storm was coming?"

Hiccup answers "dragon scouts to scout for danger. They fly a hundred feet away and search for danger."

He takes a brush and did it in the jar and paint the logs in Nightmare jel and lights it with inferno.

after all four towers were lit, he puts a vent panel over the fire for the smoke to escape outside so the hall doesn't fill up with smoke.

Gobber ask "Hiccup? What is that device?"

Hiccup sighs closing his eyes "it's a vent to direct fire smoke out of the building like this. I had four of them built for this hall for during winter storm like this.

I always said that my inventions could work if idiots would stop messing with my stuff."

He sets the other three up to keep the hall warm and sits down in the shade spot on his bed roll facing away from everyone.

Ingrid sighs "he never had anyone support him."

Valka widen her eyes in shock and ask "he was the heir and no one trusted him?"

Astrid sighs "yes."

Gobber sighs "he does come up with ideas and passed a test to prove he can handle being chief with help of dragons."

Snotlout grumbles "big deal that he use dragons to help stock up supplies for winter storm. What was wrong with our houses?"

Hiccup sighs "you will always be the stupid one in the family because the houses aren't made to handle the weight of four dragons on one roof before it caves in.

Winter storm can dump weight of five dragons depending on how long the storm is. Being Chief means you have to be smarter than anyone else in here.

If you all still want Snotlout to be chief, you all wouldn't last winter because he doesn't care about any of you. He expects everything handed to him."

He covers himself up to hide from view.

Stoick nervous ask "Gobber, what happen to Hiccup?"

Gobber sighs "don't you remember his birth runes? He was supposed to end the dragon raids with a Night Fury while suffering emotional pain."

Gobber sighs "this is what happens when you turn five and realized that your tribe didn't want you and you learn to accept that you will never know what it's like to beloved by your tribe."

Astrid widen her eyes at what he is upset about "love, trust, support from members and family" and decides to go over to him and sleep next to him.

She place her bed roll beside him and lays down against him and says "babe, you have my love, trust and support as your wife.

I don't care if we're not married right now, but I'll room with you from now on until you believe me that I love you and your a good husband and father and chief" and lightly kisses his cheek.

Hiccup rolls over to see Astrid and wraps his arms around her back and close his eyes "I always loved you Astrid. When you said those mean things, I didn't expect my best friend would hurt me like that.

I destroyed everything of us because I wanted to erase my crush on you."

Ingrid place Runa between them.

Everyone ate dinner while Hiccup and Astrid slept next to each other with Runa between them.

Gobber sighs "I guess Hiccup needed his crush back to make him feel better."

Alistair comments "after the winter storm, we're build them a house to live in together like a family and let them build their love for each other."

Ingrid grins "that's a good idea."

Two hours later, Snotlout scowls at Hiccup and Astrid and turns to Astrid's parents sleeping along with everyone else and decides to make them pay.

He tip toe over to Ingrid after grabbing a knife and prepares to stab her when a fireball is shot at his hand holding the knife and holds his hand. Alistair and Ingrid woke up to Snotlout yulp in pain.

Alistair looks at the knife on the ground and says "you should go back to your bed roll before anyone wakes up and Hiccup will hear about this."

A terrible terror lands in front of Alistair and blast Snotlout in his face.

Snotlout screamed in pain waking everyone up in the hall.

Stoick ask "what happened?"

Hiccup rubbed his eyes "simple, Snotlout tried something with Astrid's parents and Sneaky caught him."

Snotlout crying in pain.

Hiccup sighs, getting up and walking over to the head table with a inferno and grabs a bottle of honey syrup and walks over to Snotlout and pours it on his burn face.

Afterwards he comments "this is an example of you being stupid attempting to stab Astrid's parents when I'm Dragon Master."

Ingrid gasped "he tried to do what?!"

Hiccup finished rubbing honey on Snotlout's face and says "now your lucky I don't have anything to tie you up, you little shit.

If you try another thing, I'll send for Toothless to collect you and you'll stay in the ice nest alone and Toothless will make sure you have twenty-four hour watch until the storm is over. Do I make myself clear?"

Snotlout gulps in fear.

Hiccup points to the opposite corner of his spot and says "get over there and go to sleep!"

Snotlout moves his bed roll to the back corner by a fire teepee to stay warm.

Hiccup goes back to his spot by Astrid and his daughter and lays down to sleep.

Astrid comments "you taking the roll of Chief makes you a desirable man when you use dragons to warn villagers not to harm the person you care about."

Hiccup whispers "so much for us rooming together at either of our houses thanks to the winter storm."

Astrid curious ask "when did you let Sneaky in the hall?"

Hiccup grins "actually it's Sneaky and Cutie taking shifts to watch Snotlout, Snorr, Dogsbreath and Sven."

Astrid pouts "I'm sorry for abandoning you as a friend. What made you give me a second chance?"

Hiccup sighs "Gobber told me about Snotlout pursue you when you gave my dad your shield and your mom wanted us to reconcile because you cried every night looking at a picture of us when we were five years old before you stop hanging around me to save your image."

Astrid sighs "you forgive me?"

Hiccup grins "after the winter storm is over and everything is fixed up, I'll show you that I forgive you."

They go back to sleep for the rest of the night.

Runa woke up to have her diaper changed.

In the morning, Valka looks at her son to see Runa in one his right arm, Astrid laying on his chest with his left arm around her waist looking like a married family.

Stoick look at them with Alistair and Ingrid.

The villagers woke up and look at how Hiccup and Astrid are sleeping with Runa.

Hiccup stirs to see everyone staring at him and ask "what's wrong?"

Valka grins "son, your sleeping like you just married Astrid without a ceremony."

Hiccup looks down to see how they're sleeping and says "Astrid? Time to wake up."

Astrid mumbles "no, want to sleep more with my husband."

Hiccup rubs her back "Astrid, I have to check if the storm has past."

Astrid whines "No!"

Stoick sighs and goes check the door to see three feet of snow and house roofs dipping in and says "well, son, the house roofs will need to be repaired."

Hiccup answers "okay, Sneaky? Go have the Monstrous Nightmares light the roofs."

Spitelout gape "light the roofs on fire?! Their burn the houses down!"

Ingrid sighs "just watch what the dragons do! He trust the dragons! So we should trust him!"

Monstrous Nightmares zoom past houses flames up melting snow on the roofs.

After the Nightmares ran out of fuel, deadly Nadders spay their fire to melt the rest of the snow.

Gronckles melt paths to houses.

Afterwards everyone looked at Hiccup with guilt for exile him out of the tribe."

Astrid open her eyes and kiss Hiccup.

Gothi walk up to them with union fleece and wrapped it around them.

Alistair widen his eyes in surprise.

Hiccup comments "Gothi I don't think I was ready for that."

Gothi writes in sand for Gobber to translate "she says you both chose each other and love each other. If you plan on rooming with each other, you have to marry her incase she falls pregnant."
